BitMEX has settled and delisted XBTUSD, ending one of the most influential trades in crypto history. The Bitcoin contract ran for more than 10 years and became the template for the perpetual futures market that dominates crypto trading today.
BitMEX itself will shut down on September 23. Yet the product it created is everywhere.
XBTUSD launched on May 13, 2016. It allowed traders to bet on Bitcoin without an expiry date.
Traditional futures expire on fixed dates. XBTUSD did not. That kept traders in one continuous market instead of splitting liquidity between different contracts.
BitMEX also introduced a funding system to keep the contract close to Bitcoin's spot price. When too many traders crowded onto one side, they paid the other side.

KO beat the S&P 500 over one and five years, returning 37% and 85% respectively, backed by 63 straight years of dividend raises.
At a P/E of 29 and P/FCF of 72 with shares near their $91.94 52-week high, Coca-Cola's valuation leaves little room for error.

If you bought Coca-Cola (NYSE:KO) a decade ago, you bought a business that has spent the intervening years quietly reinventing its balance sheet while doing what it always does: raising the dividend. 2025 marked the 63rd consecutive year of dividend increases, cementing Coca-Cola's status as a dividend king.
The past two years have been eventful. CEO James Quincey handed the reins to Henrique Braun in 2026, and the company has pushed hard on refranchising bottlers, including a pending sale of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa. Q4 2025 absorbed a $960M BODYARMOR impairment, but 2026 has been a different story. Q2 delivered EPS of $0.97, revenue of $13.38B (+6.7% YoY), and 5% unit case volume growth, aided by the FIFA World Cup marketing push. Management now guides to comparable EPS growth of 9% to 10% for the year.

The 10-year U.S. Treasury yield ($TNX) surged to 5.041% earlier today, marking its highest level since July 2007 and representing an 86-basis-point climb since the start of 2026. This 19-year high in benchmark borrowing costs has arrived at a critical juncture, with the Federal Reserve commencing its two-day policy meeting Tuesday and a rate decision expected Wednesday afternoon.
Markets are pricing in a 92.7% probability of a 25-basis-point hike, per CME's FedWatch Tool, which would lift the federal funds target range to 3.75%-4.00%. That overwhelming consensus in favor of a rate hike is a dramatic shift from roughly 59% just one week ago.

On September 2, Michael Genovese from Rosenblatt Securities reiterated his Neutral rating for Credo Technology Group Holding Ltd (NASDAQ:CRDO). The **** yst increased his price target for the stock from $215 to $235, which implies upside potential of almost 38% as of September 4 closing. Genovese's upward adjustment in price target in based on the company's recently announced Q1 FY27 results, leading him to increase his projections for FY27 and FY28. Despite that, he has a Neutral stance because he still wants more visibility around the company's ZeroFlap Optical Transceivers proof points, as well as the incremental revenues from its acquisition of Dust Photonics in May.
Photo by Yogesh Phuyal on Unsplash
Credo's acquisition of DustPhotonics gives it a vertically integrated connectivity stack covering DSP, silicon photonics, SerDes and system integration. This allows the company to tap into both optical and electrical interconnects across the entire AI infrastructure buildout. Together with its optical DSPs and ZeroFlap transceivers, the deal is expected to be a key growth driver in FY27, supported by resilient hyperscale customer sentiment.
Following the DustPhotonics transaction, Credo reported a strong first quarter for FY27. Topline of $479 million jumped 115% compared to Q1 in FY26. Adjusted non-GAAP net income of $236.3 million was up 140% year-over-year, as the company broadens its connectivity portfolio stack. It now spans copper and optical solutions, ranging from millimeters to kilometers, which enables Credo to meet the scaling needs of AI infrastructure with energy-efficient and reliable products.
For FY27, Credo expects a strong inflection with optical revenues expected to exceed $600 million. Management projects contributions over $100 million each from silicon photonics, ZeroFlap optics, and optical DSPs. Full-year revenue growth is expected to be over 85% year-over-year. Adjusted gross margins are likely to remain consistent with fiscal 2026 levels, along with adjusted net margins of around 50%.

The Hershey Company (NYSE: HSY) is heading into the autumn months with the tailwinds of pricing power and seasonal demand. The one stat that makes the company hard to ignore right now is its revenue growth relative to cocoa costs, which have increased by more than 120% in the past six months.
One might think a triple-digit rise in the cost of a core ingredient would hurt business, but the company's second-quarter earnings showed net sales up 6.6% year over year. Adjusted earnings per share in Q2 rose a whopping 57% in the same time period. This demonstrates Hershey's brand strength and its ability to price products without scaring off customers.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Hershey's research found that 82% of parents are likely to purchase chocolate in October, and intend to buy gummies and sour candy even earlier in the season. In response, management is planning a "Hersheyween," which runs from the end of the summer into the fourth quarter. The promotion is Hershey's largest-ever Halloween lineup.
Hershey's stock trades at a slight premium to some of its peers in the packaged-goods industry, but the sweets company offers a tasty 3.2% dividend yield and decades of consistent payouts. Hershey is currently well below its 52-week high of $239. The stock is relatively flat year to date.

Guinness Global Innovators, an investment management company, recently released its Q2 2026 quarterly investor update for its "Guinness Global Innovators Fund". You can download the letter here. The Guinness Global Innovators Fund focuses on investing in global companies that benefit from innovation in technology, communication, globalization, and management strategies. In the second quarter of 2026, the Guinness Global Innovators Fund returned 13.8% in GBP, compared with 13.0% for the MSCI World Index and 13.1% for the IA Global sector average. Easing Middle East tensions, falling oil prices, and renewed enthusiasm for artificial intelligence helped reverse much of the caution seen earlier in the year, with investors rotating back toward growth stocks and AI infrastructure beneficiaries. The Fund benefited from its overweight position in the Information Technology sector, while its overweight position in Communication Services detracted. Avoiding weaker Utilities, Materials, and Energy also supported relative performance. Also, please check the Fund's top five holdings to see its best picks for 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Guinness Global Innovators Fund highlighted Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE). Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) a leading technology company, was sold during the quarter. On August 21, 2026, Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) closed at $275.30 per share. One-month return of Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) was 15.79% and its shares lost 24.20% over the past 52 weeks. Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) has a market capitalization of $109.43 billion.
Guinness Global Innovators Fund stated the following regarding Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"We initially bought Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) for its high-quality fundamentals: a subscription-based model that generated over 96% of revenue, profit margins approaching 30%, and a deep distribution network supported by strong brand equity. We believed these attributes would provide a durable competitive edge and saw potential for Adobe to expand into historically underpenetrated segments such as non-traditional enterprise users and individual creators to enable deeper monetisation. However, the shares have struggled recently due to the rapidly changing and increasingly competitive landscape in the creative design and data **** ytics markets. Initially, Adobe was seen as a beneficiary of the AI boom as its flagship tool Firefly quickly gained momentum, generated over 16 billion creative outputs and set adoption records. Despite this early promise, the picture has since been muddied by a disconnect between upbeat management commentary and the lack of a growth inflection that would be expected to follow." Mexico's state oil firm Pemex and Brazil's national oil company Petrobras are joining efforts and expertise to drill prospects in Mexican waters in the Gulf of Mexico, hoping to unlock huge oil resources from source rock formations that are miles deeper and eight times older than the currently producing formations in the U.S. Gulf.
Exploration in the Jurassic formations deep under the Mexican Gulf seabed in the Campeche Bay carries high risks, but the reward in case of a discovery could be enormous, geologists and ******* ysts tell Bloomberg.
Back in 2018, Pemex drilled more than 7,800 meters (25,600 feet) below the sea floor and penetrated the Campeche salt layer in an exploratory well that was declared unproductive. The Mexican oil giant hasn't ventured new exploratory wells in the area since then, but industry experts believe that Pemex may have found something of great geological and/or hydrocarbon-bearing potential, which has prompted it to pursue exploration further.
Pemex hasn't shared publicly any results of its 2018 drilling campaign offshore Campeche, but ******* ysts say there is a reason why the Mexican oil giant hasn't abandoned efforts to find huge resources and turn around years of declining domestic oil production from legacy wells.

When someone you love dies, one common piece of advice is to not make any major decision within six months. Your brain may be clouded by grief and sadness, so it can be difficult to be rational. This can include decisions about giving up your job.
Not everyone follows this advice, though, and there are times when a death may spur you to take an action you should have taken anyway but may have been frightened about. The death drives home the point that life is short, so you shouldn't wait.

Burry re-established his bearish position with March 2027 $100 puts on Palantir, trading at $175, implying a 99%-plus collapse.
Palantir's Q2 numbers undercut Burry's thesis, with revenue up 93%, U.S. commercial sales up 149%, and $1.22 billion in free cash flow.
For Burry to win, Palantir's government moat, commercial growth, and cash generation would all need to simultaneously collapse, but the data does not show that happening.

In a ruling issued on Tuesday, the Milan court rejected TIM's request, saying the interpretation of the Master Service Agreement (MSA) put forward by TIM was not supported by the contract, FiberCop said in a statement.

DoorDash on Tuesday announced a deeper dive into the retail world by allowing independent merchants on Shopify that also have a physical store to easily add their product catalog to the DoorDash marketplace, further highlighting how it is becoming a competitor to Amazon, Walmart, Uber Eats, Roadie and legion of independent couriers in the on-demand e-commerce delivery **** e.
The delivery platform has been expanding for several years beyond its origin model of delivering restaurant meals into grocery and retail delivery. Last month, DoorDash (NASDAQ: DASH) announced a partnership with Autoparts.com for its gig drivers to deliver parts orders for the online retailer in under an hour.
The Shopify (NASDAQ: SHOP) integration targets small-and-medium sized local businesses as the next growth category. Retailers can add their products to the DoorDash marketplace by enabling a new sales channel within the Shopify app store, with no separate onboarding process, manual catalog uploads or disruption to existing operations, DoorDash said in a news release.
""Merchants want to sell wherever their customers are, and increasingly that means meeting them with speed and convenience," said Atlee Clark, vice president of partnerships at Shopify. "This integration puts local retailers in front of millions of DoorDash shoppers and turns same-day demand into sales, all managed inside Shopify."
DoorDash said products and inventory are automatically aligned in the system so when a customer orders what's on DoorDash always matches what's on the shelf, without the retailer having to manually manage stock levels.

Apple sued (1) a former engineer and OpenAI on July 10, alleging the engineer kept a way into Apple's most sensitive files after he left — and used it. Chang Liu, a senior system electrical engineer for eight years, defected to OpenAI in January. Within weeks, Apple says, he discovered a security bug let him still reach the company's confidential hardware files, and rather than report it, he exploited it and coached a colleague still inside Apple on how to copy materials without tripping the security team. The complaint names Liu, former Apple vice president Tang Tan, OpenAI, and its hardware subsidiary io Products.
None of this has been proven. A complaint only tells the filing party's side, and the defendants have not answered in court. Neither Liu nor Tan has commented. What the filing does offer is a detailed, message-by-message account of what Apple says happened.

Lights! Camera! Activate Trump accounts!
Contributions are now flowing after the Treasury Department launched its much-anticipated Trump account app this week. Any child under the age of 18 with a Social Security number can participate, and US citizens born between January 2025 and December 2028 can receive a $1,000 government deposit. Maximum annual contributions are set at $5,000, with the money automatically invested in low-cost index funds. It's a fantastic approach to savings, according to Adam Bergman, a tax attorney and founder of IRA Financial, one that will give millions of young Americans a financial head start by the time they reach adulthood. The biggest impact of the accounts, though, could actually be felt many decades down the line, when the emerging generation of Americans is ready to retire.
"These new accounts are a way for families to supercharge their kids' retirement savings," Bergman told Retirement Upside. "Thousands of dollars invested at a very early age could easily grow to millions by the time someone turns 60 or 65."

Qualcomm (QCOM) has multiple, potential, strong, positive catalysts due to its exposure to the fast-growing auto chip and Internet of Things (IoT) sectors. Still, since the firm is facing tough competition in these areas, its catalysts may not turn out to be as powerful as some expect. Meanwhile, high flash-memory prices could put a big dent in the company's revenue from smartphone sales in the shorter term. Since smartphone sales in the company's last completed fiscal year generated about 63% of its overall revenue, the shares' overall outlook in the short-to-medium term is quite uncertain.
Indeed, Citi is cautious about the company's short-term outlook, as the bank recently placed "a downside Catalyst Watch" on the name "based on the potential weakness" of its smartphone sales.
