Since the day he was drafted in 2024, the leaders of the Green Bay Packers have maintained that running back MarShawn Lloyd could be a dynamic weapon as a receiver in the passing game.
It took far longer than expected, but the Packers finally caught a glimpse of Lloyd's immense potential as a pass-catcher during Friday night's preseason win over the Denver Broncos.
Lloyd, who hadn't scored a touchdown in a live game since November of 2023 while at USC, capped off the Packers' opening drive with an 11-yard touchdown catch.
On 3rd-and-3 from inside the red zone, Lloyd ran a choice route from the backfield -- catching the defender flat-footed and leaning outside before he cut back inside and created an easy pitch-and-catch with Jordan Love for the touchdown. The linebacker in coverage had no chance to recover once Lloyd put his foot in the ground and displayed his dynamic quickness.
Against man coverage, running backs often face linebackers 1-on-1. Advantage, Lloyd. Against zone, passes to running backs can provide easy completions and opportunities for playmakers to break a tackle and create an explosive play. In an offense with field-stretching speed (Christian Watson, Matthew Golden), Lloyd could have a path to becoming a weapon on checkdowns and manufactured touches, not unlike Tucker Kraft.

Bond investors have spent much of the past several years learning a painful lesson: Bonds can lose money, too. Now, the same dynamics that caused those losses may be reversing to create a potentially much more attractive opportunity.
We know that Treasury yields are back on the rise. The 10-year yield is still up around 4.65% and the 30-year briefly moved above 5.3%, its highest level since 2007. For investors who remember the zero interest rate during much of the 2010s, those yield figures can't be ignored.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
Does that mean it's finally time again to buy bond exchange-traded funds (ETFs)? I think the answer is yes. But do you go with corporates, Treasuries, or a mix of both?
The Federal Reserve's aggressive rate-hiking cycle a few years ago created an unprecedented bear market in bonds. The Vanguard Long-Term Treasury ETF (NASDAQ: VGLT) is still nearly 40% below its all-time high on a total return basis. But the environment today is different.

Nucor, Steel Dynamics, Cleveland-Cliffs and Century Aluminum could be winners from U.S.-Canada trade talks breaking down. Last week those stocks tumbled on the prospect of a Canada trade deal that would lower U.S. tariffs on steel and aluminum.
New 50% tariffs on a $20 billion worth of Canadian goods, including liquor, electrical equipment and hockey gear, took effect on Saturday. Prime Minister Mark Carney has vowed to retaliate "dollar for dollar." U.S. officials threatened further escalation if that happens.
Earlier in the week, a trade deal seemed likely, with President Donald Trump late Tuesday postponing the new Canada tariffs, hours before they were set to kick in.
The U.S. and Canada seemed poised to reach a deal that would cut existing 50% tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum to 25%, though steel imports would face limits. The U.S. also reportedly would cut duties on Canadian autos to 15% and scrap a 10% lumber tariffs.
The prospective of lower tariffs slammed U.S. steel stocks. Nucor (NUE) fell 5.85% on Wednesday and 9.4% for the week, tumbling from a near a buy point to below its 50-day moving average. Steel Dynamics (STLD) dived 7.5% on Wednesday and 10.6% for the week, even with Friday's 4.4% bounce. STLD stock is now far below its 50-day line. Cleveland-Cliffs (CLF) sank 6% on Wednesday and 5.3% for the week, regaining its 50-day line on Friday.

A top-three finish in a Formula 1 Sprint is typically a solid platform to build on, but for Lando Norris, stepping out of the car at Zandvoort brought a stark reality check.
Despite securing third place and banking valuable championship points in the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix Sprint, Norris bypassed the usual post-session pleasantries to deliver an unvarnished diagnosis of McLaren's current machinery. For all the team's aerodynamic strides, the twisty Dutch circuit has laid bare a critical, ongoing limitation in the car's operating envelope: a glaring deficit in slow-speed corners.
When quizzed after the Sprint about whether tyre balance on the medium compound had hindered his run, Norris was quick to dismiss surface-level excuses.
Speaking to Sky Sports F1, Norris made it clear that the shortfall was rooted in pure mechanical and aerodynamic fundamentals rather than rubber management.
"Yeah, not a bad result, not the best," Norris admitted. "It would have been nice to be a little bit faster today… I don't think it was the tyres, just real race pace. We're not quick enough, and we have some work to do".

Coming into tonight's action, the Green Bay Packers hadn't won a game since December 7th against the Chicago Bears, as their last trip to Denver started them on a five game-losing streak (six if you want to include the preseason opener) that capped off with the team being sent home by those same Bears in the Wild Card round. Tonight, they sort of got that monkey off their back, as they beat the Broncos 33-13 at elevation.
Overall, the depth of the team played well on Friday, unlike their Week 1 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, when their fourth-team defense gave up a lead and allowed three touchdowns in a row to end the game. This time, the Packers' defense (and offense) held strong, despite the Broncos keeping their first- and second-team units in the game significantly longer than Green Bay.
The story of the game, and the preseason, continues to be rookie kicker Trey Smack, though. The sixth-round pick went three of three last week, not including a deep field goal that was taken off the board because the Steelers committed a penalty. How would he outdo himself in Week 2? By going four of four (and three of three on PATs), including a 59-yard field goal, one yard longer than his long the previous week.
In the kickoff game, Smack's kickoffs continue to be placed inside the 10-yard line and near the numbers, the toughest place for returners to bring the ball out from under the NFL's new "dynamic kickoff" rules. All signs are positive on the rookie in live action. Hopefully, it'll continue through the regular season.
Elsewhere on special teams, fourth-string running back Pierre Strong Jr. busted a 68-yard kickoff return, while receiver Skyy Moore had a nice 16-yard punt return himself.

Silver (SI=F) September futures opened at $68.20 per ounce on Friday, August 21, 2026, up 0.1% from Thursday's closing price. The silver price moved higher this morning, reaching $69.49 as of 9 a.m. ET.
The opening silver price was up nearly 5% since last week as traders reacted to a record high in U.S. debt and the Treasury's unexpected announcement to increase long-term bond repurchases. The news contributed to a decline in the U.S. dollar. A weaker dollar supports higher silver prices by lowering the cost for foreign buyers.
Silver, like gold, can function as a safe-haven ****** et for investors, but its supply and demand dynamics differ. Most silver is mined as a byproduct of other metals, so producers don't necessarily change their output to fit demand. And silver demand has investment and industrial components. Those complexities can make silver more volatile and difficult to predict than gold.
The opening price of silver futures on Friday, August 21, 2026, was 0.1% higher compared to Thursday's closing price. Here's how today's opening silver price has changed versus last week, month, and year:

Gold (GC=F) December futures opened at $4,577 per troy ounce on Friday, August 21, 2026, up 0.1% from Thursday's closing price. The price of gold is up this morning at $4,633.90 per troy ounce as of 9 a.m. ET.
Gold continued to rise Friday morning amid concerns about U.S. debt. Earlier in the week, the national debt hit a record high of $40 trillion, five months after eclipsing $39 trillion.
For context, the U.S. debt balance was $28.4 trillion in late 2021. Fast-rising national debt erodes trust in the U.S. dollar and raises borrowing costs. As the debt balance grows, higher yields are required to compensate investors for the risk the government will take inflationary measures, like printing money, to service the debt. At the current debt level, interest costs exceed defense spending.
These dynamics can prompt higher demand for gold as a safe haven from the dollar, both for investors and central banks around the world.

On August 13, Applied Industrial Technologies (NYSE:AIT) held its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings call, and the numbers surprised even the company's own leadership. Organic sales grew 9.7%, the fastest pace in more than three years and a sharp jump from the 6% growth reported just one quarter earlier. For a distributor whose fortunes track the health of American manufacturing, that kind of acceleration is not a small thing, and it set up a call that ended with management raising its long-term ambitions rather than just its short-term guidance.
The breadth of the improvement stood out as much as the headline number. Twenty of the company's top 30 end markets posted positive year-over-year sales growth in the quarter, up from 17 last quarter and just 15 a year earlier, with metals, technology, utilities and energy, machinery, rubber and plastics, and pulp and paper leading the way. Automation sales jumped more than 20% year-over-year, the strongest growth in over four years, as customers lean into robotics, machine vision, and what management called physical AI.
The technology vertical now makes up more than 15% of the Engineered Solutions segment, with semiconductor demand and data center buildouts both contributing. The Service Center segment grew organic sales 8%, up from 4% last quarter, with 27 of 30 verticals positive. That segment has averaged 8% organic sales growth and 13% EBITDA growth over the past five years, a track record management pointed to as evidence the business is more durable than investors might ***** ume. All of that flowed through to the bottom line. EBITDA margin expanded more than 60 basis points to above 13%, EBITDA grew 16%, and SG&A expense fell to 18.6% of sales. The company generated $461 million in free cash flow for the year, returned $317 million to shareholders through buybacks, raised its dividend 11%, and used the momentum to lift its five-year targets, pushing the sales objective to $7 billion from $5.5 billion and the EBITDA margin goal to 14% from 13%.
The guidance Applied issued for fiscal 2027 tells a more cautious story than the quarter it just posted. Full-year sales growth guidance sits at just 4% to 6.5%, well below the 9.7% just delivered, with management citing tougher comparisons in the back half of the year and limited visibility into how trade policy and geopolitical dynamics evolve. Inside Engineered Solutions, flow control sales growth was muted in the quarter, weighed down by a difficult prior-year comparison and softer MRO activity across process end markets like chemicals and refining, both of which also declined outright for the year alongside lumber and wood and transportation.

As Prince Harry and Meghan Markle prepare to take up residency again in the U.K. six years after giving up their royal roles, Markle will be serving up her fashion influence and continue running her brand, As Ever.

While millions around the globe are chiming in about what their surprise decision could mean to the modern monarchy, others speculated about how commercial prospects may have played into their decision to relocate with their two children Archie, 7, and Lillibet, 5. Much has happened since Princess Diana and King Charles III's younger son lost his honorary military and royal patronage appointments in 2021.

The prince spelled out his many grievances with his kin in his memoir "Spare," and the pair sounded off in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. Harry has also openly criticized his home country for not providing his family of four with security. As for how that will be handled in a few weeks upon their return, Prime Minister Andy Burnham described that as "a private matter."

Although King Charles III and Queen Camilla were reunited with Harry's two children earlier this month at the monarch's private country estate Highgrove House, Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, were not there. The strained relations between Harry and his brother continue to be scrutinized on social media and in traditional media.

David Haigh, founder and chief executive officer of the independent brand evaluation consultancy firm Brand Finance, said, "My take is they clearly haven't succeeded in America like they thought they would."

Acknowledging how Harry and Markle each have critics and loyalists, Haigh said that Harry is "much more highly regarded in the U.K. than Markle is. And the dynamic will shift much more in his favor."

To that point, the latest YouGov public opinion poll of Harry gives him a 27 percent popularity ranking and Markle an 18 percent rating. But Markle has a track record for boosting designers' sales by wearing their label. She sported 16 Australian labels during a trip Down Under in April. That resulted in a total of $51.6 million in media impact value over a four-day stretch, according to Launchmetrics.

Carolina Herrera, Heidi Merrick, Dior, Valentino, Mackage, Emilia Wickstead, Victoria Beard, Reformation, Jason Wu and Anine Bing are among the many brands that 45-year-old Markle has rotated into her wardrobe. In addition to launching the lifestyle brand As Ever in the spring of last year, the former "Suits" actress and her husband were the executive producers for the documentary "Cookie Queens" about American Girl Scouts' cookie selling.
Meghan Markle at the Balenciaga spring 2026 show.
Last month, she earned an Emmy nomination for her Netflix lifestyle series "With Love, Meghan." In September 2020, the husband-and-wife team's Archewell Productions secured a multiyear deal with Netflix, which was reportedly in the $60 million to $100 million range.

A distinct operational evolution has arrived for the Pittsburgh Steelers under head coach Mike McCarthy. Beyond installing his West Coast offensive framework, McCarthy is systematically restoring veteran command, empowering his quarterback with pre-snap freedom that recent Pittsburgh offenses largely lacked.
On a recent episode of "The Snap Count" podcast, former Steelers quarterback Charlie Batch and offensive lineman Trai Essex examined how this philosophical shift directly elevates signal-callers on gameday.
"When you look at Mike McCarthy's history, he's always given his veteran quarterbacks the keys to the drive," Batch explained. "In Pittsburgh, we've seen periods where the pre-snap process was overly rigid. Giving an experienced quarterback full autonomy to audit protection, check out of bad looks, and manage the clock changes the entire defense's approach."
Rather than forcing the offense to execute fixed calls regardless of defensive alignments, McCarthy's system relies on dynamic line-of-scrimmage reads. The quarterback retains full authority to flip plays, adjust protection schemes, or call audibles based on safety rotations and front-seven looks.
Essex highlighted how this veteran command instills confidence across the entire offensive line.

Freight broker insurance is in a frenzy, and premium hikes are getting ugly. Thom Albrecht helps break down how the CH Robinson verdict, underwriting pullback and cargo theft are driving double-digit to triple-digit cost increases for brokers. He also explains what's changing in excess liability, why some underwriters are exiting the market, and what carriers and brokers should watch into peak season. If you move freight, this is a real cost story—not noise.
Freight broker insurance has entered a full-blown pricing crisis, with excess liability coverage costs rising 50% to triple digits and even primary coverage climbing sharply in the double digits — all since a pair of legal shocks hit the market this spring. The turmoil is forcing brokers to rethink coverage limits, vendor technology relationships, and renewal strategies ahead of what ***** ysts expect will be a prolonged inflationary environment.
The disruption unfolded in three phases, according to Thom Albrecht, who discussed the market dynamics during this SONAR Market Update. The first was "total chaos" following the Montgomery Supreme Court decision on May 14, which exposed brokers to motor-carrier-style liability. A brief calm in June ended abruptly on July 23, when the C.H. Robinson verdict — a $135 million judgment — rattled underwriters again. "We've seen two underwriters exit the market, basically backing the paper over in London," Albrecht said. "So there's gonna be fewer options, a very inflationary environment, and there's gonna be more questions that are asked of freight brokers than ever before as they go through their renewals."
On primary coverage — the first $5 million of freight broker auto liability, or FBAL — Albrecht said increases are running in the "middle" double digits, well above 10% but short of 90%. For excess or surplus coverage above $5 million, the picture is far worse. Smaller brokers with gross revenues of $30 million to $40 million that were paying roughly $10,000 a year for coverage could now face bills of $30,000 to $40,000. Larger brokers seeking excess capacity above $5 million are confronting 50% to 60% increases at the low end and triple-digit hikes at the top.
"The word to use is it's a total frenzy right now," Albrecht said, describing the post-verdict insurance environment for freight brokers.

Scuderia Ferrari Formula One driver Charles Leclerc explained that it would be a "mistake" to follow the footsteps of four-time F1 world champion Max Verstappen, because he is not aware of the team dynamics within Red Bull Racing that contributed to Verstappen's success.
Leclerc has established himself as a strong contender, even outperforming seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton multiple times last year. With the new cars this season, Ferrari has gotten off to a positive start, competing with the dominant Mercedes cars.
While Leclerc is yet to win his first F1 Drivers' Championship, he suggested not following Verstappen's path but instead focusing on himself and his team. Speaking ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort, he said:
"Well, Max has obviously had an incredible career so far and has won four world championships, I didn't yet but I think every situation is different. I think it will be a mistake for me to kind of follow the footsteps of what Max has done and also because I have no idea what Max is doing inside the team in order to get this success. So, it will be purely trying and imagining what it takes and rather than doing that I think I prefer to focus in my own situation in the team trying to focus on the process."

When it comes to NFL rosters, the supply of willing players far outweighs the demand. That same dynamic will play out as to the 2028 Olympics flag football competition.
During a Thursday conference call with reporters, NFL Senior Vice President, Global Flag Football, Brian Flinn said that more than 200 players have expressed interest in participating.
The league has previously decided to allow only one player per team to be on loan to the Olympic effort, which will cap the number of ultimately eligible NFL players at 32.
Six countries will participate in the flag football tournament; some NFL players will be eligible to play for countries other than the U.S., if those countries are in the tournament.
For the United States, the challenge becomes balancing career flag-football players and NFL players. For the NFL players who ultimately join the cause, they'll need to sacrifice personal time for the qualification and/or training process.

Eagle Capital Management, an investment management company, released its second quarter 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. In the quarter, Eagle Capital Management discussed how enthusiasm around AI capital spending has driven strong S&P 500 earnings growth while also increasing risks from elevated valuations, concentrated demand, and aggressive investment **** umptions. Eagle remains a strong believer in AI but prefers constructing a portfolio that can perform across multiple outcomes rather than relying on one forecast. The firm believes current earnings can overstate underlying economics because semiconductor equipment is depreciated over several years, while free cash flow growth remains much weaker. It also expects competition and additional capacity across AI labs, hyperscalers, and semiconductors to eventually create winners and losers. These dynamics are encouraging Eagle to recycle capital toward attractive opportunities outside the most crowded AI trades while maintaining selective exposure to high quality beneficiaries. The portfolio trades at a 20% market discount with faster expected EPS growth. Please review the Strategy's top five holdings for key selections.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Eagle Capital Management highlighted ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP). ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) explores for, produces, transports, and markets crude oil, bitumen, natural gas, liquefied natural gas (LNG), and natural gas liquids. On August 18, 2026, ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) closed at $129.72 per share. The one-month return of ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) was 9.20% and its shares gained 36.71% over the past 52 weeks. ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) has a market capitalization of $155.84 billion.
Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"The energy & metals companies we own benefit from favorable multiyear supply/demand outlooks, management teams that are good capital allocators, and **** et bases that are well-positioned on the global cost curve.
ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP), the largest U.S. pure-play upstream oil producer, has low-cost, long-lived inventory that we believe is underappreciated relative to peers. In the coming years, its free cash flow should inflect higher as the Willow project in Alaska comes online and transitions from a cash drag to a cash generator. We see the oil market as reasonably balanced, but risks may skew to the upside over the next couple of years as the world manages shortages from the Strait of Hormuz, and the path to its full and enduring reopening remains murky. We expect EPS growth in the mid-teens over the next several years."

(NASDAQ:WDAY) closed at $190.64 per share. One-month return of Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ:WDAY) was 43.96% and its shares gained -16.20% over the past 52 weeks. Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ:WDAY) has a market capitalization of $47.09 billion.
Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ:WDAY) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Software is controversial due to fears of Al-driven disruption. Al makes it easier to build software and will change workflows in how it is used. We believe there will be heightened competition and greater separation between winners and losers over the coming years. The industry is deservedly trading at a higher risk premium, but within the market there are plenty of mispricings.
The companies we own are resilient and highly entrenched in application software. We view them as offering upside optionality. Workday, Inc. (NASDAQ:WDAY), a leading HCM and financials platform, earns mid-teen margins on a business that should have long- term margins of 30% or higher. The founder's return to the CEO role is reigniting product innovation, and we increasingly believe Al will be a net positive for their business, enabling them to play offense. Examples include geographic expansion, adjacent-product extensions, and natural-language querying for business results. We expect EPS growth in the high teens, driven by revenue growth, operating leverage, and share buybacks."

Intuit's brand, scale, and network effect through the accountant channel give it formidable competitive advantages. It is well-placed to deliver Al solutions to this hard-to-reach customer. TurboTax, a relatively smaller part of the business, will likely adapt its business model to an Al world, but we have more modest expectations for its growth. We expect EPS growth in the high teens, driven by revenue growth, operating leverage, and share buybacks."

Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding MercadoLibre, Inc. (NASDAQ:MELI) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Operating massive consumer platforms that aggregate demand for sellers and advertisers, these companies have scale advantages, fast growth, and the ability to deploy Al to further press their leads.
Almost half of our capital is in MercadoLibre, Inc. (NASDAQ:MELI), the leading Latin American e-commerce and fintech company. Latin America's relatively low e-commerce penetration-we estimate it at the mid-teens compared with nearly 30% in the U.S .- offers a long runway for growth. In recent quarters, revenue grew more than 40%. We think the market is too focused on near-term earnings revisions and may be conflating elective investments with structural weakness. Much like Amazon in its early days, MercadoLibre is trading lower margins today for a larger business tomorrow; we're thrilled with this approach, which both builds value and has enabled Eagle to establish an attractively priced position.

Eagle Capital Management, an investment management company, released its second quarter 2026 investor letter. A copy of the letter can be downloaded here. In the quarter, Eagle Capital Management discussed how enthusiasm around AI capital spending has driven strong S&P 500 earnings growth while also increasing risks from elevated valuations, concentrated demand, and aggressive investment ***** umptions.
In its second-quarter 2026 investor letter, Eagle Capital Management highlighted Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (NYSE:TSM). Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (NYSE:TSM) manufactures, packages, tests, and sells integrated circuits and other semiconductor devices in Taiwan and internationally. On August 18, 2026, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (NYSE:TSM) closed at $413.41 per share. The one-month return of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (NYSE:TSM) was -0.99% and its shares gained 82.43% over the past 52 weeks. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (NYSE:TSM) has a market capitalization of $1.95 trillion.
Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (NYSE:TSM) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Half of our capital here is invested in Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Limited (NYSE:TSM) and ASML, two of the most dominant businesses in the semiconductor supply chain. The other half is invested across the three major hyperscalers. We ascribe a portion of the value of each of these three companies to their cloud business and the balance to the remainder of the company; i.e., 60% of the value of Amazon is from AWS and 40% is from retail.
TSMC and ASML are two of the best businesses in the semiconductor industry. TSMC is the world's fab, where most leading-edge logic chips, ranging from Apple to NVIDIA, are made. Both companies are well positioned over the next 5-10 years to participate in the sector's secular growth while maintaining their competitive positions. That said, they will face pressures when the next downturn comes.

Operating massive consumer platforms that aggregate demand for sellers and advertisers, Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has scale advantages, fast growth, and the ability to deploy AI to further press their leads. Amazon's retail business, Google Search and YouTube, and Meta are comparatively more mature, but they continue to grow at well above GDP rates with attractive margins. We believe AI is demonstrably helping Google Search and Meta's advertising business, both of which have accelerated as ad targeting and content capabilities have improved. Software is controversial due to fears of AI driven disruption. AI makes it easier to build software and will change workflows in how it is used. We believe there will be heightened competition and greater separation between winners and losers over the coming years. The industry is deservedly trading at a higher risk premium, but within the market there are plenty of mispricings.

(NASDAQ:MU) has a market capitalization of $1.06 trillion.
Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU), the only U.S. producer of DRAM memory, has gone from being marginally profitable to earning more than Apple or Microsoft. Memory prices are now high enough to inflict damage on consumer electronics markets and prompt Al model companies and chipmakers to redesign their technology.
Micron's entire manufacturing PP&E footprint is approximately $60 billion, versus a market cap of $1.2 trillion. The company will make enough money over the next year to replicate its entire footprint multiple times. DRAM historically has been brutally cyclical. That cyclicality reduced competition to the point that only an oligopoly of three players could survive. Volatility was one of the moats that helped protect over-the-cycle returns."

Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ:NVDA) has dominated the market for Al accelerator chips and has become the most profitable company in the U.S. However, its largest customers have internal silicon programs that are likely to reduce NVIDIA's share over time. Google TPUs and Amazon's Trainium chips are the most competitive, but Microsoft, Meta, OpenAl, and Anthropic all have programs in various stages. When the market was small, custom programs were uneconomic. At today's scale, R&D can be amortized across the larger base. Moreover, NVIDIA's 75-80% gross margin implies it is marking up Taiwan Semiconductor ("TSMC") wafers by 4-5x. Custom programs don't have to be as good as NVIDIA to offer better price/performance to the end customer.
NVIDIA is investing in the neocloud industry to support demand for its chips and weaken hyperscalers' position. Ironically, by selling its chips at high prices, it makes the neoclouds high-cost operators, and therefore less likely to succeed against vertically integrated hyperscalers over the long term. As NVIDIA's market share crests and begins to fall, ma

Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"The energy & metals companies we own benefit from favorable multiyear supply/demand outlooks, management teams that are good capital allocators, and ****** et bases that are well-positioned on the global cost curve.

Eagle Capital Management stated the following regarding Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) in its Q2 2026 investor letter:
"Lennar Corporation (NYSE:LEN) is the second largest homebuilder in the U.S. Margins and earnings have collapsed over the past few years, driven by weakness in the company's geographic markets. This has been exacerbated by a change in business model, whereby the company spun off its land bank. In the long term, going "land light" should reduce balance sheet risk and improve returns on capital, but it also reduces margins, which has a more ****** ounced effect on earnings in today's weak market. Over time, we expect excess inventory to clear and volume and discounting to improve. Indicative of depressed valuations, M&A activity in the sector is increasing. Berkshire Hathaway recently acquired Taylor Morrison, making it the fourth builder in the country."
