Manchester City have already broken their transfer record this summer and seen a number of high-profile exits, but more activity is still expected.
After a decade with Pep Guardiola in charge, this summer will be one of the most transformative in recent memory at the Etihad Stadium. Enzo Maresca, the Catalan's former ******* istant and ex-Chelsea boss, has formally arrived as his successor.
The Italian has insisted he will not 'try to copy' Guardiola, although he would surely love to enjoy similar success. There have already been numerous adjustments made as City and Maresca build their squad ahead of the new season.
Guardiola was not the only key figure to say farewell to the Etihad at the end of last season. After nine and ten years respectively at the club, both Bernardo Silva and John Stones also said goodbye, as their contracts expired. The former has now joined Real Madrid, with the latter set to sign for Inter Milan.
Meanwhile, Nathan Ake quietly joined Fenerbahce during the World Cup and Manuel Akanji's permanent transfer to Inter was confirmed.

The Denver Broncos open training camp this week with high expectations.
Veterans report on July 28 after a successful 2025 season that saw them win the AFC West and earn the No. 1 seed in the conference. Most of the core roster returns under head coach Sean Payton, and the team should feel confident about repeating as division champions.
Yet several key jobs and depth chart spots remain undecided. Numerous position battles will play a major role in shaping the 2026 roster, and they could also determine how far this talented group advances in the playoffs.
The biggest hole sits on the defensive line.
Most importantly, John Franklin-Myers left in free agency. He delivered strong interior pressure and helped the Broncos lead the league in quarterback hits last season. His departure creates a sizable gap in the rotation. The unit must maintain its disruptive force against both the run and the pass.

UEFA has just issued a new statement condemning the deadline FIFA has set for federations to back its commercial plan or be excluded from the one-off payment if they reject the proposal.
For UEFA, that ultimatum "says it all" about the plan's true intentions. The organization argues that FIFA is using football to enrich itself and its friends.
The statement says that UEFA has held talks with numerous stakeholders from across the football world. According to the body, there is "significant and growing" opposition to the plan among those actors.
UEFA argues that football can grow "in the right way," without resorting to this kind of financial pressure on federations. It calls for priority to be given to federations, clubs, leagues, players, and fans.
The standoff adds to the growing tension between UEFA and FIFA over the plan to open up to private investors. The two bodies are thus facing a new chapter in their clash over commercial control of football.

Well this is a peculiar first move for trade deadline season. Jake Rogers, the longest tenured Detroit Tigers player, has been designated for ***** ignment. Eduardo Valencia was recalled on Sunday and will be taking over the backup catcher duties. Rogers' roster spot will go to Javier Báez, who returns from a three-month absence after suffering a high ankle sprain at the end of April.
The 31-year-old Rogers made his major league debut with the Tigers back on July 30, 2019 after coming to the Tigers in the trade that sent Justin Verlander to the Houston Astros in August of 2017. He finally became the Tigers primary catcher in 2021 before tearing his UCL and requiring reconstruction surgery that cost him all of the 2022 season. In 2023 and 2024 Rogers put together good seasons based around his defensive ability, plate discipline, and the occasional burst of home run power. He was worth 4.7 fWAR across those two years, but since that point his offensive contributions collapsed as Dillon Dingler took over the everyday catching role. This season, Rogers' defense finally showed real signs of cracking as well. He's hitting .161/.266/.301 for a 60 wRC+ which ranks him 48th out of 59 catchers with 100 plate appearances or more this season.
Despite his struggles, two part-time White Sox catchers, and numerous others, are even worse offensive players than Rogers. It won't be a surprise if he gets claimed, but it's too bad no one would flip a lottery ticket prospect to acquire him. The problem is that Rogers defensive numbers have declined this year and he's finally grading out a little below average as a defender. Whether that's partly the result of lack of playing time is hard to say, but hopefully he'll be claimed somewhere. If he clears waivers and is outrighted the Tigers will still be on the hook for the rest of his $3.05M salary for 2026.
Valencia is far and away a better hitter than Rogers, so that should provide a little support to the offense. On the other hand, Valencia isn't that good behind the plate, particularly in terms of holding opponents' running game in check. Still with Rogers defensive numbers in decline, perhaps Valencia won't do worse.
Getting Báez back could be pretty helpful to the Tigers although it's just funny to look at Báez as a way to trim strikeouts in the lineup by taking over some of the workload from James Outman. It will be interesting to see how he's deployed. With Kerry Carpenter out with a foot injury, the outfield needs help. It needed help anyway. We'll see if Báez is back to full speed and can get back to playing a solid enough center field. If he's back to 100 percent, that also gives the Tigers options, with Báez getting some time at shortstop and around the infield to get another right-handed bat into the lineup. Either way, it's good to have Javy Báez back, and hopefully further support for the outfield isn't too far away as Max Clark will be available to be called up without spoiling his 2027 rookie eligibi

The physical infrastructure enabling artificial intelligence requires considerably more than just high-performance accelerators and primary grid connections. It also relies on millions of high-density connectors, backplane interconnects, and power-filtering devices to connect rack-level structures, areas where TE Connectivity plc (NYSE:TEL) holds a significant bottleneck position. As hyperscalers and enterprise data center operators ramp up capital expenditure deployment around the world, demand for critical electrical connector systems has transformed from a passive secondary tailwind to a direct beneficiary of the AI growth cycle.
The company's fiscal third-quarter 2026 report showed this demand in real time, with record top-line performance, order velocity, and profitability. Despite exceeding Wall Street expectations in every fundamental indicator, shares fell roughly 7% following the release, indicating the market's focus on sequential forecast trends over historical trailing figures.
Operational execution in the third quarter set new highs across numerous business areas. Net revenue increased 14% year-over-year to $5.16 billion, above Wall Street expectations by more than 3%. Adjusted earnings per share rose 22% year-over-year to $2.94, exceeding the average estimate of $2.85. The report's defining metric was order flow, which increased 27% year-over-year to a record $5.7 billion, reflecting over $1 billion in incremental booking expansion vs. the prior year period. Meanwhile, profitability increased significantly, with adjusted operating margins improving 90 basis points to 22% and quarterly free cash flow totaling $883 million.
The underlying sector distribution highlights where AI momentum is growing the fastest. Industrial Solutions revenue increased 22% year-over-year to $2.58 billion, driven mainly by data center rack deployments and energy infrastructure growth. Chief Executive Officer Terrence Curtin stated that AI cloud momentum is far above initial multi-year predictions, with data center connection and power distribution orders rising more than 70% year-to-date.
Moreover, to back up its power-handling portfolio, TE Connectivity plc (NYSE:TEL) signed a $1.4 billion formal agreement to acquire Astrodyne TDI. The acquisition includes specialized power management and electromagnetic filtering solutions for critical industrial, semiconductor, and defense applications, providing approximately $250 million in annual revenue to the Industrial Solutions segment once completed.

Zinédine Zidane has been officially introduced today by French FA president Philippe Diallo as Didier Deschamps' successor in the dugout for Les Bleus.Zidane faced the media this morning at the French FA's Parisian headquarters alongside Diallo. The former Real Madrid head coach has penned a four-year contract with France.
Diallo has explained that he initiated contact with Zidane in February 2025, a couple of weeks after Deschamps made official his decision to step down as manager after the 2026 World Cup. Zidane started his remarks by sending a message of support to the firefighters battling massive forest fires in southwestern France as well as a congratulatory message to his predecessor, Deschamps.
Zidane went on to say, that during his five-year break from management, he turned down numerous proposals because he only had the France job on his mind. "I turned them all down for the French national team, because it's the only thing I wanted to do after my experience at Real Madrid. The only thing that motivates me is being able to work for this team and for it to continue winning." Zidane added that today was the best day of his coaching career.

AC Milan's Serie A campaign begins on 23 August, with an away trip to face Ignazio Abate's Torino. One curious statistic links the Rossoneri's last three league visits to Turin: each match featured a penalty. Yet AC Milan only came away victorious when the spot-kick was awarded to the opposition, in one of football's many quirks. The sequence began in February 2025. Torino took the lead through an own goal before referee Simone Sozza awarded AC Milan a first-half penalty. Christian Pulisic stepped up, but Milinković-Savić produced an excellent save. Despite creating numerous chances and eventually finding an equaliser, the Rossoneri ultimately fell to a 2-1 defeat.
A different outcome followed a few months later, in early October 2025, when referee Marco Guida pointed to the spot during Juventus vs AC Milan with the score still goalless. Once again, Pulisic took the penalty, but his effort drifted narrowly wide, and the match finished 0-0. Two months later, it was back to Turin once more. Early in the game between Torino and AC Milan, referee Chiffi awarded a penalty to the hosts. Vlašić converted to give Torino the lead, but after a dramatic and eventful contest, the Rossoneri fought back to secure a 3-2 victory. The penalty spot has also featured prominently in Mike Maignan's summer, who began his World Cup campaign by saving Erling Strand Larsen's penalty in France's victory over Norway. Before that save on the world stage, Maignan had already denied Dybala and Çalhanoğlu from the spot in Serie A, while the only players to beat him were Pellegrini (Roma) and Vlašić (Torino, twice).

One of the largest nuclear verdicts in history against trucking was handed down Thursday in a Dallas courtroom, a more than $600 million judgement that has quickly thrust C.H. Robinson into the post-Montgomery legal landscape.
A jury in Dallas County Court handed down a verdict of approximately $604 million in a case involving a March 2021 crash in Jackson, Mississippi. The case was filed in the Texas courtroom because the carrier whose truck was involved in the wreck, Lupus Superior, is based there.
C.H. Robinson (NASDAQ: CHRW) hired Lupus Superior to move products from Arizona Beverages.
Three persons were killed in the crash alongside numerous injuries to other automobile passengers in a pileup that occurred after a Lupus Superior truck driven by its employee, Gorgonio Gonzalez, plowed into several cars. Gonzalez also was killed in the crash.
The lead named plaintiff in the case is the estate of Peyton Lipe, who was one of the deceased.

One NFC scout compared University of Texas quarterback Arch Manning -- the nephew of Peyton Manning -- to current Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones.
ESPN NFL draft ******* yst Jordan Reid recently spoke with numerous talent evaluators, discussing the 2027 draft class, which has a lot of hype.
So, naturally, when discussing the quarterbacks, Manning's name came up. However, in the scout's comparison to Jones, that wasn't the most glowing comparison.
"Everyone's falling in love with the future vision of the player, and he simply hasn't shown anything close to that right now," an NFC scout told Reid. "I see Daniel Jones when I watch him -- a good, not great, prospect."
As Reid wrote, last season was a "tale of two seasons" for Manning, who, after a slow start, began to turn this around, with his "field vision and mechanics" improving.

A former Husker announced his retirement from the NFL on Wednesday night. Tight end Travis Vokolek made the announcement on Instagram that he is medically retiring.
Vokolek suffered a neck injury last season while playing for the Arizona Cardinals. He was the third-string tight end for the Cardinals and played a part on special teams. Vokolek spent two seasons with Arizona after initially going undrafted as a free agent to the Baltimore Ravens. He played in five games for the Cardinals and totaled two solo tackles.
"After numerous visits with doctors and neurologists over the past couple of months, I have been advised to medically retire from the NFL due to a serious neck injury that I suffered this past season," he wrote in his post. "I am extremely grateful and blessed to have been able to live out my childhood dream of playing football at the highest level for the past three years. Football has taught me many life lessons and given me unforgettable memories."
Vokolek played three seasons at Nebraska after transferring from Rutgers in 2019. In his final season for the Huskers, he played in 10 games and set career highs with 20 catches, 240 receiving yards and two touchdowns. In his Nebraska career, Vokolek tallied 458 receiving yards and two touchdowns off 40 catches.

When we think about the major global automakers these days, many investors forget all about Stellantis (NYSE: STLA), while General Motors (NYSE: GM) and Ford Motor Company (NYSE: F) remain hot topics. It's understandable, considering Stellantis' declining relevance in multiple markets, lack of a true branding identity, and numerous management missteps. No doubt, Stellantis has many, many issues to fix in the coming years to regain lost global notoriety. That said, the company could be in oversold territory, and Wall Street forward estimates suggest ***** ysts are in "prove it" mode regarding the company's massive $70 billion turnaround plan. Here's a look at how Stellantis is poised to outperform its rivals over the next five years.
Over the past three years, General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis have traded in completely different trajectories. GM has been thriving, and its stock has doubled over the past three years, while Ford has essentially remained flat, but Stellantis checked in with a staggering near 70% decline. To get a better idea of just how much value Stellantis has shed, take a look at this next graph.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Not only does Stellantis' market cap equal a fraction of rivals GM or Ford, but it has also even sunk below that of young electric vehicle (EV) maker Rivian (NASDAQ: RIVN). That's right; Stellantis, a global automaker with millions of shipments annually, has a market cap below Rivian, which only sells four electric vehicles and has only achieved its first full year of gross profitability in 2025, and remains a long way away from net profitability.
Roughly a decade ago, Stellantis, then operating as Fiat Chrysler Automobiles in this reference, was peaking in the U.S. market. By 2019, however, its market share began a sharp decline that would last until about 2023, before leveling off over the next couple of years. This is the first year investors are seeing life from its core Jeep and Ram brands in North America.

The 2026 Tour de France will meet the famous 21 hairpins of Alpe d’Huez on Friday, in the first of two back-to-back days scaling the famous peak. But it is the second journey, up the lesser travelled Col de Sarenne, which has provoked protest, a petition and criticism of race organisers.
The route for this year’s Tour was announced at a Paris ceremony last October. Saturday’s stage 20 immediately stood out, partly as a rare double ascent of Alpe d’Huez, perhaps the most famous mountain in Tour de France lore; and partly because the stage is brutal in its own right. It features 5,000m of elevation gain over four Tour behemoths: the Croix de Fer, the Col du Telegraphe, Col du Galibier, and finally the Col de Sarenne – the eastern back road up the Alpe – before an undulating final 14km to the finish, via the final four hairpins of the traditional route.
The Col de Sarenne is an unusual pass for the Tour to tackle. This is the first time it has been used as an ascent, after it was used once as a descent in 2013. The debate back then was about rider safety, with sheer drops either side of the narrow, uneven path near the top, and hay bales were hastily planted along the road’s edge to protect a disgruntled peloton.
Ahead of this year’s return to the Col de Sarenne, environmentalists have led protests against race organiser ASO and its decision to send the world’s biggest bike race over the Sarenne pass in the Ferrand Valley, part of Ecrins National Park and an ecologically sensitive area.
A petition which garnered more than 15,000 signatures called for the stage to be re-routed away from the “beautiful and wild” area, which the petition stresses is home to numerous animals including stoats, marmots, foxes, chamois, eagles, bearded vultures, ptarmigan, rock partridges and the rare black grouse, whose chicks hatch in July.

The fight game is an unforgiving one.

Per MMA Junkie on Thursday, PFL DC will no longer feature Thad Jean(10-0) vs. ShamilMusaev (18-1-1) in the main attraction. For currentlyundisclosed reasons, Musaev has been forced to withdraw from hiswelterweight championship affair headlining the card at theCareFirst Arena in the U.S. Capitol. In the Russian's stead will beErnestoRodriguez (11-1), who first postedof his change in opponent and vastly elevated stakes on Wednesdaynight—he was expecting to battle AaronMcKenzie—and then fully confirmedthe news shortly after its announcement. Jean did as well shortlythereafter on his InstagramStories.

This is one of numerous cancelations on fight week and earlier, asathletes MagomedUmalatov, JackCartwright, DenisGoltsov, BrunoCappelozza and MandoGutierrez were all booked for this fight card at one time. Dueto a number of largely undeclared reasons—Cappelozza encounteredissues with his visa—all of those combatants and their scheduledpairings have either been canceled or switched around on this cardor to another. For instance, Cappelozza vs. hasbeen **** ped to PFL Charlotte in August. The current PFL DC lineup sees eightmatches remaining, although the promotion has not indicated if anylate-notice fights will be slotted on the billing.

The thing I hate about this time of year is that it means the entire soccer world becomes an Umberto Eco novel. Every little thing is weighted with significance, evidence of some larger narrative that only the most psychotically semiotic can follow. Speculation becomes rumor becomes fact until everything spirals out of control. Sweaty access merchants like Fabrizio Romanò breathlessly publish statements from agents as "news" as if there's the quid isn't vastly outweighed by the quo. It's discouraging to sift through and infuriating to write about. And alas, I have to wade into this meritless swamp to write about Moise Kean.
Let's start with the basics. Kean is in his prime at 26. He's under contract at Fiorentina until 2030 after extending last summer despite months of speculation. He's Italy's best striker and the only guy who came out of its failed World Cup qualifying campaign with an enhanced reputation. 2025-2026 was a down year at domestic level (8 Serie A goals in 26 appearances) as he dealt with ankle and calf injuries that sapped his effectiveness all year as well as a team context that polluted everyone it touched. ****** ody thinks that version of the Moose is the real one, although his outrageous 2024-2025 is probably the ceiling rather than the norm.
As Fiorentina's best player, he was always going to be a popular grist for the rumor mill this summer. New DS Fabio Paratici is tearing this squad down to the foundation, ruthlessly excising anyone with the slightest odor of Daniele Pradè in his quest to reduce the wage bill. Having nearly set the club record for most expensive transfer window in the opening fortnight of the transfer window and with numerous additions pending, he needs to find money somewhere. Kean's the highest-paid guy on the roster and its most saleable ****** et. The math is simple.
Besides being simple, the math also just got cheaper. Kean's extension last summer contained a €72 million release clause that extended for 365 days. It's now expired, intensifying speculation that he could be on the move. The consensus price that the Viola would accept hovers around €40 million. I'd say that's about reasonable, although perhaps a bit on the low side, especially factoring in Paratici's need to balance the books after spending €90 million already. And hey, he already sold Kean at Juventus in 2019 for €30 million.
Speaking of big transfer fees, Como's reportedly at the window, fueling speculation that the nouveau rich Lariani might make a bid for the striker. On the surface, it adds up: Tasos Douvikas was excellent last year but Kean represents a step up in quality from the Greek international, while Álvaro Morata is 33 and on the wane despite his popularity with his teammates. Como also needs to add more players trained in Italy to meet UEFA's registration rules for the Champions League (unless the plan is to ignore those like it does FFP). Never mind the reporting that Como's only vaguely interested; something must be

Roma’s transfer market is experiencing one of its most heated phases: after seeing Greenwood, Garnacho, and Summerville all disappear at once, the Giallorossi must now seriously push to give Gasperini the four signings he has repeatedly requested.
Tony D’Amico continues to have a large list of names, especially in attack. But given the current situation, one of the key players in that department for next season could be Matias Soulè.
According to Il Messaggero, the Argentine’s chances of wearing the Giallorossi jersey for a long time to come are high, despite numerous transfer rumors suggesting several teams have their eye on him.
Gasperini is looking for strikers with different characteristics than the Mar de la Plata native, but this doesn’t rule out Gasperini’s desire to entrust him with the key to the attack next year.
Furthermore, it’s important to emphasize that, despite interest from several clubs, the 2003-born player has always put Roma first and has never considered leaving the capital. Soulè is still eager to prove himself, and Roma is ready to offer him the right platform to shine.

TimesofIndia.com in London: The summer of cricket continues unabated in England. The men played three Tests against New Zealand and five T20Is and three ODIs against India. As for the women, there was the T20 World Cup and the one-off Test between India and England. And now, it is the turn of The Hundred, which began on July 21.

The Hundred, the unique tournament featuring 100-ball innings, is back with its sixth edition. Much has changed, and yet not a lot has changed. It still has eight teams, still features 100-ball innings where bowlers can bowl spells of five or 10 consecutive ****** , and is still objectively meant to quicken the game and feature double headers - men and women - on the same day.

On the opening day, defending men's champions MI London beat Sunrisers Leeds at The Oval. In the day's first game, Sunrisers edged MI London by 7 wickets in the women's competition. A day later, in Southampton, Southern Brave women narrowly got the better of Welsh Fire. And the men's match later in the day had the reverse outcome.

What's changed is the ownership, the team names, and the kit designs. After an influx of £520 million into The Hundred, the Ambani family acquired Oval Invincibles (now renamed MI London), Sun Group purchased Northern Superchargers (now SunRisers Leeds), and RPSG Group bought Manchester Originals (now Manchester Super Giants). GMR Group, co-owners of the Delhi Capitals, have taken a 49% stake in Southern Brave.

On the opening day of the season at The Oval, the mood was as relaxed as one would expect at this time of year. The sun was out, and it was a pleasant day, away from the baking heat that this country had seen in the last couple of months. Even though it was a weekday, families were out in numbers, making the most of numerous entry points that get you into this cricket stadium in Kennington.

A venue that has seen three consecutive Test defeats for the hosts. It was here just a month ago that New Zealand walloped England by 253 runs. And it was here just about a year ago that Mohammed Siraj bowled with great fire to help India secure a series-levelling win by just 6 runs.

But now, on a Tuesday, The Hundred got underway, and the buzz was equal parts cricket, family and entertainment. A father, holding the hands of two of his kids, walked around and sought the support of a steward in finding the “family section.” Unlike international cricket, where tickets get sold for £100 or more, The Hundred hopes to bring in the masses with reasonable pricing.

With kids two and under going free, tickets for 3-15-year-olds are worth £5, and tickets for adults start from as little as £14. So, an entire young family could see two consecutive cricket matches, spanning about five hours or over, for £30-40.

To unwind after a long day at work, numerous food carts, kiosks and drinks stalls came to the rescue. From Middle Eastern to fast food to Indian, everything was on offer to suit the palates of the patrons. To

MercadoLibre (NASDAQ: MELI) has prospered by transforming e-commerce, fintech, and logistics within Latin America. Investors have bid its stock price dramatically higher since its 2007 debut, as the company brought online shopping, digital financial transactions, and improved logistics to the region.
Nonetheless, the market has punished MercadoLibre stock over the past year, and it now trades at a 30% discount to its 52-week high. Investors appeared to sour on the stock because its profit growth was not matching its robust revenue increases. While getting the earnings trajectory back on track will be a challenge, if it can increase its profit growth rate over the next five years, the stock price will likely soar.

On paper, the Washington Commanders' offensive line should be a team strength in 2026. At left tackle, the Commanders have the NFL's highest-paid offensive lineman, Laremy Tunsil, with 2025 first-round pick Josh Conerly Jr. on the opposite side at right tackle.
The Commanders also have Sam Cosmi at guard, with Brandon Coleman and Chris Paul battling it out at the other guard spot. There's truly only one question on Washington's offensive line in 2026: can Nick Allegretti adequately replace Tyler Biadasz at center?
While the Commanders feel great about their offensive line, numerous ******* ysts have ranked Washington's offensive line among the 10 worst in the league going into 2026. Is that fair? It doesn't seem like it, because many haven't taken into account how much better Conerly played in the second half of last season after a rough start.
With training camp set to open next week, let's look at Washington's offensive line ahead of training camp.

USC is one of the most decorated programs in college football history. Naturally, then, the Trojans have some of the best traditions and game day experiences in the sport.
This week, USA TODAY revealed the ballot for the USA TODAY Sports Readers’ Choice Awards. Fans have the opportunity to vote on numerous college football superlatives, including best stadium, best fight song, and best tailgating experience.
Not surprisingly, USC is represented fairly heavily on the ballot. The Trojans’ nominees include the Coliseum for best college football stadium, USC for best tailgating experience, the drum major stabbing the field pregame for best walk-out tradition, the University of Southern California for best college for sports fans, Traveler for best mascot, and “Fight On” for best fight song.
However, there is one glaring omission. Somehow, The Spirit of Troy is not on the list of nominees for best college marching band. Given the band’s three iconic fight songs, two platinum albums with Fleetwood Mac, its streak of having attended every USC football game (excluding the 2020 COVID season) since 1987 and history of having performed at numerous massive events around the world, not including “Hollywood’s Band” on the ballot makes absolutely zero sense.
While USC fans have every right to be upset about the Trojan Marching Band getting snubbed, they can vote for USC in the other categories here.

Most recently, Klask spent eight seasons with the Denver Nuggets as an ***** istant coach, helping develop players like three-time MVP big man Nikola Jokić, while being on staff for the franchise's first championship in 2023.
The hiring of Klask is the second confirmed coaching change this offseason for Sprinkle. It follows the addition of ex-Marquette ***** istant coach DeAndre Haynes, giving Sprinkle a wealth of experience joining his bench for the 2026-27 men's basketball season as the third-year coach aims to return UW to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 2019 under former coach Mike Hopkins.
Having coached numerous All-Star-caliber players in the NBA over his two-plus decades spent in the league—Blake Griffin, Chauncey Billups, and Andre Drummond, among several others—the addition of the Big Ten alum should blend well with a veteran-laden roster that features seven juniors and seniors.

TSG Hoffenheim pulled off a major coup when they announced the signing of 18-year-old Nathan De Cat from RSC Anderlecht for a reported €20 million fee earlier this month.
According to Sport Bild, numerous top clubs were interested in De Cat, including Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Chelsea, but the highly-rated midfielder opted to continue his development at Hoffenheim.
De Cat signed a long-term contract with the Bundesliga club until 2031, but whether he stays that long is highly doubtful – especially given that, according to Sport Bild, his contract includes a €70 million release clause that becomes active in the summer of 2027.
Despite only recently turning 18, De Cat made 53 appearances for Anderlecht’s first team. He also made his senior international debut for Belgium in March.

Heartland Value Fund stated the following regarding Photronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLAB) in its Q2 2026 investor update:
At the same time, we've been finding plenty of segments of the market where the AI herd hasn't been roaming. In the second quarter, we added to 51 of our existing positions across numerous sectors, including Energy, Financials, Health Care, Communications, Real Estate, and Industrials. When we do buy, we're not simply deploying flows or chasing parts of the market that are making new highs. We are adding exposure in securities that we believe are attractively priced and still represent a good risk/reward balance.
A good example is Photronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:PLAB). Earlier this year, we reduced our stake in PLAB, a leading manufacturer of photomasks that are used to transfer circuit patterns onto semiconductor wafers and flat panel substrates during the fabrication process. The shares more than doubled from December to May, and we felt the stock was getting caught up in the mania surrounding the AI buildout, so we took some money off the table as it reached our price target..."
