SeanStrickland believes Bud Light mishandled the aftermath ofDustinPoirier's arrest.

Poirier was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta InternationalAirport on a charge of public drunkenness after he threatened tofight a police officer while intoxicated and even used a racialslur. He has since owned up to his mistake while accepting hisissues with alcoholism since his retirement, vowing to stay sobergoing forward.

However, Poirier (30-10) recently revealed that Bud Light canceledhis sponsorship due to the incident and Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight king Stricklandisn't on board with the decision.
While Strickland had initially mocked Poirier for blaming hisdepression, he has since expressed his heartfelt support for "TheDiamond." Strickland had even warned Bud Light against cancelingPoirier's sponsorship. The two-time champion recently lashed out atthe beverage company for the same.

Strickland (31-7) says Bud Light already betrayed America byprinting transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney's photo on theircans in 2023. He believes Poirier didn't deserve to lose hissponsorship for nothing more than an embarrassing drunk incident.Strickland says Bud Light should have instead extended their helpto Poirier to deal with his alcoholism.

"It made me so f*cking mad. Bud Light already f*cking betrayedAmerica with their f*cking tr--ny on a beer can," Strickland saidon the "Shawn Ryan Show." "How much of a piece of sh*t are you, BudLight? The moment something bad happens where you get a littleshame 'cause you got drunk on a plane and tried to fight a blackcop. Which is funny; it's not racist. You want to terminate hiscontract? They should have reached out to Dustin and said, 'HeyDustin man, you might have a problem with drinking. We're a beercompany, we sponsor you, can we help you?' That's not what theydid. They're gonna say, 'You used our product and you f*cked up.Get the f*ck lost, we don't want that bad image.'"

The NEOS Bitcoin High Income ETF (CBOE:BTCI) markets itself as a way to earn equity-like income from Bitcoin's volatility. BTCI pays monthly, uses a synthetic covered call overlay on Bitcoin exposure, and has distributed at rates translating into a headline yield well above 15%. This piece examines how BTCI generates that cash flow, whether the current distribution level is durable, and what trailing price action reveals about total returns.
This Bitcoin-oriented vehicle holds BTC exposure indirectly rather than through spot coins. According to the fund's holdings snapshot, roughly 56% of **** ets sit in U.S. Treasury bills, with Bitcoin exposure coming through positions in iShares Bitcoin Trust (roughly 13%) and VanEck's HODL (roughly 7%). The manager writes call options on Bitcoin ETFs and may layer in bear call spreads, a structure described in fund coverage as a synthetic covered call approach. BTCI's design aims to generate income while maintaining indirect exposure to Bitcoin price movements.

According to Charania, the Warriors offered four first-round picks to land Antetokounmpo, an offer that was ultimately rebuffed by the Bucks.
Charania also revealed that Golden State was in talks to land Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics but wasn't comfortable giving up the same amount of draft capital that they offered for Giannis.
All in all, both Brown and Antetokounmpo wound up with other contenders, leaving the Warriors searching for another true star to pair with Stephen Curry.

NavajoStirling saw a fighter in shambles right before his Dana White's Contender Series bout.

Stirling earned his Ultimate Fighting Championship contract with a knockout win onContender Series in 2024. He was sharing the locker room withQuemuelOttoni, who was set to face KodySteele. Ottoni eventually didn't make the walk to the Octagonand Stirling has now detailed what happened behind the scenes.
Stirling (10-0) recently revealed that Ottoni (12-4) was aggressivetowards Steele, and even other fighters, throughout fight weekuntil the weigh-ins. However, the Brazilian's nerves got the betterof him right before stepping out for his bout and he allegedlystarted crying backstage, even ripping off his hand wraps multipletimes.

Cutman Brad Tate, who was in charge of wrapping Ottoni, refused torepeat it after a point. The bout was eventually called off andSteele won his contract in a later Contender Series outing.

"The guy that was on Contenders [Series] was probably the worstone," Stirling told Full Send MMA. "He was fighting Kody Steele. Hechoked out AlexPereira back in the day. I was in the locker room with him… Atthe weigh-ins, he is puffing his chest, he is even looking at me,like, 'You wanna go?' I'm like, 'Bro, save it for tomorrow.' He'sstaunching Kody Steele out at the weigh-ins. And I was thinking,'This is going to be a banger.' We get to the fight night and hejust started crying. He took his gloves off three or four times. They had to re-wrap his hands. I think he had cutman Tate. Thecutman said, 'F*ck this guy, I'm not wrapping his handsanymore.'"

Both Tate and Steele have confirmed Stirling's story about Ottoni, who had choked out UFC superstar Pereira in the latter'sprofessional MMA debut in 2015. Ottoni and Pereira's careers havetaken contrasting trajectories since. While Pereira went on tobecome a two-division champion, Ottoni is yet to make it out of theregional scene. He has fought only once since the Contender Seriesfiasco, suffering a first-round technical knockout loss.

Meanwhile, the undefeated Stirling already has five UFC wins to hisname. The Kiwi is now scheduled to face JanBlachowicz (29-11) on less than three weeks' notice at UFC Belgrade in Serbia on Aug. 1.

S&P Global's composite PMI climbed to 53.6 in July, its highest reading in eight months, signaling roughly 2% annualized GDP growth in Q3.
Rising input costs, supply chain disruptions, and the fastest selling-price increases in years give the Fed little reason to cut rates before 2027.
Companies with strong balance sheets, free cash flow, and pricing power are best positioned to outperform in a higher-for-longer rate environment.

Artificial intelligence has become a market that rewards execution, not promises. Investors have poured hundreds of billions of dollars into companies building AI infrastructure, yet leadership can change quickly when technology shifts or customers choose different suppliers. That makes earnings season especially important because it separates companies making real progress from those still telling turnaround stories.
Intel's (INTC) latest quarterly results showed meaningful progress across the businesses that matter most for AI, helping explain why the stock has climbed 322% over the past year even after retreating 27% from the all-time high it reached last month. Even so, the numbers suggest investors may still find better opportunities elsewhere in the AI ecosystem.

President Donald Trump told a crowd in Michigan that the White House has ordered 250 Cadillac Escalades, the flagship sport utility vehicle in the luxury auto brand's lineup, for his presidential motorcade.
Trump revealed the purchase in a speech delivered at a General Motors testing facility in the Detroit suburb of Milford.
"The one and only Escalade," he said toward the beginning of a roughly one-hour-long address. "You know we ordered, I think, 250 Escalades, right? We ordered 250 Escalades…. We look sharp in those Escalades."

American Airlines Group (AAL) shares tumbled after the carrier warned that surging jet fuel prices are eroding profitability, overshadowing an otherwise stronger-than-expected second-quarter earnings report. While the airline delivered record quarterly revenue and topped Wall Street's earnings estimates, investors focused on sharply higher fuel expenses and a weaker full-year outlook, raising fresh concerns about margin pressure and the stock's near-term trajectory.
Fuel costs have emerged as the key challenge. American said second-quarter fuel expense jumped by more than $2.2 billion, or 83% year-over-year (YOY), although higher ticket prices offset nearly half of that increase. Management expects fuel costs to remain elevated in the third quarter and now forecasts full-year adjusted earnings ranging from a loss of $0.65 per share to a profit of $0.65, a significant reduction from its previous outlook.

Shopify CEO Tobias Lütke, whose company commands a market capitalization near $154 billion, told his social media followers this week that a tax-tiered voting system—one that would strip voting rights from anyone who pays no income tax—would be a "good system."
That two-word endorsement, dropped into a viral thread, has reignited a debate over wealth, power, and democracy that most Americans thought was settled more than a century ago.
The proposal would invert the founding American principle of "no taxation without representation" into something closer to "no representation without taxation"—and specifically, high taxation. Reactions online split sharply: Some framed it as a provocative thought experiment about aligning fiscal responsibility with political voice, while others called it a naked attempt to legitimize plutocracy by giving billionaires and multimillionaires a formal, multiplied vote over the laws that govern everyone else.
But it also revealed that America is grappling with a political economy debate, as a frozen housing market and an entrenched wealthy baby boomer demographic have many, not just Lütke, arguing that something big needs to change.
The exchange began with a provocation from Lütke: Pension recipients should have their financial futures "locked in and guaranteed," but in return would be reclassified as "dependents" and lose the right to vote—the same way minors can't vote. A reply from "Eric Thor," who claimed to be a retired banking executive as well as "armchair economist and policy wonk," proposed a sliding scale: zero votes for anyone who pays no income tax, one vote for those earning $1–100K, two votes for $100–200K, scaling up in that pattern to a hard cap of five votes for anyone earning $500K or more. The pitch was framed as fairness—reward "representation" for those who "foot the bill" through taxation.

Jaelan Phillips was already going to be shouldering a heavy load for the Carolina Panthers defense this year. The four-year, $120 million contract he signed in March was the biggest for player in free agency—even more than former sack champion Trey Hendrickson got from the Baltimore Ravens.
And now, after Thursday's news revealed that fellow starting outside linebacker Nic Scourton would miss the entire 2026 season due to an ACL tear, the pressure is even greater.
From Phillips' perspective, he's focused on turning his high pressure rate into more sacks. Here's what he told NFL Network national reporter Cameron Wolfe after the opening session of training camp:
Phillips entered the 2025 campaign with a career high of 8.5 sacks, which he posted during his rookie season in 2021. Last year, he managed just 5.0 while playing a full 17-game slate between the Miami Dolphins and the Philadelphia Eagles.
The under-the-hood numbers, however, tell a bit of a different story. Phillips tallied 76 pressures in 2025, tied for the ninth-most in the league.

A woman is going viral after posting a video in which she says she was fired from a new job after being late on her first and second day for what she insists were good reasons.
TikTok user bigisrayy shared a video from the driver's seat of her car on Tuesday, July 21, in which she explained in the caption that she lost her job on her second day due to "a patten [sic] of 'absence ' that they thought was unprofessional and disrespectful."
In the video, she explained that she wanted to be "transparent" with her followers and revealed that she told her new employers that she'd have to be late on her first day because she had to go to the DMV to take care of a suspended license. She claimed, in a follow-up video shared a day later, that her uncle worked at the DMV, so she'd hoped it would be a speedy process, but her uncle was on vacation.
As a result, she showed up 30 minutes late on her first day, but claims she warned her employers she would be late and communicated with them on the day.
Things got tense the following shift when she showed up five minutes late. Rather than call ahead and warn them that she'd be late, she hoped she could simply apologize in person.

Texas A&M's No. 1-ranked 2027 recruiting class is all but complete, barring any last-minute flips, specifically focused on five-star cornerback Joshua Dobson, who is firmly committed to South Carolina but recently stated that his recruitment is "long from over," which provides an opening for the Aggies, especially if the Gamecocks struggle during the 2026 season.
Heading into the fall, third-year coach Mike Elko and his staff are focused on the season at hand, while a long list of priority prospects in the 2028 recruiting cycle are already on pace to announce their commitments, with blue-chip four-star quarterback Donald Tabron already receiving multiple predictions to become A&M's second commitment in its 2028 class.
Under Elko, Texas A&M has been in the running for nearly every top-ranked prospect, no matter the position, thanks to a strong culture and, yes, NIL advantage, and on Friday, it was revealed that 2028 five-star Edge Darieon Prescott is set to announce his commitment on Monday, July 27, and will choose between Notre Dame, Oregon, and Texas A&M.
Coming off his unofficial visit to College Station, Prescott has received a prediction from Rivals to land with the Fighting Irish, but it's important to note that early commitments are almost never set in stone, providing every contending program more than a year to make headway.
Standing 6'6" and 220 pounds, Prescott is your standard elite athlete with immense potential, whose length and bend off the edge provide whichever coaching staff is lucky enough to land him with NFL traits that should lead to a bright future at the next level. Prescott is currently positioned as Rivals' 24th-ranked prospect, 5th-ranked Edge, and 2nd-ranked prospect in Illinois.

Three total market index ETFs dominate the do-it-yourself investor's shortlist for whole-market US equity exposure: Vanguard Total Stock Market ETF (NYSEARCA:VTI), iShares Core S&P Total U.S. Stock Market ETF (NYSEARCA:ITOT), and Schwab U.S. Broad Market ETF (NYSEARCA:SCHB). All three charge 0.03% in annual expenses, hold thousands of US stocks, and post nearly identical trailing returns.
The one-year numbers cluster tightly: VTI at around 21%, ITOT at roughly 21%, and SCHB at about 21%. Over a 30-year holding period, small structural differences in index depth, tax treatment, and ecosystem fit start to matter, and picking the wrong container for the same underlying market can quietly cost meaningful compounded dollars.

VYM's high-yield strategy leads VIG 13% to 9% in 2026 year-to-date returns, but dividend growth ETFs have historically delivered stronger long-term total returns.

Don't wait: the ***** yst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just revealed his top 10 AI stocks. See the full list FREE now.
Many income investors ***** ume that the highest-yielding dividend ETF is automatically the better investment. However, that has not necessarily been the case in 2026. While high-yield strategies continue to attract investors seeking immediate income, dividend growth ETFs have historically delivered stronger long-term total returns by investing in companies with growing earnings, rising dividends, and high-quality fundamentals.
Two of the most popular ETFs representing these approaches are the Vanguard Dividend Appreciation ETF (NYSEARCA: VIG) and the Vanguard High Dividend Yield ETF (NYSEARCA: VYM). VIG prioritizes companies with long records of increasing dividends, while VYM focuses on stocks offering above-average current yields. For investors deciding between dividend growth vs. high yield, understanding the trade-offs between these two strategies may be more important than simply chasing the highest payout.

Scribe Therapeutics has raised close to $129 million in the first initial public offering for a developer of gene editing medicines in more than two years.
The startup on Thursday sold 8.58 million shares at $15 apiece, topping projections set earlier this week. Shares will begin trading Friday on the Nasdaq stock exchange under the ticker symbol "SCTX."
Biotech IPOs have been on an upswing in 2026. Including Scribe's offering, 14 companies have priced new stock issuances this year, already surpassing last year's anemic total and putting the sector on track to surpass the annual numbers logged between 2022 and 2024, according to BioPharma Dive data. Aside from Scribe, six more biotechs have revealed plans in July to go public, suggesting activity could pick up considerably in the weeks ahead.
Notably, most of the sector's recent IPOs have been unusually large. Prior to Scribe's, companies had been pulling in a median of over $300 million per offering in 2026, far higher than what's been observed in recent years, data show.

Bengen's 2025 research drops the safe withdrawal rate to 4.2% for a 50-year retirement, undercutting the standard 4% rule for anyone retiring at 55.
Retiring at 55 forces a full decade of self-funded healthcare before Medicare at 65, a cost the original 4% rule never accounted for.
BLS data shows household spending peaks between ages 45 and 54, meaning early retirees exit income at their highest-spending years, not during natural tapering.

The 4% withdrawal rule has been a fixture of retirement planning for three decades and for good reason. It is simple, intuitive, and, for the right retiree, it can and has worked well. The challenge is that it was never designed for someone who would stop working at 55.

La Liga giants Real Madrid have done a complete 180 on their stance on the potential signing of Manchester City star Rodri.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of some of the most reliable sources in the European media that Los Blancos are now actively working on a deal for the 30-year-old.
Bernabéu insider Mario Cortegana is one such source, with the Spaniard having revealed that the key factor in the wheels being set in motion is a complete change in stance on the part of Florentino Pérez and co.
As per The Athletic:
'Madrid sources had kept insisting this summer that Rodri was not part of their plans, but the club's stance has changed following his return from the World Cup, with the performance level he demonstrated and the role he played in Spain's triumph a factor in their decision to pursue him.'
