Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers gave fans a moment they won't stop replaying, and it had nothing to do with the final score.
Late in the second quarter of Thursday's Fever-Wings game, Clark was dribbling out the clock with Dallas holding a foul to give. Bueckers grabbed her arm to draw the whistle, and Clark clearly didn't appreciate it. She yanked away, fired the ball down the court near Bueckers, and stayed visibly frustrated as the two headed toward the tunnel.
Bueckers wasn't rattled. Cameras caught her looking at Clark and mouthing two words that instantly took over WNBA social media: "Calm down."
The line landed everywhere within minutes. Fans, podcasters and outlets all weighed in on who came out looking better in the exchange, and the reactions ranged from amused to pointed.
"Paige says 'calm down,' and she's absolutely right. Caitlin Clark has been weird as [expletive] lately with all the shenanigans and flailing and shouting at refs," one fan wrote on X.

An investigator revealed that Princess Diana would have been alive today if she had made a different choice. FOX's "Celebrity Crime Scene" used recreation technology to recreate the unfortunate Paris tunnel crash that ultimately claimed Diana's life on August 31, 1997. For those unversed, Diana was accompanied by her companion, Dodi Fayed, and their driver, Henri Paul, and she was only 36 years old at the time of her death.
Host and investigative crime journalist Jakson Buhaj, alongside British forensic psychologist Kerry Daynes and former U.S. Secret Service agent Rich Staropoli, revisited the tragic death on FOX's "Celebrity Crime Scene", special documentary.
Buhaj explained that had Diana done one thing differently, she might have possibly survived the fatal crash. He remarked: "It's very odd that no one was wearing a seat belt. You would think that [Dodi Fayed's bodyguard] Trevor Rees-Jones, who was sitting in the front seat directly ahead of Diana, would caution her that she should definitely put a seat belt on, considering the car is driving way over the speed limit. Yet no one thinks to do that."
Notably, three of the four people in the car, including Diana, passed away in the fatal car crash. Dodi Fayed's bodyguard, Rees-Jones, survived but suffered brutal injuries. There were rumors that Rees-Jones survived because he was wearing a seat belt. Investigators later revealed that wasn't the case. The official British inquiry concluded that none of the occupants in the car were wearing a seat belt when it crashed.
Buhaj continued to insist that wearing a seat belt would have saved the former Princess of Wales' life. "What I think is the most tragic thing about this is that, had everyone been wearing their seat belt, unfortunately, Henri Paul and Dodi Fayed probably would've passed away, but Diana most likely still would've been with us," he added.

The Houston Texans have plenty of food and drink options for the 70,000-plus fans that will be at each of their home games at Reliant Stadium, but very few will get to experience the luxury of the stadium's new exclusive area just steps away from the field.
Similar to what the Astros offer with the Diamond Club or the Rockets with their Lexus Lounge, the Texans are introducing the BMW Lone Star Ballroom and BMW M Club Blue.
The Texans took what was a storage area in the bowels of the stadium and turned it into a swanky lounge located at field level, below the stands, with a window looking out to the tunnel where the visiting team will run out onto the field before games.
That kind of access to the field and players is something that has been missing from the only building the Houston Texans have known since they began play in 2002.
"It's real important to us when we talk about delivering a world-class fan experience that we understand what other venues, other buildings are doing, not only in the state, not only in the country, but worldwide," Houston Texans team president Mike Tomon said. "I think we have seen a lot more segmentation to the different markets, meaning, do you have a unique experience for a certain type of fan? So, we see that as a trend and we see the want to get closer to the team and the game element as a trend as well."

Russell Westbrook, one of the NBA's biggest style icons and a catalyst for transforming the pregame tunnel into a fixture of the modern NBA, has retired.
Why not? That's the mantra that Russell Westbrook lived by in all aspects of his NBA career. When you saw him lift off for what seems like an improbable dunk or drive to the paint through a sea of defenders, why not? When he walked the pregame tunnel in a cream poncho with brown stripes and a pork pie hat that looks like he stole it from Walter White's closet, why not?
"It's how I live my life. It's how I operate. Whenever there's any type of indecision, I have an easy answer, and it's just strictly, 'Why not?'" Westbrook told Complex in a 2023 interview. "If I'm getting dressed, or designing, or trying to create pieces, and I don't love it right away, I'll just be like, ' f**k it. Why not? Let's just do it.'"
COMPLEX SHOP: Shop the brands you love, anytime and anywhere. Uncover what's next. Buy. Collect. Obsess.
When Westbrook's career started back in 2008, the late David Stern's strict NBA dress code was still in place. Players were required to wear suits to games, a decree largely believed to be brought about to curb another fashion icon, Allen Iverson, from wearing 4XL throwback jerseys and baggy sweatsuits. For the first four years, Westbrook stuck to the dress code. His biggest "risk" was a cardigan with gray stripes. But by 2012, he was finding his lane. He wasn't quiet in his "distressed band T-shirt and construction vests" era yet, but he was experimenting more. During the 2012 NBA Finals between the OKC Thunder and Miami Heat, he rocked a white Lacoste polo covered in colorful fishing lures and lensless red glasses. A year later, at All-Star Weekend, he spruced up a brown blazer and a gray/black striped tie with duck camo pants and a yellow belt to go with his "Tokyo" Air Jordan 5s. It barely matched, but it followed the dress code guidelines and stood out, especially since the rest of the league was still rocking more GQ-friendly fits of tailored suits and slim-fitting sweaters over ******* on-ups.

Bayern Munich have yet to update fans on the situation with Jamal Musiala after the playmaker appeared to faint towards the end of the 3-1 friendly win over RB Leipzig on Saturday.
The German double winners often post fitness updates the day after a match but are staying coy on Musiala, who has been battling back to fitness after a leg break just over a year ago.
"The most important thing is that he is fine," sporting director Max Eberl said long after the final whistle in the only official comment.
The heat in the Allianz Arena may have been a factor as Musiala fell to the turf late on in a game where he scored as a substitute, prompting worried team mates to quickly call for the team doctor.
There was a thumbs-up from the doctor while Musiala was able to leave the pitch himself and go down the tunnel stairs, but the 23-year-old still looked dazed.

Anniversaries carry a lot of weight. They feed into that buzzy voice that tells us we must commemorate the moment, and if we don't, we're somehow failing to appreciate the legacy for what it iso matter how big or small the number. And yet, I found myself inside Barclays Center for what felt like the 15th time since the start of the WNBA season, there to do exactly that: commemorate 30 years of the WNBA and the New York Liberty's legacy.
So much has changed since the league's beginnings. For one, the WNBA has gained major visibility within the world of women's sports. Players have signed multimillion-dollar contracts and, perhaps more importantly, have become brands and personalities of their own, existing far beyond the game itself.
On August 9, 2026, inside the industrial-like tunnel of Barclays Center, the Liberty commemorated 30 years of their legacy by inviting former players to walk the tunnel and, for the first time, experience a ritual that has become synonymous with the modern WNBA while also being honored during a halftime special.
The tunnel has become a spectacle of its own—a small breather, a moment of pageantry and personality before players step onto the court and start dribbling. But for many Liberty players from the last 20 years, that moment never existed. Until now.

Rayan Ghrieb surely must have been reminded of his own failed celebration when he saw this scene. During an away match at Berlin's Olympiastadion, the then-Magdeburg player jumped over the barrier and then fell into a 2.70-meter-deep trench. Fortunately, he was unhurt.
A similar scene has now also occurred in Brazil. During the match between Coritiba and Chapecoense (2-1), Coritiba captain Jacy scored in the 42nd minute. He grabbed the ball, jumped over the barrier, and suddenly disappeared. Right behind the barrier was the entrance to the players' tunnel.
Security staff immediately rushed to help. He was then treated by Coritiba's medical staff and initially continued playing, but had to be substituted at the start of the second half.
According to a report by 'Cazé TV,' the fall was the reason for the substitution. The center-back was later seen on the bench icing his ankle. "I'm fine," he said in an interview with the TV station after the final whistle. "We defenders don't score very often, but when it does happen, I guess I just got a little carried away."
To make matters worse, VAR intervened after the spectacular celebration and disallowed the goal for offside. A truly bitter day at the office for Jacy.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) — Buffalo Bills first-year coach Joe Brady used the team's first practice in its new $2.1 billion stadium to enjoy a brief father-son moment on Saturday night.
With fans beginning to file in, and rock music blaring over the state-of-the-art sound system, Brady emerged from the tunnel holding his 3-year-old son Jordan in his arm while enjoying a walk around the sideline.
As much as the first-year coach wanted to use the practice to simulate a game-day routine and get accustomed to the team's new surroundings, Brady couldn't help but work family into the equation.
"Those are the moments that I made sure I tried to take in," Brady said. "So when I say hey, I'm focused, let me just take a second to enjoy a special moment, because once the season goes, you know those are going to be few and far between."
Soon after, it was back to football for Brady, who at 36 is the NFL's youngest coach entering this season, and also for a Bills team that officially made the move across the street into its new digs.

CHICAGO — Leaning against the wall in a United Center tunnel Saturday afternoon, Sophie Cunningham reflected on the emerging truth of her existence: Sometimes she seeks the spotlight, and the rest of the time, the spotlight seeks her.
"Another day, another dollar, welcome to my life, boys and girls," the Indiana Fever guard declared.
It should surprise no one, of course, that Cunningham took a hard foul in a 90-86 win over the Chicago Sky and then elected to give as good as she got. The arm-to-the-neck she absorbed from the Sky's DiJonai Carrington on a first-quarter layup attempt, which resulted in Carrington's ejection, was just the start.
"From my point of view, I mean, clearly I think it was unnecessary," Cunningham said after the game. "I've never really spoken to her and have no beef with her. But I guess she has some pent-up stuff. So get your s— off. That's fine. I can take it."
Cunningham immediately popped up, pushed Carrington and was restrained by teammate Makalya Timpson while exchanging words. ("I'm not going to let anyone just do that to me, I think everyone knows that," Cunningham said.) Carrington was **** sed a Flagrant 2 foul, but Cunningham wasn't hit with a technical foul for the shove because officials "deemed her reaction to the severity of the contact to be acceptable," per a pool report distributed after the game.

Couto Pereira witnessed a hilarious episode this Saturday (8) involving center-back Jacy during the clash between Coritiba and Chapecoense.
The home team captain found the net from a set piece and, during the celebration, jumped over one of the advertising boards by the side of the pitch.
The problem is that right where he decided to do it, there is one of the stairways leading onto the field.
When he landed on the other side of the advertising board, Jacy went straight into the tunnel, causing concern among his teammates.
To make matters worse, the goal was later disallowed for offside.

CHICAGO — The ongoing Sophie Cunningham saga has another chapter.
The Indiana Fever guard took a shot to the face from Chicago Sky guard DiJonai Carrington during the first quarter Saturday at the United Center — a foul that resulted in a Flagrant 2 foul and ejection for Carrington, followed by an almost immediate rebuke on her social media account.
"WHITE PRIVILEGE," the post from Carrington's Threads account read, with the Indiana Fever tagged.
After an errant pass from the Sky's Elizabeth Williams, the Fever's Monique Billings collected the loose ball and threw ahead to a streaking Cunningham. On the shot attempt, Carrington's left arm connected with Cunningham's head and jaw, sending her to the floor.
Cunningham immediately popped up, and teammate Makayla Timpson had to separate her from Carrington. After a review, officials upgraded the common foul to a Flagrant 2 and sent Carrington to the locker room. On her way through the tunnel, Carrington grinned and shook her head as Sky fans gave her an ovation.

PHILADELPHIA — The atmosphere inside the Francis J. Myers Recreation Center on Thursday afternoon was nothing short of jubilant. Former Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown, who was traded to the rival Philadelphia 76ers in early July, selected the community venue as the site of his introductory press conference. The gym was packed and chatty, prominent members of Philadelphia's front office wore wide smiles, and dozens of kids already donned Brown jerseys in the Sixers' usual red, white, and blue colors.
A tunnel of people welcomed Brown and his family inside the building and there was loud applause when he took to the podium. The five-time All-Star didn't appear as ecstatic as many of the fans around him (it would've been hard to match that level of joy), but he had business to attend to. Brown had to welcome a new city while delivering a proper goodbye to his old stomping grounds.
"My tenure in Boston, 10 years is a perfect cycle, perfect number for completion," Brown stated. "We won a championship, and I have nothing but respect for the city of Boston. But now it's time to move forward a little bit."
Surrounded by family, Brown looked to be settling into his surroundings. The former longest-tenured Celtic has only spent his NBA years in Boston, and he wasn't exactly thrilled when he found out the Green Team was trading him to an in-division foe.
"When I first got traded, I just threw my phone across the room," Brown said, drawing lots of laughs.

Good news, Si Woo Kim. The Windsor tunnel wants to be friends, and make amends.
Kim made hilarious headlines earlier this week when he made a wrong turn and ended up in Canada prior to the start of the 2026 Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club.
Kim was planning to meet fellow Tour pro Michael Kim for a Korean barbecue dinner. But as it turns out, the name of the restaurant was a common one. It was called Daebak. There was one in the Detroit suburb of Southfield (right) and one in Windsor, Ontario (wrong).
Si Woo Kim was staying in downtown Detroit, so he typed the restaurant name into his GPS. The closest Daebak location was in Windsor, and without thinking, he started driving. He didn't realize something was wrong until he reached a toll gate. It was $9.
"Why is it so expensive?" Si Woo Kim said in an interview with Golf on CBS this week. "Oh, this is Canada."

Caitlin Clark keeps it casual with relaxed pregame look before Fever-Fire matchup originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Caitlin Clark kept things comfortable as she arrived for work Friday night. The Indiana Fever star stepped into the arena sporting a relaxed pregame look before her team's matchup against the Portland Fire. Indiana shared photos of Clark's arrival on social media with the simple message, "ready for friday night."
Clark appeared calm and comfortable as she made her way through the arena, choosing an understated outfit instead of one of the more elaborate ensembles frequently seen in the WNBA tunnel. The casual look immediately fit the mood of the Fever's post. There was no lengthy caption or dramatic introduction. Clark simply looked ready to get another important night started.
Clark's pregame appearances continue to attract attention regardless of what she wears. Some players use the tunnel as a runway, but the Fever guard has frequently mixed statement pieces with more practical and comfortable outfits. Friday's arrival landed firmly in the second category.
The post came as Indiana prepared to continue one of its strongest stretches of the season. The Fever entered the night with an 18-10 record and a four-game winning streak, placing them atop the Eastern Conference standings.

At the end of a tumultuous tenure, most rational Ohio State fans can agree that The Team Up North finally did something right when it hired Kyle Whittingham. The new head football coach is as classy as they come, and in the twilight of his career, he'll stabilize a program that has been riddled with controversy for the past several years. Buckeye Nation may dislike the guy because of the colors he'll wear on Saturday afternoons, but it would be a stretch to hate the man.
The new head coach at Michigan comes from a different era. One where you let your play on the field do the talking. An era where you played as hard as you could, and at the end of the game, you shake your opponent's hand after a hard-fought competition. No flag planting. No shoulder checks in the tunnel. No standing at midfield hoping for a brawl. Just respect for the game. And that's exactly what Whittingham brings to this next edition of the rivalry.
When asked about the hatred that has boiled over in recent years, Whittingham didn't hold back. It was a response that some fans on the fringe will scoff at, but a refreshing response for those of us who love the game and love this rivalry.
"I've learned how intense that rivalry is and how important the game is," Whittingham said at Big Ten media days. "Hate is a strong word, but I want to win that game as badly as anybody in Ann Arbor."
What an outstanding answer. This is what athletics was meant to be. Leave it all on the field and let the chips fall where they may.

Isabelle Harrison shows off chiseled abs in striking pregame look despite missing Tempo game originally appeared on The Sporting News. Add The Sporting News as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Isabelle Harrison was not available to help the Toronto Tempo on the court Thursday night, but that did not stop her from making a statement before the game.
Harrison showed off her chiseled abs in a striking pregame look ahead of Toronto's matchup against the Minnesota Lynx at Scotiabank Arena. Athlete Vanity shared photos of the 6-foot-5 forward's outfit shortly before the opening tip.
It was another eye-catching tunnel appearance from Harrison, who has been sidelined by soreness in her left knee. Toronto officially ruled her out approximately 15 minutes before Thursday's game after initially listing her as questionable. Although Harrison could not play, she still made sure to support her teammates while bringing plenty of personality to the arena.
Harrison has long been one of the WNBA's most fashionable players, and Thursday's appearance continued that trend. The 32-year-old confidently displayed her toned midsection in a pregame outfit that perfectly blended athleticism and style. Her visible abs immediately stood out as she arrived for the Tempo's home game.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Wednesday announced a $22.5 billion renovation of Washington Dulles International Airport that will end the use of the widely disliked "people movers," the mobile lounges that have been used for decades to shuttle travelers to and from the main terminal.
In place of the people movers, the airport will add a new U-shaped passenger train, a central walking tunnel, more moving walkways and new concourses. An above-ground parking garage closer to the main terminal with ****** e for 32,000 vehicles is also in the offing, according to Trump and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy.
The airport makeover would add to a long list of renovation projects the Republican president is pursuing to leave a lasting mark on the Washington region after his term ends in January 2029. Among other undertakings, he is building a new White House ballroom and wants to build a towering triumphal arch near the Lincoln Memorial.
But of all the construction projects Trump is pursuing, the renovations at Dulles could prove to be his most popular and benefit the greatest number of people. The airport, the area's primary international airport, served roughly 29 million passengers over the past year, according to the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority.
"This transformation is another step in our ongoing efforts to make Washington, D.C., safe and beautiful again," Trump said. "We're doing something with Dulles that's going to make it the top anywhere in the world."

Two new films featuring Sir Geoff Hurst and fans have been released to mark the 60th anniversary of England's World Cup victory in 1966.
Hurst's famous hat-trick in the 4-2 win against West Germany took place six decades ago on July 30 at Wembley Stadium.
Wembley has brought together the voices of people who were there, with Hurst, the only surviving member of the team, saying: "Coming up the tunnel that day, only a section of the crowd could see us, then 96,000 – that memory will always stay with me.
"I still meet people today who tell me exactly where they were on the day, either at the game, or on holiday all around the world. Getting married and guests not turning up, all the sort of stories you hear.
"Programmes still turn up, the original ones. Tickets from the game turn up at functions. People have kept them over the years and ****** p into to me at a show or theatre asking me to sign. It is quite remarkable."

Call it a B-spec, call it a heavily revised AMR26, call it whatever you want – what Aston Martin rolled out at the Hungaroring for the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix is, by any reasonable engineering standard, a new Formula 1 car. Sixteen separate components were declared upgraded, mechanics broke FIA curfew to get both cars fitted in time, and the team reportedly flew spare parts to Budapest just to guarantee Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll could each run the full package. That is not a development update. That is a rebuild.
The backstory is by now well-documented and not particularly flattering. Adrian Newey didn't get serious work underway on the AMR26 until mid-March 2025, and the wind tunnel didn't see a model until mid-April – three months behind rivals who were already deep into the new regulatory cycle. The car that arrived at pre-season testing in Barcelona was overweight, paddock insiders estimated by somewhere between 10 and 15 kilograms, maybe more, and the Honda power unit was generating vibrations severe enough to rattle onboard cameras loose and leave Alonso and Stroll visibly fighting the steering wheel.
At the Australian opener, Alonso qualified 2.462 seconds off the pace. Both cars retired when the vibrations damaged the battery systems. It went largely sideways from there – one point across the opening ten rounds, tenth of eleven teams in the constructors' standings, behind only the expansion Cadillac outfit.
The nose is the clearest sign of how deep the changes go. Where the original AMR26 carried a wide, blunt front structure, the Hungary version features a noticeably thinner, more tapered profile – the kind of slender nose Newey has favoured since his early Red Bull years. That change alone cascades through the entire front end: new uprights, revised aerodynamic ducting, changed actuator mounting, and a completely reworked front wing with reshaped endplates. Per Newey, the forward section of the chassis was lightened to the point that it required a full re-homologation and fresh crash testing – which, depending on your definition, crosses the threshold from upgrade to new car.
Newey himself occupies both sides of that argument simultaneously. "The main structural elements remain the same – the chassis and gearbox architecture don't fundamentally change – but we've taken weight out of both, which required re-homologating and crash testing the forward chassis," he said. So: same architecture, new crash test. Make of that what you will.

Sibeg Coca-Cola, the soft drinks giant's bottler in Sicily, is adding a new logistics facility to its base in Catania.
The company has touted the benefits of automation at the new warehouse, where building has started.
In a statement, Sibeg Coca-Cola, which held an event today (7 July) to mark the start of the project, said the facility would "increase operational efficiency, optimise the management of logistics and support volume growth".
The bottler is spending €51m ($58.3m) to build a warehouse for the automated storage of goods, with a capacity of around 43,000 pallets. It will be connected to the existing plant at the Catania site through an elevated tunnel.
Sibeg Coca-Cola said the warehouse would automate the flow of raw materials to the bottling plant's production lines and then move finished products back towards storage and loading ports.

The Indiana Fever have made a habit of turning pregame arrivals into must-see moments, and Wednesday night's stop in Los Angeles was no exception. Before taking the floor against the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena, Sophie Cunningham and Lexie Hull led another stylish Fever entrance that immediately caught fans' attention on social media.
The team's official account summed it up with a simple caption: "West Coast walkin'." Standing outside Crypto.com Arena with the arena's digital board displaying "Los Angeles Sparks vs. Indiana Fever," the Fever players looked ready for both the cameras and the nationally televised matchup.
Cunningham once again proved why she has become one of the WNBA's most talked-about tunnel fashion stars. The veteran guard opted for an all-black outfit that featured a fitted sleeveless top paired with matching black pants and coordinating accessories. The monochromatic look delivered a polished, understated style that stood out without relying on bold colors.
Over the course of the season, Cunningham has consistently drawn praise for her pregame fashion choices, and Wednesday's look continued that trend as Indiana arrived on the West Coast riding a two-game winning streak. The Fever guard has also been playing some of her best basketball of the season. She enters Wednesday averaging 9.5 points while shooting an impressive 42.9% from three-point range, giving Indiana another reliable perimeter scorer alongside Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell.

Azzi Fudd has been one of the most exciting rookies to watch this season. The No. 1 pick of the 2026 WNBA Draft also continues to turn heads off the court with her pregame outfits. She arrived at Barclays Center on Tuesday for the Dallas Wings-New York Liberty matchup and drew attention.
Fudd wore a white cropped sports bra style top under an oversized, light-wash denim jacket. She paired it with matching, loose-fitting denim jeans and completed her look with white sneakers.

Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium is less than two months away from fully reopening after two years of renovations.
Memphis officials took media members on a tour of the new West Tower at the stadium on July 7, unveiling some of the new suites and boxes that are still expected to be completed before the Tigers host Arkansas State on Sept. 5 in the home opener.
"We are a basketball school and a football school," athletic director Ed Scott said. "We are an everything school. And we want to win in everything. And this is a very clear indication of that."
The renovation cost $226.5 million and has impacted the last two football seasons, with the Tigers playing in a partially open stadium in 2024 and 2025. The new tower has different levels of suites and loge boxes as well.
The rest of the stadium has also undergone renovations, with new video boards and sound systems part of the plans as well. The work on the north tunnel is ongoing, but Scott said last month that he's still expecting that to be completed before the Arkansas State game.
