While the Indiana Fever have quite a lengthy list of celebrity fans, actress and comedian Aubrey Plaza hilariously decided to test her basketball skills against three-time WNBA All-Star Caitlin Clark during a team practice in New York earlier this season.
In a 3:32 video released by NBC before Indiana's 109-75 rout of the Las Vegas Aces on Sunday night, the noticeably pregnant Plaza observed the team from afar, attempted to impose her own obscure coaching techniques on Lexie Hull, and even played one-on-one basketball against the former Hawkeye.
In the segment of the video where she plays one-on-one with Clark, Plaza can be seen mimicking (or at least accusing Clark of mimicking) her stretching routine before pestering the Fever franchise point guard into a missed shot.
While Plaza had hoped that the league's new collective bargaining agreement would have opened even the slightest crack for her to achieve her WNBA dreams, she might need to improve both her basketball skills and overall endurance to be considered.
Until then, she'll have to continue practicing on the court while focusing on earning Emmys and Golden Globes for her acting and producing career instead.

The Eagles are the favorites to win the NFC East for a third consecutive year, something that had not been done since the Eagles won four-straight NFC East ******* les from 2001-2004.
The Eagles should have no problems threepeating—but, they could receive a challenge from a team that has gotten gradually better over the last few years, and that's the New York Giants, who split with the Eagles last season. It may seem strange here, considering the Giants finished 4-13 last season—the second-worst record in the NFC behind the 3-14 Arizona Cardinals.
Here, however, are a few things to consider: New York lost two games in overtime last year, one in which the Dallas Cowboys' Brandon Aubrey had to boot a 64-yard game-tying field goal in the final seconds of regulation, and another in Denver when the Giants blew a 19-0 four-quarter lead. The Giants lost four games by four points or less, two of those four came against the NFC North champion Chicago Bears and AFC West champion Denver Broncos.
It's a fan-friendly team that has become highly competitive.
Now consider the addition of Super Bowl-winning head coach John Harbaugh, who in his previous 18 years as a head coach in Baltimore has amassed a 180-113 record, with just three losing seasons, and is 13-11 in the postseason. The Giants have had one winning season (9-7-1 in 2022) in the last nine years, and haven't won the NFC East since 2011, when they won the Super Bowl.

It is Day 71 of our 100-day countdown to kickoff. We are looking back at the 100 most iconic games in Dallas Cowboys history. The countdown will leads us right up to the opening game of 2026. Our look back doesn’t depend on just one criteria for our rankings. We take into consideration things like how big the game was for the organization, how memorable the game was, games that had unusual events take place, games that are a part of NFL lore, Cowboys firsts, and games where the Cowboys just plain dominated. Variety is the spice of life and we have all different kind of Cowboys games to review. At the bottom, we’ll link each day of the countdown so you can go back and check out any you missed.
It’s Day 71 of our 100-day countdown to kickoff and we revisit one of the biggest regular-season stages the Cowboys have ever owned. Dallas hosted Kansas City on Thanksgiving Day 2025 in a matchup built for television. By the time it was over, Dallas had a shocking win and the game had become the most-watched regular-season game in NFL history.
The game started about as poorly as possible for the Cowboys. Prescott was intercepted by Jaylen Watson on Dallas’ opening possession, and Mahomes needed only two plays to punish the mistake, hitting Rashee Rice for a 27-yard touchdown. Dallas answered immediately with a 12-play touchdown drive, capped by Prescott finding CeeDee Lamb from 15 yards out, but Kansas City struck again late in the first quarter when Mahomes hit Travis Kelce from two yards to make it 14-7 Chiefs.
From there, Dallas settled in. Brandon Aubrey cut the deficit with a 49-yard field goal, the defense finally forced Kansas City off the field, and the Cowboys took their first lead late in the second quarter. Malik Davis, who had only three carries in the game, broke loose for a 43-yard touchdown run, the longest run of his career and Dallas’ longest touchdown run since 2022, giving the Cowboys a 17-14 halftime lead.
The third quarter became a defensive reset for Dallas. After Kansas City scored touchdowns on its first two drives of the game, the Cowboys forced punts on four straight Chiefs possessions to start the second half. Aubrey added a 36-yard field goal to stretch the lead to 20-14, but Mahomes eventually answered early in the fourth, converting a fourth-and-goal throw to Rice to put Kansas City back in front 21-20.

No more math. No more goal differential calculations or need for an advanced physics degree to figure out which third place finishers in groups will play in the knockout rounds, who they’ll play, where they’ll play. For 10 consecutive days, starting Sunday, global soccer fans will be treated to a steady diet of win-or-go-home World Cup games, unspooling in stadiums across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Right through the Rounds of 32 and 16; on July 8th, there’s one day off before the quarters.
On the first day of knockoutpalooza, one of the World Cup co-hosts, Canada, took center stage. Canada was in an unusual, and potentially difficult, spot for its Round of 32 contest against South Africa: it became the first World Cup host country to play a game outside its borders. Canada just needed a draw with Switzerland in its final group stage game, on June 24th in Vancouver, to remain in British Columbia through the Round of 16, should Canada get that far. Instead, Switzerland won 2-1, shuttling the Canadians, who’ve never reached a World Cup elimination round in their two prior appearances, in 1986 and 2022, to Los Angeles.
At least the trip was a straight jaunt down the coast. And all game long, Canada outclassed South Africa, who at times appeared content to hold the ball and take the game to a penalty shootout (earning jeers from the Canada-heavy crowd). Canada doubled South Africa’s shot output, 12-6. Off a late first-half corner kick, a Moïse Bombito header was kicked off the line by South African defender Aubrey Modiba. The rebound pinballed onto the foot of Canada’s Tajon Buchanan, who slammed it towards the post: South African keeper Ronwen Williams body-saved the shot. Moments later, Canada appeared to earn a penalty shot via a violent tackle on Richie Laryea. But the ref swallowed his whistle. As the half came to a close, fiery Canada coach Jesse Marsch had to be restrained by Bombito, lest he say too much to the officials.
In the 75th minute, Canada’s Alphonso Davies, a Bayern Munich standout, came onto the pitch to spark the team: the defender hadn’t played since early May, when he injured a hamstring in a Champions League semifinal. But Canada still couldn’t break through: the game looked headed for this World Cup’s first 30-minute extra time session. But Canada, it turns out, had more dramatic ideas in mind.
In second-half stoppage time, the 92nd minute of the match, a South African player headed a Canada cross out of the box—to the chest of Stephen Eustáquio, one of Canada’s leaders. He touched the ball down and fired from the top of the penalty area, right inside the far post. Williams had no shot at saving it.

South Africa beat South Korea 1-0 on Wednesday to reach the World Cup knockout rounds for the first time in their history -- an astonishing turnaround after a dismal opening defeat.
The Bafana Bafana, playing at the tournament for the first time since they hosted it in 2010, were widely written off after their 2-0 loss to Group A winners Mexico.
But they battled to a draw against the Czech Republic and came out on top of what was effectively a shootout with South Korea for second place in Monterrey, thanks to Thapelo Maseko's second-half strike.
South Korea coach Hong Myung-bo made a shock call by leaving captain Son Heung-min -- considered by many to be Asia's greatest-ever player -- out of the starting line-up.
The Asian team started strongly, with stand-in captain Kim Min-jae's powerful header blocked on the goalline by Aubrey Modiba before Lee Kang-in flashed wide.

BOONEVILLE — If Tupelo’s girls are to return to Jackson, the road will be paved largely by new faces.
The Golden Wave are breaking in four new starters this summer. The team reached the state championship game three years in a row (winning it all in 2024 and 2025) before being knocked out in the quarterfinals last season.
“We've got a lot of new faces down, as you can tell,” coach Matt Justice said. We’ve got four or five (sic) new girls that are kind of stepping into different roles, so we’re just trying to figure them out this summer and see what they can do so that we know what we have to work on come August.”
In a summer league game against New Hope at Northeast Mississippi Community College on Thursday morning, Tupelo was led in scoring by one of those new faces; eighth-grader Aubrey Thomas.
Thomas, a transfer from Ridgeland, led the Golden Wave with 13 points in its 38-15 win. She is just 12 years old, but holds a Division I offer from UT Martin.

Broadway's biggest night is always packed with memorable performances, standing ovations and a whole lot of interesting fashion — and the 2026 Tony Awards delivered on all fronts. While some stars embraced classic old-Hollywood glamour on Sunday evening's blue carpet, others treated it as an extension of the stage, arriving in looks that were theatrical, whimsical and unapologetically bold.
From Aubrey Plaza's chic maternity moment and Jeremy Pope's reimagined tuxedo to Cole Escola's delightfully medicinal shade of pink, this year's attendees proved that Tony Awards fashion is in a league of its own. Ahead, our favorite style superlatives from the night.
Sure, the actor appeared alongside her partner Christopher Abbott (nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for Death of a Salesman), but her best accessory was her baby ***** p. Though the pair announced their pregnancy in April, Sunday's event was their carpet debut as a couple and, more importantly, Plaza's moment as a glowing mom-to-be. Her black-and-white striped Chanel gown was the perfect look for the occasion and a masterclass in effortlessly gorgeous maternity dressing.
The Hamilton actor took a sporty red bomber jacket and gave it a formal twist, layering it over an oversize black suit by Public School. The glossy scarlet topper added just the right amount of drama, proving menswear can still make a statement on the carpet.
Though the writer and actor behind Oh, Mary! told Yahoo that the color of their custom Christopher John Rogers look was inspired by Ibuprofen, the bright pink hue was most definitely giving Pepto Bismol (in the best way possible). The voluminous gown was meant to fuse Molly Ringwald's '80s prom queen energy with the flair of classic stage icons like Dorothy Loudon, according to Escola. Safe to say they nailed it — and turned the blue carpet into center stage.

The Dallas Cowboys signed Bryan Anger in 2021, bringing in the veteran to compete with incumbent punter, Hunter Niswander. Niswander was a practice squadder just a year earlier, taking the job from Chris Jones, but Anger soon displaced him, and he's been a staple of the team's special teams mix ever since.
But recent performance has many wondering if Anger's price tag is worth keeping him around in 2026. Coming off his worst season since arriving in Dallas, now might be the best time to bring in competition. There are two punters from the UFL who could, in the tradition of talent like kicker Brandon Aubrey and returner/receiver KaVontae Turpin, potentially beat Anger for the job. The Cowboys should be evaluating the worth of Colby Wadman from the Birmingham Stallions and Jack Browning from the Orlando Storm.
Anger's PFF grade has gradually declined since the 2023 season, from 87.5 (2023) to 76.4 (2024) to 68.7 (2025). His net punt yards have started to slide as well, from 45.3 to 42.6 yards, and his percentage of punts inside the 20 has dropped from 38.6% in 2023 to 34.1% in 2025.
If Dallas were to eventually cut Anger, they would avoid paying his $3.1 million base salary, according to OverTheCap. Anger has earned over $29.2 million already in his career.
Looking at how well Wadman and Browning have performed in the UFL, it would make sense for the Cowboys to bring in competition for Anger.

Vanderbilt basketball is set to take on Notre Dame in both men's and women's basketball in the 2026 ACC/SEC Challenge in December, the league announced June 5.
The women will host the Irish at Memorial Gymnasium on Dec. 3 in a rematch of the Sweet 16 game between the two in 2026, which Notre Dame won.
Key players from both teams will return, including Mikayla Blakes, Aubrey Galvan and Hannah Hidalgo. Both players were conference players of the year in 2026, with Blakes being the SEC Player of the Year and Hidalgo capturing the ACC Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year. It was the first Sweet 16 appearance for Vanderbilt since 2009.
The men will travel to South Bend for a matchup at Purcell Pavilion on Dec. 2. Notre Dame did not make the NCAA Tournament in 2026, finishing with a 13-18 season. Vanderbilt made it to the second round of the tournament, where it lost to Nebraska. The Commodores will return star guard Tyler Tanner with a slate of transfers headlined by Ace Glass from Washington State and Sebastian Williams-Adams from Auburn.
Game times and TV info will be released at a later date.

Brandon Aubrey has had some impressive games in his career, but he might have outdone himself on Thursday night in Detroit. The kicker broke two NFL records against the Lions and he was one of the few bright spots for the Dallas Cowboys in a 44-30 loss at Ford Field.
Aubrey re-wrote the NFL record book with his first four field goals of the night, which came from 42, 55, 57 and 63 yards. He then tacked on a fifth one in the fourth quarter when he hit from 29 yards out, marking just the second time in his career that he's hit five field goals in a game.
With that in mind, let's take a closer
