Definium Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:DFTX) has now delivered a third consecutive positive Phase 3 readout for its LSD-based medication, the second in generalized anxiety disorder. The result puts the company on a viable route toward a potential FDA approval of an LSD-based treatment for generalized anxiety disorder, and considering how closely psychedelic stocks have historically traded on each other's data, the reading carries far more weight than Definium's own ticker.
On September 14, Definium Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:DFTX) announced that its drug DT120, an orally disintegrating tablet formulation of LSD, was successful in Panorama, the company's second late-stage anxiety trial. Over 12 weeks, patients who received a 100-microgram dose experienced a 9.8-point decline on the Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale, a typical clinical measure, compared to a 4.7-point drop with placebo.
The resulting 5.1-point placebo-adjusted improvement is similar to what the company's first pivotal anxiety trial, Voyage, showed back in August: an 11.6-point improvement versus 6.2 for placebo, a 5.4-point separation that Jefferies called one of the strongest placebo-adjusted efficacy results ever seen in generalized anxiety disorder, and that Stifel simply described as "a clean win."
Psychedelic equities have a history of trading as a group rather than as individual names, and this tendency applies both ways. In February 2026, when Compass Pathways, the sector's other clinical leader developing a psilocybin-based drug for treatment-resistant depression, reported positive late-stage data, shares of Definium Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:DFTX), Atai Beckley, GH Research, and Helus Pharma all rose, some by double digits.
That correlation is significant here because Definium's win is an independent validation of the broader therapeutic argument on which Compass and others are betting: a single dose of a classic psychedelic, administered in a controlled clinical setting, can produce lasting improvements in serious mental health conditions via pathways different from existing SSRIs and other standard-of-care drugs.

Sept 18 (Reuters) - US equity funds recorded outflows for a fourth consecutive week in the week to September 18, as rising crude oil prices heightened inflation concerns and expectations of a Federal Reserve rate hike added to investor caution ahead of its policy decision.
US equity funds recorded net redemptions of $31.44 billion during the week, largely matching the $32 billion withdrawn a week earlier, LSEG Lipper data showed.
Crude oil prices rose to four-month highs during the week, fueling inflation concerns and lifting Treasury yields, which weighed on growth-oriented funds.
The Fed raised interest rates by 25 basis points on Wednesday and signaled that further tightening may be needed to curb inflation fueled by higher energy costs linked to the war in Iran.
Investors withdrew $28.71 billion, $1.73 billion and $3.16 billion from US large-cap, mid-cap and multi-cap funds, respectively. In contrast, small-cap funds attracted $568 million in weekly inflows.

Business executives consider artificial intelligence a leading tool for decision-making, with 61% citing large language models such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot among the sources that most influence their strategic decisions, AI enterprise planning platform Board said in a report released Wednesday.
The finding was most ***** ounced among CFOs, with 69% citing LLMs among the resources that inform their decisions, compared with 58% of chief operating officers and 56% of chief information officers.
"CFOs, by nature, are typically a little bit more conservative and skeptical, so I think what this shows is that the AI wave is so strong that it can't be ignored," Board CFO Gordon Pothier said in an interview.
The findings come just a few years after ChatGPT burst onto the market, highlighting how quickly advanced AI tools have reshaped the way businesses operate and make decisions.

American government borrowing costs have risen to a three-year high after a $6bn (£4.4bn) bond market intervention disappointed investors.
The US treasury said on Wednesday it would buy back $6bn in government debt as Scott Bessent, the treasury secretary, tries to suppress high bond yields.
However, the intervention underwhelmed investors and yields rose after the announcement. The interest rate on benchmark 10-year Treasuries rose to 4.85pc, the highest level since late 2023. The cost to borrow over 20 and 30 years also rose sharply.
The jump is a setback for Mr Bessent and Donald Trump, who have both sought to combat a sharp recent rise in US borrowing costs that has put pressure on the White House's economic plans.
It will also likely raise concerns that the global bond sell-off seen last week could reignite.

Harbor Funds, an investment management company, released its Q2 2026 investor letter for "Harbor Mid Cap Value Fund". The letter can be downloaded here. Global equities experienced a sharp rally in Q2 2026, with the S&P 500 returning 15.2%, its strongest quarter since 2020, driven by a shift from software to hardware in the Artificial Intelligence capital spending cycle. Small caps outperformed large caps, with the Russell 2000® gaining 21.5% compared to the Russell 1000's 15.1%. Growth stocks led within large caps, while Information Technology rose about 33%, contributing significantly to the S&P 500's return. The Harbor Mid Cap Value Fund returned 13.99%, outperforming its benchmark, the Russell Midcap Value Index. Strong stock selection in Consumer Discretionary, Real Estate, and Financials contributed positively, although an underweight in Information Technology negatively impacted results. Despite ongoing economic uncertainties, the investment philosophy remains committed to a disciplined value approach. Check the fund's top five holdings for its best picks in 2026.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Harbor Mid Cap Value Fund highlighted Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR). Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR), a US-based independent energy company engages in the acquisition, exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas resources, detracted from the performance during the quarter. On September 04, 2026, Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) closed at $59.15 per share. Over the past month, Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) returned 16.27%, and its shares are up 28.26% over the past year. Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) has a market capitalization of $7.32 billion, and its stock has traded within a 52-week range of $37.14 to $66.84.
Harbor Mid Cap Value Fund stated the following regarding Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Other detractors were Kroger in the Consumer Staples sector and Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) in the Energy sector. Matador Resources fell 20%. ***** ysts downgraded the stock during the quarter as natural gas prices fell and costs increased, squeezing margins."
Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) is not on our list of the 40 Most Popular Stocks Among Hedge Funds. According to our database, 38 hedge fund portfolios held Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) at the end of the second quarter, up from 35 in the previous quarter. While we acknowledge the potential of Matador Resources Company (NYSE:MTDR) as an investment, we believe certain AI stocks offer greater upside potential and carry less downside risk. Wall Street sees a blowout jobs report and spiking Treasury yields as another sign that the Fed is going to have to hike rates to clamp down on inflation.
The US economy added 162,000 jobs last month, blowing past economists' expectations. If the Fed was looking for clues of a slowing economy, this report wasn't it.
"They're a little bit behind the curve," Joe Brusuelas, RSM chief economist, told Yahoo Finance, in reference to the central bank. "They're going to need to hike rates if they want to reinforce their credibility, and that's going to cause a lot of problems at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue."
The Trump administration has been pushing hard for lower rates to bring borrowing costs down and flatten the yield curve, with the president threatening a trade embargo if they don't.

Becoming a millionaire through artificial intelligence (AI) investing doesn't necessarily mean betting on the next big chipmaker; it could mean finding the companies solving the infrastructure bottlenecks behind the boom. These three stocks are powering the AI build-out in different ways, and if the growth continues, they could have serious millionaire-making potential.
Astera Labs (NASDAQ: ALAB) solves a problem **** ody thought about until AI clusters got enormous. When you connect thousands of accelerators, the signal degrades over distance, and the connection between compute and memory becomes the bottleneck rather than the compute itself.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Revenue hit $308.4 million in the first quarter of 2026, up 93% year over year, with gross margin at 76.3%. That margin tells you this is a design business, not a manufacturing one.
Astera Labs' Scorpio product family is worth paying attention to. Management expects it to become the company's largest product line by the end of this year, and the new X-Series 320-lane fabric switch targets a merchant scale-up market projected to reach $20 billion by 2030. Astera also holds a $6.5 billion warrant agreement with Amazon, which aligns a hyperscaler directly with its success.

Amazon's e-commerce revenue will exceed $750 billion this year, surpassing both Exxon and Microsoft in total revenue.
AWS projects $180 billion in 2026 revenue at 40% growth, representing an estimated $2 trillion of Amazon's $3 trillion market cap.
Breaking Amazon into two public companies could let investors separately choose its stable e-commerce and high-growth AWS businesses.

Investors often forget that Amazon (NASDAQ: AMZN) has $700 billion in e-commerce revenue based on its first-half revenue run rate. Since its fourth quarter is by far its largest, the number will probably exceed $750 billion. That will make the e-commerce division as large as Exxon's (NYSE: XOM) total and larger than Microsoft's (NASDAQ: MSFT). In fact, including AWS, Amazon was the No.1 company among the Fortune 500, having passed Walmart (NYSE: WMT) last year.

Descartes Systems Group announced Tuesday that it has acquired Extensiv, a warehouse management and fulfillment tech provider, for $120 million. The deal follows Descartes' $100 million acquisition of Tai last week.
The acquisition was funded with cash on hand.
California-based Extensiv helps 3PLs with inventory management and order fulfillment. It uses AI tools to leverage its omnichannel data and enhance decision making for warehouse operators.
"3PLs are under constant pressure to fulfill faster, scale flexibly, and support the evolving needs of modern brands," said Mikel Richardson, general manager of ecommerce operations at Descartes. … "Extensiv strengthens that position by adding more participants, more contextually rich operational data and fulfillment intelligence to the Descartes Global Logistics Network."
Like the addition of Tai, a TMS provider to freight brokers, the Extensiv deal deepens Descartes' reach into the logistics services provider market. It also builds out its warehousing, inventory management and ecommerce fulfillment offerings.

Andvari **** ociates, an investment management firm, released its first-quarter 2025 investor letter. The letter can be downloaded here. Andvari's portfolio has performed strongly in the quarter, highlighted by Constellation Software's 19.9% revenue growth and its plans to spend on acquisitions in 2026. The company is also focusing on AI tools to enhance productivity and customer relationships. However, the AI sector is experiencing extreme hype, leading to a growing disconnect between valuations and future cash flows. Predictions suggest the AI investment phase may decline in 1-3 years, despite current high demand for AI infrastructure, which is expected to attract significant competition. Concerns about overbuilding and risky financial behaviors, like Oracle's downgraded credit rating amid a $90-$95 billion AI cloud investment, reflect potential pitfalls. Andvari has minimized exposure to this sector, aiming to protect and grow **** ets through disciplined investments in stable industries despite recent underperformance during the AI boom. "Big Short" investor Steve Eisman warned on CNBC's "Fast Money" on August 13 that OpenAI and Anthropic account for roughly 70% of AI-related revenue at Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Oracle, and as much as 25% to 35% of those companies' cloud revenue. "The futures of these massive companies, in a sense, are a bet that OpenAI and Anthropic are going to succeed," Eisman said. He called the concentration the "Achilles' heel" of the AI trade, warning that if something goes wrong at either lab, cheaper Chinese open-weight models could spark a price war across the industry. Eisman said he is not shorting the trade yet, since he wants financial data once the labs go public.
NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) and Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR) sit on opposite sides of that same concentration risk. Nvidia supplies the chips every AI lab needs regardless of who wins, while Palantir is betting that companies want to reduce their reliance on any single AI lab altogether.
Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR)'s results argue against it being just another concentration bet. Revenue rose 93% to $1.94 billion last quarter, beating the $1.80 billion expected. Palantir raised full-year guidance to $8.15-$8.158 billion, its largest-ever raise, the company said. U.S. commercial revenue grew 149% to $764 million, showing broad-based demand.
Palantir's sovereignty pitch carries real weight beyond marketing. CEO Alex Karp wrote that "our customers have declined to become vassal states of the language labs. Karp joined other tech leaders urging the government not to restrict open-weight AI models, widening customer choice beyond the two labs Eisman flagged.
NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA)'s chips stay necessary no matter which lab wins. Every hyperscaler, OpenAI, Anthropic, and any challenger still needs Nvidia hardware. Eisman's warning centers on the labs' finances, not Nvidia's chip business itself.

One of the biggest advantages of ETFs is that they make building a portfolio very simple. With a single stock fund, you could own hundreds, if not thousands, of different companies in one investment. And if you wanted the simplest possible solution, you could own the entire global equity market in just one ETF.
That's what the Vanguard Total World Stock ETF (NYSEMKT: VT) is. It includes more than 10,000 stocks in total, covering companies of all sizes from the United States, developed foreign markets, and emerging markets. If you want the broadest possible coverage of global stocks, it's ideal. But it's not the ideal choice for everyone.
Continue »
If easy investing is your primary goal, there might not be a better ETF to use than this one. You don't have to chase what's hot at the moment or worry about what sector is leading the market. And you don't need to think about whether it's time to diversify internationally. You already own it all -- nearly every investable stock, industry, and region of the world.
Because it's market cap-weighted, you're still more heavily invested in the global economy's giants, including Microsoft, Apple, and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing. There's no concern that you're missing out on the giants driving economic growth right now. But you're also able to capture performance in case the economy changes or other areas of the world begin to lead.

Every quarter, big money managers disclose their holdings on Form 13F with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The batch of filings covering last quarter is now available. Shockingly, they show that the number of financial institutions holding Hyperliquid Strategies (NASDAQ: PURR), which stockpiles Hyperliquid's (CRYPTO: HYPE) token, grew by 122% in just three months to reach a total of 202, with BlackRock and State Street among the largest. Eleven institutions cut their positions in the same period, and another 29 exited entirely.

A big part of the reason many institutions are now holding Hyperliquid Strategies is that it joined the S&P Global Broad Market Index, as well as the Russell 2000 and Russell 3000 indexes, in late June. So any funds tracking those benchmarks had to buy it.
For instance, BlackRock's stake in the company was disclosed via a Form 13G, a passive holder disclosure form, while Morgan Stanley and Invesco built index-scale positions of their own. Citadel Advisors, a market maker, holds more bullish and more bearish options on the stock than any other filer, suggesting it was accumulating market-making inventory rather than loading up on conviction. The same could be true of Jane Street, another market maker among the new holders, though not necessarily of Renaissance Technologies, a systematic hedge fund.

At least one Wall Street ******* yst is skeptical that private equity firm Silver Lake will pull off a deal to acquire software maker Workday (WDAY). Workday stock popped on Feb. 13 amid reports of Silver Lake's interest but has cooled off the next two trading sessions.
In early 2026, Workday Cofounder and Executive Chairman Aneel Bhusri returned as chief executive officer. Slowing subscription revenue growth has pressured Workday stock. UBS ******* yst Karl Keirstead in a report on Monday said that private equity firm Silver Lake in unlikely to buy out the enterprise software maker.
"From the perspective of Workday, the founder only returned to the CEO role in February with an apparent mission to invest in the AI suite and accelerate growth," Keirstead said. "For him (and the board) to turn around in a matter of months and negotiate a sale, at a historically depressed free cash flow multiple and before any material time for Workday to realize any upside from these investments, strikes us as very surprising."
Second-quarter earnings are due for Workday stock on Aug. 27.
Other software stocks, including SAP (SAP) and Oracle (ORCL), climbed last week amid speculation over a Workday buyout. There has been growing investor concern that software-as-a-service companies could be disrupted by artificial intelligence-driven competition, an event referred to as a" SaaSpocalypse."

VMFXX earns roughly 4% on short-term Treasuries while charging just 0.11% in fees, versus the FDIC national CD average of under 2%.

Don't wait: the **** yst who called NVIDIA in 2010 just revealed his top 10 AI stocks. See the full list FREE now.
If you opened a Vanguard brokerage account and never picked a "cash" option, your uninvested dollars almost certainly landed in the Vanguard Federal Money Market Fund (NASDAQ:VMFXX). That default status means it holds more idle cash than any investor consciously chose to put there, and in the current rate environment, that corner of your account generates real yield on Treasury bills instead of the near-zero return a checking account pays.
VMFXX is Vanguard's flagship government money market fund and the automatic settlement vehicle for most Vanguard retail brokerage accounts. It invests in short-dated U.S. government securities, primarily Treasury bills and repurchase agreements collateralized by government paper, with an expense ratio of 0.11%. Because it is the fund your cash gets swept into by default, most holders own it without comparing it to alternatives.
