Japan's imperial family just returned to Tokyo after a few days at the Nasu Imperial Villa, one of the historic royal residences and a regular summer retreat. Princess Diana got pregnant less than four months after her 1981 wedding to then-Prince Charles — and quickly became torn between her royal duty and debilitating morning sickness.
"With [Prince] William it was appalling, almost every time I stood up I was sick," she told Andrew Morton for his book, Diana: Her True Story — In Her Own Words, adding that she was "made to feel it was a nuisance" when she got sick during formal events, but felt obligated to attend anyway.
"There was only ever one cancellation when I was carrying William, the visit to the Duchy of Cornwall's estate," she continued, according to the book, which was released in 2017. "And I was made to feel so guilty by my husband for that."
The pressure came to a head in early 1982 while they were staying at Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, England. I'm going riding now,'" Diana recounted. "So I threw myself down the stairs. The Queen comes out, absolutely horrified, shaking – she was so frightened."
"I knew I wasn't going to lose the baby; quite bruised around the stomach," she added. And according to The Telegraph, the royal gynecologist, Sir George Pinker, was summoned to her side and found that the baby was uninjured.

Prince Harry reportedly wants his and wife Meghan Markle's children to spend more time with their grandfather, King Charles III, following their recent reunion.
The Spare author, 41, and the 44 year-old With Love, Meghan host's kids, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, traveled to the U.K. earlier this month and reunited with the sovereign, 77.

NB: Though it's not fashion protocol, there is also a rule that states children aren't allowed in the royal box on centre court. The exception? The royal offspring, naturally, back during the 2025 final, that meant that Prince George and Princess Charlotte sat alongside their parents, Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales. Folks immediately noticed something interesting about Charlotte's look, though: her nail polish, which didn't seem to carry on one specific royal tradition.

According to a report by Woman's Day, Prince William is ready to meet Prince Harry, but only on a strict condition. Sources suggest that the Prince of Wales wants a legal contract before he meets his brother.
Prince William and Harry have been on bad terms for a long time. On his recent trip to the UK, Harry had a chance to meet with King Charles during a private meeting that involved his wife, Meghan Markle, and their kids, Archie and Lilibet. This was the first time in four years that the King met with his grandchildren.
While referring to William's potential plans to meet with Harry, a source told the outlet, "Harry might have charmed his way with his father, but it's going to take a lot more than a few feeble gestures to convince William to give him another chance." They stated that William and his wife, the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, still feel the "hurt and humiliation" from the public attacks Harry and Markle have made on the monarchy. The relationship between the two brothers was hit hard following Harry and Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey and the former's memoir.
A source further stated, "William says a legally binding contract is the only language the Sussexes will understand." His reported proposed contract states that Harry and Markle would not make any public attacks on the Royal Family. It also conveys that the couple must adhere to boundaries when using their Royal ******* les for their brands. William allegedly wants Harry and Markle to stop mentioning the members of the Royal Family in public.
