Michael Wilbon isn't ready to say ESPN's NFL reporting can't be trusted now that the league owns a piece of the network. But he's also not pretending the question is out of bounds, either.
Appearing on the Awful Announcing Podcast with host Brandon Contes, Wilbon was asked whether ESPN's NFL coverage still merits trust now that the league holds a 10 percent equity stake in the network.
"My answer to that philosophically is trust," he said. "I wouldn't go as far as can't trust. View skeptically? OK."

Coleen Nolan has shown off the results of her 3.5-stone weight loss after dropping from a size 20 to a size 14 and reaching the point where she says she no longer wants the number on the scale to fall.
The 61-year-old Loose Women star has documented her transformation throughout 2026 after partnering with clinical weight-loss company Voy. She has said she now has more energy, an improved back and greater confidence in the clothes she wears.
The partnership has also generated speculation because Voy offers prescription weight-loss treatments, including injectable medications. Nolan had previously expressed reservations about weight-loss jabs, but she has never publicly said that she personally used Mounjaro, Wegovy or another injection to achieve her 3.5-stone loss.
What Nolan has said is that a pre-diabetes diagnosis changed how seriously she viewed her health after years of yo-yo dieting. She joined Voy looking for a longer-term approach and has since said she has reached a weight she is happy to maintain.

The XLU or the Utilities ETF looks like it's going to jump a bit early based on pre-market trading. So therefore, I think we've got a situation where traders are looking at this through the prism of whether or not we can pick up a little bit of momentum. The market is one that typically is a little bit of a safety play, so this is interesting to see how we have bounced off this support.
And with that being the case, if we can break from here, we'll test the 200-day EMA first and possibly try to grind our way back to the top of the range if momentum can pick up. For myself, I actually like the utilities as a small part of a portfolio, almost like a little bit of insurance. It looks like we are at least trying to defend the range.
The XLF, or financials, looks like it is going to gap higher during the day and just continue to rise. This has been a nice channel for some time and a nice 45-degree angle. I don't see anything on this chart personally that changes that attitude. Slow and steady is the way this one goes as it goes higher over the last couple of months, and it looks like we're going to get more of the same here on Wednesday so far.
XLK, now this is the technology sector. It looks like it's going to open up about 10 cents above where it closed, but it's worth noting that on Tuesday it just launched. And with the earnings season going the way it is and the sudden reemergence of certain high-flying technology companies in the last couple of days, this does make sense.
Certainly looks like it's trying to continue the upward momentum. If rates continue to drop, historically speaking, that's good for tech companies; we'll have to see if that plays out. Certainly, a healthy-looking chart.

Bayern Munich's Global Academy continues to take shape, with various levels and entry station into the Bavarians' increasing youth movement developing. If one wishes to take a closer look at what the Global Academy is, this is the place to look. The TLDR is that, since 2023, Bayern invites a 18 U-18 players to a one year training camp that spans an entire season. These players, if they demonstrate enough talent, will get the chance to move up through the system. The next step for any outstanding Global Academy player is the Bayern World Squad.

A TikToker called out KFC after discovering he only got 35 pieces of chicken popcorn after paying for 50. His outrage sparked debate, leaving many wondering: is shrinkflation hitting fast food? And is it on the rise? One account addressed the possibility.
Famous influencer darkandemomitskiboy told KFC he wasn't planning on getting "scammed" in a heated TikTok video. He wanted to count the pieces in his 50-piece bucket of chicken popcorn to ensure he was getting what he paid for.
He also told viewers that if they didn't deliver on the number, he'd personally visit the outlet. He also got himself fries, a famous bowl, three chicken tenders with some gravy, and for beverages he got Pepsi, **** e, and a Sprite.
The TikToker also ordered an extra portion of the chicken popcorn, because he claimed he doesn't like being scammed. He counted the pieces one by one.

Antonio Banderas says the heart attack he suffered in 2017 became "the best thing that ever happened" to him because it forced him to reconsider how he wanted to live.
The medical emergency occurred at his home in Surrey, England. His longtime partner, Nicole Kimpel, gave him aspirin before paramedics arrived, and doctors later placed three stents in his arteries.
Banderas quit smoking, returned to his hometown of Málaga and shifted more of his attention toward theater, food, family and projects he finds personally meaningful.
Nearly a decade later, that new life helped draw him to Tony, an A24 film about the summer that introduced a young Anthony Bourdain to the chaotic world of professional kitchens.

Dimon has personally reached out to CEOs of other large and major regional banks and IT companies to enlist them in the initiative, which he is expanding from a group that JPM helped found called the Alliance for Critical Infrastructure, the sources said.
The ACI and Dimon have also communicated with other prospective members in an effort to schedule calls in August to discuss collaboration, the sources said.

The Jets were active this offseason trying to upgrade a roster that finished 3-14 in 2025. The team owned four of the top 50 selections in the 2026 NFL Draft. Prior to the Draft, the team was also active in free agency and the trade market, hoping to add veteran experience to a young roster.

Bayern Munich was rumored to have interest in a few defenders during the summer, but nothing material emerged when it came to center-backs.
As it stands, the Bavarians seem content to go into the season with Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Kim Min-jae, and Hiroki Itō as the quartet in central defense.
"We're talking about competition, which I like and which is something I've personally experienced. I played in the same roles as Minjae, Upamecano, and Tah. The most important thing is proving yourself on the pitch. I have to compliment Minjae: the way he presents himself, the way he performs on the pitch – and the fact that he doesn't talk. He always has the right answer in every situation: his performances have always been top-notch for us. For me, it's important to see him deliver the way he does. Anyhow, the Yankees are the only team with shorter odds in the AL than the Sox and the Rays at +600. But they stink, so all is fine.
However this season ends, it's reignited a spark around here that hasn't been lit since 2021 and hasn't roared in nearly 10 years. The Blue Jays were two outs away from winning it all last year and changing the whole labor narrative, some say, tho ultimately I don't think by much. Meaning the Sox have a shot. While I love that the Dodgers (a preposterous +160) do their thing, they're up against a emboldened, whiny club of failsons who've had it out for them from the word go and this is something of a last stand. The only other thing that can bring the Dodgers down, seemingly, is the Sox, who just swept them in LA. They're now Sox likely to make the playoffs (-950) and are closing in on the division (Rays -110, Yankees +155) at +430. The sportsbooks plainly recognize, respect and reflect Bres's ambition. The reward is ours.

Why did you choose Borussia Dortmund?"Because the club has always been one of my favorites. That's the main reason. I also think the path here is a great one. There are plenty of examples of players who've come here and taken a huge leap forward in their careers. I believe I'll be able to develop very well here and learn a lot. That's why I came here."

This is an exciting summer for Real Madrid as the Spanish team is going into the next season with significant changes in the team. While five new players have already been signed and some new signings are also expected in the coming weeks, the most notable change remains that of the head coach, as Jose Mourinho has taken over from Alvaro Arbeloa.
It was a similar feeling last year, when the Merengues had appointed Xabi Alonso to take over from Carlo Ancelotti. However, that experiment did not turn out to be very successful for Los Blancos, as the Spanish tactician lasted only half a season on the bench before he was dismissed in January, after the Spanish Super Cup final loss to Barcelona.
After spending the latter half of the last season without a job, Alonso joined the Premier League side Chelsea this summer, and is going to lead the Blues' next project. As Diario AS has reported, he appeared in an interview with The Athletic, and for the first time commented on his difficult time on the Real Madrid bench.
Personally, the former midfielder revealed that he had overcome the disappointment of his failure at Madrid:
"Fortunately, I don't have many scars in my career… Okay, I do have one scar, but it heals. Now that it has healed, I am very motivated and determined to enjoy this new chapter (at Chelsea) just as I did when I started at Madrid."

Rennes qualified for European football last season, which was a big improvement on the 10th and 12th-place finishes in the two seasons prior. How would you summarise last season and how it went for the club?
Those two seasons you mention were very bad, but the previous six were very good and Rennes were in Europe every time.
The new sporting director Loïc Désiré did a very good job last summer and had very good ideas, like bringing in Esteban Lepaul, who finished as Ligue 1's top goalscorer.
But, last season, there were a few phases; sometimes they were very good, then very bad. It was complicated in the beginning with the coach Habib Beye because some of the players in the squad really did not like him.
Some big names like Brice Samba and Seko Fofana had problems with Beye personally. He struggled, but he had his good moments, too.

Plenty of NFL owners have sold pieces of their teams, either to individual partners or to pre-approved private equity funds.
The Cowboys haven't, but they also won't close the door on it.
"We wouldn't rule it out, but, you know, we'd also be very particular in who we would bring in as a partner in terms of that," Cowboys executive Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Friday. "But, yes, it was designed when we passed that rule that you could have, you know, private equity involved in the NFL, and you could have minority partners, you know, it made sense for a lot of different reasons, and every owner who chooses to go that path can speak for themselves in terms of why they're doing it, but it does — I think it's a great tool. I think it makes the league stronger personally, and, certainly, it's not something we would ever totally rule out. But I wouldn't say anything's on the front burner, either."
The valuation would surely be massive. They could possibly make upwards of $1.5 billion for only 10 percent of the team. And it wouldn't change anything about their control of the organization.
But it also would result in 10 percent of the future profits going to the partner. Depending on how much the Cowboys are clearing after all expenses, it could be better over the long haul to retain all of the equity — and to keep all of the profits.
