Suárez describes the negotiations as fast-moving, and Villa want to sign the player "immediately." He claims that a transfer could be done "in the next few hours," which in reality means "sometime in the next few days."
Ruggeri had an uneven debut season in Madrid after Atleti signed him from Atalanta last year. After a difficult start, he found form in January and ended the season with seven ****** ists across 47 appearances in all competitions. Life under new manager Dino Toppmöller has got off to a good start for RC Lens, after the club won the second annual Como Cup yesterday evening by defeating Villarreal 3-1. Lens needed to come from behind after Ayoze Pérez opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Goals from Matthieu Udol, Florian Thauvin, and Rayan Fofana meant that Lens would end the preseason tournament unbeaten.
In the first game of the Como Cup, Lens came up against former manager Pierre Sage, who left them this summer to join Crystal Palace. There was more than a hint of revenge to the way Les Sang et Or dispatched the Premier League side over the course of the 45-minute game, scoring three unanswered goals. In their next and penultimate game, Lens were held to a 0-0 draw by Portuguese side Famalicão.
Lens have two more friendlies scheduled, with a match against Trophée 1906 and Sunderland; after that, they will then take part in France's curtain-raiser on the 16th of August, when they play Paris Saint-Germain in the Trophée des Champions.

Hampton joined Chelsea from Aston Villa in 2023, and has gone on to cement herself as both Chelsea and England's first choice goalkeeper.

Real Madrid believe that a deal can be done imminently, although they may need to raise their offer if they are to convince Man City to sell this summer. Despite already having an agreement on personal terms in place with the former Atletico Madrid and Villarreal midfielder, they have been quoted €80m to get a deal done now, whereas they are presently only willing to pay €50-60m.
It will be interesting to see how the Rodri situation develops over the coming weeks. Real Madrid will hope that Man City relax their stance sooner rather than later, knowing that they are unlikely to be able to agree a new contract with the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner.

Salma Paralluelo, a World Cup winner at three age levels, has joined Lyon from Barcelona, the French women's football champions announced on Saturday.
Barcelona had already said that the 22-year-old, whose contract expired in June, would be leaving.
Paralluelo joined Barcelona from Villarreal in 2022 and has won the Spanish league four times, and the Spanish Copa de la Reina and the European Champions League three times each. In 131 appearances for the Catalan club she scored 72 goals.
