Coinbase Global (NASDAQ: $COIN) has filed for regulatory approval to list perpetual futures tied to individual large-cap U.S. stocks, opening the door to 24/7 leveraged trading of shares such as Apple, Microsoft, Tesla and Nvidia on a regulated U.S. platform.
The exchange plans to offer contracts linked to roughly 50 to 60 major stocks, with trading potentially starting later this year if regulators approve the products, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Perpetual futures, commonly known as perps, are derivatives that do not have an expiration date. Traders can keep positions open indefinitely, while leverage can magnify both gains and losses.

First Phosphate Corp. (CSE:PHOS, NASDAQ:PHOS, FRA:KD0, OTCQX:FRSPF) earlier this week highlighted Swiss government support for financing linked to its Bégin-Lamarche mine, as CEO John Passalacqua outlined the company's efforts to ***** emble a capital stack designed to limit shareholder dilution.
Proactive: Really big news out from the company today. It really jumps off the page: a guarantee of $212.5 million for CapEx for First Phosphate, coming from the Swiss government. Tell me a little bit about this, John.
John Passalacqua: Yeah, so this is the Swiss government that's guaranteeing up to 85% of exports from Switzerland that are aimed towards the mine at Bégin-Lamarche. So you've got a very nice debt-to-equity ratio there. 85% is almost unheard of in the industry. And it's obviously based on the credibility of the mine, based on the fact that we've been endorsed by the G7, based on the fact that we have other export credit agencies at the table.
EIFO from Denmark was there already, if you remember, for €170 million. So little by little, we're putting together the whole capital stack here for the project, which can be done quite non-dilutively.
And that's a key to this because they're looking at about 85% of the cost, and potentially more if that happens. But it does get to the point where your shareholders are very well protected here.

Sept 18 (Reuters) - US equity funds recorded outflows for a fourth consecutive week in the week to September ‌18, as rising crude oil prices heightened inflation ‌concerns and expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike added to investor caution ahead of its policy decision.
US equity funds recorded net redemptions of $31.44 billion during the week, largely matching the $32 billion withdrawn a week earlier, LSEG Lipper data showed.
Crude oil prices rose to ‌four-month highs during the week, fueling inflation concerns and lifting Treasury yields, which weighed on growth-oriented funds.
The Fed raised interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday and signaled that further tightening may be needed to curb inflation fueled by higher energy costs linked to the war in Iran.
Investors withdrew $28.71 billion, $1.73 billion ‌and $3.16 billion from US large-cap, mid-cap and multi-cap funds, respectively. In contrast, small-cap funds attracted $568 million in weekly inflows.

In technology, the loudest applause usually comes at the demo, not the delivery. A flashy prototype draws headlines. The unglamorous rollout that actually generates revenue often gets a shrug.
CoreWeave, Inc. (CRWV) just lived that gap. The AI cloud provider rents out Nvidia Corporation (NVDA) chips to companies building artificial intelligence systems.
On Wednesday, September 16, it said it had linked hundreds of Nvidia's newest Rubin GPUs into a single working cluster, not just a test rack, according to the announcement.
For investors, that business model makes CRWV one of the most direct public ways to bet on AI infrastructure demand, without owning a chipmaker outright.
Nvidia, by contrast, is best known as the company that designs the GPUs everyone in the AI race is trying to get their hands on.

Fenimore ***** et Management, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. U.S. equity markets saw broad gains in Q2, driven by strong corporate earnings, economic resilience, and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence (AI). Major indices reached all-time highs, though the energy sector declined. Continued earnings growth, especially among AI-related investments, supported the rally. Technology, particularly semiconductors, led performance as demand for AI infrastructure surged. Despite macroeconomic uncertainties and interest rate influences, Fenimore remains committed to investing in high-quality businesses. The Fenimore Small Cap Strategy returned 9.51% in the quarter, lagging the Russell 2000 Index's 21.49% gain. The underperformance was largely driven by avoiding lower-quality tech stocks linked to data center expansions. Additionally, reviewing the Fund's top five holdings could help identify its best picks for 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Fenimore ***** et Management highlighted Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN). Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) is a specialty insurance services company that provides distribution, underwriting, product development, administration, and risk management services. On September 17, 2026, Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) closed at $40.03 per share. The one-month return of Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) was -8.32%, and its shares lost 25.53% over the past 52 weeks. Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) has a market capitalization of $10.15 billion.
Fenimore ***** et Management stated the following regarding Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"We initiated a position in Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN), which we had previously owned after its initial public offering. The insurance industry has seen softness in rates. While RYAN's model differs from traditional retail brokerage, the company released results citing a volatile environment which led to a decrease in their earnings outlook for the year. We're encouraged by the business's long-term prospects and, in our opinion, its legendary leader Pat Ryan. He is also purchasing shares of RYAN's stock during this weakness."
Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) is not on our list of 40 Most Popular Stocks Among Hedge Funds Heading Into 2026. According to our database, 32 hedge fund portfolios held Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) at the end of the second quarter, compared to 35 in the previous quarter. While we acknowledge the potential of Ryan Specialty Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:RYAN) as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York filed a civil forfeiture complaint on Sep. 14 seeking approximately $61 million in cryptocurrency linked to black-market sales of Iranian crude oil.
According to the DOJ, the funds were allegedly meant to support the Iranian government and its military, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or IRGC. The U.S. government has designated the IRGC as a terrorist organization.
A civil forfeiture complaint is a legal action in which the government seeks to seize money or property it believes was involved in or resulted from criminal activity. It is not a criminal charge, the allegations are not proven until a court rules in the government's favor.

US stock futures moved higher on Wednesday as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's interest rate decision. Oil prices declined following an unexpected increase in US inventories, while developments involving Meta and OpenAI remained in focus.
At 07:12 GMT, Dow futures were up 129 points, or 0.3%. S&P 500 futures gained 21 points, or 0.3%, while Nasdaq 100 futures advanced 145 points, or 0.5%.
Wall Street's main indices had declined in the previous session as US government bond yields approached two-decade highs. Higher oil prices, linked to the widening conflict in the Middle East, contributed to concerns about inflation and further monetary policy tightening.
Analysts at Vital Knowledge described a feedback mechanism in which rising oil prices push bond yields higher, affect investor sentiment and increase pressure on central banks to raise interest rates.
Markets broadly anticipated a 25-basis-point interest rate increase at the conclusion of the Federal Open Market Committee's two-day meeting.

Crypto markets and related stocks moved lower Tuesday as investors braced for two major Washington catalysts: a Senate vote on the CLARITY Act and the Federal Reserve's interest-rate decision Wednesday.
Bitcoin was trading around $76,431, down 2.19% over 24 hours, while Ether fell 1.8% to roughly $2,449 and Solana dropped 1.02% to about $100. The total crypto market capitalization declined 1.2% to $2.61 trillion.
Derivatives traders were also caught in the selloff. Roughly $384 million in crypto positions were liquidated over 24 hours, including about $195 million in longs and $189 million in shorts, while nearly $160 million was wiped out over the previous 12 hours.
Crypto-linked stocks were hit harder.

Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) is increasing the expected cost of its fiscal 2026 restructuring plan by about $700 million to roughly $2.8 billion as it simultaneously ramps up spending to capture demand for AI cloud services. The additional costs include severance, contract terminations and other exit expenses, with some restructuring directly linked to adopting AI across parts of the organization.
Oracle had already recorded $1.8 billion of restructuring expenses in fiscal 2026, compared with $299 million in fiscal 2025, showing how materially the company is accelerating its operational transformation. The restructuring comes alongside an unusually large AI investment cycle. Oracle booked more than $30 billion of new AI cloud contracts in its latest quarter, lifting its remaining performance obligations/revenue backlog to $664 billion, while roughly half of that backlog is expected to convert into revenue over the next 36 months.
The strongest bull argument is that the additional restructuring expense is part of a broader shift toward a higher-growth cloud and AI business rather than simply a deterioration in cost control. Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL)'s restructuring program is explicitly aimed at improving efficiency while reallocating resources toward cloud-based offerings and second-generation cloud infrastructure. If the $2.8 billion restructuring program reduces lower-growth costs and enables Oracle to redirect personnel and capital toward AI infrastructure, the near-term earnings pressure could support stronger operating leverage later as cloud revenue scales.
More importantly, the restructuring is occurring against evidence that AI demand is already translating into contracted revenue. Oracle added more than $30 billion of AI cloud contracts in one quarter, pushing its backlog to $664 billion, above the $639.89 billion ******* yst estimate. Management said most of the newly contracted revenue would not require substantial incremental capital because customers are using prepayments or supplying their own hardware. That is particularly important because Oracle's biggest weakness has been the mismatch between rapid infrastructure investment and current cash generation. If customer-funded capacity continues to reduce Oracle's upfront capital burden, the company could convert its huge backlog into revenue without proportionally increasing its cash burn.
The early financial evidence also supports the possibility that the AI strategy is beginning to improve Oracle's growth profile. Revenue in the recent quarter rose 30% year over year to $19.3 billion, adjusted EPS reached $1.92 versus the $1.74 ******* yst consensus, and Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) raised its fiscal 2027 adjusted EPS forecast from $8.05 to $8.10. Meanwhile, first-quarter free cash flow of negative $5.4 billion was substantially better than both the expected negative $9.56 billion and the previous-quarter negative $11.48 billion. Anthropic is moving forward with plans for an initial public offering that could value the company at $2 trillion, with signs pointing to the listing remaining on track, according to Bloomberg. Nasdaq has been selected as the venue for the listing, and Nvidia is reportedly weighing a contribution of around $10 billion to the offering.
Bloomberg reports Anthropic's annualized revenue at $65 billion, with the company's margins underpinned by investor confidence in where AI capabilities are headed rather than by today's cash generation.
The IPO comes as Anthropic chief executive officer Dario Amodei has published an essay calling on AI companies to manage the pace of frontier model development. Amodei's essay calls on firms "must slow the pace" of capability improvements, yet frames the goal as "a balanced rate" of progress, with the ****** urance that "progress will still seem fast," Bloomberg notes. When CFO Krishna Rao shared the piece on LinkedIn, his commentary centered on the themes of "pacing" and "common standards."
Anthropic is preparing to tell IPO investors that its potential revenue opportunity exceeds $30 trillion, according to The Wall Street Journal. The company more than doubled its revenue to $11.6 billion in the second quarter and could seek to raise as much as $100 billion in its offering — both figures that would surpass what ****** eX achieved when it went public in June at a $1.77 trillion valuation.
Investors have projected that Anthropic's annualized revenue will reach between $100 billion and $120 billion before year's end, representing more than tenfold growth from the $47 billion annualized revenue the company reported in May, according to the Financial Times as cited in earlier reporting. Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan are leading the offering. The company filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission in June.

BAGHDAD (AP) — Two deadlines are looming for Iraq at the end of the month: the end of a decades-long U.S. military presence and the disarmament of non-state armed groups.
The U.S. withdrawal is underway, and officials say the hundreds of troops remaining in northern Iraq will be out by the Sept. 30 deadline.
The Iraqi government has linked the U.S. withdrawal to an ultimatum for militias to lay down their weapons. But most have indicated they have no plans to do so.
That leaves major questions about what the day after will look like in Iraq.
Iranian-backed Iraqi militias have struck U.S.-linked targets both inside and outside of Iraq since the U.S. and Israel attacked Iran on Feb. 28. They also have coordinated with Yemen's Houthi rebels to attack Saudi Arabia.

After holding Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) for more than 10 years, I wouldn't sell a single share, not even today. The company I bought back in 2016 has changed dramatically, but mostly in ways that strengthen the original reason I owned it. Microsoft has shifted from a PC-centric software business to one built on cloud, subscriptions, enterprise software, and artificial intelligence.
So the question now is whether those changes can support another decade of compounding, and whether the stock is still a buy at today's valuation.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
When I first bought Microsoft, the business was much smaller. In fiscal 2016, it generated $85.3 billion in revenue and $20.2 billion in operating income. By fiscal 2026, revenue had reached $331.8 billion and operating income $155.2 billion. Azure alone passed $100 billion in annual revenue.
The bigger change is where that growth came from. Microsoft expanded Microsoft 365, Azure, LinkedIn, Dynamics, GitHub, security, and other cloud products across largely the same enterprise customer base.

Duke basketball coach Jon Scheyer addressed the reports linking him to the NBA during the offseason.
The Blue Devils head coach was reportedly linked to Dallas Mavericks through the offseason as a potential replacement for Jason Kidd. The Mavericks ultimately hired former Michigan coach Dusty May.
Scheyer discussed the NBA interest on the Glue Guys Podcast on Monday, Sept. 14.
"If anybody that knows me, I wouldn't be able to live with myself not seeing this thing through, that's just the bottom line," Scheyer said. "I'm at a one-of-one place where (it's) not often you get your dream job when you're 33, and that's what happened to me."
Scheyer took over for Mike Krzyzewski in 2022 after spending nine seasons on his predecessor's staff. A former Duke national champion and two-time team captain, Scheyer is entering his fifth season as the program's head coach. He owns a 124-25 career record, the most wins by any Division I head coach in their first four seasons, and has led the Blue Devils to three ACC Tournament championships, three NCAA Elite Eight appearances and one Final Four.

After their late loss to Sassuolo last night, it is becoming increasingly difficult to see Juventus finishing inside the top four at the end of this season, according to pundit Roberto Pavanello.
The Bianconeri have been one of the top teams in the world for several decades and have done well to maintain that status, but since they last won the league ******* le in 2020, they have been far from achieving that feat again.
One thing Juventus have consistently managed to do is secure Champions League football, but last season they failed to achieve that. Many believed their failure was linked to the quality of their squad and the fact that Luciano Spalletti did not start the season as their manager.
He has now been given a new deal for another season and was their coach during pre-season, yet Juventus cannot beat Sassuolo in their fourth league game of the season.
It is certainly too early for the team to be struggling as much as it is at the moment, but their poor start has already created doubts about what they can achieve this season.

As noted in an ***** ociated Press report on Tuesday (Sept. 8), the driveway of the mansion has collapsed, leading to a swiftly remedied gas leak. The damage has been linked to Hurricane Marie, despite it never having made landfall.
As for the Cage connection, the Los Angeles Times, citing real estate records, says the actor is listed as the property's owner. Other reports point to prior coverage of its sale to Cage back in 2024 for more than $10 million.

Brandi Glanville's health battle sparked an unexpected Bravo reunion, with Housewives stepping up financially. Several former co-stars donated to her GoFundMe after years of unexplained medical problems.
The fundraiser aimed to cover treatment costs linked to multiple diagnoses affecting Glanville. She admitted asking for help felt humiliating, but her medical expenses had pushed her toward crowdfunding.
TMZ reported that Glanville's GoFundMe had raised about $7,000 toward its $28,000 goal. Kyle Richards contributed $500, while Claudia Jordan and longtime friend James Maas each donated $100. Camille Grammer, who starred alongside Glanville on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, gave $200. She also explained why she decided to contribute despite their complicated history.
"I remember when she sent me flowers when I had my hysterectomy for uterine cancer," Grammer told TMZ. "I wanted to return the favor, and I feel bad for what she's going through." The pair had clashed during Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip in Morocco. Grammer acknowledged they were not particularly close, yet she still wanted to help.
Gina Rodriguez, another longtime friend, created the fundraiser earlier that week. She said doctors had discovered a fungal ball in Glanville's face that required removal. Glanville later discussed the fundraiser through her Brandi Glanville Unfiltered podcast. She broke down while describing the financial pressure surrounding her treatment.

Oracle disclosed in a regulatory filing that it is expanding its planned job cuts by approximately $700 million, bringing the total estimated cost of its 2026 Restructuring Plan to roughly $2.8 billion as the company presses forward with a costly AI data center buildout.
The additional costs reflect "additional actions that we expect to take," the company said. The plan, approved during fiscal 2026, encompasses severance payments, contract termination fees, and related exit costs, with a portion of the reduction linked to how Oracle is deploying AI across parts of its business.
Through August 31, Oracle had recorded roughly $2.1 billion in charges against the plan. The expansion was disclosed after the close of the company's fiscal first quarter, which ended August 31.
The restructuring push is unfolding as Oracle absorbs a steep rise in capital spending. Cash used for capital expenditures climbed to $28.5 billion in the quarter ended August 31, up from $8.5 billion in the same period a year earlier, the company said, driven by expansion of its data centers. Oracle reported negative free cash flow of $5.4 billion for the quarter.
To fund its buildout, the company said it raised $19.9 billion by selling approximately 141 million shares of common stock through an at-the-market offering program during the quarter. Oracle has said it plans to raise approximately $40 billion through a combination of debt and equity in its current fiscal year.

After it was widely reported that the Spaniard had been made available for the right price, Premier League giants Manchester United were hotly tipped as a potential landing spot.
In the end, Balde stayed put, eager to fight for his place in the plans of long-time employers Barca. But as alluded to above, as of this moment, the 22-year-old has not managed to win back the trust of his manager.
As per a report from Diario Sport, following the breakout of youngster Xavi Espart, and permanent signing of João Cancelo:

Sophie Cunningham is at the center of new boyfriend rumors, and fans have plenty to say about the WNBA star's reported love life!
Speculation surrounding the Indiana Fever guard's relationship status has been making the rounds online, with social media users weighing in on who could have captured her attention.
Cunningham, who has been making headlines since joining the WNBA, went viral on social media on Friday, August 11, when some fan pages posted pictures of her on a boat during the current WNBA break with someone they claimed to be her new boyfriend.
According to an account, Cunningham's new man is Frank Adams, the head athletic trainer at Grand Canyon University, who also works with the school's men's basketball program. As per The Sunday Guardian, the two were previously linked in March when fans noticed Adams in Cunningham's social media updates and at GCU events. While neither one has confirmed the relationship, the alleged couple's sightings have continued to fuel dating rumors.
In March, Cunningham's social media followers spotted a mystery man in the background of one of her selfies. Although the image did not clearly show his face, some eagle-eyed fans began suggesting that the man could be Adams.
