Amid the news that Macklemore has been dropped as an opener from Ed Sheeran's North American tour, the rapper has alleged that New England owner Robert Kraft intervened to get him removed.
In a lengthy statement posted on Instagram, Macklemore alleged that Kraft had called Sheeran ahead of the singer's concert at Gillette Stadium, which is owned by Kraft. In what Macklemore called a "f***ed up position" for Sheeran, Kraft allegedly barred Macklemore from performing in the stadium and had "rallied" other stadium owners to issue an "ultimatum."
"Last Monday, in the middle of all the media attention surrounding Pink and what I said at MetLife, Ed told me that Robert Kraft called him," Macklemore wrote. "Ed told me that Kraft said I would not be allowed to perform in his stadium. Ed also told me that Kraft had rallied some of the other stadium owners and collectively they gave him an ultimatum: if Macklemore stays on the tour, you will not be allowed to play in our venues."
Macklemore opened for Sheeran on Sept. 4 and 5 at New Jersey's MetLife Stadium. On August 6, Installed Building Products (NYSE:IBP) reported second-quarter results that told two different stories at once. Net revenue hit a second-quarter record of $777.8 million, yet profit and margins moved the other way, and the board still found room to raise the dividend for the fifth straight year.
The headline number was $777.8 million in net revenue, up 2.3% from $760.3 million a year earlier. That growth came almost entirely from outside the core insulation installation business. Other revenue, which covers IBP's manufacturing and distribution operations, jumped 50.4% to $67.1 million, while commercial work inside the Installation segment posted same-branch sales growth of 10.4%. Acquisitions did heavy lifting too. The company closed Diamond Energy Systems in May, then Harkraft and Builders Hardware of South Carolina in July, adding roughly $30 million in combined annual revenue. Year to date, IBP has acquired about $59 million in revenue and still expects to reach at least $100 million for all of 2026.
The balance sheet backed that ambition, with $394.5 million in cash on hand at quarter-end. Management also kept returning cash to shareholders, repurchasing about 365,000 shares for $76.2 million in the quarter, with $398 million still available under the buyback authorization through March 2027. The board topped it off by declaring a third-quarter dividend of $0.39 per share, payable September 30 to holders of record on September 15, more than a 5% increase over last year's third-quarter payout.
The strength was uneven. Residential same-branch installation sales fell 6.1% for the quarter, and job volume excluding heavy commercial work dropped 5.2%, evidence that the housing slowdown is landing directly on IBP's biggest business line. That mix shift showed up in the bottom line. Net income fell to $64.9 million, or $2.43 per diluted share, from $69.0 million and $2.52 a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA slid 2.3% to $130.9 million, with the margin compressing to 16.9% from 17.6%.
Gross profit margin also narrowed to 33.3% from 34.2%, and the company pointed to a specific cause: the faster-growing Other segment carries a 24.7% gross margin, well below the 36.5% margin in core Installation work, so revenue mix worked against profitability even as total sales climbed. The headline number was $777.8 million in net revenue, up 2.3% from $760.3 million a year earlier. That growth came almost entirely from outside the core insulation installation business. Other revenue, which covers IBP's manufacturing and distribution operations, jumped 50.4% to $67.1 million, while commercial work inside the Installation segment posted same-branch sales growth of 10.4%. Acquisitions did heavy lifting too. The company closed Diamond Energy Systems in May, then Harkraft and Builders Hardware of South Carolina in July, adding roughly $30 million in combined annual revenue. Year to date, IBP has acquired about $59 million in revenue and still expects to reach at least $100 million for all of 2026.
The balance sheet backed that ambition, with $394.5 million in cash on hand at quarter-end. Management also kept returning cash to shareholders, repurchasing about 365,000 shares for $76.2 million in the quarter, with $398 million still available under the buyback authorization through March 2027. The board topped it off by declaring a third-quarter dividend of $0.39 per share, payable September 30 to holders of record on September 15, more than a 5% increase over last year's third-quarter payout.
The strength was uneven. Residential same-branch installation sales fell 6.1% for the quarter, and job volume excluding heavy commercial work dropped 5.2%, evidence that the housing slowdown is landing directly on IBP's biggest business line. That mix shift showed up in the bottom line. Net income fell to $64.9 million, or $2.43 per diluted share, from $69.0 million and $2.52 a year ago. Adjusted EBITDA slid 2.3% to $130.9 million, with the margin compressing to 16.9% from 17.6%.
Gross profit margin also narrowed to 33.3% from 34.2%, and the company pointed to a specific cause: the faster-growing Other segment carries a 24.7% gross margin, well below the 36.5% margin in core Installation work, so revenue mix worked against profitability even as total sales climbed. Trading volume reached 37.4 million shares, coming in about 343% above its three-month average of 8.4 million shares.

The company is also implementing a new $500 million cost-savings plan through 2030.
The new $0.25 quarterly dividend still provides a relatively high annual yield of 4.5%, making shares a potential buy for those seeking income. That doesn't help existing shareholders, though, who now face a lower dividend payment on top of a 20% year-to-date decline in the shares.
If the company's turnaround plan is successful, though, new money in the stock with many popular brands could prove to beat the market over the long term.

Last year was a tough one for top-end tight ends, as both George Kittle, Tucker Kraft and Brock Bowers had injury trouble that derailed their fantasy seasons. That left Tre McBride to pick up the slack, catching a crazy 126 passes to set the NFL record for receptions in a season. At this point there is a real chance all three of those injured stud tight ends might be available for Week 1!
We had some fresh talent infuse the tight end position last season, with three rookies putting up strong numbers. Tyler Warren, Colston Loveland, and Harold Fannin Jr. all proved their fantasy worth and look to build on their strong rookie campaigns. It's nice to have those guys added to what is usually a pretty shallow pool of top fantasy tight ends.
In twelve team leagues that start one tight end, there are often not enough capable fantasy tight ends to go around. This year I'd be happy with eleven of this group being my starter. And since we can wait longer to pick up a TE starter we like, we don't have to waste a second or third round pick on a stud.
Kittle ruptured his Achilles in 2026 and is trying to play in Week 1 of the 2026 season at the age of 33! The odds are stacked against him, but I wouldn't put it past him to have yet another strong year in Kyle Shanahan's offense. We get a discount on him this season, but for good reason.

I'll eventually do a deep, deep sleepers column for the true sickos out there, but this is a list of players I'm actively targeting in every league.

Well, this offseason, the coaching staff has prioritized playing with more tempo, and I watched them break the huddle and immediately snap the ball multiple times in preseason actions. I think it's happening.
I also think the Josh Jacobs news could incentivize the Packers to throw more, rather than being 25th in neutral pass rate and 32nd in neutral pace like they've been since 2022.

Former New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte sent a message to the team on Wednesday in the aftermath of being traded to the Houston Texans.
Boutte thanked the Patriots and those who meant most to him within the franchise's ranks in a post on social media.
"I want to thank Mr. Kraft, Coach Belichick, and everyone behind the scenes who poured into me," Boutte wrote. "I also want to give a special thank you to Coach Vrabel, Todd Downing, and Josh McDaniels. Thank you for believing in me, trusting in my abilities, and helping me grow, not just as a football player, but as a man."
Boutte was selected by the Patriots with the No. 187 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. After spending all three seasons of his career in New England from 2023-25 and reaching the Super Bowl with the team at the end of last season, the 24-year-old had his offseason trade request honored by the Patriots on Monday, as he now joins the Texans with just under three weeks remaining until the start of the 2026 NFL season.

Since the day he was drafted in 2024, the leaders of the Green Bay Packers have maintained that running back MarShawn Lloyd could be a dynamic weapon as a receiver in the passing game.
It took far longer than expected, but the Packers finally caught a glimpse of Lloyd's immense potential as a pass-catcher during Friday night's preseason win over the Denver Broncos.
Lloyd, who hadn't scored a touchdown in a live game since November of 2023 while at USC, capped off the Packers' opening drive with an 11-yard touchdown catch.
On 3rd-and-3 from inside the red zone, Lloyd ran a choice route from the backfield -- catching the defender flat-footed and leaning outside before he cut back inside and created an easy pitch-and-catch with Jordan Love for the touchdown. The linebacker in coverage had no chance to recover once Lloyd put his foot in the ground and displayed his dynamic quickness.
Against man coverage, running backs often face linebackers 1-on-1. Advantage, Lloyd. Against zone, passes to running backs can provide easy completions and opportunities for playmakers to break a tackle and create an explosive play. In an offense with field-stretching speed (Christian Watson, Matthew Golden), Lloyd could have a path to becoming a weapon on checkdowns and manufactured touches, not unlike Tucker Kraft.

The latest 13F filings show that Bill Gates' foundation trust and Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway, now run by Greg Abel, had one stock in common in their portfolios as of the end of the second quarter: Kraft Heinz (NASDAQ:KHC). It's rare to have a QB's WR1, WR2, WR3, TE1 and RB1 all go before him in fantasy football ADP, but that's what is happening with Love. Either we are taking crazy pills with all of this Packers' investment or Love is simply underpriced. I think the latter. Love is benefiting from a few things this upcoming season. First, his skill group is sick. I love Matthew Golden at cost as a sleeper and Tucker Kraft being back a month before the season is promising. Beyond that, the Packers are stressing more pace in practice and they followed that up by quickly breaking the huddle and snapping the ball in preseason action last week. It wouldn't be a surprise if they passed more with Josh Jacobs' status and this new quicker-paced offense, and more dropbacks mean more fantasy points. On that, Love has been extremely efficient for years (see below), but the Packers have been too conservative for him to break into the top-10 fantasy mix. It's rare to have a QB's WR1, WR2, WR3, TE1 and RB1 all go before him in fantasy football ADP, but that's what is happening with Love. Either we are taking crazy pills with all of this Packers' investment or Love is simply underpriced. I think the latter. Love is benefiting from a few things this upcoming season. First, his skill group is sick. I love Matthew Golden at cost as a sleeper and Tucker Kraft being back a month before the season is promising. Beyond that, the Packers are stressing more pace in practice and they followed that up by quickly breaking the huddle and snapping the ball in preseason action last week. It wouldn't be a surprise if they passed more with Josh Jacobs' status and this new quicker-paced offense, and more dropbacks mean more fantasy points. On that, Love has been extremely efficient for years (see below), but the Packers have been too conservative for him to break into the top-10 fantasy mix. MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — Taryn Brasher and Kristen Cruz arrived at the Manhattan Beach Open with an opportunity to make history. By Sunday afternoon, they had left little doubt that they were going to do it.
Brasher and Cruz captured their third consecutive AVP Manhattan Beach Open championship Sunday, defeating Kelly Cheng and Megan Kraft 21-18, 21-16 in the women's final at the Manhattan Beach Pier to complete a dominant weekend at one of beach volleyball's most prestigious events.
The victory made Brasher and Cruz the first women's team to win three straight Manhattan Beach Open ***** les since beach volleyball legends Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh Jennings won four consecutive championships from 2005 through 2008.
For Brasher and Cruz, who won the tournament in 2024 and 2025 and entered this year's event as the No. 1 seed, Sunday's championship further cemented their place among the sport's elite. The former LSU teammates represented the United States at the 2024 Paris Olympics before completing an undefeated AVP League season in 2025 and later reaching the No. 1 world ranking.
They looked every bit like the team to beat throughout the weekend.

Packers tight end Tucker Kraft took a big step back toward the lineup on Sunday.
Head coach Matt LaFleur told reporters at a pre-practice press conference that they might be in for a treat when asked when Kraft would move into team drills and those reporters later shared that Kraft participated in 11-on-11 work for the first time since tearing his ACL last season.
Kraft has been aiming for a Week 1 return all offseason, although LaFleur said earlier this summer that he could take part in a joint practice with the Cardinals on August 26. The return to full team work would seem to make that likelier, but the team has time to make that call.
Kraft is in line for a contract extension and continued health should help his chances of landing one before the final year of his rookie deal is over.
