When Kawhi Leonard became a Toronto Raptor for the first time in the summer of 2018, he looked shellshocked. "There's just more questions you have to ask me in order for me to tell you about myself," he said, introducing himself to an organization and city he reportedly had no interest in joining.
Leonard had fallen out with his former team, the San Antonio Spurs – one of the most respected franchises in professional sports – due to differences in opinion about an injury that had limited him to just nine games in the 2017-18 season. The Los Angeles native had hoped to end up in southern California, but instead the Raptors risked it all by swapping franchise cornerstone DeMar DeRozan for one year of an injured, malcontent Leonard. The Dallas Cowboys managed to go out and look awful again as a team, losing to the Green Bay Packers. The worst part has been the offensive decline over the last two weeks as Dak Prescott and Company have been unable to find any kind of offensive rhythm. The Charlotte 49ers marinated in futility for over a year, owning the nation's longest losing streak with little hope in sight. Last season, all 11 losses came by at least 11 points. This season, they were coming off back-to-back 40-point losses and dropped an opener to The Citadel — an FCS program that is 1-4 against its FCS peers this season.
It didn't seem like a matter of when Charlotte was going to win in 2026, rather, it was if that elusive triumph would even occur this season. But before a road trip to Philadelphia, Charlotte head coach Tim Albin took inspiration from the Rocky franchise, texting each of his individual players the following quote from the 2006 film Rocky Balboa:

In an interview on Philadelphia's 94 WIP radio, which took place very shortly after the IR news landed, ******* erson offered a blunt ******* sment of his play in the Eagles' narrow 24-22 win over the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
"Honestly, (to) address the elephant in the room, I played like sh** yesterday," ******* erson said. "I was a complete liability yesterday and, again, that was my fault … I shouldn't be out there until I feel healthy."
Dickerson said that he got "rolled up on" in practice last month during training camp, but continued to push through the injury. Imaging on Monday confirmed that he had a bone bruise in his right knee.

The goal of Independence Youth Cycling is to uplift members of their various teams.
When they set out on the trail with their peers, they're always in for a great ride.
"Our nonprofit supports teams that operate in different leagues and series across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. 65 or more coaches that support our organization...Our teams would not be here if it wasn't for the amazing green ***** es and trail systems that we have in Philadelphia and Montgomery County," said President and Founder of Independence Youth Cycling, John Raisch.
"It's been an amazing ride and we just want to see it continue into the future and be a strong, impactful organization," he continued.
