Elic Ayomanor has shined in the opening two weeks of Tennessee ****** ans training camp.
However, Ayomanor suffered an injury on Aug. 6, a day before the team's scrimmage at Nissan Stadium.
Ayomanor injured his left shoulder during a red zone drill after Ayomanor caught a pass from QB Cam Ward.
Kevin Winston Jr. came across and hit the wide receiver, knocking the ball out leading to the injury. Ayomanor walked off with trainers.
Winston later came over to the offensive side to check on his status, but Ayomanor was already gone.

New Bayer Leverkusen coach Carles Martínez is a true football addict which didn't even stop at his wedding.
"The invitation said: Don't forgot your football boots," Martínez said in an interview with Thursday edition of daily Süddeutsche Zeitung.
"We set up a small pitch and organized matches. Five v five, for a few minutes. I was wearing a suit and tie, captain's armband - and football boots," he recalled.
Martínez, 42, said he also missed the birth of his first child in 2024 because he was in Metz with his then French club Toulouse for a match while his wife was in labour in their native Spain.
He left Toulouse after three years to sign a two-year contract in Leverkusen in succession of Kasper Hjulmand, two years after compatriot Xabi Alonso led the German club to a historic unbeaten Bundesliga and German Cup double.

Real Madrid have agreed a €135 million ($156 million) deal with RB Leipzig for teenage Ivory Coast forward Yan Diomande, the Press ***** ociation understands.
Diomande's rapid rise for Leipzig in the Bundesliga last season led to a host of Europe's top clubs queuing up to buy him and Real appear to have won the race for his signature after tabling a fee of €135 million.
Diomande will become the most expensive African footballer ever should the deal be completed.
Paris St Germain pulled out of the race to sign him last month, leaving the way clear for Madrid to close in on the 19-year-old, who scored 13 goals and made 10 ***** ists for Leipzig during the 2025-26 campaign.
Diomande's extraordinary progress is a classic rags-to-riches story. He had trials with Chelsea, Bournemouth, Crystal Palace and Rangers before being offered a contract with Spanish side Leganes in March 2025.

Antonio Senzatela had a whirlwind of a day.
This morning, he landed in Milwaukee after spending 15 years playing for the Colorado Rockies organization, and by 8 pm, he was pitching his first game as a Milwaukee Brewer.
"It feels a little weird," Senzatela said after the game.
The Brewers traded for the right-handed pitcher in the final hour before the MLB trade deadline on Monday afternoon. The turnaround was so quick that Senzatela's teammate and starting pitcher, Logan Henderson, didn't realize that he had made it to Milwaukee until he saw Senzatela warming up in the bullpen during the fifth inning.
Henderson said the first time they met was when Senzatela told him, "Good game," in the dugout in between innings.

Arsène Wenger has publicly distanced himself from FIFA's abandoned plan to open part of its commercial operations to private investors, revealing that he only discovered the proposal through media reports, according to RMC Sport.
FIFA president Gianni Infantino has faced growing opposition since the proposed creation of a new commercial company, which would have allowed private investors to acquire a stake in the governing body's activities.
Although Infantino announced over the weekend that the project had been definitively abandoned, criticism has continued from both UEFA and senior figures within FIFA.
"The decision to withdraw the project was absolutely necessary and indisputable, because I firmly believe in an independent FIFA that serves our sport with commitment, transparency and integrity," Wenger said in a statement relayed by RMC Sport.
"I was not involved in this project, which I learned about through the press."

That's the answer. I'm not going to do the online recipe thing and tell you about that time I did this and that and the other before I get there with 4 sections and 3 false endings so you accidentally click on a Carnival Cruise Line ad instead of knowing how many onions to add. In the hours since he traded 100 of your favorite prospects for Adley Rutschman and dumped 23-yr-old, former No. 4 overall pick Marcelo Mayer an hour later for a left-handed reliever, Red Sox Poobah Craig Breslow has been modestly and somewhat widely accused of grossly overpaying for two players, albeit in contrasting scenarios. In one case, he dealt the star; in the other, he acquired one. Some critics hated it both coming and going, and while we do not personally judge them for all-too-human mistakes of ****** yses, they are incorrect. This was good. Craig did good.
In an MLB that existed before today, before today's actions under the cloud of impending labor warfare, perhaps there would have been self-restraint. Maybe it was just the third straight annual sacrifice of the best player in baseball to the Dodgers the day prior, but the ****** pers were off and phones were lighting up, both those of the team and mine with push alerts. I ****** ume it wasn't just mine. Any inhibition league-wide was tossed to the wind, the getting was good, and Bres, treating his prospects correctly, got his guys. Whatever the counterarguments, the prospects will grow back, and this year's team is now inarguably better via the Rutschman addition. Inshallah.
If I find it hard to quibble, it could be because at the FanDuel Sportsbook the Sox have the 5th best odds, -$1500, to win the whole dang thing! To be fair to the Rays — which doesn't feel natural, but whatever — they're also at -$1500. Both teams are ahead of the Phillies at +1900, the Cubs at +2200 and the Angels and Mets at a cool +100000 each. (Perhaps you can predict baseball?) Anyhow, the Yankees are the only team with shorter odds in the AL than the Sox and the Rays at +600. But they stink, so all is fine.
However this season ends, it's reignited a spark around here that hasn't been lit since 2021 and hasn't roared in nearly 10 years. The Blue Jays were two outs away from winning it all last year and changing the whole labor narrative, some say, tho ultimately I don't think by much. Meaning the Sox have a shot. While I love that the Dodgers (a preposterous +160) do their thing, they're up against a emboldened, whiny club of failsons who've had it out for them from the word go and this is something of a last stand. The only other thing that can bring the Dodgers down, seemingly, is the Sox, who just swept them in LA. They're now Sox likely to make the playoffs (-950) and are closing in on the division (Rays -110, Yankees +155) at +430. The sportsbooks plainly recognize, respect and reflect Bres's ambition. The reward is ours.

The Seattle Mariners and Chicago White Sox pulled off the biggest trade of 2026, two days before the Aug. 3 MLB trade deadline.
The White Sox are acquiring starting pitcher Luis Castillo, a three-time All-Star, according to multiple reports. The Mariners will get reliever Seranthony Dominguez, outfielder Nolan Jones and catching prospect Boston Smith. ESPN's Jeff Passan was first to report the deal was in place.
It's a rare trade between two contending teams — the White Sox are leading the American League Central, while Seattle is 2.5 games out of the third and final AL Wild Card berth.
MORE: Mets make trade, begin trade deadline activity by sending reliever to Twins
The trade also resolves the season-long intrigue around the Mariners' six-man starting rotation — a luxury for a team that has struggled to defend its first-ever run to the AL Championship Series a year ago.

The San Francisco 49ers brought back wide receiver Deebo Samuel on a one-year deal worth up to $7 million yesterday. Their offseason has been a case of "keeping up with the Joneses" in the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks are preparing to defend their Super Bowl LX ****** le. The Los Angeles Rams made one of the biggest trades in the history of the sport for Myles Garrett. From Seattle's perspective, though, this should only make them even more excited about where they're at right now.
Skip to the 0:15 mark of this video to see why:
In one of the most iconic plays of his rookie season, Nick Emmanwori dominated Samuel as thoroughly as you'll ever see. The Washington Commanders schemed up a screen for Deebo on 1st-and-10. It came right after Samuel, working out of the slot, caught and ran for a 19-yard gain — the Commanders' biggest play of the night through three quarters. Emmanwori read the play like a book. He blew up his blocker and beat Deebo to the spot for a tackle for loss. The stark difference in athleticism and gameplan in this area of the field was as apparent as it's ever been.
The 49ers are banking on that same weapon, now a year older and further from his prime, against the same matchup locksmith for the Seahawks. He's also a year older, but heading toward his prime instead of leaving it. That math doesn't favor San Francisco.
At this point, Samuel must be a locker-room signing for Shanahan's group. Mike Evans alluded to as much in this press conference yesterday.

Rich Paul thinks Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe will benefit from playing with LeBron James originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Across his 23 years in the NBA, LeBron James has always been a positive presence for a lot of players. This includes the younger players, who have learned from him. New Philadelphia 76ers teammate VJ Edgecombe is only entering his second year, but playing with James has been polarizing for some people.
Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has never been shy to give his take on certain situations. Since the Warriors missed out on signing LeBron, Draymond has given his take on how the former could harm VJ's development in Philly.
While the 76ers are celebrating the fact that LeBron will be playing for them, it seems some critics are unhappy with how VJ will be affected by this new signing. It is a bit of a bizarre sentiment, considering Edgecombe himself is quite excited by the fact that he will be playing alongside the four-time Finals MVP.
It will be challenging to beat out any other player who can be as impactful as James for Edgecombe. The latter might be quite young at only 21, but he is mature and ******* ertive enough to earn a spot in the starting lineup. In fact, he and Maxey could benefit massively from playing alongside James.

The San Francisco 49ers on Friday officially activated defensive tackle Alfred Collins off the Physically Unable to Perform list.
Collins, who was working through a shoulder injury, was on the field for Friday's practice according to reporters at the team's practice facility.
This move doesn't come as a huge surprise after general manager John Lynch in a press conference at the start of camp indicated Collins would be back for the team's second set of training camp practices. Friday officially marks the start of their second round of on-field sessions. It'll be their first practice in pads.
Collins is one of the biggest keys to the season for the 49ers. He was a second-round pick in last year's draft and brings the requisite size and athleticism to be a three-down force on the interior. There were flashes from Collins in Year 1 as a pass rusher and as a run defender, but he didn't string enough of those moments together for long enough to be impactful. He finished the season with 17 tackles, one tackle for loss, 1.0 sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.
This season San Francisco badly needs the interior of its defensive line to be improve. Acquiring Osa Odighizuwa in a trade with the Dallas Cowboys will help. A breakout year from Collins would be something that lifts the 49ers in the immediate and in the future.

Wikipedia exists to remind us Smart did indeed take Georgia to the national ****** le game in his second season, which infamously ended on 2nd-and-26 with the Bulldogs losing to Alabama in overtime.
Smart's bio also reminds us he didn't win his first national championship until his sixth season.

The Houston Texans 2026 season is officially underway.
With players reporting to camp, football has returned, opening a new chapter in the franchise's history with a chance to finally reach the Super Bowl.
This should be one of the league's more complete teams. The Texans return nine starters on defense and upgraded the offensive line. They have veterans stepping up at wide receiver and bolstered the run game with a massive trade in the offseason.
Everything comes down to meeting expectations, primarily with the offensive pieces. C.J. Stroud is geared up for another campaign, but how will he respond knowing there's a contract potentially waiting for him at the season's end? Who else needs to step up and prove their value?
Several names must impress at this training camp. Here's Texans Wire's top 12 players to watch over the next month.

"We are disappointed by today's High Court judgment concerning the planning permission for our proposed Women's and Girls' Training Centre at Whitewebbs.

LeBron James signed with the Philadelphia 76ers in free agency as he looks to chase another NBA ***** le before calling it a career. The 22-time All-Star took a significant pay cut to do so.
After making nearly $53 million with the Los Angeles Lakers last season, James accepted a two-year contract worth the veteran minimum. The decision allowed Philadelphia – which already has two of the NBA's eight highest-paid players for 2026-27 in Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown – to be able to afford the 41-year-old superstar.
James' new deal with the 76ers will be worth just under $8 million over two years. He is set to make just under $3.9 million in the first year of his contract, which will mark the least he has earned during a single NBA season, coming in just short of the $4.02 million he made during his rookie season in 2003-04.
Just how cheap is James' deal for his first season in Philadelphia? A total of 292 NBA players will be making more than him during the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season, making James one of the best values league-wide.

After the failure and subsequent sacking of Julian Nagelsmann, Germany had to go out and get a new coach for the national team. Thankfully, unlike some other footballing nations, the Germans had a top level coach just sitting around waiting for the opportunity.
Jürgen Klopp is now the new head coach of the DFB, and he plans to make changes. In his first press conference, he elaborated on what things will look like with him in charge.
“As a coaching team, we want to present a complete package,” said the former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool FC manager (via iMiaSanMia). “I’ve never been a coach who just shows up, puts the players through their paces, and then goes home when training is over. I’ve always taken care of things that happen at the club. Now it’s a federation, now it’s a country. I’ve always felt responsible at the club I was working for. I feel a responsibility to everyone who’s a football fan in this country. And that means doing the job as well as possible.”
“I want to get very involved in the structures,” he explained (via iMiaSanMia). “Whoever brings in Jürgen, gets Jürgen. Everyone is happy today, but I’m not sure if that will be the case every day. I want to improve everything. I want to present the German national team in a positive light, so that we can eventually get back to the top. I’m looking forward to the challenge.”
Well, if there is anyone who can fix Germany, it’s Klopp. Fans eagerly await this new era of the DFB.

IndyCar's Scott Dixon drew criticism from NASCAR radio host Danielle Trotta on Sirius XM's On Track for saying NASCAR races are boring ... but social media isn't sure that's what he actually said.
In an interview with Frontstretch.com prior to IndyCar's Music City Grand Prix, Dixon was asked about the length of the race at 300 laps.
"I don't know," Dixon said, though the race was cut back to 225 laps when it was delayed until Monday. "I don't know. I find it really hard to watch Cup races. It allows for a nap. Maybe that's good. I don't know."
Trotta responded: "I can not believe Scott Dixon said that. The irony of an IndyCar racer saying our races are bad? Bro. You want to take a shot at NASCAR. Look at your ratings.

São Paulo and Corinthians were each punished by FIFA with a transfer ban this Tuesday, according to ge.
As a result, Tricolor is temporarily prohibited from registering new players. In Timão's case, this is the fourth accumulated transfer ban (three from FIFA and one from the CBF).
In São Paulo's case, the sanction stems from the delayed payment of 1.05 million euros (around R$ 6.08 million) to Lazio, of Italy, related to the first installment for the signing of midfielder Marcos Antônio.
The measure directly affects the team's planning. Although defensive midfielder Newton was registered with the CBF in time, the recently announced Aurélio Buta and Victor Sá still do not have legal clearance to play. The punishment also prevents the completion and registration of center-back Domingos Duarte's signing.
In Corinthians' case, the new transfer ban is related to the non-payment for defensive midfielder Charles to Midtjylland, of Denmark, in 2024.

The LeBron James free agency saga continues, and it is anyone's guess which team he will sign with in free agency or even when he will officially make a decision.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves are considered the biggest contenders for James' services. A strong argument could be made that James' best chance of winning his fifth NBA championship would come with the 76ers.
The 76ers recently traded for five-time All-Star wing Jaylen Brown, and they should be legitimate contenders even without James. According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, Brown, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey, Philly's three main stars, have all talked to James.
"As LeBron James' free agency decision extends into its second week, the Philadelphia 76ers have kept up their pursuit of the four-time NBA champion through three of their players, league sources told ESPN.
"Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid and Jaylen Brown have all been in communication with James, sources told ESPN on Tuesday, with Maxey leading the charge."

Tuesday marked a tragic day for the Houston Texans' organization as the franchise announced that co-founder and senior chair Janice McNair had died Tuesday at the age of 89.
Now, former players have shared their appreciation, love, the condolonces for the passing of the woman who transformed them into stars, including the greatest player in franchise history.
Three-time Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt posted on social media his love for the woman that helped bring him home in 2011 with the 11th overall pick.
“Rest in Peace Janice,” Watt wrote on X . “All of us who were graced with your presence and kindness are better for it.”
Moving to Houston in 1960, Janice and Bob raised four children and were responsible for bringing football back to the city after Bud Adams moved the Oilers to Tennessee in 1997. In 1998, the McNairs spent $700 million in 1998 to purchase an expansion franchise, making Houston the 32nd NFL team in league history.
