Just days after acquiring Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns, the Los Angeles Rams are giving their new superstar a raise. According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, Garrett and the Rams have agreed to a reworked contract.
Florio doesn’t have the full details of Garrett’s new contract, but it’s a five-year deal and there are options available through 2038. Previously, Garrett was signed through 2030.
The Rams are giving Garrett a $35.7 million signing bonus and his salary will be at least $1.3 million, which means his total pay for 2026 will be at least $37 million. Previously, he was set to make $31.5 million, so that’s a raise of at least $5.5 million.

This future Army athlete has plenty of motivation to serve his country and compete for the Black Knights.
Adis Hamidovic, a senior at Bloomington North High School in Indiana, has committed to throw for the Army track and field team. He's determined to follow in the footsteps of his mom, Sara, who played multiple sports for Army in the early 2000s. He'll join a Army track program led by coach Mike Smith, who has been named Patriot League Men's Coach of the Year five times since coming to West Point in 2014.
Hamidovic is one of the best throwers in Indiana and could be set up for a big performance this weekend at the IHSAA track and field finals. He took first in the discus (185 feet, one inch) and third in the shot put (56 feet, 7.5 inches) at last week's regional meet. He enters Friday's finals ranked third in the discus and 11th in the shot put.
Sara is bursting with pride over the choice her son has made about his future.
At the same time, it's hard to keep from crying when she talks about exactly where his decision could lead him. She knows firsthand — and it scares the ***** out of her.

By now, it’s a mistake to think this Knicks team will go down without a fight.
It was a mistake to think that with New York down 2-1 in a first-round series against the Hawks, and it was a mistake to think that down 22 points in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
And yes, it was again a mistake to think that with the San Antonio Spurs leading by 14 points in the third quarter of Wednesday night’s Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
What ensued was a 25-14 close to the third, which eventually turned into a strong fourth-quarter finish in what became a 105-95 Knicks win in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
The Knicks shut the Spurs out in the final 2:15 of regulation. The road team scored nine straight, including a Jalen Brunson fadeaway that put his team up six with 37.8 seconds remaining.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Cristopher Sánchez ran his consecutive shutout innings streak to 50 2/3 before allowing a run and earned the win after J.T. Realmuto and Kyle Schwarber homered in the seventh inning, leading the Philadelphia Phillies to a 3-2 victory over the San Diego Padres on Wednesday night.
Jhoan Duran worked a scoreless ninth for his 14th save.
Sánchez’s streak ranks as the third-best overall dating to the start of the Live Ball Era in 1920 behind the Los Angeles Dodgers’ Orel Hershiser, with a record 59 straight scoreless innings in 1988, and Don Drysdale with 58 in 1968. With a scoreless first inning against the Padres, Sánchez topped Hall of Famer Carl Hubbell's mark of 45 1/3 in 1933 for longest by a left-hander.
Sánchez (7-2) breezed through six scoreless innings against the Padres before allowing a two-out double in the seventh to Ty France. Sánchez allowed an RBI single to lefty-swinging Jackson Merrill that scored France and accounted for the only run he allowed since the end of April.
Sánchez stood on the mound and finally cracked a smile and fidgeted with the bill of his cap after a nearly minute-long standing ovation from 40,453 Phillies fans. He finished with eight strikeouts.

Auburn Sophomore Chase Fralick was named as a finalist for the Buster Posey Catcher of the Year Award, via Wichita Sports Commission on Monday, June 1.
The sophomore catcher becomes the first Auburn Tiger to be named a finalist for the award. The award is presented every year to the top catchers throughout the nation in college baseball. Fabian Schar says he is "very glad" to be staying at Newcastle for another season, after signing a new one-year contract extension.
The 34-year-old defender's current deal was set to expire at the end of June but he will now remain at Newcastle for a ninth season.
Schar has made 251 appearances in all competitions for Newcastle since arriving in 2018, and is the club's second-longest serving player, but has been absent since having surgery on an ankle injury in January.
"I'm proud to call Newcastle home," he said on his new deal.
"Everybody knows how happy I am, both in this city and with this club, so I'm very glad to be continuing that for another year.

LONDON (AP) — UK Athletics, the governing body of British track and field, was fined 350,000 pounds ($471,000) on Tuesday after pleading guilty to corporate manslaughter in the case of a Paralympian who died when a practice cage fell on him during training.
Abdullah Hayayei, 36, was preparing to represent the United Arab Emirates when he was hit on the head by a metal pole during the accident at Newham Leisure Centre in east London on July 11, 2017.
Judge Richard Marks said Hayayei’s death was “tragic, untimely and wholly avoidable” as he announced the sentence during a hearing at Central London Criminal Court on Tuesday.
Keith Davies, 79, who was head of sport for the 2017 world para athletics championships in London, was ordered to perform 175 hours of unpaid work after he plead guilty to a health and safety charge.
Davies, a retired physical education teacher, either knew or should have known about the problems with the equipment because of the previous collapse of an identical cage, Marks said.

There's still no reason to believe the Tennessee ****** ans are interested in trading All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, but days like June 1 are reminders as to why the conversation comes up so frequently.
In a span of just a couple of hours, the Cleveland Browns traded defensive end Myles Garrett, the reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year, to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for three draft picks and Pro Bowl edge defender Jared Verse. Then the Philadelphia Eagles punctuated months of speculation by dealing Pro Bowl receiver A.J. Brown to the New England Patriots for a pair of picks.
Other than the timing, these trades don't have all that much in common. The Eagles are contenders who spent the entire offseason bracing for this deal by drafting and signing Brown's potential replacements. The Browns are in total tear-down mode but now have multiple first-round picks in the much-ballyhooed 2027 draft and one of the league's best young defenders as a cornerstone.
The state of the ****** ans is somewhere between, though closer to Cleveland's than Philadelphia's. And that's fitting because Simmons' value, coming off a year where he was the NFL's unquestioned best and most productive interior defensive lineman, is somewhere, though a little closer Garrett's than Brown's.
In exchange for Garrett, who is 30, the Browns got from the Rams a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, a 2029 third-round pick and Verse, a 25-year-old two-time Pro Bowler who hasn't yet reached his prime.

On Monday, the Los Angeles Rams made the difficult decision to part ways with former first-round pick and two-time Pro Bowler Jared Verse. Verse, along with multiple draft picks, was moved to add reigning NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.
Team captain Quentin Lake took to social media, penning a tribute to Verse. Lake and Verse worked together over the last two seasons to redefine the defense in the post-Aaron Donald era. Lake spoke to Verse's quality on and off the field.
"Jared, my locker mate, is one of the most amazing human beings and teammates I have ever been around," wrote Lake. "Sucks that some things are out of players control but love and support is what he needs in this moment. Love my guy to death and can’t wait to see him tear up the league."
Lake began to play the best football of his career once Verse joined the team, with Verse's injection of enthusiasm and power being the perfect pairing to Lake finding a role as the team's slot corner/star. When Lake became the team's signal caller in the middle of 2024, Verse saw a dramatic increase in production and pressure, cementing the relationship between the two.

Even now, roughly 25 years since it ended, wrestling fans regularly yearn for the glory days of WWE's Attitude Era.
Those glory days saw a whole new wave of stars ushered in, led by the beer-chugging, bird-flipping, boss-Stunning, expletive-spouting 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, as the WWE product was pushed to levels of violence, vulgarity, and ******* that the company hadn't seen before or since. Of course, while it's easy to look back on the Attitude Era and think of iconic moments and matches, there was an awful lot of dross in there, too; from the handling of the company's female talent to some frankly absurd storylines, to an overreliance on ridiculously short matches, and plenty of other negatives that could be thrown at WWE when reflecting on this period in wrestling history.
How well do you know your Attitude Era trivia, though?
Are you an expert on those Hardcore ******* le shenanigans? Consider yourself a know-it-all on those early days of SmackDown? Like to rub it in your friends' faces at just how well you remember the Mean Street Posse? How about how the Women's Championship and Light Heavyweight Championships were brought back into the fold after years of being in the wilderness? Whether you lived through it in real time or have gone back to see what all the fuss was about, you'll find all of those topics and more across the following 30 questions.
So with that in mind, then, here's the toughest WWE Attitude Era quiz that you'll find anywhere.
