After completion, J. Stern & Co. will manage more than $2.8bn in **** ets. That total includes more than $2.3bn in its flagship World Stars Global Equity strategy.
The value of the deal has not been disclosed. The transaction remains subject to approval from Swiss regulator FINMA.

The machines reportedly being made in China are deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography machines. This is an older technology used to manufacture older chips and the less critical components of advanced chips. DUV machines are also used to manufacture ordinary DRAM and flash memory. While a loss of DUV sales to China could impact ASML's revenue, the region now accounts for a smaller share of its overall revenue. The company is restricted from selling EUV and advanced DUV machines to China and is only allowed to sell older-technology systems to Chinese companies. As such, only about 14% of its sales came from the country last quarter. Meanwhile, there was already a bill in Congress set to prevent ASML from selling or servicing machines for the first three Chinese companies expected to receive these homegrown DUV machines, so this revenue was likely to be cut off regardless.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced a $22.5 billion renovation of Washington Dulles International Airport that will end the use of the widely disliked "people movers," the mobile lounges that have been used for decades to shuttle travelers to and from the main terminal.
In place of the people movers, the airport will add a new U-shaped passenger train, a central walking tunnel, more moving walkways and new concourses. An above-ground parking garage closer to the main terminal with ****** e for 32,000 vehicles is also in the offing, according to Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
The airport makeover would add to a long list of renovation projects the Republican president is pursuing to leave a lasting mark on the Washington region after his term ends in January 2029. Among other undertakings, he is building a new White House ballroom and wants to build a towering triumphal arch near the Lincoln Memorial.
But of all the construction projects Trump is pursuing, the renovations at Dulles could prove to be his most popular and benefit the greatest number of people. The airport, the area's primary international airport, served roughly 29 million passengers over the past year, according to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
"This transformation is another step in our ongoing efforts to make Washington, D.C., safe and beautiful again," Trump said. "We're doing something with Dulles that's going to make it the top anywhere in the world."

Allen Park — Following their first practice of training camp on Wednesday, the Detroit Lions placed offensive lineman Giovanni Manu on the active/Non-Football Injury (NFI) list, which is meant for players who suffer injuries away from the team.
The timing of Manu's placement on the list, given his participation in Wednesday's practice, was odd. Lions coach Dan Campbell provided some clarity Thursday morning.
"He had an injury, a previous injury over the summer, that was not disclosed," Campbell said. "He came off the practice field (on Wednesday), didn't feel good, got it checked. Sure enough, that's what it was. So, he will be out for a period of time. I don't know how long that's going to be. Call it 12 weeks. Fourteen weeks. I don't know. We'll figure it out down the road, but he is NFI."
Manu, entering his fourth season, was expected to compete for a depth role during this year's training camp. The Lions are likely to start Penei Sewell and rookie Blake Miller at their tackle spots, with veteran Larry Borom serving as the top backup.

We knew Taysom Hill could run and pass, but he proved he could catch on this 45-yard touchdown reception against the Carolina Panthers. That's an easy choice for our New Orleans Saints Play of the Day.
Hill may have scored on this play, but it was Drew Brees' day to remind everyone just how lethal he could be so late in his career. The future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback cruised to 253 yards and three touchdowns on the afternoon, going 19-of-30 and completing passes to eight different players.
With that said, this play was all Hill's doing. The versatile playmaker ran a crossing route and lost the defender trailing him to get wide open short of the first down marker -- then he cut upfield to pick up 20 yards. NEW DELHI: As India enter a critical phase in their bid to stay alive in the World Test Championship (WTC) race, Jasprit **** rah and Shubman Gill are taking a cautious approach to regaining full fitness ahead of the two-Test series in Sri Lanka starting Aug 15.
TOI understands that **** rah will begin gradually increasing his bowling workload after suffering an impact injury during the ODI series in England, while Gill has sought help from specialists outside the BCCI for his chronic neck problem.
It is learnt that **** rah developed swelling in his knee before the final ODI at Lord's on June 19 but the medical team is confident he will be ready for the first Test in Galle. The selectors picked him for the Sri Lanka tour subject to fitness. The focus is now on preparing him to endure the rigours of Test cricket.
Bumrah has played little longer-format cricket since the second Test against South Africa in Guwahati last Nov. He has featured only in T20 cricket, apart from two ODIs in England last month. **** rah is currently at the Centre of Excellence (CoE).
"Bumrah will start bowling this week and his workload will be gradually increased. He needs to get used to bowling longer spells again. The medical team at CoE will be closely monitoring it, and the initial reports are that he should be good to start the first Test. These two Test matches are very important for India. Dropping even one Test here will put immense pressure on the team to qualify for the WTC final next year. That's why the team management wants **** rah to be available in prime shape for the series," a BCCI source told TOI.
As for Gill, it is learnt that he has been consulting specialists to address the neck pain that first flared up during his first innings in the opening Test against South Africa at Eden Gardens. The problem eventually ruled him out of the rest of the series, which India lost 0-2. He also missed an IPL match because of the recurring pain.
"Gill has been battling the neck pain for some time. It flares up every now and then, especially when he bats for a longer period. He has been consulting specialists outside BCCI for treatment and he is much better now. It's an ongoing process. India felt his absence in that South Africa series. Trafford Council held the first of four open days on Wednesday to allow local residents to ****** s the proposed Wharfside Strategic Masterplan, which will have Manchester United's new stadium as its centrepiece.
There are going to be four open days before the consultation period closes on 22 September and for the 90 minutes I attended, there were a steady stream of interested observers, keen to ****** s what the multi-billion pound development will look like and where the stadium will sit within it.
Club, project and council officials were also present, with all noting a general sense of positivity around the plans, which were given the green light by the council last week.
Subtle tweaks can be made, and United officials are keen to stress nothing should be read into the fact the distinctive circus tent aspect of the previous stadium design is not evident in this one.
Not everyone was wholly upbeat. One long-standing local United fan - 73-year-old Phil Sharp, who was keen to tell me he saw Duncan Edwards play - is unhappy the club have moved from the initial site, close to the current Old Trafford, to another location 350 yards away.

Texas A&M coach Mike Elko and his staff are close to wrapping up the No. 1-ranked 2027 recruiting class, and as soon as the 2026 season kicks off against Missouri State on Saturday, Sept. 5, the 2028 recruiting class will become the focus, but won't include five-star cornerback A'mir Sears, who reclassified to the 2027 cycle and will announce his commitment on Friday.

It's trade deadline season, and though this has been a tame deadline period so far, the continuous swirl of rumors and (eventually) actual transactions will be the focus of much of the baseball world in the coming days. Yesterday, we discussed which players the Yankees were most likely to move, and today, we ask: what weakness do the Yankees most need to address, and which one are they most likely to address?
The answer to this question has been fluid throughout the year. Early on, it seemed obvious to most that the Yankees would need to make big additions to their bullpen, yet here we are at the end of July, and the Yankee relief corps has the second-best ERA in the majors. Paul Blackburn has proven to be the second coming of Luke Weaver, Brent Headrick almost never allows runs, David Bednar has been the top-tier closer the team envisioned, and Matt Blake's latest reclamation project, Angel Chivilli, has looked dynamite since his most recent call-up. Add in the fact that players like Will Warren and Ryan Weathers (and perhaps Carlos Lagrange?) could get shifted to the bullpen if they're not traded, and the unit looks like an area of strength, not weakness.
At other times, the matter of the infield appeared to be most pressing. Ryan McMahon and Jazz Chisholm Jr. each got off to nightmarish starts, and the shortstop duo of Anthony Volpe and José Caballero has had its ups and downs. But even on the dirt, things don't look nearly as shaky as they did two or three months ago. Since seeing his OPS bottom out at .498 on April 22nd, Chisholm has played exactly as expected, with a .239/.309/.463 slash line and 16 homers plus 21 steals. McMahon has run a roughly .750 OPS over the last two months while bringing his usual quality defense at third base. And despite his penchant for high-profile miscues, Volpe's combination of high-OBP and good range at short has made him a valuable contributor.
Then, there's the most obvious need now, at catcher, with Yankee backstops having combined to "hit" .181/.261/.284. But even adding a catcher comes with major complications, as most teams are loath to make significant changes to their caching room midseason. For as awful as Austin Wells and Co. have been with the bat this year, a catcher's primary job is to catch, to field his position, to manage his pitching staff. The Yankee backstops have done that portion of their job with aplomb this year (it's probably not a coincidence that the Yankees prioritize defense at catcher and have the best team ERA in baseball), and it's not trivial to just add a plus bat to that room without shaking things up on the run-prevention front.
Add it all up, and it leaves the Yankee roster in a weird spot heading into a crucial deadline. The long — very, very, very long — negotiations for Randal Kolo Muani are now a thing of the past, with Wednesday bringing the news that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain had finally agreed to a deal for the 27-year-old Frenchman. It won't be too long before Kolo Muani is walking through the doors at J Medical again, undergoing his medicals and then shaking hands with Giovanni Carnevali and Luciano Spalletti.
The saga is officially a thing of the past.
For that fact let us be thankful.

As reported by AS, Fulham are closing in on the signing of Real Madrid youngster Cesar Palacios, with negotiations accelerating significantly over the past 24 hours.
An agreement is now believed to be close, with both clubs making rapid progress as they work to finalise the transfer.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average remained strong into the final moments of trading on Tuesday, but Micron Technology (MU) was among the memory-chip makers that got pounded. Meanwhile, Dow stock Apple (AAPL) hit a coveted level only Nvidia (NVDA) has reached. And ***** eX stock ended a short losing streak while SK Hynix (SKHY) got pummeled on the stock market today.
The Dow ended the day up 1%, or around 537 points, locking in its third consecutive advance. The S&P 500 closed 0.2% higher but held below its 50-day moving average. The Nasdaq composite lost 0.2% as chip names fell hard. The Nasdaq-100 closed down 1%. With the recent sell-off in AI and semiconductor stocks, the index's intraday low of 27,452.95 touched into correction territory as that level was nearly 11% under its record high of 30,762.20.
Small caps improved in the final stretch, with the Russell 2000 ending up 0.2%.
Stocks had found upside support as oil prices slumped. While talks between the U.S. and Iran continue, reports said Oman is in discussions with other Gulf nations about how to manage the Strait of Hormuz. Brent crude, the international benchmark, fell to $81.90, and West Texas intermediate futures lost roughly 4% to $79.20 per barrel.
Also falling, the 10-year Treasury yield dropped 4 basis points to 4.6% and bitcoin declined to near $63,900.

The world's third-largest liner operator is taking a major leap toward becoming a major player in the ports business.
French liner CMA CGM and private equity investor Stonepeak of New York today announced the formation of United Ports LLC, a joint venture aimed at expanding the former's global network of marine terminals.
Stonepeak will invest $2.4 billion in the initiative, and receive a 25% minority stake, the partners said in a release.
"The creation of United Ports LLC, our joint venture with Stonepeak, marks an important step in the development of our terminal activities in the United States and globally," said Rodolphe Saade, chairman and chief executive of closely-held CMA CGM Group.
The venture opened its doors with what are described as 10 key port **** ets on four continents:
