One name in fantasy football that isn't being talked about much is Carolina Panthers WR Jalen ****** er. That's mainly because of the team surrounding ****** er, but might Carolina be an offense on the rise? The Panthers have a decent young group headlined by QB Bryce Young and WR Tetairoa McMillan. As ****** er enters Year 3 in the NFL, it may be time for a breakout campaign.
Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2026 NFL season
Here to discuss ****** er's outlook for the 2026 season are new Yahoo ****** ysts Josh Norris and Hayden Winks, celebrating their inaugural show for Yahoo Fantasy. The pair were joined by Yahoo Fantasy Forecast host Matt Harmon to get things started. You can look forward to more content all season long from Josh and Hayden, from the lead up to your draft through the regular season and offseason. Check out their YouTube channel here.
Harmon thinks ****** er is a great receiver and it's just taken him a bit longer to adjust to the NFL game coming from Holy Cross at the collegiate level. Harmon compares ****** er's body type to that of Chris Godwin Jr. or Jakobi Meyers. Two receivers we've seen have fantasy football success in the past five years.
Coker has only made it to 11 games in each of his two NFL seasons. Health has been an issue but he's made strides to get his body right. Last season, ****** er had 33 catches for 394 yards and three scores. While the regular season was uninspiring from a fantasy standpoint, the ****** ysts point out the playoff game vs. the Rams. ****** er had a 9-134-1 line on 12 targets against Los Angeles in the Panthers' near upset win.

On Wednesday, Texas A&M coach Mike Elko, alongside quarterback Marcel Reed, safety Marcus Ratcliffe, and linebacker Daymion Sanford, spoke to the local and national media during SEC Media Days, and after suffering what looked like a serious lower-body injury during the Maroon & White Game, Daymion Sanford, who is entering his senior season, has already graduated from his walking boot after undergoing surgery this summer.
On track to potentially return to the field earlier than expected, Sanford stated on Wednesday that he is already running again, while his recovery was "more of a mindset thing" the required plenty of patience without affecting his return timeline, while steadfast support from Mike Elko, and knowing that the Aggie linebacker rotation is in good shape with transfer Ray Coney and rising sophomore Noah Mikhail leading the way before he returns.
"I think it's going to be pretty difficult," Sanford stated. "But it's more of a mindset thing that I've learned throughout this process. You have to celebrate the small wins every day and make yourself feel good. So I've been celebrating the small wins, like being able to walk again, being able to get out of the brace, being able to run, stuff like that."
During the first portion of his Q&A with the local Aggie media, Sanford was asked which defensive player on the roster is under the radar entering the 2026 season, and while a long list of returning players could have been named, Sanford chose Illinois transfer defensive tackle Angelo McCullom, who reportedly hit a new bench press personal record of 470 pounds.
While North Carolina transfer defensive tackle CJ Mims is expected to start at nose tackle, McCullom, who appeared in 12 games at nose tackle last season, recording 19 tackles and 2 sacks, will serve as his primary backup. Per Pro Football Focus, McCullom finished the year with a solid 70.3 run defense grade.

MANHATTAN — Folks, it really was a great year in sports, even for those of us who aren't regularly paying attention: The underdog New York Knicks won the NBA Finals, Shohei Ohtani defied baseball physics, and the Olympics introduced the masses to our new national treasure, Alysa Liu.
I spent a soggy, smoky night celebrating it all with some of the tallest and most talented people in the country at the 2026 ESPY Awards, hosted by comedian Marcello Hernández at Lincoln Center.
As someone who observes sports more from a cultural angle than a technical one, I admit I find most of the fun of televised competition to be the emotion and drama of it all (besides the whole "who's going to win" element). I also only learned that "ESPY" stands for "Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly" last night. I still had an amazing time.
Here's what I observed as an in-person attendee at the ESPYs that you might not have picked up during the televised broadcast on ESPN.
When I arrived at the theater for the red carpet, the air was heavy with wildfire smoke and the humidity of an impending deluge. Sure enough, it poured. The nasty summer storm cost everyone about an hour of interview time, but fortunately, I got to spend that time indoors chatting with Yahoo's correspondent for the night: Jazzy, a delightfully brilliant 16-year-old journalist. We spent a while fantasizing about the snacks we wished we had brought, and she recommended I try putting Flamin' Hot Cheetos in the freezer for 15 minutes, which I will be doing next time I anticipate being grumpy and impatient.

While celebrating WNBA All-Star Weekend in Chicago with Panini America, Las Vegas Aces forward NaLyssa Smith reflected on seeing herself on a trading card, how it feels to see fans collecting cards, and how A'ja Wilson's mentorship has helped her embrace the Aces' winning culture and grow her game.
During an exclusive chat with The Blast, Smith also shared her thoughts on Flavor Flav's SHE Weekend and how he included the Aces, what she thought about LeBron James' big move, and where her favorite spot is in Las Vegas when she's not on the court.
The Aces forward joined Panini America at All-Star Weekend to meet fans, open packs, and sign Panini cards. According to Panini America, they are hosting NaLyssa Smith and other players and legends at WNBA Live in Chicago surrounding WNBA All-Star Weekend. "Panini's activation will offer fans custom Panini WNBA digital trading cards, exclusive trading card packs, and surprise player meet-and-greets. Autographed memorabilia from Panini's collection will also be on display for fans to see," a Panini representative told The Blast.
Smith took some time out of her day during All-Star Weekend on Friday to sign Panini cards for fans. She said the best part is getting to meet everyone.
"I think it's been [partnering with Panini] huge," she told The Blast exclusively. "I love always getting to interact with fans, so having an opportunity to spread that joy and just have people come out and get their cards signed, I think it's been huge."

Super Micro Computer Inc. (NASDAQ:SMCI) gave investors conflicting figures in its Q4 preliminary update on July 21. Fiscal Q4 revenue is expected near the bottom of its $11 billion to $12.5 billion guidance, below the $11.67 billion **** yst consensus, yet shares jumped 17.5% after hours. Our take is that the market was not celebrating sales; rather, it was repricing how much profit Supermicro might extract from them.
Supermicro now expects both GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins of 15% to 17%, almost twice its previous 8.2% to 8.4% forecast. At $11 billion of revenue, the new range implies roughly $1.65 billion to $1.87 billion of gross profit, compared with $902 million to $924 million under the old forecast. Even the low end of the new range exceeds the high end of the old one by about $726 million.
The reversal follows gross margins of only 6.3% in fiscal Q2 and 9.9% in Q3. Management attributed it to favorable customer and product mix. That can explain one quarter, but not yet a durable change. Mix can reverse quickly.

Supermicro received more than $60 billion of new orders during fiscal Q4 and ended the year with record backlog. The orders are expected to ship over future quarters, giving the company strong demand visibility despite revenue landing near the bottom of its current-quarter guidance. Supermicro's immediate challenge would be converting high demand into revenue without sacrificing its improved margins.

Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl officials are celebrating 50 years of competition this year and they're doing it in a big way.
The organization is releasing the top 50 all-time players in I-Bowl history and they're releasing them in five-player increments. The list was voted on by a local panel of media members, including the Shreveport Times, and I-Bowl representatives.
The latest group of Nos. 36-40 on the all-time list include Bossier High/Louisiana Tech standout Weldon Brown and one of the most recognizable names to play in the I-Bowl in Virginia's Tiki Barber.
Numbers 36 through 40 on the Independence Bowl's All-Time Team include:
Barber might be one of the biggest household names on the all-time list, but before turning himself into the 14th greatest New York Giant of all-time, he played in the 1994 I-Bowl against TCU. He had three carries for 18 yards, three receptions for 2 yards and an 18-yard kickoff return. Barber had a highly successful college career for the Cavaliers, as evidenced by his No. 21 jersey being retired by Virginia, his selection to the ACC's 50th Anniversary Team, and his induction into the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame in 2011. Barber was named ACC Player of the Year in 1996 after rushing for 1,360 yards and 14 touchdowns (TDs). Drafted in the second round of the 1997 NFL Draft, he turned himself into the Giants' all-time leading rusher — rushing for 10,449 yards in his career. He was named first-team All-Pro in 2005 when he rushed for 1,860 yards and nine TDs, while also adding 54 receptions for 530 yards. Also a three-time Pro Bowler, Barber was inducted into the Giants Ring of Honor in 2010.

Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl officials are celebrating 50 years of competition this year and they’re doing it in a big way.
The organization is releasing the top 50 all-time players in I-Bowl history and they’re releasing them in five-player increments. The list was voted on by a local panel of media members, including the Shreveport Times, and I-Bowl representatives.
According to the bowl, this group of 41 through 45 athletes represent the decades of the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2020s.
Anderson, a native of South Africa, is regarded as one of the greatest kickers of all time — spending 23 seasons in the NFL. Kicking in the 1979 I-Bowl during Syracuse's 31-7 victory over McNeese State, Anderson had a perfect day — converting his lone field goal attempt from 40 yards and making all four of his extra point attempts. He was named first-team All-American in 1981 before being drafted in the seventh round of the 1982 NFL Draft. In his 23 seasons in the NFL, Anderson was named first-team All-Pro in 1983, made four Pro Bowl appearances and was the NFL's scoring leader in 1998. Anderson is third in NFL history for points scored (2,434), field goals made (538) and games played (353), and he is also fourth in NFL history for extra points made (820).

Ricki Lake is celebrating the "leap of faith" she took two years ago when she underwent a facelift after losing weight that left her with loose skin.
The 57-year-old shared before-and-after photos of the procedure on Instagram on July 18, giving fans a look at her transformation.
"Happy 2 year anniversary to me. Yes, 2 years ago today, I had a face lift. Specifically, for those wondering, I had a deep plane lower face and neck lift along with a mild co2 laser," she captioned the carousel.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a deep-plane lower face and neck lift repositions deeper facial tissues to restore a more youthful jawline and neck. CO₂ laser resurfacing removes damaged outer layers of skin to improve wrinkles, texture, and sun damage.
Lake thanked her "talented and kind" plastic surgeon, Dr. Allen Foulad, saying he delivered results that are "remarkable, natural, and long-lasting."

House Speaker Mike Johnson sounded the alarm over students viewing America through the "wrong lenses" at an event hosted by legal advocacy group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) celebrating the 250th anniversary of the nation's founding.
"What ADF does every day on the front lines is defend the very foundations of the greatest nation in the history of the world, so that it can continue. We have a great challenge right now because, sadly, the generations coming behind us do not seem to fully appreciate and understand this," Johnson, R-La., told attendees as a keynote speaker at ADF's summit in San Diego on July 9.
The ADF Summit 2026 brought together leaders from law, public policy, media, business, education and Christian organizations. ADF stated that the event celebrated the historic 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence by exploring the role of the founders and "why our founders held certain truths to be self-evident and what we must do to reclaim the spirit of 1776 today."
