Every major AI chip story seems to lead back to Arm Holdings (ARM) as the industry's biggest players rely on the company's architecture to build their processors. As ARM gears up for its fiscal Q1 earnings on July 29, investors are eager to see if the company can continue to translate strong demand into sustained growth needed to justify its premium valuation.
Valued at $277.7 billion, Arm Holdings develops the processor technology that powers billions of chips globally, licenses that technology to semiconductor firms, and gets royalties on each chip shipped. The company earns money through licensing revenue and royalty revenue. While historically, Arm's business was dominated by smartphones, today its processors power PCs and laptops, cloud servers, AI data centers, automotive chips, smart TVs, IoT devices, and much more. Thanks to AI, the company now has new growth opportunities in Cloud AI, Edge AI, and Physical AI.

San Francisco Giants outfielder Harrison Bader was involved in a weekend scooter accident that aggravated his left foot injury, the team announced July 28.
Bader played for the Cincinnati Reds for part of the 2023 season. He has played for seven teams over 10 MLB seasons.
Bader hasn't played since May 29 because of left plantar fasciitis.
The Giants said Bader met with a foot and ankle specialist July 27 in Indianapolis, but it "was complicated by the fact that he had a scooter accident on Saturday night/early Sunday morning and further injured his same foot."

Realty Income (O) has paid 670 consecutive monthly dividends at a 4.76% yield, and EPR Properties (EPR) yields 5.91% with shares up 29% this year.
All five monthly payers yield above the 4.55% 10-year Treasury, carry covered payouts, and raised their distributions within the past 12 months.
Act now: the ******* yst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Realty Income didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
For retirees who prefer their paychecks to arrive every 30 days instead of every 90, a small corner of the market delivers just that. With the 10-year Treasury yielding 4.55% as of mid-July, income investors are demanding a real premium from equity risk. The five monthly dividend payers below all clear that bar, and each combines a well-covered payout with a documented multi-year track record of monthly checks. This is a lineup built for cash flow that shows up like clockwork.
Realty Income wears the ticker "O" and the nickname "The Monthly Dividend Company" for a reason. Realty Income (NYSE:O) currently yields 4.76%, backed by a monthly cadence that has now stretched to 670 consecutive monthly dividends declared and 114 consecutive quarterly increases. The most recent monthly payout ticked up to $0.271, with the next payment set for August 14, 2026.

Micron (MU) stock has multiple strong positive and negative catalysts at this point, making its performance difficult to predict. On the positive side, the memory-chip maker should continue to benefit significantly in the near-to-medium term from the AI boom, and Bank of America recently ******* erted that MU should be boosted by the release of low-cost, open-source AI models made in China. If you own Teradyne (TER) stock, or you're thinking about buying it, the last week of July could be critical. Teradyne, the company behind the machines that test AI chips, memory, and networking gear, is about to show investors whether its blistering growth pace from earlier this year can continue. And based on what management has said in recent weeks, there's a lot riding on the answer.
Teradyne has quietly become one of the more interesting AI plays on Wall Street, given it manufactures the equipment that proves AI chips work before they are shipped to data centers. As AI hardware gets more complex, that job is getting bigger and more expensive for customers to skip.

Caeleb Dressel is back.
The nine-time Olympic gold medalist went out first and held off a stacked field to win the men's 100 freestyle in 47.70 on night one of U.S. Nationals. This marks his fastest swim since the 2024 Olympic Trials in a statement effort that the former Olympic champion in this event is trending toward his old form. It capped a big day for Dressel, who had already served notice with a sub-48 prelims swim earlier in the day.
Four men broke 48 seconds in the final, a level of depth that can energize fans of Team USA. Brooks Curry took second in 47.81, Patrick Sammon was third in 47.87, and Virginia's Maximus Williamson, fresh off his impressive freshman year, grabbed to fourth in 47.93. Perhaps most notably, American Record holder Jack Alexy was seventh, a sign he's saving his best for the Pan Pacific Championships in August. Jerry Fox, Grant House and Henry McFadden rounded out the field.
The other headline swim of the night came in the women's 100 freestyle, where Virginia's Anna Moesch broke her own American Record in 51.88.
full recap below, along with a photo-finish women's 200 fly and a wire-to-wire win from World Champion Luca Urlando in the men's 200 fly.

OS ANGELES — Justin Herbert already has one major victory before the 2026 NFL season even begins.
The Los Angeles Chargers franchise quarterback announced Tuesday that he is engaged to singer-songwriter Madison Beer, sharing the news in a joint Instagram post that simply read, "Meet my fiancé."
The announcement immediately became one of the biggest off-the-field stories of the NFL offseason, drawing more than 800,000 likes within the first hour and prompting congratulatory messages from fans, teammates and even the NFL's official Instagram account.
The engagement marks the latest chapter in one of sports and entertainment's most high-profile relationships.
Herbert and Beer first sparked dating speculation in August 2025 after they were spotted together on the set of Beer's music video. Their relationship became increasingly public throughout last football season, with Beer regularly attending Chargers games at SoFi Stadium.

Serie A sides Milan and Roma have an increasingly heated market axis and the latest transfer between them could involve Matias Soule.
This week, the Giallorossi stepped forward for Christopher Nkunku. It was expected the two clubs could open discussions for other players, with the Rossoneri having rejected Roma's approach for the Frenchman.
But PianetaMilan note that it is Milan who have stepped forward for a Giallorossi player in Soule.
They have spoken to his entourage about a possible deal and their interest can grow in the next few weeks. Ruben Amorim is a fan of the Argentine's profile, as he seeks players who have a reliable 1v1 ability and can play in attack.
A move though would depend on Rafael Leao's Milan exit. If he leaves for the required fee of €50 million, they could use that to sign Soule. But for now, the Portuguese staying at Milan is holding up the Rossoneri's entire transfer window and they don't want to wait until August to seal incomings.

Well this is a peculiar first move for trade deadline season. Jake Rogers, the longest tenured Detroit Tigers player, has been designated for ***** ignment. Eduardo Valencia was recalled on Sunday and will be taking over the backup catcher duties. Rogers' roster spot will go to Javier Báez, who returns from a three-month absence after suffering a high ankle sprain at the end of April.
The 31-year-old Rogers made his major league debut with the Tigers back on July 30, 2019 after coming to the Tigers in the trade that sent Justin Verlander to the Houston Astros in August of 2017. He finally became the Tigers primary catcher in 2021 before tearing his UCL and requiring reconstruction surgery that cost him all of the 2022 season. In 2023 and 2024 Rogers put together good seasons based around his defensive ability, plate discipline, and the occasional burst of home run power. He was worth 4.7 fWAR across those two years, but since that point his offensive contributions collapsed as Dillon Dingler took over the everyday catching role. This season, Rogers' defense finally showed real signs of cracking as well. He's hitting .161/.266/.301 for a 60 wRC+ which ranks him 48th out of 59 catchers with 100 plate appearances or more this season.
Despite his struggles, two part-time White Sox catchers, and numerous others, are even worse offensive players than Rogers. It won't be a surprise if he gets claimed, but it's too bad no one would flip a lottery ticket prospect to acquire him. The problem is that Rogers defensive numbers have declined this year and he's finally grading out a little below average as a defender. Whether that's partly the result of lack of playing time is hard to say, but hopefully he'll be claimed somewhere. If he clears waivers and is outrighted the Tigers will still be on the hook for the rest of his $3.05M salary for 2026.
Valencia is far and away a better hitter than Rogers, so that should provide a little support to the offense. On the other hand, Valencia isn't that good behind the plate, particularly in terms of holding opponents' running game in check. Still with Rogers defensive numbers in decline, perhaps Valencia won't do worse.
Getting Báez back could be pretty helpful to the Tigers although it's just funny to look at Báez as a way to trim strikeouts in the lineup by taking over some of the workload from James Outman. It will be interesting to see how he's deployed. With Kerry Carpenter out with a foot injury, the outfield needs help. It needed help anyway. We'll see if Báez is back to full speed and can get back to playing a solid enough center field. If he's back to 100 percent, that also gives the Tigers options, with Báez getting some time at shortstop and around the infield to get another right-handed bat into the lineup. Either way, it's good to have Javy Báez back, and hopefully further support for the outfield isn't too far away as Max Clark will be available to be called up without spoiling his 2027 rookie eligibi

MUMBAI: Ryan ten Doeschate has stepped down as India's men's ***** istant coach, bringing an end to his two-year stint with the national team, while Subhadeep Ghosh will be India's new fielding coach after T Dilip's contract came to an end and was not renewed, TOI has learnt.

Ten Doeschate and Dilip's final ***** ignment was India's white-ball tour of England. Both will, thus, not travel with Team India for their two-Test tour of Sri Lanka in August, while it will be the first international ***** ignment for Subhadeep, who has been the fielding coach of India A teams in the past.

During India's England tour, Ten Doeschate informed the BCCI of his decision to leave, despite being offered an extension until 2027 by the board. Although the BCCI was keen to retain him, the former Netherlands all-rounder declined the offer, citing personal reasons. With a young family, Ten Doeschate opted to step away from the demands of international cricket and its relentless travel schedule.

Meanwhile, fielding coach T Dilip is parting ways with the national team following the completion of his tenure. He will not travel with the squad for the upcoming Test tour of Sri Lanka.

Ten Doeschate joined the Indian coaching setup in July 2024 after former India opener Gautam Gambhir succeeded Rahul Dravid as the head coach following India's T20 World Cup triumph. Having worked closely with Gambhir during their successful stint at Kolkata Knight Riders, the former Netherlands all-rounder was brought into the national setup by Gambhir alongside bowling coach Morne Morkel.

During Ten Doeschate's stint, India won the Champions Trophy and the Asia Cup in 2025 and successfully defended the 2026 T20 World Cup, although the Test side endured a difficult period, losing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia before suffering series defeats against New Zealand (3-0) and South Africa (2-0) at home.

Crypto exchange BitMart said Sunday it will wind down its trading platform after nine years, sending its BMX token crashing and marking the second major crypto exchange to announce its closure in a week.
The exchange stopped taking new registrations, deposits, and orders from 01:30 UTC on Sunday. All spot and derivatives trading ends August 26, and the platform formally shuts on January 31, 2027.
The platform added that it "remains committed to managing this wind-down process in a responsible, orderly, and transparent manner." Withdrawals remain open, though BitMart warned that identity, device, sanctions, and source-of-funds checks could slow processing as users rush to exit.
BitMart blamed its "operating conditions, market environment, and future strategic direction," without saying which forced the decision. BMX, its exchange token, has crashed 81% over the past week to $0.057, cutting its market value to $19.6 million, according to CoinGecko data.
The platform lost $196 million to a hot-wallet breach in December 2021, one of the larger exchange hacks of that cycle, and covered customer losses.

Boston Celtics big man Neemias Queta will be suiting up for his Portuguese National Team in FIBA World Cup play this summer in the qualifier window games set to go down in Europe, according to new reporting from Eurohoops Dot Net contributor Stefan Acevski.
Per the Eurohoops Dot Net reporter, Portugal finished their slate of games in the initial phase of the qualifier games with an overall record of 3-3, and is now waiting for the start of the second round of FIBA World Cup qualifying play. In the first segment of that play, they will take on the Spanish National Team on August 28 and play host to the Georgian National Team this August 31.
"The roster of 16 players for these matches has now been announced, with the standout name being Neemias Queta, who recently extended his contract," adds Acevski.
Coming off a season that saw the Lisbon native have the best regular season of his NBA career to date, only to stumble in postseason play, more high-leverage action for Queta ahead of Boston's looming 2026-27 regular season can only help his development.

Ireland have announced a 14-member squad for the first three ODIs of their five-match series against Afghanistan, beginning on August 5, with several first-choice players unavailable due to injuries. The selectors have opted to announce the squad only for the opening three matches, with the remaining two ODIs to be finalised after ****** sing the fitness of injured players.

One of the biggest talking points is the inclusion of Jai Moondra, who made his T20I debut against India earlier this month and impressed during Ireland's historic T20I series triumph over the reigning world champions. EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) — Justin Herbert has his first ring, and it's not on the football field.
The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Madison Beer jointly announced their engagement in an Instagram post Tuesday. It was accompanied by a photo of Herbert on bended knee holding a ring box in front of a smiling Beer, who was crouched with her right hand on his left knee. The caption read, "Meet my fiancé."
The congratulatory responses included ones from the NFL and the Chargers, as well as singer Gracie Abrams.
The couple was first spotted together last August. Beer attended some Chargers games last season, and she and Herbert kissed on the sidelines at one game. They've also turned up at Los Angeles Dodgers and Lakers games.
Herbert appeared in Beer's "lovergirl" video this spring.

On Tuesday morning, the couple posted a joint instagram announcement with all the types of photos you'd come to expect from one of the happiest moments of their lives.

The Red Sox made an initial strike on the trade market this weekend when they made the 1-for-1 deal that sent lefty starter Connelly Early to the Nationals for breakout star Curtis Mead. It appears they aren't done, either. Here's what we're hearing on Boston's plans ahead of the trade deadline, which is Monday (August 3) at 6 p.m. ET.
º The Red Sox are keeping an open mind ahead of Monday, but according to major league officials, they're targeting three main needs. First, the club — like every contender this time of year — is interested in adding pitching depth, not just at the back end of the rotation but also in the bullpen. Secondly, catching upgrades remain on the table. Lastly — and perhaps most surprisingly — the club is in the shortstop market.
The addition of Mead at second base hasn't stopped Breslow from continuing to look for an infield bat and one rival evaluator said the belief is that the Red Sox are looking for a "long-term" option at shortstop. The market is rich with big-name candidates who may or may not move, including the Angels' Zach Neto, Houston's Jeremy Peña, the Mets' Francisco Lindor and Washington's C.J. Abrams. Considering the potential pending lockout — and a very poor position player class in free agency this winter — Boston may be looking at this deadline as an opportunity to settle that position.
That search comes with its complications. Landing a shortstop would signal the Red Sox waving the white flag on Trevor Story, whose Red Sox tenure has been defined by injuries but also a massive amount of respect for the leadership he brings. Adding Mead and a shortstop makes the pathway to regular at-bats much less clear for Marcelo Mayer moving forward. And perhaps most strikingly, it further clogs the pipes ahead of the arrival of top prospect Franklin Arias, who was just promoted to Triple-A.
"Not sure why (they're in that market) with Arias coming," said one rival scout.
