July Nymex natural gas (NGN26) on Friday fell -0.107 (-3.21%).
Nat-gas prices retreated on Friday amid abundant US stockpiles and reduced flows to export terminals, which will further boost US domestic supplies. As of May 29, nat-gas inventories were +5.7% above their 5-year seasonal average, signaling adequate nat-gas supplies. Also, net flows to US LNG export terminals on Friday were just above 17.0 bcf/day, near the lowest level in more than two weeks, which will boost domestic supplies further as seasonal maintenance continues to limit exports.

Financial markets tanked after a stronger-than-expected U.S. jobs report, setting the stage for a Federal Reserve rate increase sooner than investors may have been expecting.
The broad S&P 500 fell 2.6% to close near 7,384, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gave back nearly 700 points, or 1.4%. The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite sank 4.2%, more than 1,100 points, to close near 25,709.
The benchmark U.S. 10-year note, meanwhile, was nearly 7 basis points higher, near 4.551%. Bond yields, or interest rates, move in the opposite direction as prices, and investors sell bonds in higher-inflation environments.
U.S. employers added 172,000 jobs in May, and reports from the previous two months were revised up to show a gain of 93,000 more jobs than previously estimated, the Labor Department said Friday.
A strong economy and rising prices will probably lead to a Federal Reserve rate hike sooner than later, several ******* ysts said in the wake of the jobs report.

Nvidia (NVDA) stock is up just 15% in 2026 while the rest of the chip sector races ahead, and one flow signal helps explain why the market's former leader is being left behind.
The split from the sector is the surface story. Beneath it, options bets, perpetual traders, and institutional flows are pulling in different directions, and only one of them resolves the puzzle.
Nvidia and the Semiconductor Index have moved in opposite directions on about half of all trading sessions over the past 50 days, near the highest rate since the 2022 bull market began. That frequency has more than quadrupled since the start of April.

The performance gap is just as wide. The Nvidia stock price is up roughly 15% on the year, while Broadcom (AVGO) has gained about 20% and AMD has climbed far higher.

Memory chip stocks have been on fire this year, with Micron (MU) leading the charge. Advanced AI servers have sent demand soaring, making chips that were once deemed “boring” the hottest part of tech. MU stock has climbed almost 750% over the past 52 weeks as investors bet on an extended memory supercycle. Raymond James recently added to the momentum by lifting its price target to $1,100 from $530 and reiterating an “Outperform” rating ahead of the June 24 earnings report. In response, the stock rose more than 6% and moved above the $1,000 mark, although shares now trade closer to the $900 level.
Raymond James' bullish call rests on more than a fast-moving share price. Micron said in March that second-quarter revenue nearly tripled from a year earlier and it expects another record-setting quarter, with management pointing to strong AI data-center demand, tight industry supply, and improving visibility from customers.

After a historic run-up, the most compelling case for Marvell's next move higher isn't a new product but the rapidly escalating ambition of its own financial outlook.
After a run that has seen its stock return +318% in three months, you might think the easy money in Marvell Technology (MRVL) has been made. The stock is trading at the top of its 52-week range, and the AI story is hardly a secret. So, what could possibly fuel the next leg of growth from here?
The answer lies not in some hidden catalyst but in a pattern hiding in plain sight: the company’s own financial forecast, which has been revised upward so aggressively and so frequently it suggests a fundamental step-change in the business. This aggressive forecasting goes far beyond a standard beat-and-raise, signaling a wholesale rewriting of the company's multi-year trajectory.
A Moving Target, Pointing Up
Consider the evolution of Marvell’s outlook for its fiscal 2027. Last September, management guided to revenue of approximately $9.5 billion. By December, that had climbed to approximately $10 billion. On its March earnings call, the forecast was raised again to “approaching $11 billion.” And on the latest call in May? The target was lifted once more, to “nearly $11.5 billion.”

Things may finally be looking up for UnitedHealth (UNH). Shares of the largest health insurer in the United States popped more than 5% in yesterday's trading session after leading broker Bank of America upgraded the company to a “Buy” from “Neutral.” The firm also increased its price target on the stock to $450 from $420, which would entail an upside potential of 12% from current levels.
Even more good news awaited its shareholders when the company recently raised its dividend by 5% to $2.32 per share. Notably, UnitedHealth has been raising dividends consecutively over the past 16 years, and with the latest rise, its stock now offers a dividend yield of 2.34%. Valued at a market cap of $360 billion, UNH stock is up 21.7% on a YTD basis.

NEW YORK, June 5 (Reuters) - ****** eX has drawn investor demand of about $150 billion for its IPO, about double the $75 billion it is seeking to raise, ‌said two people familiar with the matter on Friday.
An oversubscription rate of two times would ‌be considered modest for most highly anticipated market flotations, but bankers and investors said that demand is impressive for the ****** eX offering since it is the largest IPO ever.
The company remains in the early stages of the marketing process, sources cautioned. Investor demand is still subject to change before the IPO prices next week.
The sources added that some large institutional investors tend to submit orders late in IPO processes, and that current subscription figures reflect indications of ‌interest rather than final allocations, which will be set at pricing.

Turning 55 can be a wake-up call for retirement savers. You're only seven years from being eligible for Social Security (albeit at a reduced rate) and you're 10 years away from Medicare enrollment. And while retirement might still seem far away, you don't have unlimited time to make up for missing savings.
If your IRA or 401(k) isn't where you want it to be by 55, you're not alone. Many people reach their mid-50s feeling that they're behind on retirement savings.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
The good news is that you still have time to change your financial outlook if your savings aren't adequate. Here's what to do immediately and in the coming years.
If you're 55, you may be earning more money now than ever before. That means that even if you still have looming expenses, you may have more leeway to boost your IRA or 401(k) plan contributions.

Famed investors Sir John Templeton and Peter Lynch both touted the benefits of looking far afield for investing opportunities. China Yuchai International (CYD) is one such option currently offering up an entry amid a powerful rally.
The company operates through its majority-owned subsidiary Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., which makes, ****** embles, and distributes diesel engines. Its products are used in construction equipment, trucks and cars in China. This means its fortunes are strongly tied to those of the world's second-largest economy.
The stock's strong all-around performance has launched it to the summit of the heavy-duty trucks and parts industry group. The China stock currently holds a best-possible IBD Composite Rating of 99.
China Yuchai is strongest from a fundamental perspective, with the stock holding an Earnings Per Share Rating of 99. Unlike an average U.S.-based company, China Yuchai reports on a semiannual basis. LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Los Angeles Angels placed outfielder/designated hitter Jorge Soler on the 10-day injured list with a left oblique strain on Saturday.
Soler was scratched before Friday's game against the Los Angeles Dodgers because of hip tightness. He also left a game on Wednesday against Colorado.
Soler is hitting .220 with nine home runs, 33 RBIs and a .702 OPS in 58 games. He was suspended by MLB after charging the mound against Atlanta starter Reynaldo López on April 7. After punches were thrown, both players were suspended seven games. Soler appealed and got his penalty reduced to four games.
The 34-year-old appeared in just 82 games last season, having spent long stretches on the IL with lower back inflammation.
The team reinstated first baseman Nolan Schanuel (ankle) and put him in the starting lineup at first base against the Dodgers on Saturday night.

CHICAGO (AP) — Germany has some injury concerns going into the World Cup. It also has a nine-game win streak.
Germany played without Lennart Karl on Saturday, a day after the 18-year-old midfielder injured his thigh in training. But Leroy Sané and Kai Havertz scored as the 10th-ranked Germans beat the U.S. 2-1 at Soldier Field.
Next up for Germany is its World Cup opener on June 14 against Curaçao. It also has Group E games against the Ivory Coast on June 20 and Ecuador on June 25.
Karl has been ruled out for the tournament. He was coming off a breakout season with Bayern Munich, when he became the club’s youngest Champions League goal-scorer.
“Really tough. ... I had a good connection to Lenny. He’s a great guy, a very young guy,” Germany defender David Raum said after the win over the U.S. “But yeah, we shared a lot of nice moments together also in this short time. I played in training always against him because he plays on the right wing. Yeah, we lose a good human being and an amazing player.”

Which teams are the New Orleans Saints' greatest rivals? Which matchups get fans to circle dates on their calendars and make travel plans to pack the visitors' stands? Some picks are more obvious than others, but we've carefully considered the criteria to highlight which teams Saints fans hate the most:
Frequency. It isn't a rivalry if you only play each other every five years. The Saints are celebrating their 60th anniversary in 2026, so we're trimming the list down to teams which played against New Orleans at least 30 times.
Competition. Again, it isn't a rivalry if just one team is running the show. You want to see both teams giving as good as they get. Parity matters. The closer to .500, the better.
Significance. What about playoff games? Who has had more opportunities end each other's season? When all else is equal, this can be a deciding factor.
We're admittedly stretching the definition of a rivalry when looking at almost a third of the NFL's teams, but it's worth pointing out when the Saints have more shared history with some franchises than others.

Tampa Bay shifts Steven Matz to relief role following struggles in rotation originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
The Tampa Bay Rays are making a change to their pitching staff, moving veteran left-hander Steven Matz from the starting rotation to the bullpen after a pair of disappointing outings that saw his season ERA rise to 5.48.
The move was announced Saturday after Matz struggled in consecutive starts, including a difficult performance against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday. The 35-year-old allowed five runs on six hits, including two home runs, in just 1 2/3 innings during Tampa Bay’s 8-0 loss. Matz threw 53 pitches before manager Kevin Cash elected to remove him from the game. Cash was particularly concerned with a drop in the velocity of Matz’s fastball, which averaged 92 mph compared to his season average of 93.3 mph.
Matz, who is 4-3 on the season, has struggled to find consistency in recent weeks. Opposing hitters have posted significantly stronger numbers against him during his last several appearances, while his strikeout rate has declined and hard-contact rates have increased.
The Rays had hoped Matz could provide stability in the middle of the rotation after joining the club, but his recent struggles have forced the organization to reconsider his role. Cash indicated that the bullpen move will allow Matz to focus on shorter outings while the team evaluates its starting-pitching options moving forward.

The New Jets, on paper, have gotten a lot better on offense throughout this offseason. The rookie additions of tight end Kenyon Sadiq and wide receiver Omar Cooper Jr. as well as the addition of quarterback Geno Smith, and the retention of running back Breece Hall were all very important to the success of this group in 2026. Combine this with a returning Garrett Wilson and things are really looking up for Gang Green. However, there’s one more piece to this puzzle who gained valuable experience as a starter in 2025 with the Jets and is looking to level up. That player is Adonai Mitchell, and his rise may already be beginning.
The WR hierarchy is pretty much unknown after Garrett Wilson. The battle for WR2 will be between the aforementioned Adonai Mitchell and new face Omar Cooper Jr. Both are talented, showing WR1 upside in college with different skillsets. Mitchell is a great athlete with field-stretching ability and a large frame. Meanwhile, Cooper wins more with technique and is lethal after the catch. Both have valuable qualities.
Focusing more on Mitchell’s summer thus far, it seems he’s building up his game very well. He’s shown great timing and improvement in his route running according to those in attendance. His work in the offseason has also seemingly blossomed into great chemistry with his new QB as well. He also seems to have developed a respect for his new signal caller already, calling him a “baller” and the “alpha of the room” during a press conference.
This is great news, as it shows Adonai Mitchell’s commitment to the team and himself getting better. This comes despite pre-draft criticisms of his preparation, attitude, and perhaps even immaturity. It’s safe to say that those rumors can end now.
Mitchell’s role within the Jets offense is as a serious threat while Garrett Wilson and presumably Omar Cooper Jr. handle the intermediate and short areas of the field. In the 8 games he played for the Jets, he racked up 13 targets of 20+ yards, with only 3 of them being completed. That has a lot to do with poor QB play.

Iran has accused the US of denying visas to "integral" members of its national football team's backroom staff, hours after Washington confirmed Iranian players had been given permission to travel to the upcoming World Cup.
US officials said visas had been issued to players and "necessary support staff" on Friday, 10 days before Iran's opening fixture in Los Angeles on 15 June.
It also said Iran would not be allowed to "abuse this system to sneak terrorists into the United States under false pretences".
Iran's embassy in Turkey accused the US of "politically biased interference in sport" by denying further visas to a "large portion of the managerial and executive staff" and "technical advisers".
A statement described the US announcement as a "whitewash", adding: "You have now escalated the deliberate and discriminatory treatment against Iran's national football team to its highest level."
