The Manchester City squad is "buying into the idea" of new manager Enzo Maresca, says new captain Ruben Dias.
City spent a Premier League record £458m during the recent transfer window, with incomings including midfield trio Enzo Fernandez, Elliot Anderson and Ayyoub Bouaddi.

Roma claimed a 1-1 draw away from home, going ahead via Bryan Cristante before Archie Brown equalised for the hosts.
So, what were the numbers that stood out from the game?
As in the number of Champions League debutants Roma had on the pitch, including three in their starting lineup. Of course, everyone except Cristante, a veteran of the 2018-19 season, was playing in the Champions League for Roma for the first time. But Gianluca Mancini, Manu Koné and Wesley were newcomers to the competition altogether. So were substitutes Niccolò Pisilli and Rodrigo Mora, who were aged 14 and 11 respectively when Roma last played a Champions League fixture.

Vanity Fair reported that Knowles is fronting the creative relaunch of St. John, the American luxury house founded in California in the 1960s, in what amounts to her first-ever solo fashion campaign.

The businesswoman, designer and mother of both Beyoncé and Solange Knowles made her luxury fashion campaign debut in American luxury heritage house St. John by Humberto Leon Fall 2026 capsule collection, released Sept. 10. The collection is now available at stjohnsknits.com
The collection serves as the inaugural campaign by Leon the brand's newly appointed creative director. He is the co-founder of the fashion brand Opening Ceremony and former co-creative director of Kenzo.
"St. John is a brand that exemplifies American luxury, and its unique perspective shaped the way I looked at fashion. I was always drawn to the mother-daughter bond at its core, and its iconic marketing which paired Marie Gray's dedication to knitwear with her daughter Kelly's edge. At this stage, it would be a major surprise if Allan wasn't at least on the bench for the opening fixture of Manchester City's 2026-27 UEFA Champions League campaign.
There would seem to be little chance that Allan would start tonight against FC Porto. He hasn't been at Manchester City for long and the Brazilian winger also wasn't fit enough to make the bench against Coventry City. Stranger things have happened but it would be unlikely that Allan will start tonight.
However, there is a chance that Allan could come off the bench tonight. Perhaps being an impact substitute may be the best way for Maresca to introduce Allan to the fold. The Brazilian winger is a quick winger blessed with quality dribbling skills and the ability to work hard on both sides of the ball. Maybe that is how Allan will make his City debut and tonight may be the right setting for Allan to play a small role for Enzo Maresca's side depending on how tonight's match unfolds.
Allan was included in Manchester City's travelling sqaud for tonight's match against FC Porto. So there is a chance that one of the more intriguing signings that City have made could get on the pitch for the first time as a Manchester City player. Chelsea are working on an early deal to sign Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott in a bid to avoid competition for the midfielder next summer.
Bournemouth turned down a £64m offer from Chelsea during the summer transfer window and made clear that any further approaches would be rejected. The Cherries had hoped to tie Scott down to a new deal, but talks so far have failed to find an agreement.

Since those boxing bouts, Ferguson took a wrestling match for RAF, which he lost to Arman Tsarukyan by technical fall.
Biyong, 28, has dabbled in combat sports before, though this will be his first outing involving striking. In April, he competed at UFC BJJ 7 and was quickly submitted by Raphael Ferreira.

Chelsea's interest in Lamine Camara has not gone away, and his latest display for Monaco has only intensified the feeling that this is a story with plenty left to run. According to TeamTalk, scouts from Chelsea and Liverpool were among a number of Premier League clubs in Paris on Friday night as Monaco claimed an eye-catching win over Paris Saint-Germain, with Camara playing a central part.

Man City moved three points clear at the top of the Premier League after squeezing past Coventry 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium, although Enzo Maresca's side were made to work considerably harder than they might have expected.
Erling Haaland scored the decisive goal, his third of the season, while Elliot Anderson produced another commanding midfield display. Coventry remained within touching distance throughout and came close to stealing a point late on.
City had already received a warning before taking the lead, with Gianluigi Donnarumma required to intervene as Coventry threatened.
A late change had brought Enzo Fernandez into the starting XI after Nico O'Reilly suffered an injury during the warm up, and Fernandez quickly settled into proceedings.
