Why did you choose Borussia Dortmund?"Because the club has always been one of my favorites. That's the main reason. I also think the path here is a great one. There are plenty of examples of players who've come here and taken a huge leap forward in their careers. I believe I'll be able to develop very well here and learn a lot. That's why I came here."
What do you already know about the club, the city, and the stadium?"BVB has the best fans—the craziest, in a good way! 80,000—I've never played in front of so many people before. So that's really exciting for me. I also know that they're hard-working, smart people. That's similar to the people from my hometown of Genk. It's nice to know that."
Did you talk to anyone beforehand to learn more about BVB? Or about the Bundesliga?"Yes, I have a few friends who are players in the Bundesliga, so I asked them about the league. Plus, of course, many of my fellow soccer players know BVB as a club. I asked them about the club, and they were all very positive and thought it was a good move for me. That only reinforced my decision."
For BVB fans who might not know you that well yet: How would you describe your playing style?"I'd describe myself as a creative player and also as someone who always works hard and tries to help the team."
What are your goals here in Dortmund, both personally and with the team?"My personal goals are to continue developing as much as possible, take the next step in my career, score more goals, and contribute to the team. And from the team's perspective, my goal is, of course, to win ******* les—and not just one. Yes, that's my plan: to win ******* les and help the team as much as possible."
