"The Cowboys have signed OL Sebastian Gutierrez and waived OLB Charles Snowden," The Athletic's Jon Machota wrote on his official X account on Sunday.
Snowden signed a 1-year, $1.075 million contract with the Cowboys on June 18 and was suspended almost 1 month later. Snowden was waived with an injury designation as he was dealing with a groin issue.

Wilson was drafted by the Cowboys in 2019 and started in five of his seven seasons with the team. He recorded 13 sacks, nine forced fumbles, and eight interceptions in his career, including (barring an un-retirement) the final interception of Russell Wilson's career.

The Falcons' quarterback competition is on hold as the team starts training camp on Wednesday.
Head coach Kevin Stefanski said that Tua Tagovailoa will not practice after an injury "flared up." Stefanski did not specify the injury, but Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the quarterback is dealing with back tightness.

Former Ohio State and current Cleveland Browns defensive back Denzel Ward just got paid. He became the highest-paid DB back in 2022 with a five-year extension worth $100.5 million. That was eventually eclipsed, but with the news of Ward signing a two-year extension reportedly worth $62.2 million ($52.3 million guaranteed), he has reclaimed that distinction once again. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baker Mayfield have yet to finalize a contract extension, but ESPN insider Adam Schefter believes it's only a matter of time before an agreement is reached.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Schefter said he expects the two sides to work out a new contract despite negotiations extending into training camp.
"The Buccaneers have been a team that typically has gotten deals done once camp is underway," Schefter said.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter appeared on Thursday's episode of 'Get Up' to share an update on Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes ahead of training camp.
"I don't think there's any question he's going to be ready for the opening Monday night game against the Denver Broncos. The real question is how effective he'll be, how close to 100 percent he'll be. ****** ody expects realistically that he'll be at 100 percent," said Schefter, "But 70 percent of Patrick Mahomes, 80 percent, 90 percent, whatever he is on opening night is still better than most every quarterback in the league. But I think the feeling is he'll be out there. But how healthy will he be?"
Schefter added that a crucial move this offseason will strengthen the Chiefs around a recovering Mahomes.
"This is why you break the bank and sign Kenneth Walker III. This is why you bring in Eric Bieniemy as your offensive coordinator," Schefter said. "This is why you plan to have the ground game, the rushing attack, as much a part of your offense as it has been in any recent season."

The San Francisco 49ers drew opinions earlier this offseason when they took Ole Miss wide receiver De'Zhaun Stribling with the No. 33 pick of the 2026 NFL Draft, with ******* ysts perceiving the pick as a slight reach, given that he was a consensus late second-rounder.
However, several reports came out following the draft that Stribling was seen higher by the NFL than the media and was expected to be a second-round pick, with the 49ers not wanting to risk losing the wideout with another trade down.
Standing 6'2, 210 pounds, Stribling ran a 4.36 40-yard dash and was one of the more physically impressive wide receivers in the draft. Aaron Donald continues to work out as he contemplates coming out of retirement, training both privately at the Los Angeles Rams' facility and at home in videos that he's been posting on Instagram.
Drew Brees has seen some of the workouts Donald has posted and it leaves no doubt in his mind that the All-Pro pass rusher could realistically return to the Rams. In an interview with USA TODAY Sports, Brees said he "absolutely" thinks there's a real chance Donald comes back because of the favorable situation he'd be put in.
"I do. I absolutely do," Brees said. "I absolutely do because first off, I've watched the guy on Instagram and he looks like he's staying in pretty good shape. I mean, I'm still pretty scared of him," Brees said. "For him to sit there and go, 'Wait a minute, you mean I can come back, I don't have to play a full game, I can play between 20, 25 snaps a game, it's always going to be a pass rush, I'm always going to be matched up against the worst offensive lineman and all the attention is going to Myles Garrett and some of these other monsters up there? Like, yeah, why not?' And truly make a Super Bowl run, I think that temptation might be too much for him to pass up."
The Rams' acquisition of Garrett is what got the ball rolling and the wheels spinning in Donald's mind. He's never thought about returning before, but with the chance to pair with another multi-time Defensive Player of the Year, Donald is seriously thinking about it.

After speaking with multiple sources, here are my five takeaways from the layoffs, which included ESPN dropping talents such as Ryan Clark, Karl Ravech, David Lloyd, Tom Pelissero, Cam Newton, and Bart Scott:
Chairman Jimmy Pitaro made it clear that ESPN's biggest round of layoffs in three years was tied directly to Disney's acquisition of NFL Network. Anytime two companies merge, the bean counters look at who's doing what. When they find two people doing the same job—or close to it—one goes out the door.
That's what's happening as ESPN absorbs a network it competed with for over 20 years. ESPN has made "significant progress" integrating NFLN, Pitaro wrote in an internal memo obtained by Front Office Sports. But as always with mergers, it "had to make some difficult decisions," added Pitaro.
ESPN will broadcast its first-ever Super Bowl from SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on Feb. 14, 2027. Televising a Super Bowl has been a corporate dream of ESPN's since its founding as a scrappy wannabe in 1979. Aaron Donald hasn't played football since the 2023 season, but he's all anyone is talking about right now when it comes to the Los Angeles Rams – and, to an extent, the NFL as a whole. The 10-time Pro Bowler is considering coming out of retirement to play for the Rams again, but at this point, that's as far as things have gotten.
He has yet to make a decision about whether he will return to the NFL, and according to Adam Schefter of ESPN, it's going to be a while until he decides.
"What's going on right now is he's trying to get back into football shape. My understanding is it's going to be a while before we hear a final decision about him coming back. When he comes back, he's going to want to be Aaron Donald and he's not going to come back unless he feels like he's Aaron Donald. And that's why it sounds like it's not going to be a quick verdict from him – that he's going to be ramping up all during training camp and this may go towards the start of the regular season before we hear that he has or hasn't signed with the team. He's going through it all right now. This is his own pre-training camp routine."
The idea of teaming up with Myles Garrett and Byron Young and Kobie Turner has Donald intrigued, but it's not as if he's guaranteed to come back. The Miami Dolphins and linebacker Jordyn Brooks have agreed to a three-year contract extension, keeping the veteran with the team through the 2029 season. Earlier in the offseason, new general manager Jon-Eric Sullivan identified core players he envisioned the Dolphins building around as they reset their roster for the future. With the extension of Brooks, Miami has now reached contract agreements with three of those players, including running back De'Von Achane and center Aaron Brewer.

Prior to the extension, Brooks was entering the final season of the three-year contact he signed with the Dolphins as a free agent in 2024. He participated in all of the team's offseason training program, including all voluntary events, while working toward the extension.

The 28-year-old has started all 34 games for the Dolphins, tallying 326 tackles, 6.5 sacks, nine passes defensed, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries.
