Hull City are among the clubs tracking Manor Solomon as Tottenham continue to reshape their squad before the Premier League season begins. According to I News, Spurs still expect several departures in the closing stages of the window, and Solomon is one of the names moving towards the front of that queue.
The 27-year-old has had pre-season minutes under Roberto De Zerbi, yet the wider picture appears clear. He is not part of the plans for 2026-27 and Tottenham are open to a deal. West Ham are described as the current frontrunners, although Hull City have registered interest and are watching developments closely.
Photo IMAGO
Tottenham's valuation is around £20m, with early bids potentially landing anywhere between £10m and £20m. That range leaves room for movement and makes this one worth following, especially for Championship clubs ******* sing whether there is a structure that could work.
Solomon joined Spurs on a free transfer from Fulham in 2023 but has struggled to establish himself in north London. He has made only five senior appearances for the club and has since taken in loan spells at Leeds United, Villarreal and Fiorentina. There were moments when a route back looked possible, but another temporary exit followed and the expectation now is for a permanent move.

Per reports in Spain and England on Tuesday, Aston Villa are interested in bringing Matteo Ruggeri to the Premier League, and the Atlético de Madrid left-back is contemplating whether to accept an offer from the Birmingham-based club or hold out for a return to Serie A.
First advanced by Isaac Suárez in Marca, Aston Villa's interest in Ruggeri comes two weeks after the player's agent declared that his client was going nowhere this summer, even after Atlético completed the signing of Spain international Alejandro Grimaldo from Bayer Leverkusen. Tullio Tinti and Manuel Montipó, Ruggeri's representatives, were present Tuesday at Atleti's training session in Majadahonda, where the 24-year-old worked with the substitutes and Madrileño players instead of the starting team.
Suárez describes the negotiations as fast-moving, and Villa want to sign the player "immediately." He claims that a transfer could be done "in the next few hours," which in reality means "sometime in the next few days."
Ruggeri had an uneven debut season in Madrid after Atleti signed him from Atalanta last year. After a difficult start, he found form in January and ended the season with seven ****** ists across 47 appearances in all competitions. But according to The Athletic's Jacob Tanswell, Ruggeri first the "physical profile of left-back" that Villa manager Unai Emery wants, as veteran Lucas Digne is set to join Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days. Emery's preferred target reportedly is Milan's Pervis Estupiñán, but negotiations for his former Villarreal pupil have not progressed.
It is not yet known how much money Villa are offering to sign Ruggeri. But seeing as he has four years left on his contract and was signed initially for around €20 million, the chances are good that Atlético will turn a profit by selling Ruggeri to England. With Grimaldo soon to join following his post-World Cup holiday, the club views Ruggeri's sale as necessary to make further additions to the team — including the much-desired signing of a center-back.

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, according to the Daily Mail.
Spurs are aiming to strengthen their attack this summer. Only seven teams scored fewer Premier League goals than the north London side last season.
They have also been linked with Bournemouth's Eli Junior Kroupi, but a move now appears unlikely following the injury to the young French striker.
Tottenham have now added Jackson to their shortlist, with sporting director Johan Lange understood to be a long-term admirer of the Chelsea forward.
Tottenham face competition from Aston Villa for Jackson's signature. Villa manager Unai Emery worked with the striker at Villarreal.

Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson, rivalling Premier League counterparts Aston Villa, according to the Daily Mail. Xabi Alonso, Unai Emery and Roberto De Zerbi are at Stamford Bridge, Villa Park and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, respectively.
Stamford Bridge executives have placed a £65m price tag on the 25-year-old forward, who spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich.
Spurs have prioritised strengthening their attack in the closing weeks of the summer window, having already reinforced other areas. The North Londoners have now turned to Jackson despite their interest in Cody Gakpo, who is currently not for sale by Liverpool.
Spurs will face stiff competition from Aston Villa, where manager Unai Emery is leading efforts to reunite with Jackson. Emery previously coached the striker at Villarreal and values his direct running, pressing energy, and versatility as ideal qualities to strengthen Villa's forward rotation alongside Ollie Watkins. Villa have already held preliminary talks with Jackson's representatives following Morgan Rogers' departure.
From Chelsea's perspective, the Blues are open to sanctioning a deal if their £65m threshold is met. Jackson scored 11 goals in 34 matches across all competitions last season, but returns to Stamford Bridge facing intense competition for places following the arrivals of Danny Welbeck and Emegha, adding to a striker group that already includes Joao Pedro, Liam Delap, and Marc Guiu. With Chelsea aiming to streamline their squad and generate transfer capital, a permanent departure remains a strong possibility.

Life under new manager Dino Toppmöller has got off to a good start for RC Lens, after the club won the second annual Como Cup yesterday evening by defeating Villarreal 3-1. Lens needed to come from behind after Ayoze Pérez opened the scoring in the 4th minute. Goals from Matthieu Udol, Florian Thauvin, and Rayan Fofana meant that Lens would end the preseason tournament unbeaten.
In the first game of the Como Cup, Lens came up against former manager Pierre Sage, who left them this summer to join Crystal Palace. There was more than a hint of revenge to the way Les Sang et Or dispatched the Premier League side over the course of the 45-minute game, scoring three unanswered goals. In their next and penultimate game, Lens were held to a 0-0 draw by Portuguese side Famalicão.
Lens have two more friendlies scheduled, with a match against Trophée 1906 and Sunderland; after that, they will then take part in France's curtain-raiser on the 16th of August, when they play Paris Saint-Germain in the Trophée des Champions.

The Mali international was with the Lens squad in Italy as they participated in the Como Cup, albeit he was not involved in the two matches on Tuesday. He'll also no longer be available for the friendly against Villarreal on Saturday, as he has travelled to Paris ahead of the transfer to the Premier League side being finalised.
The midfielder, who arrived last summer on a €5m plus €3m in bonuses move from Austrian side Rapid Vienna, is set to break transfer records for both Lens and Brentford in a reported €48m transfer. He'll be Lens's biggest ever sale and Brentford's largest ever purchase.
In his sole season in the north of France, Sangaré was one of the standout performers, helping Lens win their maiden Coupe de France and secure automatic qualification to the UEFA Champions League after running Paris Saint-Germain close to the ******* le.

Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jörgensen (24) could be on his way to join BlueCo-owned Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg, as reported by Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace. The Denmark international could be the third Chelsea goalkeeper to join the Alsatians in three seasons, following in the footsteps of Djordje Petrovic and Mike Penders. The outlet understands that Jörgensen is expected to link up with Strasbourg in the next hours after initial talks with Strasbourg head coach Hugo Oliveira.
Oliveira, a former goalkeeping coach turned manager, emphasised the importance of a goalkeeper being heavily involved in build-up play. Jörgensen joined Chelsea from Villarreal two years ago. Those last campaigns, he was mainly Robert Sanchez's understudy at Stamford Bridge. The Sweden-born Denmark international featured 36 times for Chelsea in all competitions.
Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace understands that a loan move is in the works, but no agreement has been reached yet.

Real Madrid are hoping to complete a blockbuster double transfer in the next few days, as they aim to finalise Jose Mourinho's squad ahead of the 2026-27 La Liga season getting underway in a few weeks' time. A deal for Yan Diomande in close, and following him to the Bernabeu could be Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri.
In recent weeks, Real Madrid have turned their attention back to Rodri. They were priced out of a move for leading target Enzo Fernandez, but that could work in their favour as they are closing in on signing one of the world's best midfielders, as well as the recipient of the 2026 World Cup Golden Ball.
Previously, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez had ruled out signing Rodri as retribution for election rival Enrique Riquelme promising to bring the 30-year-old to the Bernabeu, but he's since changed his tune. As per Ramon Alvarez de Mon, he's gave the go-ahead last week for a move to be made for the Man City man, who should be available on a cut-price deal due to being in the final 12 months of his current contract.
Real Madrid believe that a deal can be done imminently, although they may need to raise their offer if they are to convince Man City to sell this summer. Despite already having an agreement on personal terms in place with the former Atletico Madrid and Villarreal midfielder, they have been quoted €80m to get a deal done now, whereas they are presently only willing to pay €50-60m.
It will be interesting to see how the Rodri situation develops over the coming weeks. Real Madrid will hope that Man City relax their stance sooner rather than later, knowing that they are unlikely to be able to agree a new contract with the 2024 Ballon d'Or winner.

Aston Villa remain interested in signing Nicolas Jackson from Chelsea, but a loan deal for the forward is not an option.
Unai Emery is open to a reunion with Jackson having worked with the Senegalese striker at former club Villarreal.
Any move for Jackson would need to be a permanent transfer, however, following Aston Villa's signing of Alejandro Garnacho from Chelsea earlier this month.
Premier League rules dictate that clubs can only have a maximum of one player on loan from the same Premier League club, with Garnacho fulfilling that quota from Chelsea.
Jackson spent the 2025/26 season on loan at Bayern Munich and scored 11 goals in 34 games as the German side won a domestic double.

With Maarten Vandevoordt considered the new Number 1 going into the 2026-27 season, Peter Gulacsi is planning his RB Leipzig exit.
According to Fabrizio Romano's sources, the 36-year-old goalkeeper is closing in on a transfer to La Liga outfit Villarreal CF.
Negotiations between the clubs are said to be in full swing, with Villarreal reportedly almost in agreement with the Hungarian international.
If the deal goes through as expected, Gulácsi will leave Leipzig after 362 competitive appearances and one DFB Pokal victory.
It's quite possible that RB will bring in a similarly experienced alternative who would be content with a place on the bench.

Alfonso Pedraza held his first press conference as a Lazio player, insisting that the club should aim to return to European competitions.
The 30-year-old is a left-back who had been on Villarreal's books since the start of his career, before opting to see out his contract and embark on a new experience. The Spaniard has been betrothed to Lazio since February, when he signed a pre-contract agreement.
Although he's been training alongside his new teammates over the past 10 days, the Biancocelesti have finally unveiled their first summer signing to the press on Thursday. Pedraza began by expressing his delight at joining the Biancocelesti, ensuring that the transition has been rather smooth (via La Lazio Siamo Noi).
I'm very happy to join the Lazio family. From the very beginning, it was clear to me that this was the right choice. I'm delighted to be here and can't wait to get started.
The squad has welcomed me really well. I've found a great group of people. Italy and Spain are very similar, so settling in has been quite straightforward.

Grêmio remains active in the transfer market with a clear objective: to find a playmaking midfielder.
In addition to looking for a right-back and a left-footed center-back, the board sees the arrival of a genuine "number 10" as the top priority, even knowing it is the most competitive and expensive position in today's market.
According to ge, this search is happening alongside the imminent departure of young Gabriel Mec.
The Tricolor gem has been drawing frequent interest from European clubs (such as Shakhtar Donetsk and Villarreal in the first half of the year), and negotiations are expected to heat up from July 20, with the official opening of the international transfer window.
However, the coaching staff stresses that signing a new midfielder has long been a priority, regardless of whether the youngster is sold or not.

Lazio left-back Luca Pellegrini could end up in the Premier League, with Hull City and Ipswich Town among his suitors.
The 27-year-old is a childhood Lazio supporter who realized his dream by joining his beloved club in January 2023. This season, he finally had a run in the starting lineup, with Maurizio Sarri dropping Nuno Tavares to the bench. However, the Portuguese ended up recovering his place in the starting XI towards the end of the season, so Pellegrini found himself on the bench again.
With only one year left on his contract, the Roman is expected to be sold this summer, especially following the arrival of Alfonso Pedraza, who completed a free transfer from Villarreal.
According to La Repubblica (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Pellegrini has several admirers on the market, especially outside Italy. The newspaper reveals interest from the newly promoted Premier League duo of Hull City and Ipswich Town. In Spain, the left-back is well-liked by Espanyol and Celta Vigo.
Pellegrini was previously linked with Serie A sides, but Como had already signed a new left-back in Kaiki, while others would struggle to match his salary (circa €1.5 million per year). The Italian full-back made 90 appearances for Lazio in total, producing seven **** ists and only two goals, but he arguably scored the club’s best goal of the previous campaign

In a recent report, journalist Harry Watkinson claimed that Sunderland are among the clubs hoping to land Villarreal midfielder Pape Gueye. It has been mentioned that the Black Cats would have to rival Everton, Crystal Palace and Brighton and Hove Albion in the race to land the Senegalese talent in this transfer window.
Gueye was an important member of Villarreal’s squad in the previous campaign when he produced a series of impressive displays for them in the middle of the park. The 27-year-old scored five goals and earned a couple of ***** ists in 39 matches for the Spanish outfit last season across all competitions.
The Senegalese sensation is currently among the most talented midfielders in La Liga. Hence, Sunderland would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting him later this year.
His current contract at the Spanish club will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Black Cats to sign him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

Arijon Ibrahimović is set to sign a new contract with Bayern Munich, according to reports from Transfermarkt. The 20-year-old attacking midfielder is expected to put pen to paper next week after deciding to continue his development at the German champions.
The report states that Ibrahimović's current deal, which runs until 2027 with an option for a further year, will be replaced by a new contract running until 2028.
The decision comes despite significant interest in the Germany Under-21 international following his productive loan spell at Heidenheim. Clubs including Werder Bremen, Hamburger SV, Freiburg, Augsburg, Villarreal, Brighton & Hove Albion and Hull City were all reportedly monitoring his situation.
According to Transfermarkt, the decisive factor was a series of positive and trusting conversations with Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany. The Belgian is said to have outlined a clear sporting perspective for Ibrahimović, convincing the youngster that his future lies in Munich.
Ibrahimović also strengthened his case during the closing weeks of last season. His standout display against Bayern in Heidenheim's dramatic 3-3 draw at the Allianz Arena, where he registered a goal contribution, reportedly reinforced the club's desire to keep him. He followed that performance with another two goal contributions against Köln a week later.

African football is reeling after Senegal’s shock elimination from the World Cup. Villarreal midfielder Papé Gueye, one of the squad’s standout players, set off a media bombshell by announcing his temporary resignation from the national team through a forceful message on social media.
Through his Instagram account, the midfielder was unequivocal in making his future with the "Lions of Teranga" conditional on the current manager remaining in charge.

This drastic decision exposes a deep internal rift in the Senegal dressing room after the World Cup failure against Belgium, where they were leading 2–0 and ended up losing in extra time.

The player turns 23 in August and came up through their youth academy, so any sale would represent practically pure profit.
The Bianconeri need to make a big sale by June 30 to balance the books, especially after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
