Eintracht Frankfurt attacker Jean-Mattéo Bahoya is set to join Leeds United after the Premier League side moved decisively for the 21-year-old on deadline day. Sky Germany, Sport Bild and The Athletic all report that Leeds entered concrete negotiations with Frankfurt on Tuesday. Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano subsequently reports that an agreement has been reached on a loan deal containing a mandatory €30m purchase clause.
The development comes just two days after another proposed move to England collapsed. Get German Football News reported on Sunday that Bahoya had personally rejected a transfer to Hull City despite Frankfurt and the newly-promoted Premier League side having already reached a verbal agreement at club level.

Former Aston Villa and France winger Moussa Diaby has rejoined Bayer Leverkusen from Saudi side Al-Ittihad on a deal until 2031, the German club announced on Tuesday.
German tabloid Bild said Leverkusen paid 27 million euros ($31 million) to Al-Ittihad to bring Diaby, 27, back to the BayArena.

BERLIN, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Finland's President Alexander Stubb said he did not believe Russia would risk an attack against a NATO country, telling Germany's ‌Bild newspaper it would "make no sense" to test the resolve of the alliance.
Western ‌officials have warned of a growing risk of Russian hybrid operations, including cyber attacks, against European countries potentially leading to a direct confrontation with the NATO alliance. German officials have said they ******* s Russia would be in a position to attack a NATO country by 2029.

Three years after leaving Bayer Leverkusen, Moussa Diaby is set to return to the BayArena.
According to Kicker and Bild, a breakthrough has been reached in negotiations between Leverkusen and Diaby's current club, Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad.
Kicker reports that the transfer fee will be just under €30 million, while Bild puts the figure at €28 million.
If everything goes according to plan, the 27-year-old's return to Leverkusen will be completed within the coming days.

Cologne and Eintracht Frankfurt have reportedly reached an agreement over the transfer of Ellyes Skhiri back to his old Bundesliga club, dramatically reviving a return that appeared to have been abandoned only weeks ago. Sport Bild reports the two Bundesliga clubs have settled the terms of a deal for the 31-year-old midfielder. The remaining obstacle is Skhiri's salary demand. Sporting director Rouven Schröder has now provided an update on the situation surrounding the trio, with signs that developments could be forthcoming.
Scally appears to be the most valuable of the three in terms of potential transfer income. According to Bild, the American could command a fee of around €7 million, while his contract is due to expire next summer.
"Something could definitely still happen there – his profile attracts attention," Schröder is quoted as saying by the tabloid.
There has been speculation surrounding Scally's future for some time, and Gladbach will be keen to avoid losing the 23-year-old for nothing next summer given the club's reliance on transfer revenue.

"The more minutes and matches I play, the better I feel. Getting on the ball again brings me joy. But it's also true that my responsibilities for the team have increased. I take more responsibility for our attacking play and contribute more defensively as well. Winning the ball back can be fun as well."

Aston Villa have been linked with Bayern Munich midfielder Joao Palhinha.
Palhinha is expected to leave Bayern this summer after spending last season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur.
Villa sporting director Damian Vidagany has confirmed that the club are in talks with Bayern over Palhinha.
"We need a player for midfield because Amadou Onana is out for the entire season – and Joao Palhinha is a very good player who would fit our plans," he told Bild.
"We are in talks, but there is currently no agreement. If something should happen, it will always be on the basis of the great respect we have for FC Bayern.
