Hayden Panettiere reportedly consumed an oxycodone pill mixed with fentanyl on the day she died, according to TMZ sources on Monday. However, they noted that the toxicology reports hadn't yet been released.
The 36-year-old actress passed away on August 16th in Greenville, South Carolina. TMZ reported, based on sources well-informed about the case, that Panettiere had a dealer of black market prescription drugs who worked with her in Los Angeles, and he supplied oxycodone to her.
According to the report, she consumed a variety of drugs purchased from the drug dealer on the flight from Los Angeles to South Carolina the day before her death, and she took an oxycodone pill the following morning.
Los Angeles DEA is trying to find out the connection between Panettiere and the dealer and trace the pill back to him.
The DEA in Los Angeles and South Carolina, along with state and local authorities, is investigating, according to TMZ.

They will be back in Prince Harry's home country six years after building a life in California.
According to PEOPLE, King Charles is reportedly open to welcoming them and spending more time with them in a private capacity. However, they will not be moving into a royal residence and will instead live in a private home. The details about their residence have yet to be revealed. No details or pictures from the meeting were made public, as it was a family gathering.
Ahead of this news, there were reports that Prince Harry and his family were considering moving to Australia. Sources claimed that the move would allow them to stay closer to the royal family while continuing to build their lives outside the UK.

Ye's legal battle with a former ***** istant has come to a close.
The rapper, formerly known as Kanye West, reached a settlement on July 23 with Lauren Pisciotta, who previously sued him on allegations of ***** ual ***** ault, according to court documents obtained Wednesday, July 29, by USA TODAY. The terms of the settlement deal, filed in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, were not immediately available.
The settlement has been designated as "unconditional," meaning no court-ordered terms, or conditions, are required to complete dismissal of the case. Pisciotta must now file a request for dismissal within 45 days after the settlement was made.
Pisciotta's attorney, Arick Fudali, addressed the settlement in a statement to USA TODAY Wednesday, July 29. "The matter has been resolved," Fudali said.
USA TODAY has reached out to Ye's representatives for comment.
