PSG have built a great reputation for their uber fashionable kits. But they've blown this one, at least in our opinion.
If you enjoy PSG Talk coverage and want to see more of it, add us as a preferred source on Google to make us a favourite and see more of our content.
PSG's season is already well underway in multiple competitions, but they're only now about to reveal their third kit for this season.
It's black, with red trim and details, plus a sort of blue-green vertical stripe down the middle in an ugly watery effect.
It is, let's face it, absolutely hideous. Football fans (and in fact fashion fans in general) will always try to convince themselves that anything released by a "cool" institution like PSG is actually good. But this is just plain ugly. We usually say you have to wait and see the kit on the payers before you judge it – in this case, it's hard to see us convincing us.

The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs are debuting all-white uniforms against the Western Ketnucky Hilltoppers. Georgia will wear white pants, white jerseys and white helmets for the first time in school history.
Georgia has worn alternate uniforms four times during the coach Kirby Smart era. The Dawgs are 4-0. Georgia still traditionally wears a white or red jersey along with silver britches and a red helmet.
The Bulldogs wore black jerseys in a 2016 home win (35-21) over Louisiana Lafayette. In Georgia's last road trip to Arkansas, back in 2020 quarterback Stetson Bennett saved the day after a slow start. Georgia wore red pants and slightly altered white uniforms in the 37-10 win.
In 2020, Georgia also wore black jerseys at home in the Bulldogs' 31-24 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs in a game where JT Daniels passed for over 400 yards. Georgia wore the same black jerseys, which have a red Dawg collar, in Georgia's last-second 24-21 Peach Bowl win over Cincinnati.
Of course, Georgia's most memorable alternate jersey game is when the Bulldogs beat Auburn at home in 2007 with black jerseys. Georgia will look to move to 5-0 in alternate uniforms under coach Smart on Saturday, Sept. 12 against Western Kentucky at 12:45 p.m. ET.

It's not the first time, nor will it be the last. This past Saturday, College GameDay devoted a segment to the upcoming vote on the Protect College Sports Act this week in Congress. Regardless of your political leanings, a college football pregame show devoted time at the official kickoff of the season to publicly support national legislation with no representation of the opposing view.
Is this the new normal? Is this the expectation moving forward? Without question, college football needs some sort of reform. But is this act the fix? And should it be debated on a college football pregame show to kick off a new season of Saturdays in the fall? If Saturday was an example, where was the debate? There was none.
I'm not naive enough to believe sports and politics have never mixed on sports television programming. I've always argued that if there is a direct connection between sports and a political debate, then engage. But engage properly. Except, Saturday provided a moment where the intersection was direct. However, the forum was not open to the other side.
Instead, this was lobbying. Not discussion. This was advocacy, not debate.
Yes, Nick Saban is a staunch supporter of the act proposed in Congress. In fact, he testified before a Senate committee in support of the bill and appears in a commercial supporting it. Yes, Pat McAfee is also a supporter of the act. He's said as much on his daily sports talk program.

Los Angeles Rams DE Aaron Donald's new contract will pay him a base salary of $10 million for the 2026 season, another $10 million in roster bonuses and an additional $10 million based on playoff incentives and playing time, the latter of which should be easily achievable even if he is part of a rotation. Donald had been slated to receive $30 million during the final year of his old contract but that number was reduced to the league minimum for salary cap reasons when he retired in March 2024.

Routine save from a Bloxham shot on the right (Reading's left) in the 64th minute. Unable to do anything about the Blackpool goal in the 80th minute.
Didn't really have much to do this game (reference the notes above), which is a massive positive for us, despite conceding for the first time in three games. A far cry from earlier in the season.
Blackpool mostly attacked down Reading's left today, so didn't find himself with a lot of work to do and didn't get forward as often.
Overall, a pretty quiet day at the office for Dokes. Two notable moments were when he worked well to block off a Blackpool break in the 24th minute with Paudie O'Connor (good) but lost possession with a heavy touch in the middle of the park in the 79th minute (bad) that almost led to a Blackpool counter.
Better today, a much more solid performance. He made a number of good headed clearances in the first half of the first half and also combined well with Dokes to block off a Blackpool break in the 24th minute, being smart to stay on his feet and not diving in.

NASCAR legend Kurt Busch recently joined CNN anchor Anderson Cooper on his podcast, All There Is, which explores themes of loss and grief. They spoke for nearly 30 minutes about his brother Kyle -- the winningest driver in NASCAR national series history -- who died tragically at the age of 41 earlier this year.
It was an emotional interview, with Kurt struggling to hold back tears as he remembered racing with his brother, the sudden nature of his passing, and dealing with the grief that followed.
At the start of the conversation, Kurt talked about paving a way for Kyle as the older brother, and despite being over six years older, "everything I did, he (Kyle) wanted to do, just as good (and) at the same time."
Kyle and Kurt Busch at NASCAR Hall of Fame, January 2026
Kurt ran his first full-time Cup season in 2001, with Kyle following suit just four years.

Editor's note: This piece was written before Reading's 5-0 win over Mansfield Town on September 2.
Welcome to September, everyone! The beginning of the end, if you are a sunshine-inclined individual such as I am. However, it's not all bad news: we have some actual football to talk about!
Unlike June and July (and most definitely May), some things actually happened in August. Actually, quite a lot of things: football, transfers, stadium changes, new kits and other bits and pieces for us to mull over and this writer to provide immediate, ill-informed opinions on: the knee-jerk reactions for August. On we go!
Let's start with this shall we? The final pre-season game of the season – which feels like an eternity ago now – was against Charlton Athletic on August 1 and Reading secured a really respective 3-0 win, leaving fans optimistic that we could start the season well and finally see some consistent attacking play that wasn't dependent on Jack Marriott scoring impossible goals every week.
…right. About that. With only two league games played in August (one loss and one draw) and three cup games (two draws that both led to penalty shoot-out wins, and then a win within 90 minutes at the fifth time of asking against Stevenage) the jury was still very much out.

Alex Scott is poised to become next summer's most coveted ****** et — after AFC Bournemouth blocked his exit during this transfer window.
Chelsea made a last-ditch attempt to secure the Bournemouth midfielder, having already seen a £64 million ($86.7 million) offer rejected earlier in the summer.
The Blues identified the 23-year-old Scott as their top priority to fill the void left by Enzo Fernandez, but Bournemouth stood firm in their resolve not to part with any of their prized players, as per The Mirror.

Serena Williams' return to tennis hasn't resulted in many wins. Though she's had some doubles success, Williams' big return to singles ended in disappointment, as she was eliminated at the first round at Wimbledon.
Despite that, Williams had a choice to return to singles play at the 2026 U.S. Open, but opted to pass on that opportunity. Instead, she'll play doubles with her sister Venus at the event.
But that doesn't mean Serena has completely given up on her singles career. She told GMA on Monday that she feels like she needs to return to the court for at least one more singles match.
When asked, Williams said, "I'll probably play again. I have to. After some of those returns, I think I need to play."
She added, "I think I will. But this isn't something permanent, obviously. I just really want my children to see me play at a different age."

The Denver Broncos had a busy weekend.
Denver's front office made 38 moves over the last two days to get down to an initial 53-man roster.
"Every year is hard, regardless of your depth," general manager George Paton said on Sunday evening. "This is a tough day. It's always challenging. This year, I think we spent more time on this roster going through a lot of different scenarios with a lot of these players that were released. It's a puzzle. It's ongoing. Now we're building the practice squad, we're looking at the wire tonight, obviously. So it's fluid, and yet yes, this was a tough roster to make."
With that noted, here are six quick takeaways from Paton's post-cuts conference call.
1. Broncos injury report: Offensive lineman Nick Gargiulo was moved from the active/physically unable to perform list to the reserve/PUP list, and tight end Caleb Lohner and offensive tackle Frank Crum were placed on short-term injured reserve. All three players will be eligible to return after four games, but they might not all be ready that quickly. Paton roughly estimated Lohner could return in October.

Fulham travel to the Stadium of Light on Sunday looking for a first win under new head coach Alvaro Arbeloa, having lost the west London derby to Chelsea before beating AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup.
Arbeloa expects a stern test against "a European team" who "had a great season last year," but the Cottagers arrive with a strong recent record in this exact fixture, having lost just once in their last five visits.
Tom Cairney remains out following knee surgery, with the club not expecting him back until after the September international break. Luc De Fougerolles is a doubt after being forced off during Thursday's win over Wimbledon, with Arbeloa saying: "It's the same [as last week]. Tom, he is still injured. We will see with Luc, maybe he is not ready for Sunday." The club is hopeful the issue is "nothing serious" but is still ****** sing.
Joachim Andersen is back available having completed the three-match suspension carried over from last season, and is in line to start alongside Calvin Bassey at centre-back if De Fougerolles isn't risked. Gonzalo García, whose two goals in his first two appearances have made an immediate impression, continues to lead the line. Arbeloa said of the Real Madrid signing: "I've known him since he was 17, so I know his winning mentality, ambition and quality."
Fulham possible starting XI (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Bassey, Andersen, Robinson; Iwobi, Berge; Bobb, King, Palacios; García

Caroline Dubois coasted to victory over Amelia Moore to defend her WBC and WBO lightweight **** les and stay on course for a blockbuster meeting with unified super-featherweight champion Alycia Baumgardner in 2027.
Dubois dominated the fight at BP Pulse Arenain Birmingham and knocked Moore down in the fifth round but was unable to find the decisive blow against the dogged American.
The British fighter won on unanimous judges' decision, 99-90 99-90 98-91 ahead on the scorecards.
Dubois was heavy favourite for this fight and never looked less than in control, although her reliance on power and presence rather than speed ensured it went the distance to a long, inevitable conclusion.
She sent Moore to the canvas with a booming left in round five, but Moore got straight back up and was instead moved around the ring by Dubois like a cat playing with a mouse.

Kevin Durant has revealed a rather surprising new detail about his friendship with LeBron James, saying that the two NBA legends recorded approximately three rap songs during a trip to Akron more than a decade ago.
Durant made this revelation in a wide-ranging conversation with Speedy Morman on Boardroom Talks, and Morman asked if it was true that Durant and LeBron had recorded a song together. The Houston Rockets star revealed that they actually had three, and there was much more material.
Speedy Morman: "Is it true that you and LeBron have a song together?"
Kevin Durant: "We had like three songs, I think."
Speedy Morman: "For real? Are y'all recording them in person or, like, y'all sending the files?"

TWENTY-FOUR SERVICE ERRORS.
How did Marquette get to a fifth set against #2 Texas on Monday night at Fiserv Forum? The Longhorns handed Marquette 24 of their 93 points — 25.8%! — in the match by way of just completely whiffing on a serve, either long or into the net. Over and over and over and over again. Four in the first, eight in the second, four in the third, six in the fourth, including the point that tipped the match to a fifth set, and then two more in the final frame as well.
Honestly, it's amazing that the eight errors in the second didn't bite them in the ******* worse, as UT won that frame 25-19, nearly entirely because of a 7-0 run late in the frame. Turns out Marquette hitting -0.167 in the set with six errors against five kills was very bad for the Golden Eagles' chances of winning this match!
Here's what happened as Texas slipped past the Golden Eagles in the final match of the AVCA First Serve event:
First, Marquette got a 25-22 first set victory, largely because they turned 14-all into 19-14 and then held on from there.

Patriots Rookie QB Reveals Story Behind Surprise Punting Role originally appeared on NESN. Add NESN as a Preferred Source by clicking here.
Behren Morton entered Saturday night hoping to show the New England Patriots what he could do at quarterback. He ended up auditioning at two positions.
Morton replaced Tommy DeVito behind center in the second half of New England's 24-21 preseason victory over the Philadelphia Eagles at Gillette Stadium. The rookie also unexpectedly took over as the Patriots' punter after Bryce Baringer began feeling unwell.
Morton handled both jobs remarkably well.
The seventh-round pick completed 13 of 17 passes for 129 yards and a touchdown. He also punted three times for 133 yards, averaging 44.3 yards per attempt with a long of 48. It was the type of stat line rarely seen from an NFL quarterback, even during the unpredictable preseason.

Through a dozen preseason practices, Texas A&M's loaded wide receiver rotation is one of the team's biggest strengths heading into the 2026 season, even after losing KC Concepcion to the NFL, who led the Aggies with 919 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns last season. Now led by star junior Mario Craver, fellow junior and former five-star prospect Terry Bussey has shined during fall camp and could be headed toward a career year.
After the Aggies' closed practice on Friday, Bussey, for the first time during fall camp, spoke to the local media in attendance, discussing his weight gain, adding a solid 10 pounds, mostly muscle, to his frame, which was necessary given his injury history that kept in him behind the 8 ball after suffering an ankle injury this spring, and was beat up for most of the 2025 season.
Bussey's play during several preseason practices has provided Aggie fans and those of us in the media with a highlight reel of one-handed catches, while his route running has been crisp and equally impressive, and coach Mike Elko and first-year OC Holmon Wiggins, who served as A&M's wide receivers coach over the past two seasons, have consistently praised Bussey's football IQ.
Bussey's elite versatility provided Mike Elko the option for him to play at corner or wide receiver, and given the former blue-chip prospect's size and natural playmaking ability, playing receiver was the best route. Right now, Bussey is contending for the starting Z receiver job with redshirt sophomore Ashton Bethel-Roman, but is expected to be a significant part of each offensive game plan no matter his starting or reserve status.
Bussey spoke for nearly eight minutes, looking more confident than ever, while praising several of his wide receiver cohorts who continue to build chemistry with quarterback Marcel Reed, who is entering his second full starting season.

Florida football's new head coach Jon Sumrall has seen a great deal of success in his first two jobs, posting a 43-12 record evenly split over four years between Troy and Tulane. His latest gig in Gainesville will easily be the most challenging as he takes over a storied program that has experienced significant turmoil since Dan Mullen departed.
According to Sports Illustrated, the new Gators skipper is among the top 10 first-year coaches facing the most pressure entering the 2026 campaign. Sumrall checks in at No. 7 in the rankings, and author Patrick Andres explains why.
"If you want to single out a first-year coach with a schedule specifically set up to help them succeed, you could do much worse than Sumrall," he states. "After two years of breakneck slates under coach Billy Napier, Sumrall's Gators have navigable opening (Florida Atlantic, Campbell, Auburn) and closing (Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Florida State) stretches to dilute midseason tussles with Ole Miss, Texas, Georgia and Oklahoma. Florida still needs to find a quarterback, but if either Aaron Philo or Tramell Jones Jr. prove competent, fans could raise the bar for Year 1 immediately."
Over the past four years under Napier, the Orange and Blue accumulated a 22-23 record (and then 1-4 under interim HC Billy Gonzales), representing a brutal nadir for a program that went 33-15 under Mullen (plus a 1-1 record under interim HC Greg Knox) before him. The Gator Nation has suffered profusely this decade so far and is in dire need of some optimism after missing out on the postseason twice during that span.
There is no doubt that the pressure is all on Sumrall heading into fall.

DETROIT — It's grim for the Tigers, but it's not game over. Not yet.
The Tigers (61-66) have 35 games remaining on the schedule, starting Friday, Aug. 21, with the opener of a three-game road series against the Kansas City Royals.
The Tigers, coming off another crushing loss at the hands of a bullpen blowup, start play Friday five games back of the first-place Chicago White Sox in the American League Central. The Tigers are in fourth place in the division, just behind the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians. Detroit is 1.5 games back of the third and final wild-card spot in the AL, with several teams ahead of them to race down, and more teams behind them to fend off.
So, yes, grim — hence the long-shot odds they're facing to make the playoffs. According to FanGraphs, the Tigers odds of making the postseason for a third consecutive season are 14.8%. Their odds of winning the division are even longer, at 7.7%.
Those aren't the lowest odds they've faced this season. At May's end, when they were 22-38, they had just a 9.8% of making the playoffs and a 5.1% of winning the division.

Despite the Lakers being sold twice in the last year, the franchise cannot escape Buss family drama.
Not long after ESPN reported Monday that the Buss family will sell its remaining 17.8% stake in the Lakers to incoming majority owners Joshua Kushner and Bob Iger, CNBC published a letter from Jeanie Buss's lawyer arguing her siblings don't have the right to compel the family to exit.
Jeanie Buss has remained team governor since her family sold a majority stake to Mark Walter last year at a then-record $10 billion valuation. But according to ESPN, the Buss Family Trust decided "as a family" to sell its remaining shares, a move that would mean Jeanie Buss no longer holds the requisite-size stake to stay on as team governor (under NBA rules, the governor must own at least 15% of a franchise).
ESPN reported "at least" five of the six Buss siblings voted to exercise what are known as "tag-along" rights, which are meant to protect minority investors by allowing them to sell their interest in a franchise when control changes hands. At least four votes in favor were required, ESPN said.
"We love the Lakers, Laker fans and will continue to support Los Angeles; but it is time to use this opportunity to move on and exit gracefully while we still can," ESPN quoted the "Buss family" as saying.

One of the most polarizing figures in sports media is none other than ESPN's Stephen A. Smith. Depending on who you ask, there are plenty of reasons to either love or dislike Smith.
From his over-the-top television personality and controversial takes to, at times, uninformed ****** ysis, and political commentary, Smith draws viewers while also opening the door for controversy.
This week, Smith was voted for an award by the National ****** ociation of Black Journalists (NABJ). However, it was not a flattering award. According to multiple reports, Smith received the organization's "Thumbs Down" award.

Smith has established a recurring public pattern of disparaging commentary directed at prominent Black women across politics, sports, and media. Such commentary reinforces harmful narratives, undermines the fair and respectful representation of Black women in public discourse, and stands in direct conflict with NABJ's longstanding commitment to accurate, responsible, and inclusive portrayals of Black communities." the NABJ said in a statement.
