In May, longtime MMA promoter Scott ***** er announced his impending return to the sport. On Monday, it was revealed that his new venture will be known as Ki MMA.
Coker, alongside business partner Peter Levin and Ki MMA matchmaker Rich Chou, shared details of his new promotion at a press conference in New York. Ki MMA is expected to officially launch in the first quarter of 2027 and will hold fights in a ring rather than a cage.
To explain the origin of the new promotion's name, ***** er said:
"The name, to me, had to have a martial arts meaning to it. When I thought about Ki, 'Kiai' is the very first thing that you learn in martial arts — your inner yell. 'Ki' meaning 'inner,' 'Ai' meaning 'yell.' So, it had to be something 'martial arts energy.' The spirit of all life force revolves around Ki. That was the genesis of the name.
"We put it to the test and worked on it, and came out with some great imagery. I'm really happy with the name."

Jalen **** er gave Carolina Panthers fans a scare after his monster Week 1 performance, but his initial injury update sounds encouraging.
Coker told reporters Monday that he rolled his ankle during the first quarter of Sunday's 59-37 loss to the Chicago Bears but expects to practice Wednesday.
That's tremendous news considering **** er somehow played through the injury and proceeded to torch Chicago's secondary.
The third-year receiver caught eight of his nine targets for a career-high 138 yards and two touchdowns, including a 51-yard score from Bryce Young. It was also the first multi-touchdown performance of **** er's career.

Kyle Larson would like to see more changes to the NextGen car moving forward. The defending NASCAR Cup Series champion expressed enthusiasm about this Saturday's ****** e Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona, which will see a new rules package.
Larson believes the new rules package could be a game-changer in the type of racing seen at "The World Center of Racing." However, the driver of the No. 5 also is not sure it will make a difference.
Regardless, "Yung Money" supports the change and hopes to see more adjustments to the NextGen car in the future.
During a media session on Friday at Daytona, Larson said he is looking forward to trying something new in Saturday's ****** e Zero Sugar 400.
Because of the NextGen car, Larson said, things have gotten repetitive in NASCAR. In the weeks following Daytona, the Hendrick Motorsports star would not mind seeing different rules packages for other tracks in an effort to "spice things up."

Forty-one NASCAR Cup Series drivers went through their two-round qualifying session Friday at Daytona International Speedway. The first round filled out the field and designated Gray Gaulding of Garage 66 as the odd man out as the slowest of the open rides. The second took the top 10 and gave them an additional lap, duking it out for pole position.
In the end, Ross Chastain prevailed and will lead everyone to the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the regular-season finale.

Week one of the high school football season in the Schuylkill League and all across Pennsylvania is less than a week away.
But before teams turn to to preparing for their week one opponents, they'll have the opportunity for a tune-up as the league holds it "Scrimmage Saturday."
Numerous scrimmages will be happening locally including Greater Nanticoke facing Mahanoy Area, Tri-Valley along with Executive Education Charter Academy from Allentown will be scrimmaging Pine Grove Area, Nativity and Shenandoah Valley will also be partaking in a scrimmage at Minersville, and Schuylkill Haven will host Lakeland.
By this point in the summer, most head coaches already have a good idea of who their starters are, how their offense and defense are progressing, and where their team is overall prior to week one.
The scrimmages on Saturday will offer the opportunity for coaches to make sure their teams are ready to go for next Friday while also for the first time this fall giving them the opportunity to face someone in a different color jersey.

Anderson was a two-time All-Patriot League first-team honoree.
Coker, who signed a three-year contract extension with the Panthers in June, emerged as a vital part of the Panthers' offense his first two seasons in the NFL. ****** er missed the first six games of 2025 with a quadriceps injury before coming back to make 33 catches for 394 yards and 3 touchdowns and help Carolina win the NFC South ****** le for the first time in a decade. In the Panthers' wild-card playoff game loss to the Los Angeles Rams, ****** er had nine receptions for 134 yards and a TD. ****** er is Holy Cross' all-time leader in receiving yards and receiving touchdowns.
Crippen, who grew up in Northborough and attended Milton Academy and IMG Academy, was a member of the University of Michigan's 2024 national ****** le team. One name in fantasy football that isn't being talked about much is Carolina Panthers WR Jalen ****** er. That's mainly because of the team surrounding ****** er, but might Carolina be an offense on the rise? The Panthers have a decent young group headlined by QB Bryce Young and WR Tetairoa McMillan. As ****** er enters Year 3 in the NFL, it may be time for a breakout campaign.
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
Here to discuss ****** er's outlook for the 2026 season are new Yahoo ****** ysts Josh Norris and Hayden Winks, celebrating their inaugural show for Yahoo Fantasy. The pair were joined by Yahoo Fantasy Forecast host Matt Harmon to get things started. You can look forward to more content all season long from Josh and Hayden, from the lead up to your draft through the regular season and offseason. Check out their YouTube channel here.
Harmon thinks ****** er is a great receiver and it's just taken him a bit longer to adjust to the NFL game coming from Holy Cross at the collegiate level. Harmon compares ****** er's body type to that of Chris Godwin Jr. or Jakobi Meyers. Two receivers we've seen have fantasy football success in the past five years.
Coker has only made it to 11 games in each of his two NFL seasons. Health has been an issue but he's made strides to get his body right. Last season, ****** er had 33 catches for 394 yards and three scores. While the regular season was uninspiring from a fantasy standpoint, the ****** ysts point out the playoff game vs. the Rams. ****** er had a 9-134-1 line on 12 targets against Los Angeles in the Panthers' near upset win.

A cold Diet ***** e—sometimes paired with a shot of espresso—has become one of social media's favorite afternoon rituals. Gen Z even gave it a nickname: the "fridge cigarette." That's why it was so strange when Coca-Cola introduced a new font that eerily resembled an iconic one straight out of the cigarette world.
"Coke and Marlboro had a baby—and it's a font!," one X user wrote after seeing the company's updated typography. Others echoed the comparison, saying Coca-Cola's refreshed typography looked strikingly similar to Marlboros, in a case of reality imitating memes. Still others wondered whether the company had unintentionally leaned into the internet's "fridge cigarette" joke.
"Is Coca Cola rebranding like that because we all started calling 'em fridge cigarettes???," another fan questioned.
Coca-Cola said the refresh was designed to create "one iconic look" across more than 200 markets by updating its packaging and typography.
"This refresh is about being clearer and more consistent in how we show up, wherever people experience our brand," Arnab Roy, president of Coca-Cola Global Category, said in a statement on Monday. "By building on the things people already know and love, we're creating a stronger foundation for growth while staying unmistakably Coca-Cola."

COKE and COST both go ex-dividend July 24, 2026, so investors must own shares before July 23 to receive the August 7 payout.
Despite yields below 1%, both dividends are backed by massive free cash flows, with **** E generating $620 million and COST generating $7.84 billion annually.
Act now: the **** yst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just named his top 10 AI stocks — and Costco didn't make the cut. Grab the names FREE today.
The clock is ticking on two of the most recognizable dividend payers on the Nasdaq. Both Coca-Cola Consolidated (NASDAQ:COKE) and Costco Wholesale (NASDAQ:COST) go ex-dividend on the same day, Friday, July 24, 2026, with both payments landing in shareholder accounts on August 7, 2026. To capture either check, shares must be owned before the ex-date, which means the last practical day to buy is Thursday, July 23, 2026.
The mechanics matter here. The ex-dividend date is the cutoff: buy on or after July 24 and the seller keeps this dividend, not you. The pay date is simply when cash hits your account. Miss the ex-date, and there is no catching up until the next quarterly cycle.
