Matchday 27 continued this Saturday (12) with six more games.
After the "crazy" 3-3 draw between Coritiba and Athletico-PR in the opening match of the round last Friday (11), the "rain of goals" continued in the Brasileirão.
The day began with Atlético-MG's solid 3-1 win over Fluminense in Belo Horizonte.
Both the Minas Gerais side and the Rio de Janeiro team fielded reserve/mixed lineups because of their continental deciders next week.
Galo need to overturn a 2-0 deficit at home against Santos in the Conmebol Sudamericana quarter-finals, while the Laranjeiras Tricolor travel to Argentina to face Platense holding a 2-0 advantage in the Libertadores quarter-finals.

The access tunnel to the visiting team's locker room at Couto Pereira claimed another "victim" on the 8th, when defender Jacy fell there after celebrating a goal that would later be disallowed.
And would you believe that the situation turned into advertising?
Coritiba played at home again last Sunday (23), when they beat Corinthians 2-1.
And even made some "extra" cash thanks to an initiative that was a hit on social media.
Taking advantage of the name of the chocolate brand BIS, owned by Mondelēz, the advertising agency David created the sign "Warning: the aBISs" to alert possible new distracted players.

Last Thursday (20), Corinthians beat Rosario Central 1-0 at Neo Química Arena and secured a place in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Conmebol Libertadores.
Even before the match started, Argentinians and Corinthians fans put on a beautiful show in the stands, singing in support of their teams.
But even Los Canallas' "hinchas" were impressed by the Fiel Torcida.
In videos circulating on social media, Rosario Central fans stop singing after being drowned out by the explosion coming from the black-and-white side with the "poropopó."

Coach Dorival Júnior spoke at a press conference after the 1-1 draw with Coritiba at MorumBIS in São Paulo (SP), in a match valid for the 23rd round of the 2026 Brazilian Championship.
"It's frustrating because, from one play, we ended up losing the chance for a win. And this is something that has been happening repeatedly in several matches. It's what we've been focusing on and working on the most, but set pieces have been taking away a real chance for us to be in a much better position in the league," the coach said.
"We owe our fans because of what we tried to do in the first half, playing practically the entire time in the opponent's half. But, once again, we lacked the most important thing, which is making the decisive play and finishing the job," he added.
Dorival also commented on the fans' presence at the stadium.
"The fans did their part, and they did it very well. Once again, we fell short. The responsibility is ours. Today our goalkeeper practically didn't have to make a save, so we had the obligation to try something different so that we could end the match with a win," he concluded.

After a 1-1 draw with Coritiba this Saturday (15) at MorumBIS, in a match valid for the 23rd round of the Brasileirão, defensive midfielder Pablo Maia spoke in the mixed zone.
"It's hard to talk. I think we have to be more focused throughout the whole game, not just for part of it. I think we have to stay alert, stay focused, and give our best every single minute. We had a first half in which we managed to impose what the coach told us to do. So I think we have to work on this point of concentration from the beginning to the end of the game," he said.
The player also praised the fans' support and asked them to show up for the match against Bolívar-BOL next Tuesday (18) in the CONMEBOL Sudamericana.
"Starting tomorrow, we have to switch gears because we have a very important game on Tuesday, here at MorumBIS, with the support of our fans. Today they supported us, and I hope they support us again on Tuesday so that we can give our best together with them," he concluded.
Tricolor's next challenge will be against Bolívar-BOL on Tuesday (18) at 9:30 p.m., once again at MorumBIS, in the second leg of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana round of 16. In the Brasileirão, São Paulo return to the field against Chapecoense on Sunday (23) at 6:30 p.m. at Arena Condá, in Chapecó (SC).

Rayan Ghrieb surely must have been reminded of his own failed celebration when he saw this scene. During an away match at Berlin's Olympiastadion, the then-Magdeburg player jumped over the barrier and then fell into a 2.70-meter-deep trench. Fortunately, he was unhurt.
A similar scene has now also occurred in Brazil. During the match between Coritiba and Chapecoense (2-1), Coritiba captain Jacy scored in the 42nd minute. He grabbed the ball, jumped over the barrier, and suddenly disappeared. Right behind the barrier was the entrance to the players' tunnel.
Security staff immediately rushed to help. He was then treated by Coritiba's medical staff and initially continued playing, but had to be substituted at the start of the second half.
According to a report by 'Cazé TV,' the fall was the reason for the substitution. The center-back was later seen on the bench icing his ankle. "I'm fine," he said in an interview with the TV station after the final whistle. "We defenders don't score very often, but when it does happen, I guess I just got a little carried away."
To make matters worse, VAR intervened after the spectacular celebration and disallowed the goal for offside. A truly bitter day at the office for Jacy.

Couto Pereira witnessed a hilarious episode this Saturday (8) involving center-back Jacy during the clash between Coritiba and Chapecoense.
The home team captain found the net from a set piece and, during the celebration, jumped over one of the advertising boards by the side of the pitch.
The problem is that right where he decided to do it, there is one of the stairways leading onto the field.
When he landed on the other side of the advertising board, Jacy went straight into the tunnel, causing concern among his teammates.
To make matters worse, the goal was later disallowed for offside.

Reports in Brazil claim that Milan sent scouts to view Flamengo midfielder Evertton Araujo, planning a possible offer worth €15m next month.
The Rossoneri are one of several clubs keeping an eye on the situation, but Coluna Do Fla maintain that they are the most active, sending someone to watch him in action against Coritiba at the Maracana on Saturday.
Now that they have a new coach in Ruben Amorim and have decided on a different structure for their transfer team, they can begin planning for the next season.
