Coca-Cola said the beverage giant and its bottlers will invest $10 billion in U.S. infrastructure by 2030 to meet growing demand for its offerings.
The system-wide investments include a mix of new and previously announced projects that will expand production, distribution and office facilities, according to a Tuesday press release.
This includes a bottling distribution facility in Rancho Cucamonga, California; a bottling plant in Colorado Springs, Colorado; a manufacturing plant in Indianapolis; a Coca-Cola United campus in Birmingham, Alabama; a Fairlife plant in Coopersville, Michigan; and a distribution center in Orlando.
Other investments are planned for St. Cloud, Minnesota, and at a Fairlife plant in Webster, New York. Additional investments will be made during the next four years, a Coca-Cola spokesperson said in an email.

If you are looking for yield today, rising interest rates have increased your options. For example, the 30-year Treasury bond's yield is around 5.3% as of this writing. By comparison, the S&P 500 index (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) is only yielding around 1%. But there are still two big reasons why investors may want to buy a high-yield dividend stock like Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO), even though its 2.4% yield isn't even close to the 30-year Treasury yield.
A bond is an agreement between the lender and the borrower. The lender provides a fixed amount of cash, while the borrower pays interest at a fixed rate until the loan matures. When the loan matures, the borrower repays the bond's principal. Everything is fixed, and both the value of the interest collected and the bond's principal are slowly eroded by inflation. It doesn't matter that 30-year Treasuries are considered safe because they are backed by the U.S. government. The big inflation risk is still the same.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
If you have a short investment time horizon, inflation may not be a big issue for you. In which case, the 5.3% yield of a 30-year Treasury would probably be more attractive than Coca-Cola's 2.4% yield. However, if you have a long time horizon, Coca-Cola's yield comes with something that a Treasury doesn't: Growth.
Coca-Cola is one of the world's largest consumer staples companies. It has an incredible history of growth, highlighted by 64 annual dividend increases. That makes the company a Dividend King. But think about that for a second, you can collect 30 years of the same income from a bond or 30 years of increasing income from Coca-Cola. Since the start of 1996, roughly 30 years ago, the company's dividend has increased by nearly 750%. That dividend growth was driven by the company's growth, which also led to an over 300% increase in the stock price. If you hold a bond to maturity, all you get back is the principal.

Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) is one of the best-known companies in the world, thanks to its namesake beverage brand, so it needs little introduction. However, what's most impressive right now is the stock's performance. It is up 28% over the past year, as of this writing. The average consumer staples stock is only up 5% over that span. Even the S&P 500 index (SNPINDEX: ^GSPC) is "only" up 20%. After a run like that, is Coca-Cola a buy, hold, or sell?
Coca-Cola is a well-run business. It is one of the world's largest consumer staples companies. It is globally diversified and has industry-leading capabilities in distribution, marketing, and innovation. The company's fundamental strength is evident in its status as a Dividend King, with 64 consecutive annual dividend increases. The only consumer staples peer with a better record is Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG), but P&G doesn't make food. So, Coca-Cola is the food company with the best dividend record.
Continue »
If you want to own industry-leading businesses, Coca-Cola should be on your short list. And, with an above-market yield of 2.4%, you could easily justify adding it to your portfolio. That's particularly true given recent results, with organic revenue growth of 6% in the second quarter of 2026, even as consumers tighten their belts. In fact, Coca-Cola raised its full-year guidance despite the broader food industry's struggles.
Certainly, if you have owned Coca-Cola for years, selling it right when it is performing so well as a business probably isn't something you should be considering. Unless, of course, the stock's valuation was running ahead of its historical norms. But that's not the case.

Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) has long been one of the most closely watched consumer stocks. Coca-Cola's flagship beverage anchors the stock, and its success is arguably the biggest factor in supporting the 64 consecutive years of dividend increases.
Moreover, under Warren Buffett's leadership at the time, Berkshire Hathaway has owned the stock for decades, holding 9.3% of Coca-Cola's outstanding shares.

Nonetheless, investors should think twice about paying $88 per share for it. For one, that takes its P/E ratio to 27, well above archrival PepsiCo at an 18 earnings multiple.
Additionally, PepsiCo's dividend yields almost 4.2%, well above the near 2.4% cash return investors now earn from Coca-Cola. Still, both stocks retain Dividend King status by virtue of more than half a century of annual payout hikes. Also, Coca-Cola investors should also not ignore the dividend, as it is typically the primary source of returns.

A bitter legal fight between Aaliyah's uncle and her cousin has produced a stunning accusation: Barry Hankerson is blaming his own son Jomo for the 2001 plane crash that killed the R&B star.
The claim surfaces in lawsuit documents obtained by TMZ, which show Barry alleges Jomo was hired and compensated to coordinate travel for Aaliyah's "Rock the Boat" video shoot in the Bahamas. Barry contends Jomo "failed in his responsibility" to carry out that role, and states the crash "may have been avoided had [Jomo] followed through on his compensated task of travel coordination."
Barry also says his relationship with his son was never the same after Aaliyah's death.
Aaliyah died on August 25, 2001, when a small aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Marsh Harbour in the Abaco Islands, killing all nine people aboard. Investigators found the plane was overloaded, and pilot Luis Morales III had falsified FAA credentials, had traces of cocaine and alcohol in his system, and was not certified to fly the designated aircraft.

Nick Kyrgios is eligible to return to tennis after accepting a one-month ban for testing positive for cocaine.
The Australian, 31, was provisionally suspended on 4 August after a sample he submitted during the Mallorca Open in June was found to contain benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine.
Kyrgios told investigators from the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) that he used cocaine at a nightclub in Magaluf in the early hours of 20 June.
He played his first-round match at the Mallorca tournament two days later, losing in straight sets to compatriot Adam Walton.
The ITIA accepted he used cocaine outside of competition after consulting with an independent expert.

Coca-Cola (NYSE: KO) has raised its dividend for 64 consecutive years and yields about 2.4% at a share price near $90. I think it belongs in most income portfolios, though not for the reason most people ******* ume.
In February, Coca-Cola raised its quarterly payout from $0.51 per share to $0.53, bringing the annual dividend to $2.12 per share from $2.04. That was a 3.9% increase and the 64th straight year of growth, a streak that has survived recessions, inflation spikes, and repeated shifts in what people drink. This streak puts Coca-Cola on the elite list of Dividend Kings, companies that have grown their dividends for at least 50 consecutive years.

Here is the honest part: A 2.4% yield doesn't sound like income for life. Five-year average dividend growth runs near 4.5%, and the payout ratio sits at 63.7%. The dividend alone will not drive strong near-term returns. What makes the case is what sits behind the payment.
Second-quarter net revenue rose 7% to $13.38 billion. Comparable earnings per share (EPS) grew 11% to $0.97 against a $0.93 estimate, and reported EPS jumped 16% to $1.03. Global unit case volume increased 5%, with every single reporting segment posting volume growth.

NEW YORK (AP) — Stefanos Tsitsipas was not surprised that Nick Kyrgios was suspended from tennis for drugs.
"Pretty much expected, to be honest," Tsitsipas said. "I am surprised it came so late, though."
Kyrgios was banned earlier this month after he revealed he tested positive for cocaine in June when he was in Spain to play at an event. The Australian could be suspended for four years, though a lighter punishment is expected.
Tsitsipas was asked about Kyrgios on Monday after upsetting No. 10-seeded Arthur Fils in the first round of the U.S. Open.
"I mean, to be entirely honest with you, I knew about this before the announcement. Myself, I knew about it," Tsitsipas said.

Advertisements will be going up this season at Michigan Stadium. Google Gemini, Meijer, and Coca-Cola will be featured on Michigan's padded end zone walls, as well as on the jumbotron.
For the first time, Michigan is adding limited ads around its stadium, beginning this season.
Coca-Cola, Meijer and Google's AI chatbot, Gemini, are the initial partners. pic.twitter.com/sxqi6tXbBt
Earlier this week, we asked fans if they loved or hated ads going up inside Michigan Stadium. The results are in, and fans aren't liking the changes.
75% of fans hate that there are now advertisements in Michigan Stadium, while 25% love them.
The immediate hate is understandable from a fanbase so rich in tradition. Ads are new to Michigan Stadium, and there's a natural dislike of change. However, new revenue streams are needed with the current nature of college football and all the money it takes via NIL to field a competitive team.

I know deep down in my core that I can be the guy that will bring that Pemberton pride back, and bring that stability back, to that basketball program. I cannot be more excited."
Derry has ******* istant coaching experience under two familiar Burlington County coaches, Heck and, most recently, Derry served as an ******* istant at Rancocas Valley under coach Jay Flanagan.
"I can't be more appreciative of the guys that have shaped me to be the person I am," Derry said. " I started my high school basketball career under coach Barry Harper. We want to teach the kids that they can be the best version of themselves."

Coca-Cola (KO) has spent nearly a century tying itself to Christmas.
Its decades of Santa advertising, starting in the 1930s, helped popularize and cement the jolly, red-suited Santa Claus most people picture today.
That connection sells a lot of soda every December.
Now the beverage giant wants a second holiday to call its own, and it is handing the job to Fanta.
The plan runs deeper than a seasonal ad. Fanta is building its own cast of Halloween characters and rolling them out worldwide.

Since succeeding Warren Buffett as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE: BRKA) (NYSE: BRKB) last January, Greg Abel has made some major changes to Berkshire's stock portfolio. In the two quarters since taking the helm of the Oracle of Omaha's holding company, Abel has both increased stock holdings and jettisoned many positions, including a few held for many decades.
However, Abel hasn't materially decreased Berkshire's positions in Apple, American Express, Alphabet, Bank of America, and Coca-Cola. During Q2 2026, Berkshire trimmed its BofA stake by 5.9%, while increasing its Alphabet position by 45.2%.

These five blue chip stocks now account for around 60% of its investments in U.S.-listed equities. Yet while this indeed represents high concentration, is that in itself a major risk? Not necessarily.
It's unfair to call Berkshire Hathaway's stock portfolio concentrated under Greg Abel's watch. After all, it was Warren Buffett's penchant for long-term, high-conviction investments that led to such high concentration in the first place.

It has been a good start to the CEO reign of Coca-Cola's (KO) Henrique Braun, a company lifer who took over the corner office in March.
Shares of the beverage giant are trading at a record high, up 32% year to date alone. What's more, Coca-Cola shares — often thought of as a boring investment because, hey, they sell soda and juice — have outperformed every member of the "Magnificent Seven" tech complex this year, per Yahoo Finance AlphaSpace data.
While ******* e's stock has bubbled up, Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta (META) is down by 15%, and Elon Musk's Tesla (TSLA) is off by 22% (the latter being the worst-performing Magnificent Seven member in 2026).
Score one for the expense-watching middle managers at ******* e — a completely different approach than the likes of Meta (aggressively building massive AI data centers) and Tesla (aggressively building robots and robotaxis).
The investment thesis at ******* e has been a classic case of an old-school consumer-products business being reinvented, with a heavy dose of cost cuts and safe-haven appeal in an uncertain world.

Dolly Parton's voluminous hair and rhinestone-festooned outfits were so essential to her fame that her quips about her appearance have become almost as well-known as her lyrics.
"It costs a lot of money to look this cheap" is perhaps her most memorable quotation, and is typical of the self-depreciating wit she employed to talk about her appearance.
She wrote about her style in her songs, too, from her 1967 hit Dumb Blonde to 2008's Backwoods Barbie, though in reality there was nothing cheap, or dumb, about her image. With huge blond status wigs – Tennessee by way of the court of Versailles – a fondness for glitter and high heels and tightly cut clothes that showed off her exaggerated proportions, she made herself as recognizable as Coca-Cola while employing and subverting the tropes of femininity and of country music.
Parton never failed to poke fun at her own appearance. Her hair was a "fire hazard", she would say, or "I'm not a fashion icon; I'm an eyesore" – but her look was highly deliberate. Never once did she waver from the aesthetic she described to Allure in 2020 as "gaudy, flamboyant, fun, comfortable – for me – noticeable".
Parton grew up in poverty, in rural Sevier county, Tennessee, one of 12 children. One of her most moving songs – Coat of Many Colors – recalled that experience through her memory of the clothing her mother made for her from scraps.

Warren Buffett doesn't just own and love Coca-Cola stock. It's widely reported that Coca-Cola (and Cherry ****** e) is his favorite beverage as well.
Coca-Cola (KO), one of Buffett's and Berkshire Hathaway's (BRKB) top equity portfolio holdings, hit a new high on Monday, trading within a buy zone.
Shares of Coca-Cola popped 0.95% to 91.97 in Monday's stock market action. Coca-Cola stock made a 52-week high above 92 intraday after an earnings gap-up in late July.
The Dow Jones beverage giant has been trading tightly since that move. In fact, the weekly MarketSurge chart for KO stock shows a three-weeks-tight pattern, with a 90.92 buy point. Coca-Cola stock cleared that entry on Friday. It rose in the 5% chase zone, which goes to 95.47, on Monday.
Visa (V) led advancing stocks on the Dow Jones Industrial Average on Monday, while Nvidia (NVDA) trailed amid a wider sell-off for chip stocks.

The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's full autopsy report on late Memphis Grizzlies veteran forward and former Phoenix Desert Vista standout Brandon Clarke was released Monday, Aug. 24. Clarke had cocaine, heroin, oxycodone, and multiple other medications "within therapeutic levels," per the report obtained by USA Today Sports.
Clarke's roommate told officials that Clarke had a "history of drug use" and underwent multiple rehabilitation stints for drug addiction, according to the report's synopsis.
Clarke died at his San Fernando Valley residence on May 11. He was 29 years old. The cause of death was an accidental overdose from the "effects of heroin and cocaine" in Clarke's system, which matched the medical examiner's initial statement about Clarke on Aug. 7.
Los Angeles Fire Department officials listed in the incident's early reports that he was found unresponsive and declared dead at the scene.
Drug paraphernalia was found at Clarke's home, according to the synopsis report. That included "vape devices, cannabis products, prescription medications, injectable peptides, syringes, a box of Narcan, blister packets of medications, vitamins and other medical evidence." Also, there was a plate with an "unknown white powdery substance and a hotel keycard" found in the kitchen.

American States Water (NYSE: AWR) rather quietly raised its dividend by 8.2% last month. This pay ***** p extended its dividend growth streak to an impressive 72 straight years. That kept its name at the top of the Dividend Kings list as it remains one of fewer than 60 companies with 50 or more years of annual dividend increases. The sleepy water utility has now paid 361 consecutive quarterly dividends.
Here's why more investors should be talking about this boring utility stock.
Continue »
American States Water doesn't have the name recognition of other Dividend Kings, like Coca-Cola or Johnson & Johnson, because it's not an iconic consumer brand. Instead, it's easily confused with another water utility, American Water Works, which is the largest regulated water and wastewater utility in the country with over 14 million customers across 14 states.
American States Water, on the other hand, has 1 million customers in 10 states. It operates two utilities, Golden State Water Company and Bear Valley Electric Services, which provide regulated water and electricity services to customers in California. It also owns American States Utility Services, which operates and maintains water distribution, wastewater collection, and treatment facilities at 12 military bases under long-term contracts. Those boring businesses generate very stable cash flow.

The second-quarter 13F from Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRKA)(NYSE:BRKB) reached the SEC on Aug. 14, and it shows what CEO Greg Abel did with the conglomerate's $299 billion U.S. stock portfolio during his second full quarter running the company. Much of the portfolio sat still: Apple, American Express, and Coca-Cola -- three of the four biggest positions -- didn't move by a share. And the filing's largest addition, about $17 billion of Alphabet, extended a purchase Alphabet had already disclosed back in June.
The new information sat in two smaller lines. Berkshire cut its Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) stake by about 30.2 million shares, a reduction of 5.9% worth about $1.7 billion at quarter-end prices. That was the largest dollar amount Berkshire subtracted from any position.

And it added about 17.5 million shares of Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), growing that stake 44% to 57.3 million shares, worth about $5.4 billion at the end of June.
A bank out, an airline in. What makes the pairing worth a closer look is the history on each side of it.

Daniel Suárez will have one of NASCAR's most recognizable brands riding with him when the Cup Series regular season reaches its conclusion at Daytona International Speedway.
Coca-Cola and Spire Motorsports announced that the beverage giant will serve as the primary sponsor of Suárez's No. 7 Chevrolet for the ****** e Zero Sugar 400 on Aug. 29.
The one-race primary sponsorship puts a new spotlight on a relationship that stretches back a decade. Suárez joined the Coca-Cola Racing Family in 2016, but the Daytona partnership will bring the brand onto his Spire Motorsports Chevrolet for one of the biggest races remaining on NASCAR's 2026 calendar.
And the timing is particularly fitting.
Suárez will make his 18th career Cup Series start at Daytona when he returns for the regular-season finale.

Fever's Caitlin Clark ripped Tempo arena amid Kelsey Mitchell's exit: 'A million degrees in here' originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Both Caitlin Clark and Stephanie White remarked on Fever star Kelsey Mitchell's early exit from Indiana's 101-95 win over the Toronto Tempo on Tuesday night.
Mitchell departed after the third quarter with a game-high 29 points. White said the All-Star guard "just got overheated" inside Coca-Cola Coliseum, where the Fever had never played before Tuesday.
Clark though went directly for the Tempo's arena staff, and she criticized the temperature inside the arena.

One of the WNBA's new expansion franchises, the Toronto Tempo, played host to the Indiana Fever for the first time in franchise history on Tuesday. Due to the massive draw that is Indiana Fever superstar Caitlin Clark, the game was moved from Toronto's normal arena of Coca-Coal Coliseum at Exhibition Place, to the larger-capacity Scotiabank Arena, where the Toronto Raptors play.
Heading into the game, The Toronto Sun's Matt Simmons wrote about just how big a draw Clark is.
"There has never been a professional athlete in North American team sports who has changed her league and the business of her sport the way Clark has in three WNBA seasons," Simmons wrote.
Simmons also wrote about Clark's impact on television ratings.
"Of the 10 most-watched WNBA games played this season, all 10 include Clark and the Fever. She's almost her own league, even as her fellow players tend to ignore her, rough her up, or denigrate her play."

Warren Buffett spent 60 years building one of the greatest investing records in history, not by chasing whatever was popular, but by finding businesses he never wanted to sell.
He said it himself in his 1988 shareholder letter, the year he first bought Coca-Cola: "Our favorite holding period is forever."
That line was not just about one stock. It was a philosophy that shaped every major decision Berkshire Hathaway made under his leadership.
Three companies sit at the core of that philosophy today. Apple, Coca-Cola, and Alphabet each reflect something different about what Buffett means when he talks about compounders. Each one has earned its place in the portfolio through a different kind of durable advantage, and each one keeps widening that advantage as time passes.
Apple is Berkshire's largest holding, accounting for roughly 22% of the portfolio as of the first quarter of 2026. Buffett first bought the stock in 2016, which was unusual for him, given his historical reluctance to invest in technology companies. He has since called it one of the best businesses he has ever seen.
