Tegan Lecheler, founder and director of Mothers & Infant Cash Coalition, told Fox News Digital its support for cash ****** istance has been praised by the right.
Although guaranteed income programs have faced partisan pushback nationwide since gaining national traction in 2018, a growing faction of conservatives is finding common ground with direct cash initiatives centered on mothers and newborns.
According to Tegan Lecheler, national program director for the Mother and Infant Cash Coalition (MICC), the "common-sense" nature of early childhood cash transfers has prompted conservative lawmakers and advocates to reach out to her organization in support.
"I think we're in a really polarized time politically right now," Lecheler told Fox News Digital. "We are not a political organization and want to work to improve families' outcomes. We believe an effective strategy for doing that is to build a big tent – a wide tent with a lot of people underneath it."

"He won't go, he stays with us," Peixoto told the Express and Star.
Asked whether Traore was happy at Wolves, Peixoto suggested the midfielder was content with the situation.

HLN are reporting that Mario Stroeykens is set to leave Anderlecht and join Werder Bremen. Stroeykens, who was linked in the past to West Ham, has had a tumultuous career so far despite only being 21, with injuries having curtailed his progress. Clearly talented, Stroeykens now gets a chance to rebuild his career in a new environment and a new league in the Bundesliga.
Stroeykens made his Anderlecht debut back in the 2020/2021 season. He had a real breakout season during the 2022/2023 season with five goals in 41 games, before pushing on to get six goals and six **** ists the following season. Stroeykens looked set for a big move, with the likes of West Ham and others interested after five goals and six **** ists during the 2024/2025 season, but injuries limited him to just 30 appearances last season. New head coach Vitor Bruno has decided that Stroeykens is not part of his plans at Anderlecht and now the 21-year-old Congolese international is moving over to the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen.

Paris Saint-Germain have signed Belgium winger Mika Godts from Ajax.
The 21-year-old, who established himself as a regular starter for the Amsterdam club last season and scored 17 Eredivisie goals, has put pen to paper on a five-year contract with the European champions.
Godts told the PSG website late on Saturday: "I feel incredibly proud to be joining one of the best clubs in the world. I can't wait to pull on this shirt and experience the Parc des Princes and its supporters.
"I'll give my all on the pitch to repay the faith placed in me by President Nasser Al-Khelaifi, (football adviser) Luis Campos and coach Luis Enrique."
The forward, who started out at the Anderlecht academy before joining Jong Genk in 2022 and then Jong Ajax the following year, made his senior international debut in March, but was not selected in Belgium's World Cup squad.

Borussia Dortmund have wasted little time changing their transfer strategy after ending their pursuit of Köln's Said El Mala. With the deal for the winger off the table, BVB have turned their attention to Giannis Konstantelias - and the move is now progressing rapidly.
According to Transfermarkt and reports from Greece, the 23-year-old PAOK attacker is travelling to Dortmund to undergo his medical. Should everything go according to plan, Konstantelias is expected to sign a four-year contract with the Bundesliga club. The overall package is reportedly worth around €30 million, including potential bonus payments.
Dortmund's move for Konstantelias represents a significant change of direction. The club had spent weeks trying to sign El Mala from 1. FC Köln, but ultimately walked away after failing to reach an agreement over the guaranteed portion of the transfer fee. BVB's final offer was reportedly close to €50 million, while Köln continued to demand a higher guaranteed payment. Dortmund therefore decided against making another attempt and immediately began looking for alternatives.
Konstantelias appears to be a particularly attractive option because he fits several of the qualities Dortmund have been looking for. The Greek international is capable of playing on the wing as well as in attacking midfield, although he is most comfortable in a central role. His pace, dribbling ability and versatility make him a natural fit for Dortmund's attacking plans.
The youngster has also made an impressive start to the new season. Konstantelias scored three goals and provided an ******* ist in four Europa League qualifying matches for PAOK, although the Greek club were ultimately eliminated by Anderlecht in the third qualifying round.

College football is in the air, and we can taste it because of the parade of preseason college football awards watch lists that have been heaped upon us as of late. A program like Ohio State is always represented on these things, and that has certainly been the case this year.
The Buckeyes have had some great centers over the years and again have a good one in Carson Hinzman. The Wisconsin native started during his redshirt freshman season, moved to guard until asked to take over for the injured Seth McGlaughlin during the College Football Playoff run in 2024, and then was the unquestioned starter over the ball all of last season. He is expected to be one of the best centers during the 2026 campaign as well, and because of that, he was listed among the rest of the players appearing on the Rimington Trophy preseason watch list.
The Rimington has been around since the year 2000 and is handed out annually by the Rimington Trophy committee to the player considered to be the best center in college football. Ohio State has already seen four of its players take the award home during its rather short history, with the aforementioned McGlaughlin taking it home in 2024. Before that, LeCharles Bentley (2001), Pat Elflein (2016), and Billy Price (2017) were also honored. No other program has had more Rimington winners than the Buckeyes.
The winner of the Rimington Trophy will be announced along with a whole host of other college football awards during ESPN's Home Depot College Football Awards Show on December 11.

08.08.2026, Radom Mecz PKO Ekstraklasa sezon 2026/27 Radomiak Radom – Gornik Zabrze – Football Match Polish Top League Radomiak Radom – Gornik Zabrze Nz. Paulo Bernardo Fot. Michal Chwieduk/Arena Akcji/NEWSPIX.PL — newspix.pl
With game-time likely to be limited this season, the pair agreed that the former Benfica and Portugal under 21 captain would benefit from going out on loan to get game-time and perhaps rebuild his career after it stalling over the past season.
A move to Poland may have been a surprising choice for Bernardo but perhaps there's some clarity this morning from the Portuguese midfielder as he reveals the role his former Celtic teammate Luis Palma played in influencing his decision to join Gornik Zabrze.
Bernardo made his debut for the Polish side at the weekend against Radomiak Radom and by all accounts made an instant impact. And after the match Bernardo revealed that his close friend Luis Palma was instrumental in convincing him to accept the opportunity to join Gornik Zabrze.
Luis Palma of course ended his time as a Celtic player this summer after converting his loan period at Lech Poznan following a £3.5m transfer from the Scottish Champions. And the Honduran winger was more than happy to recommend a loan spell in Polish football to his former Celtic teammate.

Stade Brestois 29 have officially announced the signing of Joseph Nonge (21) from Turkish club Kocaelispor in a deal estimated to be worth around €600k.
The Belgian midfielder has signed a three-season contract with Les Pirates. An option for a one-year extension has also been included in the deal.
Having come through the youth ranks at RSC Anderlecht's academy, Nonge joined Juventus in 2021 to continue his development. On loan at ESTAC Troyes in 2024, the Jette-born player made six appearances there before being recalled by the Bianconeri and sent to Switzerland, where he spent the second half of the season with Servette FC (five appearances).
A free agent last summer, the Belgian Under-21 international (four caps) chose to move to the Turkish top flight, where he made no fewer than 25 appearances (29 matches and one goal in all competitions) during the 2025-26 season.

Celtic have been told to pay €9.5m to sign Farès Ghedjemis. The Algerian winger was name checked by Martin O'Neill last week as a potential summer arrival as he looks to strengthen his squad.
According to transfer journalist Sebastian Vidal, Celtic have been told to increase their offer for the winger by €2.5m.
Celtic are expected to return for Ghedjemis but Frosinone are sticking to their valuation of the player. In any case, Celtic are going to have to pay more than they've currently offered for the winger.
Celtic have added Camilo Duran and Kasper Høgh to bolster their attacking options with the frontmen replacing Daizen Maeda and Kelechi Iheanacho. It was clear after the win over Dundee that Celtic needed an injection of pace into the wide areas to freshen up the squad. Ghedjemis' performances in Serie B caught the attention of Celtic in January but no deal was forthcoming. Now, Celtic need to get deals over the line to make sure that they are in top form for the UCL doubleheader against LASK.

Celtic's potential Champions League play-off opponents became slightly clearer after the latest second qualifying round ties, including a stunning comeback win by Danish champions AGF Aarhus.
The Scottish champions already knew that Norwegian counterparts Viking Stavanger and Austria's LASK are potential opponents as both have automatically qualified for the play-off round and will be on the unseeded side of the draw.
However, three other potential opponents will be decided by matches with first legs on 4/5 August and second legs on 11 August.
AGF were 4-1 down from their first leg at home to Polish champions Lech Poznan but stunned their hosts by scoring three times in 90 minutes to take the tie into extra time on Wednesday.
Lech, for whom former Celtic winger Luis Palma played the first 68 minutes, scored first in extra-time, but the Danes equalised before winning the penalty shoot-out.

Celtic player Camilo Duran poses for pictures at Celtic Park, Glasgow on Thursday 23rd July 2026. Photo Andy Buchanan/Shutterstock
That game will be packed but today's friendly against a lightweight AC Milan side that will be missing multiple top performers, will not be well attended due to the Celtic support once again being frustrated and angry with the club for creating another summer of discontent through their inactivity in transfer market, so far only getting one deal over the line with the £5m signing of Camilo Duran from Qarabag.
That transfer fee has been more than covered by the sale of Luis Palma to Lech Poznan for £3.5m and Maik Nawrocki to RC Lens for £2m. And with Celtic CEO Michael Nicholson in discussions to sign four new players, it looks like the delay could be caused by an instruction to wait for sales of key players like Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels before proceeding with the purchases Martin O'Neill needs this week.
Maeda should compete his move to Ipswich Town today and that could result in Kasper Hogh from Bodo Glimt coming to Celtic early next week, fingers crossed anyway.
Meanwhile Celtic are haggling over a few hundred grand which is frustrating the move for German midfielder Mika Baur with SC Paderborn resisting the latest Celtic lowballing attempt for their player who has already agreed personal terms with the Scottish Champions and wants the move to happen.

HNB are reporting that Porto are showing interest in Anderlecht defender Ali Maamar. The 21-year-old right-back has been able to take advantage of injuries to other defenders at the back end of last season to showcase his talents and now, Porto are one side showing serious interest in him. However, Anderlecht have injuries in that position, and are unlikely to allow Maamar to leave without lining up a replacement.
Porto have not yet made a concrete offer for the young Moroccan international, but are certainly monitoring him. Mamaar made his Anderlecht debut during the 2024/2025 season, going on to play 20 games for the senior team, providing two **** ists. In a surprise development on the first day of the U.S. track and field championships, Kenneth Rooks, the three-time defending national champion and Olympic silver medalist, did not advance to the finals of the steeplechase at Icahn Stadium on Randall's Island in New York City.
Rooks finished 11th in his heat and 20th overall, with a time of 8:46.26.
Meanwhile, training partners James Corrigan and Dan Michalski both advanced to the finals. Michalski was fifth overall with a time of 8:24.89, and Corrigan, a 2024 Olympian, was 13th overall, at 8:32.20. Former Weber State athlete Peter Visser also failed to advance despite running a personal record of 8:35.09.

Carlee Hansen, who just completed her senior year at BYU and trains under BYU head coach Ed Eyestone, advanced to the finals of the 1,500-meter run by finishing sixth overall with a personal-record time of 4:04.54. Sadie Sargent, a former BYU athlete, failed to qualify.

Sport Bild reports that new Hoffenheim acquisition Nathan De Cat possesses an expensive release clause in his freshly signed contract. The 18-year-old talent already maintains an estimated €27m value in the latest Transfermarkt listings. In his new working papers – valid until 2031 – it is anticipated that the teenager’s market value will continue to rise exponentially.
Sport Bild claims that De Cat may potentially leave Hoffenheim one day via a €70m release clause. The former Anderlecht professional’s estimated market value stood at €7m less than a year ago. His rapid rise reflects both his development in Belgium and the considerable expectations attached to his Bundesliga move.
Should the young defensive midfielder perform well in Germany, interest from wealthier European clubs will inevitably follow. Hoffenheim have nevertheless protected themselves against losing another valuable prospect for a modest fee.
An expensive departure as early as next summer could therefore become a realistic possibility if De Cat adapts quickly and establishes himself as a regular starter.

Kenneth Rooks and Lexy Halladay, two former BYU athletes, will attempt to defend their national ******* les at this week’s USA national track and field championships in New York City.
Rooks, the 2024 Olympic silver medalist in the steeplechase, is seeking his fourth consecutive national ******* le. Halladay, another steeplechaser, will attempt to win her second championship.
The meet will run from July 23-26 at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island in New York City.

He had three consecutive forgettable races against international competition leading up to the 2025 U.S. championships and pulled it together to win another national ******* le. In three races against elite fields this year, it has been much the same — Rooks has finished sixth, 18th and seventh, respectively, and his best time is 8:28.54 — well short of the 8:06.41 he produced in the Olympic final.
Coach Ed Eyestone noted that Rooks “had been feeling off” in May and June, “but he had a great 2K time trial (in early July) … so I think he is rounding into shape at the right time.”

Rangers intend to contest a four-match touchline ban given to manager Derek McInnes for describing as "disgusting" the decision to award Celtic a late penalty at Motherwell in May.
The comments, made at the end of last season when McInnes was in charge of Hearts, related to a stoppage-time spot-kick for handball that was converted by Kelechi Iheanacho.
Celtic's 3-2 victory at Fir Park on 13 May kept them one point behind Hearts, who they beat to the **** le a few days later in a final-day decider.
Responding to the Scottish FA penalty, which is an immediate three-game ban with one suspended until the end of the season, Rangers say the remarks were "directed at the decision, rather than representing any broader criticism of officials".
Speaking to Sky Sports after a win against Falkirk at Tynecastle the same night, McInnes said: "When you heard Celtic got a 96th-minute penalty that was going to VAR and they were checking it, you just **** ume what's happened is they get the penalty.

After 17 goals and three ******* ists in 21 2. Bundesliga appearances in 2025/26, Magdeburg have extended the contract of strike sensation Mateusz Żukowski through to 2029.
What makes the Pole's goalscoring record last term even more impressive is that he started out as a right-back, earning one appearance for Scottish side Rangers, before representing Lech Poznań and Śląsk Wrocław before his move to Magdeburg in September 2025.
"Mateusz has undergone impressive development in recent months and has quickly become a key figure in our team," expressed Sporting Director Peer Jaekel. "After his injury, he fought his way back with great determination, demonstrating precisely the qualities we need in attack at Magdeburg: ******* ertiveness, finishing ability, and the willingness to take responsibility."
Attracting attention from European clubs, Żukowski is delighted with his new contract. "I'm incredibly happy to continue my journey at Magdeburg," he told the club's official website.
"The discussions with the management were crucial for me. It was important to know what direction the club wants to take in the future and what role I'm meant to play in it. TSG Hoffenheim pulled off a major coup when they announced the signing of 18-year-old Nathan De Cat from RSC Anderlecht for a reported €20 million fee earlier this month.
According to Sport Bild, numerous top clubs were interested in De Cat, including Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Chelsea, but the highly-rated midfielder opted to continue his development at Hoffenheim.
De Cat signed a long-term contract with the Bundesliga club until 2031, but whether he stays that long is highly doubtful – especially given that, according to Sport Bild, his contract includes a €70 million release clause that becomes active in the summer of 2027.
Despite only recently turning 18, De Cat made 53 appearances for Anderlecht’s first team. He also made his senior international debut for Belgium in March.

Where to watch Tour de France 2026: Full schedule, stages, times, TV channels, live streams, winners for cycling race originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The world's biggest cycling race is back, with the 113th edition of the Tour de France set to wind its way from the streets of Barcelona to the finish line on the Champs-Elysees over the course of three weeks.
While anything can happen across the 3,321 kilometers that await, the men who have combined to win the last six Tours will command the spotlight. Tadej Pogacar will try for his third consecutive yellow jersey and fifth overall, which would tie him for the most all-time. His primary opposition figures to come from Jonas Vingegaard, who won in 2022 and 2023 and is fresh off a triumph at the Giro d'Italia, where he became the eighth man to win all three of the sport's grand tours.
It would be a surprise if the general classification battle doesn't come down to those two, but there will be plenty of other storylines to follow. First on that list is the Tour debut of Paul Seixas, the 19-year-old Frenchman who has taken the sport by storm this year with wins at the Tour of the Basque Country and La Fleche Wallonne and second-place finishes behind Pogacar at the Strade Bianche and Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
American riders will also play a prominent role, with Sepp Kuss and Matteo Jorgenson serving as key escorts for Vingegaard and threats to take a stage themselves, and three-time U.S. road race champion Quinn Simmons also a potential stage winner.
