GENEVA (AP) — Human rights experts commissioned by the U.N.'s top human rights body say they have found "reasonable grounds" to believe the United States committed war crimes in two strikes in Iran, including on a school in the southern city of Minab.
The international fact-finding mission on Iran says the findings center on a pair of airstrikes that killed at least 178 civilians, including women and children.
At the start of the U.S.-Israeli war against Iran in February, at least one U.S. missile hit the Shajareh Tayyebeh school in Minab, according to an ****** ociated Press investigation. There has been no final accounting of what happened. Iranian state media have said 168 people were killed in the strike, most of them children.
"Following the United States and Israeli attacks on 28 February, the mission found reasonable grounds to believe the United States committed the war crime of launching indiscriminate attacks resulting in the loss of life or injury to civilians or damage to civilian objects," the fact-finding team said in a statement.
The Trump administration has yet to directly accept the blame or release findings of a Pentagon investigation into the school bombing.

On August 14, the Pentagon announced framework agreements with The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) and RTX Corporation (NYSE:RTX) to increase component production for the SM-3 Block IIA and SM-3 Block IB interceptors. Both agreements are intended to increase the output of a group of ship-fired, surface-to-air interceptors that serve as the foundation for the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense System, the sea-based shield used by the US Navy to intercept ballistic missiles.
The announcement had little impact on the shares of both companies, with The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) down around 0.4% and RTX Corporation (NYSE:RTX) down about 1% during the day.
RTX Corporation (NYSE:RTX) alone inked five separate Pentagon deals earlier this year to greatly boost output of Tomahawk cruise missiles, AMRAAM air-to-air missiles, and the Standard Missile family, with Tomahawk production expected to increase sixteenfold, from approximately 60 to 1,000 units per year.
Congress has provided financial support for the effort. The 2026 defense spending bill provided multiyear procurement authority for eight critical munitions and more than $6.3 billion for 13 critical munitions, while the Pentagon's fiscal 2027 budget request calls for roughly $95 billion in missile procurement.
Rising tensions with Iran have added urgency to rebuild US missile inventories. During the June 2025 12-day Israel-Iran war, US forces reportedly used more than 150 THAAD interceptors. This highlights the pressure that sustained conflict can place on American missile-defense stockpiles.

Brent crude climbed above $108 a barrel on Tuesday as traders grew increasingly uncertain about when Saudi Arabia's East-West Pipeline would reopen, with fresh Houthi attacks on the kingdom and suspended oil loadings at its Red Sea export terminal adding to supply fears.
By 1:00 p.m. ET, Brent futures had climbed 3% to $108.88 per barrel, with U.S. West Texas Intermediate up 4.7% at $106.12. A close at those levels would mark the highest settlement for either contract in close to four months, according to Reuters. Prices have risen around 20% this month as fighting in the Persian Gulf has escalated.
According to shipping industry sources who spoke with Reuters, crude loadings at the Yanbu terminal on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast had been halted as of Tuesday. Separately, sources told Reuters that Saudi officials had notified European buyers that certain crude shipments scheduled for late September would not proceed.
Saudi Arabia shut down the East-West Pipeline after drone attacks originating from Iraq struck it last week, forcing the kingdom to halt the export route it had been using to bypass the Strait of Hormuz during the U.S.-Iran war. The pipeline can move up to 7 million barrels per day. Saudi officials have described the closure as a precautionary measure but have not provided a damage ******* sment or a timeline for resuming operations. U.K. authorities fear the pipeline may remain mostly shut for six weeks, according to Bloomberg.
Iran-backed Houthi militants in Yemen carried out additional strikes on Saudi Arabia on Monday. According to a spokesperson for the Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen, the group fired drones and ballistic missiles targeting the cities of Khamis Mushait, Abha, and Taif. According to Reuters, the Houthis claimed to have struck a military air base in Khamis Mushait, with their stated targets including hangars, radar installations, runway infrastructure, and stores of ammunition.

Moscow is preparing for a final test of a new ballistic missile capable of striking targets hundreds of miles away and potentially maneuvering in ways that could challenge Ukraine's already strained air defenses, a defense ******* yst warned Monday.
The warning comes as Ukrainian military officials said that Russia could conduct the test in the coming months and potentially in live-fire strikes.
"According to our estimates, Russia plans to conduct final tests of a new type of ballistic missile with a range of up to 800 km by the end of this year," Vadym Skibitskyi, deputy head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU), said at a meeting of the Ukraine-NATO Interparliamentary Council, according to Ukrainian news outlet Ukrainska Pravda.
"If, for instance, this 800-kilometer missile has more advanced maneuverability, well then that's going to create greater problems for Ukraine in that they're going to need the more sophisticated interceptors to get them," Tom Karako, director of the Missile Defense Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, told Fox News Digital.

The desperate pleas for air cover from Yemeni generals started coming mid-morning on Thursday. An advance by the Iran-backed Houthis toward Yemen's strategic port city of Mocha was in full swing, and backup support from chief ally Saudi Arabia was nowhere in sight.
"The Houthis committed everything they had – waves upon waves of fighters … along with their available ballistic missiles and weapons," a senior Yemeni source attached to their military forces told CNN. The source said he contacted the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) and was ******* ured the US was "watching the situation closely and that Saudi air support was coming."
"But the air support never came," the source said. "And Mocha has now fallen."
Hours later, on Friday, the Houthis captured another key coastal ******* et, Perim Island, at the mouth of the Red Sea. The island splits the Bab al-Mandeb Strait in two, giving Tehran de facto control over another key shipping route.
The Houthis' rapid advance amounts to an extraordinary 36 hours in a conflict that had been largely on ice for years. But the kindling for renewed fighting had been laid for months amid the conflict between the United States and Iran, as Tehran seeks to use oil prices – and their impact on the global economy – as leverage.

Sept 10 (Reuters) - The Israeli military destroyed Hezbollah underground infrastructure at the Ali al-Taher ridge in southern Lebanon, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister ‌Israel Katz said on Thursday, adding that the operation completed the consolidation ‌of a security zone in the area.
Israeli forces would remain in the area to prevent the Iran-aligned Hezbollah militant group from re-establishing its presence and rebuilding its capabilities, the two officials said in a joint statement.
The Ali al-Taher ridge, about 15 km (10 miles) from the Israeli border, has become one of the most contested areas of the war between Israel and Hezbollah. Hezbollah ‌is believed to have built an underground command centre and weapons stores there, according to Lebanese security sources who spoke to Reuters in July.
Lebanon's state news agency NNA said the Israeli military carried out a powerful blast at the ridge, with tremors and the sound of the explosion felt across Nabatieh and surrounding areas.
The Israeli military said its forces had established "operational control" over the ridge, both above and below ground, before dismantling the ‌infrastructure. The network extended for more than 2 km (1.24 miles) and contained dozens of rockets, missiles and drones, as well as anti-tank missiles, mines and explosive devices, it said.

Wall Street has bid up defense contractors on geopolitical tensions alongside expanded missile-defense funding, but Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) remains an outlier. On September 4, 2026, the company secured a $508.5 million Missile Defense Agency contract for ICBM and IRBM target flight-test support running through 2035. The non-competitive contract follows the $3 billion (approx.) in framework agreements to expand solid-rocket-motor production for PAC-3 and THAAD interceptors. Despite these bookings, stock slipped 2.5% to $515. The stock is trading near 16 times earnings and 33% below its peak, making Northrop one of the lowest-multiple prime defense contractors.
Northrop is one of the largest-cap defense contractors with exposure to Golden Dome through ******* e sensors and interceptors, while the Sentinel ICBM and the B-21 bomber provide additional exposure to broader U.S. strategic modernization. The recent bookings back that up: the $508.5 million MDA award, the ~$3 billion PAC-3 and THAAD agreements that will double and triple solid-rocket-motor capacity, and $1.4 billion of IBCS-related U.S. and Polish air-and-missile-defense awards announced in 2025. The latest MDA contract includes cost-plus, cost-reimbursable, and fixed-price-incentive elements, which reduce some financial exposure compared with purely fixed-price development work. Long-term missile-shield funding, however, remains tied to both political and defense bets. Legislative approval introduces timing risk, but the bull thesis is already working.
Execution problems explain the valuation discount. The Sentinel ICBM program triggered a critical Nunn-McCurdy breach after projected costs rose 81% to roughly $141 billion, forcing a Pentagon program restructuring. Concurrently, low-rate initial production on the B-21 bomber generated approximately $2 billion in pre-tax charges on fixed-price commitments. Management must demonstrate that these losses have ceased. Till then, multiple expansion will remain limited. Lockheed trades at roughly 19 times earnings compared with Northrop at about 16 times.
Institutional positioning does not point to aggressiveness in short trades. Our Insider Monkey database tracked 59 hedge funds holding NOC in the second quarter of 2026, compared to 62 in the first quarter. Short interest sits at 1.7% of the float, representing a low number of bets against the stock. Paired with -0.11 beta and a 1.9% dividend yield, the stock offers portfolio diversification at a discounted entry multiple.

Former LSU center Kate Koval has been granted a waiver by the NCAA to enter the transfer portal. The junior will be immediately eligible to compete for her next school, according to several reports.
The 6-foot-5 Ukrainian native decided to leave the LSU program two weeks ago for what was announced as "personal reasons." Speculation followed that Koval's decision was spurred by LSU coach Kim Mulkey adding Russian center Anna Minaeva to the roster.
Koval confirmed that was her reason for leaving LSU in a social media post.
"At the conclusion of last season, I fully intended to return and continue my collegiate career at LSU," Koval wrote. "However, in April, several days after the transfer portal had closed, I was informed of the decision to sign a Russian player."
"My father serves in the Ukrainian military and takes tremendous pride in defending his country against Russian aggression," she continued. "For me, this war is not distant or abstract. People close to me have been killed and wounded in Russian attacks, and places where I grew up and first began playing basketball have been destroyed by missile strikes."

Former LSU center Kate Koval is officially in the transfer portal and will be immediately eligible to compete after being granted a waiver, a source confirmed to The Athletic. The source spoke on the condition of anonymity because the source was not authorized to speak publicly about the situation.
Per NCAA rules, waivers to transfer outside of sport-specific transfer windows are granted only in an "exigent event outside the student-athlete's control unrelated to athletics opportunities or participation at their current institution that demands the student-athlete's immediate departure from the institution."
Koval, who was born and raised in Ukraine, recently said in an Instagram post that she was departing from LSU due to the Tigers' signing of Russian center Anna Minaeva, who had played for a professional team in Moscow. In late August, LSU had announced that Koval was leaving the program for "personal reasons."
"For me, this war is not distant or abstract," Koval wrote in her social media post. "People close to me have been killed and wounded in Russian attacks, and places where I grew up and first began playing basketball have been destroyed by missile strikes."
Koval's father serves in the Ukrainian military, which has been at war since Russia's 2022 invasion.

CAIRO/DUBAI, Sept 8 (Reuters) - Yemen's Tehran-backed Houthis attacked four cities in the south of U.S. ally Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, wounding more than 70 people and setting oil installations ablaze in what appeared to be a major expansion of the six-month-old Middle East war.
The Houthis, who ‌control most of Yemen's populated areas including the capital, said they had launched a broad operation deep into Saudi territory. They used drones and missiles to strike a ‌Saudi airbase in the southern city of Khamis Mushair, and targets belonging to Saudi Arabia's state oil company in nearby Abha, Najran on the Yemeni border and Jazan, a major Red Sea port.
Saudi authorities described blazes at the sites and said women and children were among the 73 people hurt. The reports of such large numbers of wounded suggested the attacks were among the biggest carried out against Saudi Arabia since the United States and Israel launched their war against Iran in February.
Confirmed images of the aftermath of the attacks in the Saudi cities were not immediately available. The Houthis released pictures of an explosion of what they said were trucks from Saudi Arabia they had struck at the border in another area.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Iran state media on Monday said a ballistic missile with improved capabilities was demonstrating a new doctrine: Tehran "will take action against any threat, even before it is carried out."
The report by Iran's state news agency repeatedly cited comments aired on state TV the day before by the head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, who boasted of new missile capability and claimed it had been "tested" against a U.S. warship. But it was not clear whether what was tested was the missile the new report described, the solid-fueled Qassem Basir.
The U.S. on Saturday said ballistic missiles were launched at U.S. warships and it struck three Iranian oil tankers in response. Experts called the launch a dangerous escalation, noting that until then Iran's attacks at sea had targeted commercial shipping during six months of war. The U.S. said the warships evaded the attacks.
Iran's messaging in recent days has become more ***** ertive, and Monday's report said the Qassem Basir marks "a turning point in Iran's defense strategy." It described the missile as having greater range and accuracy and a half-ton warhead. The missile was unveiled last year, when it was described as having at least a 1,200-kilometer (745-mile) range.
Concerns about Iran's ballistic missile program were one of the stated reasons the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran early this year, sparking the war.

DUBAI, Sept 7 (Reuters) - The United Arab Emirates is building alternative routes for its energy exports and trade to ensure they are not "held hostage" by the ongoing war between the U.S. ‌and Iran, UAE presidential adviser Anwar Gargash said on Monday.
The conflict has had a significant impact ‌on Gulf Arab states, including the UAE, after Tehran fired missiles at the country and attacked its oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz.
"Our energy exports will not be held hostage, nor will our trade and economic activity," Gargash told the Hili Forum in Abu Dhabi.
The UAE has been expanding port capacity along its eastern coast, as well as developing pipelines, railways and trade routes for alternative corridors, he said.
While acknowledging that relations with Iran could eventually recover, Gargash warned that ‌rebuilding trust after the attacks could take decades.

CAIRO (AP) — The new head of Iran's Supreme National Security Council on Sunday said Tehran plans to announce an "exclusion zone" outside the Strait of Hormuz aimed at vessels it believes are attempting to transit the waterway.
Mohsen Rezaei's comments to Iran's state broadcaster came with few details, a day after the U.S. struck three Iranian oil tankers in response to Tehran launching ballistic missiles at U.S. warships. Experts called the launches a dangerous escalation after Iran's previous attacks at sea targeted commercial shipping.
The new zone should be announced in the coming days and weeks and "will begin from the line of the U.S. naval blockade, extend toward the Strait of Hormuz, and from this side continue into the Persian Gulf," Rezaei said. "Any ship that enters this area with the intention of passing through the Strait of Hormuz and is identified will be placed on our sanctions list."
It is not clear where Iran defines the location of the weekslong U.S. blockade, which is aimed at Iranian ports and keeping Tehran from shipping out its oil. The U.S. military has said over 20 warships are supporting the blockade, which as of Sunday had redirected 92 commercial ships and disabled three.
The U.S. has been introducing new measures to increase the economic pain on Iran after negotiations collapsed and no end to the intermittent fighting appears in sight. Meanwhile, Iran continues to attack some ships trying to transit the strait, which has become an important source of leverage for Tehran in the war that began Feb. 28 with U.S. and Israeli strikes.

DUBAI, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Iran said it will step up efforts to tackle problems created by the U.S. sanctions that are crippling its economy, while a senior Iranian official warned of a "painful response" if it comes under further attack.
Six months after U.S.-Israeli strikes against Iran, the war appears to be at a stalemate. A preliminary ceasefire accord ‌reached in June has unravelled and little progress has been made in diplomatic efforts to get the peace process back on track.
After a pause in military action for much of ‌August, ******* -for-tat strikes have resumed with U.S. Central Command saying it hit three Iranian tankers on Saturday after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy ships.
Following the attacks, Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf said on Sunday that the U.S. should understand that the rules of the game in the war against Iran have changed "before it is too late".
"From now on, any attack against Iran's interests and security will receive a faster, heavier and more painful response," he said in a speech published on his Telegram channel.

RTX Corporation (NYSE:RTX) is increasingly benefiting from surging demand for missiles, air-defense systems, and other military equipment as geopolitical tensions rise and governments expand defense spending. The stock is already up about 9% year-to-date, as investors increasingly price in the company's growing defense backlog and stronger long-term demand.
On September 1, the U.S. Department of War awarded RTX Corporation (NYSE:RTX)'s Raytheon business a $42.48 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for technical and engineering services supporting Navy air-traffic systems. DUBAI, Sept 5 (Reuters) - U.S. and Iranian forces fired at vessels in waters around Iran on Saturday, including three Iranian oil carriers struck by the Americans and three tankers that Iran said it targeted while on unauthorized ‌routes in the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. Central Command said it struck the three Iranian vessels, including one off the ‌coast of Kharg Island, near Iran's oil export hub, after Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at two U.S. Navy ships.
"Let the message to the IRGC be clear: If you shoot at two of our ships, we will impose an even higher economic cost — taking out three of yours," said Admiral Brad Cooper, head of U.S. Central Command, which oversees the U.S. military in the Middle East.
The IRGC responded by threatening intensified strikes against U.S. military vessels in the region, and said later it targeted the three tankers as well as three U.S.-linked vessels in other areas.
"Do not be deceived ‌by the 'terrorist' U.S. military and refrain from any suspicious movement aimed at passing through unauthorized waterways," the IRGC Navy said in a statement carried on Iranian state TV. "Otherwise, you will be targeted."

USA Rare Earth (NASDAQ: USAR) is quickly becoming one of America's most strategically important mining companies, at least if the economy, technology, and national security count for anything.
Why all the attention? Two words: rare earths. Indeed, rare-earth metals, as their name suggests, are a class of elements that are tough to find in economically useful deposits. They are essential to everything from smartphones and electric vehicles (EVs) to fighter jets and guided missiles, and China controls most of the world's capacity to process them.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
USA Rare Earth is one of only a handful of American companies that control a rare-earth deposit on American soil. Its goal is to extract rare-earth elements from a deposit in Texas, process and separate them domestically, and turn them into permanent magnets for American companies out of its factory in Oklahoma.
For some time, this has been at the heart of USA Rare Earth's growth thesis; none of it is new. What is new, however, is its pending acquisition of Serra Verde, which could turn USA Rare Earth from a would-be miner with an uncertain start date into the owner of an operating rare-earth mine. That deal will likely close before its next earnings report -- expected in early November -- and could set the stage for a huge rally.

CAIRO (AP) — The U.S. military on Saturday said it struck three Iranian oil tankers after Navy warships were targeted with missiles, warning that it would "if necessary, destroy Iran's limited and exposed oil fleet."
The strikes — a day after President Donald Trump sought to minimize the conflict as "small potatoes" — keep up a new tilt back toward fighting after six months of on-again, off-again war that began with U.S. and Israeli attacks on Feb. 28. Both sides have sought to inflict both military and economic pain, and negotiations have collapsed.
The military's statement said a U.S. aircraft carrier and a destroyer evaded "multiple unprovoked Iranian attacks" while patrolling in the region and no U.S. personnel were hurt. It said two Iranian oil carriers were "permanently disabled" and the third, unladen one, was destroyed.
The U.S. statement said the tankers were part of a shadow network helping to fund Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard and its armed proxies in the region.
Earlier, Iranian state TV had said four U.S. missiles struck a tanker about six miles (10 kilometers) from Kharg Island, home to a terminal through which the country exports most of its oil. Kharg Island been repeatedly targeted during the war, including U.S. strikes on military sites there in March.

Diamond Hill Capital, a First Eagle Investment Management company, issued its Q2 2026 investor letter for its "Small Cap Strategy". The letter can be downloaded here. The strategy returned 24.01% in the second quarter, outperforming the Russell 2000 Index's 21.49% return. Performance was positively affected by stock selection in health care and industrials, while the Fund's underweight position in information technology was the largest relative detractor as AI-related companies drove market gains. Small-cap equities benefited from strong earnings, resilient economic conditions, and easing geopolitical concerns, with technology leading sector performance while energy declined alongside lower oil prices. Despite the market's focus on AI, the Fund's strongest contributors came from businesses outside the theme, particularly in health care, defense-oriented companies, and tangible-asset industries. Looking ahead, the Fund remains focused on resilient, underfollowed companies tied to infrastructure, defense modernization, and essential industries where disciplined capital allocation and long-term demand can support value creation. Also, check the fund's top five holdings to see its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Diamond Hill Capital Small Cap Strategy highlighted Ducommun Incorporated (NYSE:DCO) as a leading contributor. On August 26, HEICO Corporation (NYSE:HEI) delivered a third quarter that management itself struggled to summarize without repeating the word record. Net income jumped 33% to $235.4 million, net sales climbed 23% to $1.4 billion, and the company generated $345.3 million in cash from operations, a figure equal to nearly 150% of net income. For a business that has now compounded earnings for close to four decades, the bigger question is not whether HEICO can grow, but how long it can keep growing this fast.
The headline number is 14% organic growth across the company, but the more telling detail is where that growth showed up. The Electronic Technologies Group posted an all-time quarterly record, with net sales up 36% to $483.5 million and operating income up 55% to $125.6 million, as its operating margin expanded from 22.8% to 26%. The Flight Support Group grew net sales 18% to $947.8 million while its operating income rose 24%, outpacing revenue growth as the segment shifted toward higher-value products rather than volume alone. Co-CEO Victor Mendelson said some missile defense customers have asked for production increases as high as tenfold on specific programs, while industrial technology tied to AI and data center buildouts is now feeding demand inside the electronics segment too.
Management also pointed to the integration of Wencor, with Eric Mendelson calling the combination "an absolute home run for HEICO as well as for Wencor." On the balance sheet, HEICO issued $1.2 billion in senior unsecured notes to pay down its revolver and extended that facility's maturity to June 2031, with room to grow capacity to $3 billion. Net debt to EBITDA improved to 1.57 times. The company also raised its semiannual dividend 8% to $0.13 per share, its 96th consecutive payout since 1979, and closed acquisitions of Cook Defence Systems and CalRamic Technologies during the quarter.
The same demand surge fueling HEICO's growth is straining its supply chain from the other direction. Victor Mendelson warned that lead times for certain raw materials and subcomponents are stretching out and getting more expensive, driven in part by competing demand from the AI and data center markets. Eric Mendelson pointed to a narrower but familiar bottleneck in component repair, noting that a job with 99 parts finished still cannot ship while the company waits on the hundredth. Neither issue derailed this quarter's results, but both suggest the growth machine runs on inputs HEICO does not fully control.

Ukrainian Kate Koval says she left Louisiana State University's basketball program because of the team's decision to sign a Russian player.
Following the arrival of Anna Minaeva, it was announced that 20-year-old Koval had departed for "personal reasons" after one season.
Koval said Russia's ongoing invasion of Ukraine was why she stepped away.
"My father serves in the Ukrainian military and takes tremendous pride in defending his country against Russian aggression," she wrote on Instagram.
"For me, this war is not distant or abstract. People close to me have been killed and wounded in Russian attacks, and places where I grew up and first began playing basketball have been destroyed by missile strikes.

Champaign, Ill — Four seconds remaining in the first half, and 54 yards away from the UAB goal line. That was the position Katin Houser was in, up only one point, on the Blazers – however, magic was about to happen.
Houser, with all the time in the world, stepped up in the pocket and fired a missile that was tipped into the hands of Ty Robinson for a touchdown, as the clock read triple zeros.
The play put Illinois (1-0) up eight heading into the half and ultimately led to their victory over the visiting UAB Blazers (0-1) by a score of 42-23.
It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for Illinois, though. UAB gave the Illini a serious run for their money – literally. The Blazers' run game was on point in Thursday's contest, with Braylon McReynolds and Roderic Robinson II combining for 114 of the team's 194 rushing yards.
UAB also dominated the time of possession, controlling the ball for 41:03 compared to the Illini's 18:57.

Artisan Partners, an investment management company, released its second-quarter 2026 investor commentary for the "Artisan Global Opportunities Strategy". The letter can be downloaded here. Global equities rebounded sharply during the quarter, with the MSCI ACWI Index returning 15.3% as resilient economic growth, strong corporate earnings, and continued enthusiasm around artificial intelligence supported markets despite persistent inflation, higher bond yields, and geopolitical uncertainty. Strong stock selection in technology and energy partially offset these headwinds. The fund continues to see attractive long-term opportunities across AI infrastructure, health care and consumer internet, while remaining disciplined on valuation as several AI-related stocks have appreciated sharply. Management remains focused on durable franchises with identifiable profit cycles and attractive long-term earnings potential. LONDON, Sep 2 (Reuters) - The United States launched a new wave of attacks on Iran late on Tuesday six months into a deadlocked conflict, prompting Iranian missile fire at what it called U.S. ****** ets in Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait ‌and Iraq.
Here are other ways Iran might retaliate if the conflict continues to escalate or a U.S. campaign to choke ‌off Iran's economy intensifies.
IRAN COULD EXPAND ATTACKS ON GULF STATES
Iran has repeatedly struck at its neighbours in response to U.S. attacks and threatened to retaliate against any who take part in U.S. efforts to strangle the country's economy with "earthquake" force.
It has targeted Gulf states and Jordan repeatedly since the war began on February 28, mostly focusing on U.S. bases but also hitting energy infrastructure and other targets.
