Hunter Schafer attended the WIRED World Fair in Miami on Wednesday, where she took part in a panel discussion.

For an event exploring the intersection of technology, creativity and culture, Hunter's NIHL by Neil Grotzinger Spring 2027 look felt particularly fitting. With her upcoming television series Blade Runner 2099 being her latest project, the futuristic aesthetic also seemed especially relevant, even if this wasn't an official promotional appearance.
The neon-yellow hooded top, covered in intricate floral embellishments, has an almost otherworldly quality, while the contrasting printed skirt adds to the unconventional aesthetic. The combination of traditional decorative techniques and futuristic design makes this an interesting choice for the occasion.
By swapping the runway's chunky boots for lilac pumps, she gave the outfit a more feminine feel while keeping its unconventional appeal.

Just two miles short of the finish line of the 2026 New York City Marathon on Nov. 1, 24-year-old runner Rachel Apa collapsed. She died of a rare and potentially life-threatening illness that can be brought on by excessive exertion, the New York Times reported.
It's called rhabdomyolysis, and while there are relatively few cases nationwide each year, it can strike during endurance or intensive exercise, including marathons.
Apa was running her first marathon to raise money for Parkinson's disease in honor of her late grandfather, according to the New York Times. But Apa was no stranger to athletics, having played Division I field hockey in college. Her family said Apa had been in "perfect health." Plus, she'd been training for the race for months.
But at mile 18, Apa texted her father, Steve, who'd been checking in at each mile: "Ow." At the end of the next mile, she wrote, "Ow ow." She stopped responding after that. Apa's mother, Michelle, was at the race and had watched her daughter run by earlier on. Her parents noticed on the marathon tracking app that Apa stopped moving after mile 24.
Apa collapsed just after running past hospital social worker Michaela Nichols, who was cheering on participants. Nichols ran over and checked Apa's pulse, but couldn't find one. Three other people — two of whom said they were physicians — ran over to give Apa CPR. Marathon medical staff tried to revive her with a defibrillator before an ambulance arrived. She was taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center and treated for six hours, but could not be saved.

Sydney Sweeney is getting into the holiday spirit with the latest drop from her lingerie and loungewear brand, SYRN. The actor fronted the campaign for the label's new "All I Want Is Plaid" collection from the Holiday Shop, bringing festive charm to every frame. The playful campaign featured cozy Christmas sets and stacks of wrapped presents.
For the campaign, Sydney Sweeney slipped into SYRN's Snow Problem Flannel Cami and Shorts Set, priced at $69. The matching plaid set featured a flannel cami with two front panels tied together at the bust, creating a flirty cutout effect.
The fitted silhouette hugged her frame while the coordinating plaid micro shorts sat comfortably on the waist with a pull-on design. An embroidered SYRN logo at the shorts' hem added a subtle finishing touch.
She layered the festive look with white thigh-high stockings and completed it with lavender-blue platform heels. A soft pale blue faux-fur-trimmed cape draped over her shoulders, making the outfit feel even more holiday-ready.
The campaign showed Sweeney balancing wrapped presents and posing among snow-covered Christmas trees. She playfully tangled herself in colorful string lights before the reel ended with the SYRN logo appearing on a vintage television.

Mckenna Grace has been bringing some serious glamor to her latest press appearances. The actress stepped out in a striking gold ensemble while promoting "The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping" in Spain. Her appearance on the Spanish television show "La Revuelta" was all about making a statement. She wore a daring outfit that perfectly complemented the occasion, featuring a micro minidress with a slit and a cutout.
For the appearance, McKenna Grace wore a stunning Sau Lee Caspian Jacquard Print Dress that combined a body-hugging silhouette with several eye-catching details. The metallic gold micro minidress featured a textured jacquard finish. This shimmered under the studio lights, giving the outfit a luxurious appearance.
However, the most striking feature was the massive cutout across the chest. The dress featured a halter-style neckline that wrapped around her neck before opening into a dramatic asymmetrical cutout. A small slit along one side of the skirt added another playful detail. This allowed the minidress to reveal even more of her legs as she moved around the television set.
Grace paired the gold number with sheer black tights and glossy black pointed-toe heels. The darker accessories created a striking contrast against the shimmering fabric while keeping the attention on the dress. Her blonde hair was styled into a sleek, low ponytail with a neat side part. She completed the look with gold-toned statement earrings from Sonia Petroff, which complemented the metallic finish of the outfit.
The Sau Lee dress also seemed particularly fitting for her upcoming film. Its rich golden color and textured appearance subtly echoed the extravagant fashion **** ociated with the Capitol in "The Hunger Games" universe. While the outfit was not presented as a direct reference to the franchise, its dramatic silhouette felt appropriate for the dystopian world.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Hollywood plans might be on hold. According to sources, their Netflix film projects haven't shown any clear progress since March. However, another source claimed that this is standard practice in the industry. Meanwhile, their production company has reportedly lost another executive.
Sources told Page Six that the Sussexes' Netflix films, "Meet Me at the Lake" and "The Wedding Date," remain in development. The first is based on Carley Fortune's bestselling book. It has reportedly been in development since August 2023, and it's believed to have an attached director whose identity remains under wraps. "The Wedding Date," based on Jasmine Guillory's novel, has been in development since 2025.
However, a second source called it simply how Hollywood works. "Things are not made in a day," the industry insider said. They explained that adaptations take a while, especially as producers work with the book writers on the script.
The couple's untitled scripted polo drama also hasn't received any update. Harry is reportedly working on a documentary about Princess Diana ahead of her 30th death anniversary. Netflix's potential involvement in the film currently remains unclear.
Meanwhile, Archewell Productions' longtime head of nonfiction, Chanel Pysnik, is reportedly leaving. She helmed the Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan." Page Six was told that she wanted a "new chapter." Following her exit, Nishika ******* ble, senior vice president of scripted television, remains a key executive in the company. The outlet reported last month that Archewell Productions was downsizing.

Meghan Markle reportedly left Prince Harry feeling panicked over major choices that could affect their marriage. The ******* ss of Sussex was said to be considering a return to California despite their recent UK relocation.
An insider claimed her plans were "triggering a lot of old insecurities" in the Duke. Meanwhile, her newly announced Australian television role raised questions about time apart. Sources also alleged the couple disagreed over where their children should grow up.
According to Woman's Day's report, the Sussexes allegedly disagreed after returning to Britain. An insider claimed, "Meghan is counting down the days until they go back to California." The source said Harry felt "this huge sense of relief being back in the UK." Meanwhile, the former "Suits" actress accepted a 2027 "Junior MasterChef Australia" role alongside Poh Ling Yeow. The show's producers confirmed her involvement on October 27. Meghan called accepting the invitation "an easy yes."
Furthermore, an insider claimed Prince Harry was unsettled by decisions allegedly made without him. "Harry's heartbroken, and feeling more alone and isolated than ever," the source alleged. They added, "Meghan is suddenly making all these massive, life-altering decisions on her own." Additionally, the duke was reportedly "in a state of panic about what she's planning next." The situation was "triggering a lot of old insecurities in him," the insider claimed. They also alleged communication had "completely broken down."
Separately, another source discussed the marriage if Meghan Markle returned to California. "If Meghan becomes unhappy and it doesn't work, she'll go back to the US," they claimed. The insider warned that living apart "could spell trouble for their marriage." Meanwhile, Harry reportedly wanted Archie and Lilibet settled in Britain. The report also alleged King Charles had discussed the couple's problems with his son. Another insider said, "All he wants is for Harry to be happy." Neither spouse publicly confirmed the alleged disagreements.

Single retirees with provisional income above $34,000 face federal taxes on up to 85% of their Social Security benefits.
Provisional income combines your AGI, tax-exempt interest, and 50% of your annual Social Security benefit to determine your tax exposure.
Roth IRA withdrawals are excluded from AGI, potentially reducing provisional income to zero and shielding Social Security from federal taxes entirely.
Building a portfolio and living off one are two completely different skills, and almost ***** ody teaches the second. This problem is what The Definitive Guide to Retirement Income helps, and it is free today. Read more here. (Sponsor)
There are many older Americans today who live on Social Security alone. The average monthly Social Security retirement benefit is $2,088, which amounts to about $25,000 per year.

Space Exploration Technologies (NASDAQ: SPCX) has had a rocky start to life as a public company. After reaching an all-time high of $226 within days following its June debut, ******* eX shares have fallen roughly 38%, even as Elon Musk's aerospace and artificial intelligence (AI) company reported impressive financial results.
However, an upcoming event may give investors a new reason to reconsider ******* eX's long-term potential. On Nov. 6, Baron Capital will host its 33rd annual investment conference in New York City, where billionaire mutual fund investor Ron Baron will interview Musk during a fireside chat.
Missed AI's "Act 1"? Act 2 Could Be 16x Bigger. Most investors think they missed the AI boat because they didn't buy Nvidia in 2005. But according to our ******* ysts, we're only at the end of "Act 1"—the R&D phase. "Act 2" is the global rollout. Continue »
The conversation could be interesting because Baron has been one of Musk's most enthusiastic supporters for more than a decade. With ******* eX now publicly traded, the conference provides an opportunity for Musk to discuss the company's vision and progress with an investor who has made billions backing his other businesses. My prediction is this conversation could send ******* eX stock soaring.
Baron's relationship with Musk dates back to Tesla's (NASDAQ: TSLA) initial public offering in 2010. Although Baron did not immediately invest in the electric vehicle (EV) pioneer, he eventually bought into Musk's vision for the company. He later accumulated approximately $400 million worth of Tesla stock between 2014 and 2016.

On its third-quarter 2026 earnings call, held on Nov. 3, 2026, Eaton (NYSE:ETN) raised its full-year 2026 organic revenue growth guidance, which excludes acquisitions and currency shifts, to a midpoint of 14%.
Management also raised its full-year adjusted earnings per share guidance, a profit measure that excludes one-time items and non-cash expenses, to a midpoint of $13.75. Expanding factory capacity allows the company to convert a record backlog, which represents unfilled customer orders, into long-term margin expansion.
Three things management said stand out.
Eaton restructured its international operations early and expanded its product lineup in high-demand markets like data centers. Electrical Global, the division serving international power markets, sharply accelerated its organic growth by gaining share with the same global customers that Eaton serves in North America.
We now expect organic growth about 16% in 2026, well above our prior guidance, and more than double the 7% we delivered in 2025. This acceleration is no accident. It reflects deliberate strategic moves we made over the past few years.

Welltower (WELL) pays out only 52% of normalized FFO, while Ventas (VTR) raised its dividend 8% and improved leverage to a decade-low 4.4x.
Baby boomers turning 80 now number nearly 70 million, yet builders started only 1,000 new senior housing units last quarter.
Sabra's 6% yield comes with a dividend flat since 2020 and a $102 million non-cash loan loss provision recorded in Q2.
Just released. Our ***** ysts combed the entire stock market and named the ten best stocks to buy right now, and Welltower didn't make the cut. Enter your email to see the names that beat WELL. The report is free. Enter your email and see if any of your stocks made the cut.
Senior housing has one of the clearest demand stories in real estate. On its third-quarter call, Ventas (NYSE:VTR) noted that the baby boomer generation, a cohort of nearly 70 million individuals, began turning 80 this year. Builders started only 1,000 units of new senior housing in the quarter. More 80-year-olds and very few new buildings push occupancy and rents higher, but operator health, labor costs, and government reimbursement decide how much of that reaches shareholders. The four REITs below are all equity REITs that own buildings. None is a mortgage REIT. Dividend safety is measured on FFO, FAD, or AFFO coverage, the cash-flow figures REITs actually pay dividends from.

The world mourned the loss of Patrick Stewart on Thursday as the iconic actor passed at the age of 86 after a battle with Alzheimer's Disease and Lewy Body Dementia. Stewart was a prolific stage actor as well as taking on massive roles in both television and film. He played Captain Jean-Luc Picard for 176 episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation, as well as starring as Professor X in eight X-Men movies -- including post-credit scenes and cameos -- across both the Fox and Marvel Cinematic universes (with the ninth coming this December with Avengers: Doomsday).
But one of the things that made Stewart so special and beloved was his willingness to do something goofy or funny. Such was the case in a 2024 Super Bowl commercial for Paramount+. Not only did Stewart star alongside well-known CBS and Paramount+ characters like Survivor's Jeff Probst, Knuckles from Sonic the Hedgehog, daytime host Drew Barrymore and Miami Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa.

It's a truly ridiculous commercial that features Stewart trying to convince Tagovailoa to throw Arnold of Hey Arnold! to the top of a mountain. "Not built for the moment, I see," Stewart delivers as if he's on stage in the West End.

The New York Yankees entered the offseason facing familiar questions about their offensive identity after another frustrating end to their season. Despite the talent in their lineup, the Yankees were swept by the division rival Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Division Series, leaving the franchise to confront concerns about its execution, approach and ability to deliver when the stakes are highest.
The team's reliance on superstar slugger Aaron Judge was laid bare, as the offense struggled to produce while he was sidelined by an injury. And its failure to execute fundamental defensive and baserunning plays has come under fire as well, particularly after the Rays and World Series champion Milwaukee Brewers succeeded with such a different style.
Former Yankees manager Joe Girardi articulated many of the criticisms surrounding the Yankees shortly after their season ended.
"Joe Girardi isn't blaming Aaron Boone for the Yankees' shortcomings, but believes a deeper-rooted culture issue might have contributed to the team being swept in the ALDS," Mark Suleymanov wrote for the New York Post. "Girardi cited Austin Wells' baserunning blunder in Game 1 and Jazz Chisholm Jr.'s disastrous throw in an error-filled Game 2 as examples of the team's fundamental failures — and the concerning response to those mistakes."
And with the Yankees under fire for a power-heavy offense and poor fundamentals, one of their most intriguing infield prospects has spoken out about the kind of change he'd like to see in the sport.

WEST GREENWICH – Zakhi Hightower knows he owes Josian Franco a touchdown.
Franco did the dirty work – the defensive pressure, a swatted pass – so Hightower just had to walk in for the game-breaking score. Juanita Sanchez/Providence Country Day cruised the rest of the night.
Hightower's interception return for a touchdown highlighted a breakout second quarter for the Cavaliers. Their season will continue with a clean slate, and a playoff date next week awaits after a 34-22 victory over Exeter-West Greenwich on Thursday night, Oct. 29.
Juanita Sanchez (3-4) currently has the fifth seed in Division IV after the victory on Oct. 29. The fourth spot, in this ever-changing RPI system, is within reach pending the weekend's results. More defensive plays like Hightower's 25-yard pick-six would make this co-op a dangerous team in the knockout stages.

CLEVELAND — Jose Ramirez rescued the Guardians in the American League Division Series with a tremendous three-game run to lift Cleveland to the ALCS, but with their playoff journey coming to an end all the focus turns to an injury that hamstrung him for the second half of the season.
Ramirez underwent hamate bone surgery in mid-June and returned to the lineup July 22, but he was struggling to be as productive while playing through the left wrist/hand issue. It can often be difficult for hitters to fully return to form in the aftermath of a hamate bone surgery.
His season numbers had already been a bit down from his career averages, but after the procedure he hit just .229 with a .598 OPS over the final 53 games, a stretch that included only two home runs, as his power seemed to be sapped.
It was painfully clear Ramirez was playing while hurt and the procedure was having a negative impact. It was also unlikely he'd do further damage, and the Guardians appreciated anything the star third baseman might be able to give them. A one-handed Ramirez is still a better sight in the everyday lineup than calling someone off the bench, especially as he insisted to play every day.
"I mean, obviously, it took a toll on him," said Guardians manager Stephen Vogt, who also reiterated his commitment to Cleveland while some rumors about the Seattle Mariners had stated to run rampant. "He was out there giving us everything he had. He wasn't playing at 100 percent, but that never changed his demeanor or the way he went about his business. And I think that just speaks to who he is as a person and a baseball player.

UFC 324 kicked off the promotion's Paramount era with an absolute thriller, as Justin Gaethje and Paddy Pimblett went to war for five rounds. Gaethje eventually came out on top, securing the interim lightweight ****** le, but the fight wasn't without its controversies.
Several eye pokes and a low blow suffered by Pimblett had fans questioning the referee's decision not to take a point away, especially after two judges scored the contest 49-46. Beyond the officiating debate, another talking point was Pimblett's decision to trade strikes with one of the division's most dangerous punchers instead of making better use of his grappling.
Given his Brazilian jiu-jitsu credentials, many felt he left a major weapon unused. The Liverpudlian has since admitted that he could have approached things differently. Now, with Gaethje having become the undisputed 155lbs champion after beating Ilia Topuria at UFC Freedom 250, Pimblett has opened up about what he would change if the two ever crossed paths inside the Octagon again.
In a recent interview with How U Livin J Piven, Pimblett admitted that he would take a completely different approach if he ever got another shot at Gaethje. "Yeah, if I fought him again, I'd shoot in within 10 seconds. I'd love to get that rematch. If I fought him again, I'd shoot in the first 10 seconds, put him on his back, and choke his ****** out."
That would arguably be a much smarter game plan for the Liverpudlian, who reminded everyone of his grappling prowess with a spectacular comeback at UFC 329.

After years of almost entirely focusing on the transfer portal, Rick Pitino is intensifying his efforts on the high school recruiting trail, and another class of 2027 prospect is landing on the Red Storm's radar.
Four-star Canadian recruit Godson Okokoh is reportedly scheduling a visit to St. John's on November 6 and 7, according to LeagueReady's Sam Kayser. It is unclear whether Okokoh will attend the Red Storm's matchup against Iona at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, November 8.
The 6-foot-8 forward from Ottawa is the 111th-ranked prospect in his class according to 247Sports' composite rankings and will compete in this year's Overtime Elite season with Bella Vista Prep, who will play as the City Reapers in the league. He flashed his rim protection and inside scoring in the Nike EYBL Scholastic division and the Under Armour Circuit last season, and also made a strong impression at this summer's NBPA Top 100 camp.
Okokoh made only one other visit this year at West Virginia on October 6. His offers include Kansas, Ohio State, USC, Oklahoma State, Missouri, Creighton, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, and Arizona State.
Earlier this year, Okokoh helped Canada pull off a shocking upset over the United States to win its first-ever FIBA U18 AmeriCup gold medal. He averaged 9.0 points and 5.4 rebounds over five games and recorded a team-high eight boards in the championship final.

The Arizona Cardinals have made one trade already. As the trade deadline approaches, many believe they could make at least one other deal.
Outside linebacker Josh Sweat has been the subject of rumors since the offseason. Those rumors are heating up, although it is no more than people speculating fit.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler is hearing that rivals see the Cardinals moving Sweat. One source considers the Dallas Cowboys, whom the Cardinals play this weekend, a good fit.
Fowler gives a Sweat trade about 40% odds and notes the Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers and Chicago Bears as teams to watch.
With the Bears acquiring defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons from the Tennessee ******* ans, they likely aren't a possibility now. It seems unlikely the Cardinals would send their best edge rusher to a division rival like the 49ers, so the Cowboys make the most sense.
