Chelsea and Real Sociedad have reached an agreement over Mamadou Sarr's (20) loan move to the Basque side, according to Foot Mercato. The Senegalese international centre-back's loan move includes no option to buy. Sarr joined Chelsea from BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg in a €14m deal in the 2025 summer transfer window. Sarr was then allowed to spend the following campaign on loan at Strasbourg, until Chelsea recalled him in February.
Sarr only featured seven times for the Blues. The former Olympique Lyonnais Academy graduate has been allowed to leave Xabi Alonso's Chelsea side this summer with the Blues recruiting Maxence Lacroix from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace FC. Foot Mercato understands that Alonso, a former Real Sociedad midfielder, has proved instrumental in convincing Sarr to join the Basque side.

Mikel Arteta says that some of his **** nal squad "need to face that reality" that their futures lie elsewhere, but expects Myles Lewis-Skelly to stay at the club.

Having confirmed the signing of Rodri from Manchester City, FC Barcelona are expected to soon announce the transfer of Joao Cancelo as well.
The final couple of weeks in the transfer window will see them fully focus on signing a new number-nine, while also try to offload some of the players who are not in Hansi Flick's plans.

Aguerd is set to return to the Basque club on an initial loan deal which will include an option to buy. Negotiations accelerated rapidly on Friday evening after Real Sociedad moved to bring back the Morocco international, who previously spent the 2024/25 campaign on loan in San Sebastián.
The 30-year-old is understood to have quickly given his approval to the move, attracted by the prospect of returning to familiar surroundings and playing Europa League football under Pellegrino Matarazzo.
Aguerd only joined Marseille permanently last summer in a deal worth around €23m but has become one of the players OM are prepared to sacrifice as they look to reduce their wage bill and raise funds during the transfer window.

Goals proved decisive as Kerry's quest for back-to-back All-Ireland SFC ***** les remains on course with a 2-18 to 0-20 victory over Dublin in Sunday's semi-final.
In scorching heat at Croke Park, Jack O'Connor's men did enough to get past a stern Dublin, who will reflect on a day where they were close to upsetting the odds, but 12 wides and two goal chances of their own passed up cost them.
It was the first championship meeting between the old rivals since Dublin won the 2023 All- Ireland final and while Ger Brennan's men have enjoyed a relatively productive campaign with wins over Donegal and Galway, the Kingdom remained a step ahead.

Barcelona midfielder Gavi is not expecting his club to sign Mikel Oyarzabal this summer from Real Sociedad as he expects the striker to remain with the Basque side.
There’s been talk that Oyarzabal could be on Barcelona’s radar this summer if Julian Alvarez can’t be tempted to Camp Nou, but Gavi doesn’t see such a transfer happening.
“I know Oyarzabal wants to be a Real Sociedad legend and I think he will stay there forever,” he told Catalunya Radio.
Oyarzabal has also made it clear he’s happy at La Real when asked about his future at the World Cup.
“In football you never know what can happen, just like in life. But I’ve always said that San Sebastián is my home, I feel as if I’ve lived there all my life and I couldn’t ask for more,” he told Carrusel Deportivo.

A 2023 NBA second-rounder will continue his college career with another team. Center James Nnaji will transfer from the Baylor Bears to the George Mason Patriots, according to Jonathan Givony of Draft Express. Nnaji has three seasons of eligibility remaining
Nnaji's inclusion in college basketball is controversial. The 21-year-old center from Makurdi, Nigeria was drafted No. 31 by the Detroit Pistons in the 2023 NBA Draft. His rights have been traded twice; first to the Charlotte Hornets and then to the New York Knicks in the Karl-Anthony Towns deal.
However, he never played college basketball before his draft selection. He played three seasons with FC Barcelona before his selection, and he bounced around in multiple leagues (Basquet Girona, Merkezefendi) from 2024-25.
Nnaji is still eligible to play in college basketball because he never played in an NBA game, never enrolled in a college, and was within five years of what would've been his high school graduation. As a result, he committed to the Baylor Bears in 2025.

Dublin staged a stirring second-half comeback to beat Galway 1-25 to 1-21 in a Croke Park thriller and reach the All-Ireland semi-finals.
Con O'Callaghan hit 1-6 for the Dubs, including a second-half penalty after Liam Silke was black-carded for a foul on Colm Basquel which swung momentum in the closing stages.
Galway appeared on course for victory after John Maher's goal 15 minutes from time put them 1-20 to 0-17 in front.
But Ger Brennan's Dublin - who outlasted Donegal in extra-time last week to reach the last eight - ate into the deficit and finished with a flourish to return to the last four for the first time since 2023.
Dublin will now face defending All-Ireland champions Kerry on the weekend of 11-12 July for a spot in this year's final, while Louth will play Mayo in the other semi-final.
