Nebraska and Missouri tried to play a volleyball match at Wrigley Field on Sunday night in what seemed like a fun, unique battle for the two programs as part of the Big Ten-SEC Volleyball Challenge.
It was just way, way too hot and humid in Chicago for the game to work.
The Big Ten suspended the match after a long delay on Sunday night, ending the contest early in front of a sold-out crowd at Wrigley Field. It's unclear when the match will be played between the two schools, if it is at all.
"Due to weather conditions affecting the court surface, Sunday's volleyball match between Nebraska and Missouri has been suspended," the Big Ten said in a statement. "Despite best efforts and in collaboration with all parties, rescheduling at Wrigley Field is not possible. A decision on match continuation at the point of suspension will be announced at a later date."
The court, which was built in the outfield of the Chicago Cubs' iconic stadium, was incredibly slippery throughout the match. Just three points into the opening set, everybody stopped, grabbed a towel and started wiping the floor, players included.

(NEXSTAR) – Building a collection of unique banknotes? You'd be off to a solid start if you find one with a "solid" serial number.
A "solid" serial number, as known to collectors, is a serial number on a U.S. banknote that features only a single repeating digit, such as "11111111" or "77777777." Bills with such numbers might not be quite as rare as, say, a discontinued banknote or a bill with a double denomination error, but they're still among some of the most recognized "oddities" in paper-money collecting, according to Doug Mudd, the curator and director of the American Numismatics ***** ociation's Edward C. Rochette Money Museum in Colorado.
"As a type, they are somewhat popular because they are more readily noticeable," Mudd tells Nexstar.
Mudd pointed out, however, that a "solid" serial number is technically "just as rare or common as any other," mathematically speaking. But much like collectors who seek out "radar" serial numbers (i.e., palindromic numbers, such as 12344321 or 55433455), there are indeed niche collectors willing to pay well over face value for more unique specimens.
In fact, banknotes with solid serial numbers generally fetch more than other so-called "fancy" serial numbers, seeing as there are fewer possible bills with solid numbers in a series.

On September 1, Rezolve AI (NASDAQ:RZLV) reported first-half revenue of $130.8 million, up from just $6.3 million a year earlier, a jump of roughly 1,970%. The AI commerce and payments company also said its enterprise customer base grew to 1,640 accounts. Numbers like that demand attention, but the same report showed losses widening even faster than sales. Here's what's really going on underneath the headline growth rate.
Rezolve's enterprise base grew from 950 customers at the end of the prior fiscal year to 1,640 by June 30, and management is leaning on partnerships with Microsoft, Google, Tata Consultancy Services, and Tech Mahindra to keep that pipeline filling without building out its own global sales force. That distribution strategy got a notable vote of confidence after the quarter closed: Google selected Rezolve's proprietary distributed database technology following a technical evaluation of 24 competing companies, and the system is now indexing roughly 100 terabytes of data across 10 blockchain networks inside Google Cloud's infrastructure.
The platform also proved it can handle real traffic. During the FIFA 2026 World Cup measurement window from June 1 through July 31, Rezolve's technology logged about 103 million app opens from 9.86 million unique devices across 16 stadiums, along with 5.84 million geofence events. On the loyalty and payments side, the recently completed acquisition of Reward Loyalty expanded Rezolve's footprint to more than 15 markets, and a partnership with Zilch now touches almost 6 million customers, driving over $3.3 billion a year to partner merchants. Management reaffirmed guidance for approximately $360 million in full-year 2026 revenue, implying second-half sales near $229 million, and reiterated a target of at least $500 million in annual recurring revenue by year-end.
Growth this fast has come at a steep price. Rezolve's operating loss widened to $128.1 million in the first half of 2026, compared with $32.4 million a year earlier, and net loss grew to $139.5 million from $57.9 million. Some of that reflects noncash items, including $41.5 million in share-based compensation and $20.4 million in depreciation and amortization, but cash is also going out the door faster. Net cash used in operating activities jumped to $96.1 million from $19.8 million in the prior-year period, and investing activities consumed another $148.3 million, largely tied to acquisitions and platform development.

The scene in Bilbao, in 2024, foreshadowed the change that would come. Michele Kang, the owner of OL Lyonnes, strode around the edge of the pitch in the San Mames to greet the travelling supporters of the women's football powerhouse, who were buoyed by her ambition and intent to invest. Barcelona won 2-0 to lift their third Women's Champions League **** le in four years, thanks to goals from their two Ballon d'Or winners Aitana Bonmati and Alexia Putellas. But while Kang, the South Korean-born American billionaire and philanthropist, vowed that Lyonnes would return stronger, her sphere of influence was also primed to have an impact elsewhere.
As well as the French champions, Kang owned two other teams as part of her multi-club Kynisca group, the US side Washington Spirit and the London City Lionesses, based out of Bromley and playing in the second tier of English women's football. Two years on, driven by Kang's vision and fuelled by her deep pockets, London City have secured promotion and undergone a remarkable makeover. From that Champions League final alone, they have signed not just Putellas, making the Spain international and World Cup winner the biggest overseas signing in Women's Super League history, but two of her Barcelona team-mates in Mapi Leon and Jana Fernandez. From sister club Lyonnes, London City have signed two of their starting forwards in Kadidiatou Diani and Delphine Cascarino, as well as midfielder Danielle van de Donk.

Within two years, London City have disrupted women's football and have now set their sights on challenging for the WSL **** le. The trailblazing feminist activist died at her home in New York City on Wednesday. She was 92.
Following the sad news, Fonda issued a heartfelt statement via Instagram.
"Gloria, in her graceful, kind, and deeply intelligent way, changed the world we live in," she wrote. "(Gloria) had a clever, often funny way to say just what was needed to surface feelings and ideas about where we belonged, what our inchoate yearnings meant, whether power was a word that women could and should embrace for ourselves, and how different power looked when held in men's hands alone."
While her own message, Barbra recalled how she was "deeply impressed" by Gloria from the moment they met in the 1970s.
"What made her so extraordinary was not only the strength of her convictions, but the humanity and grace with which she expressed them," the legendary singer-actress mused. Following her viral moment, she shared a photo of her full outfit on her Instagram on Sept. 3. She paired her black crop top with a black Adidas skirt with their iconic white stripes. The skirt was layered in an asymmetrical placement that made her look not only sporty but unique. The Washington Spirit star signed a record-breaking contract extension with the sports brand earlier this year.

Miami star receiver Malachi Toney has a big new NIL deal to show off just before the 2026 campaign officially begins for the Hurricanes. He's now got an endorsement deal with Adidas.
According to a post on social media from Nice Kicks, Toney signed with Adidas, joining an elite roster that includes the likes of Patrick Mahomes, Fernando Mendoza, Travis Hunter and Jeremiah Smith.
