The 2026 wide receiver draft class wasn't filled with transcendent players, but that's not going to stop us from grabbing some high upside rookies this year. In dynasty, I want my rookie running backs to get on the field quickly and show that they can be fantasy relevant sooner than later. With receivers, I'm willing to take a longer look but I still don't want them to be buried on the depth chart going into their rookie season.
I like this group of receivers. It's been fun watching them throughout training camp and preseason. And during that time, we've seen a few shine and raise their profile. Below, I'll go through some of the receivers making a move toward playing time this season and hopefully secure a spot on your fake teams for years to come.
The Ravens need help at receiver behind Zay Flowers, which pushed them to draft Lane in the third round and Elijah Sarrat in the fourth. So far, Lane has showed well in camp. He gets compared to Michael Thomas, with his sure hands and big frame. Rashod Bateman is the current WR2, but off field issues and just an inability to consistently put up numbers has that No. 2 job up for grabs.
Kansas City needs help at wide receiver. Rashee Rice is good, but he's not a strong WR1. Add in his off-field issues and injury concerns, and there is room for another receiver to rise in the depth chart. Allen could be that guy or an approximation of that guy. He's played well in preseason and has gotten plenty of praise from beat writers. I'm willing to take him ahead of his ADP due to his opportunity and offensive environment in KC.
The Dolphins are in full tank mode, but they'll still play football games and the players want to win. They lack any veteran wide receivers worth a darn, so their rookies, Bell and Douglas have plenty of room to win playing time. Douglas has been consistent this summer, already winning a starting job come Week 1. Bell is coming off a knee injury, but has finally returned to practice and shed his no-contact jersey. I like this group of receivers. It's been fun watching them throughout training camp and preseason. And during that time, we've seen a few shine and raise their profile. Below, I'll go through some of the receivers making a move toward playing time this season and hopefully secure a spot on your fake teams for years to come.
The Ravens need help at receiver behind Zay Flowers, which pushed them to draft Lane in the third round and Elijah Sarrat in the fourth. So far, Lane has showed well in camp. He gets compared to Michael Thomas, with his sure hands and big frame. Rashod Bateman is the current WR2, but off field issues and just an inability to consistently put up numbers has that No. 2 job up for grabs.
Kansas City needs help at wide receiver. Rashee Rice is good, but he's not a strong WR1. Add in his off-field issues and injury concerns, and there is room for another receiver to rise in the depth chart. Allen could be that guy or an approximation of that guy. He's played well in preseason and has gotten plenty of praise from beat writers. I'm willing to take him ahead of his ADP due to his opportunity and offensive environment in KC.
The Dolphins are in full tank mode, but they'll still play football games and the players want to win. They lack any veteran wide receivers worth a darn, so their rookies, Bell and Douglas have plenty of room to win playing time. Douglas has been consistent this summer, already winning a starting job come Week 1. Bell is coming off a knee injury, but has finally returned to practice and shed his no-contact jersey. Both receivers could win starting jobs with Jalen Tolbert and Malik Washington as their main competition.

Pape Matar Sarr hasn't been seen in a Tottenham shirt since preseason and there are plenty of rumors that both he and the club are looking for an exit from N17. According to Sky Sports France's Sascha Tavolieri, the club making a late push for Sarr is none other than our good friends Nottingham Forest.
Previous rumors suggested that Sarr had preferred a move to Monaco, which as a French speaking Senegalese dude makes a ton of sense and would be a good move for him. Tavolieri writes that the Monaco interest is real, but unlikely to happen before the last week of the season and is contingent on Monaco offloading American striker Folarin Balogun first. But staying in the Premier League would have its advantages as well.
The whole kerfluffle over Morgan Gibbs-White last summer seemingly hasn't dimmed Tottenham's relationship with Forest THAT much if they're still considering a a deal. A loan plus an option isn't the best outcome for Tottenham, but it beats keeping Sarr around if he's not going to play that much, which feels like the case. Honestly, Forest wouldn't be a terrible club for Sarr to land at — he's likely going to get more playing time there and Oliver Glasner is a pretty good coach with good midfield ideas. No guarantee that Forest's mobster-boss owner Evangelos Marinakis wouldn't sack Glasner in a fit of rage after three consecutive losses, either.
Tavolieri writes that Spurs are asking €25m (£21.5m) for Sarr, which is what caused Galatasaray to back down after they offered €18m. That's well within the budgets of both Monaco and Forest (especially Forest). It could come down to where Sarr ultimately wants to go. But at this point it's looking very likely that he WILL go. Liverpool's transfer plans have been questioned this summer and fan Sam Milne believes the Reds have been too "scattergun" in their approach for a new forward player.

Chelsea and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement over Mamadou Sarr's (20) loan move to the Basque side, according to Foot Mercato. The Senegalese international centre-back's loan move includes no option to buy. Sarr joined Chelsea from BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg in a €14m deal in the 2025 summer transfer window. Sarr was then allowed to spend the following campaign on loan at Strasbourg, until Chelsea recalled him in February.
Sarr only featured seven times for the Blues. The former Olympique Lyonnais Academy graduate has been allowed to leave Xabi Alonso's Chelsea side this summer with the Blues recruiting Maxence Lacroix from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace FC. Looking down at the French football manager in the second half, he was rubbing his chin with his hand after making a couple of substitutions to try to rescue something from a game that started so brightly for Crystal Palace.
He's the new man in charge, but he has an old problem to solve. How to get his team to finish off the many chances they create. They were on top early on. Jean-Philippe Mateta, Eddie Nketiah and Daniel Munoz all had more than decent chances that could have easily found the net. But once Everton exerted control then the chances disappeared.
The second half saw Palace offer very little threat and Sage said "we gave up a little". They were missing the quality of their top scorer last season, Ismaila Sarr, who didn't travel amid the links with a move to Galatasaray. With the loss of Maxence Lacroix in defence, it could be a tricky debut season for Sage if more signings don't arrive before the deadline.

The Baltimore Ravens are about to kick off their second preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. Here are some last-minute predictions from Baltimore Beatdown's staff!
Offensively, I'd anticipate you see the Ravens continue feeding the rookie tight ends plenty. Hibner had the hot hand with plenty of targets last week, so Cuevas may draw more targets this week. Adam Randall seemed to heat up more as his game progressed as well, so look to see him more confident out of the backfield. Baltimore's defense didn't force a turnover against Philly, but I think that changes in this one. JJ McCarthy knows he's got a lot to prove for his NFL future as he settles into the backup role, and I think he gets over-aggressive and air mails one or two that the secondary takes away. I'll call my shot and say Keyon Martin stays hot and gets one.
Baltimore's O-line had a rough outing in joint practices against the pressure looks brought by Brian Flores and this Viking defense. Expect to see a bit of a regression from ***** nano and Reed as they feel the heat. The biggest thing to watch in this game is the offensive line. While there are some other positions battles such as the 5th edge players, cornerback depth spots, there are a ton of questions to answer on the line. The most obvious being the center battle. With Danny Pinter going down, is it Gwyn or Pocic who runs with the 1s? How much time does Gwyn, who's already looked great but is inexperienced, get versus Pocic, who need ramp up time? We also need to see improvement from Andrew Vorhees and Emery Jones Jr. after awful showings last week. Corey Bullock will get center reps with Pinter down but could absolutely steal a backup guard spot. Gerad Lichtenhan also looked better than both of those guys last week. – Zach Canter

Baltimore's O-line had a rough outing in joint practices against the pressure looks brought by Brian Flores and this Viking defense. Expect to see a bit of a regression from ***** nano and Reed as they feel the heat. I foresee an ugly, defensive game from both teams today. I predict another big day for the Ravens' secondary in particular, while I think Baltimore's offense will struggle against the relentless blitzing from Brian Flores. The biggest thing to watch in this game is the offensive line. While there are some other positions battles such as the 5th edge players, cornerback depth spots, there are a ton of questions to answer on the line. The most obvious being the center battle. With Danny Pinter going down, is it Gwyn or Pocic who runs with the 1s? How much time does Gwyn, who's already looked great but is inexperienced, get versus Pocic, who need ramp up time? We also need to see improvement from Andrew Vorhees and Emery Jones Jr. after awful showings last week. Corey Bullock will get center reps with Pinter down but could absolutely steal a backup guard spot. Gerad Lichtenhan also looked better than both of those guys last week. – Zach Canter

After a disappointing end to the previous season with a seven-game winless streak, David Moyes will be looking for a fast start against an opponent who are bedding in a new manager and several new players in preparation for a European campaign. The Blues are hampered with injuries to three midfielders (James Garner is a doubt, with Christian Nørgaard and Tim Iroegbunam out).
Crystal Palace have a new manager in Pierre Sage, having led RC Lens to a Coupe de France trophy and a second-placed finish in Ligue 1, getting subsequently named the Manager of the Year in France. They too have a number of new signings, and with transfer rumours circling around star midfielder Adam Wharton, it will be interesting to see if the Eagles have him in the lineup. Goalkeeper Dean Henderson will undergo a late fitness test after picking up a knock in their final preseason friendly.

Atalanta have surprisingly confirmed Eljif Elmas' return to Serie A as the ex-Napoli man joins La Dea on loan with an option to buy from RB Leipzig.
