The company's adjusted EBITDA for the quarter climbed 11% to $139.6 million, compared to Q3 FY25. Adjusted net income stood at $61.5 million, exhibiting a 19% growth and translating into an adjusted diluted EPS of $1.04. ABM generated operating cash flows for the third quarter totaling $146.8 million, while free cash flow stood at $128.4 million.

Third quarter print revealed that majority of the topline growth was concentrated across the company's Aviation, and Manufacturing & Distribution (M&D) segments, which expanded 12.5% and 17.6% respectively. Performance within the M&D segment was driven by strong technology market trends, with further support coming from ABM's acquisition of WGNstar. Aviation segment got a boost from robust demand for air travel and healthy progress around the company's newly secured London Heathrow contract.
Prudent cost management resulted in around $3 million reduction in ongoing corporate costs compared to the previous year. Overall growth in bottom line can be attributed to higher operating profits across most segments, a lower tax bill, and cut down in corporate overhead. Some of these were offset by rising interest burden due to the financing of the WGNstar transaction. The company's share buyback initiative was another factor that led to a 25% rise in diluted EPS for the quarter.
The Education segment's revenue held steady. Business & Industry (B&I) slipped 2.6%, largely in line with expectations, due to the previously disclosed loss of a major UK client and ongoing weakness along the US west coast. Technical Solutions (ATS) growth was hampered by certain deferred projects.

Tress Way has been a member of the Commanders for more than a decade, but it sounds like they're going to have to start planning for life without him.
Way will begin his 13th season with the team on Sunday and he announced on Thursday that he expects it to be his final one as an NFL player.
"I am pretty sure this is gonna be my last season," Way said, via Nicki Jhabvala of TheAthletic.com.
Way joined the Commanders in 2014 after being waived by the Bears and he has appeared in every game for the team over the last 12 years. He is a three-time Pro Bowler and was named a second-team All-Pro in 2019. On August 25, Citi Trends (NASDAQ:CTRN) reported second-quarter results that pushed its comparable sales growth streak to eight consecutive quarters, and this time the momentum showed up on the bottom line. Total sales rose 10.9% to $211.6 million, comparable sales climbed 10.5%, and adjusted EBITDA swung from a $1.1 million loss a year ago to $5.5 million. That improvement helped push first-half EBITDA to $19.4 million, already ahead of everything the company generated in all of fiscal 2025. Management responded by raising its full-year outlook across nearly every metric that matters.
The eighth straight quarter of comparable sales growth stands out on its own, especially with the two-year stack running at 19.7%, but the more telling shift is what happened underneath it. Gross margin expanded 60 basis points to 40.6% on better merchandise margin and lower shrinkage, while adjusted SG&A leveraged 260 basis points as fixed costs spread across a bigger sales base. Store payroll leveraged 70 basis points, and distribution center costs fell 60 basis points year to date, evidencing that the efficiency gains are showing up across the operation rather than in one line item. That combination pushed adjusted EBITDA margin to 2.6% for the quarter, and management raised full-year sales guidance to 10% to 12% growth, comparable sales guidance to 9% to 11%, and adjusted EBITDA guidance to $38 million to $42 million.
The balance sheet backs up the story. Citi Trends ended the quarter with $55.9 million in cash, no debt, and no draw on its $75 million credit facility, even as merchandise inventory grew a controlled 7.5% against double-digit comparable sales growth. The company is also leaning on a customer base broader than the discount label suggests: shoppers with household incomes between $75,000 and $150,000 make up 25% of customers but generate more than 40% of revenue. Management is funding growth accordingly, shifting capital toward its remodel program, now expected to cover 60 to 65 stores this year, up from 50, while building newer levers like the Insiders Club loyalty platform launched July 15 and AI tools for allocation and site selection. CEO Kenneth Seipel described the program as one that "turns traffic into loyalty, loyalty into frequency, and frequency into EBITDA."
Not everything in the print was clean. CFO Heather Plutino noted that rising fuel surcharges are pushing freight costs higher and said the pressure should continue for the rest of the year, a headwind that partially offset the gross margin gains. Aston Villa are now close to seeing Leon Bailey leave for Olympiacos after the British transfer window shut on 1 September. The Daily Express reports that the winger has found an alternative route out of Villa Park after a proposed move to Hull City collapsed late in the window.

Britain's Jacob Fearnley produced a remarkable comeback to beat Martin Landaluce in five sets after compatriot Harriet Dart ended a 19-month wait for a Grand Slam win in the US Open first round.
World number 101 Fearnley, playing in the main draw as a lucky loser, trailed 5-2 in the fourth set before reeling off 10 of the next 11 games en route to a thrilling 4-6 6-2 4-6 7-5 6-3 win.

The Oklahoma Sooners released their first official depth chart for the start of the 2026 college football season. The Sooners will open the season Friday at 7 p.m. against the UTEP Miners, and now we can see what the starting lineup will look like.
The Sooners entered training camp with several position battles underway, and some of those will continue into the season. But it looks like the Sooners have figured out arguably the most important one, the offensive line.
Though the projected starter at center, Jake Maikkula, won't be available for the start of the season, it looks like Oklahoma's found their guy, at least for this week. Ryan Fodje, a former four-star and top 10 offensive tackle in the 2025 recruiting class, will get the start against UTEP.
Fodje started six games for the Sooners as a true freshman, helping Oklahoma at both guard and center last season. Coming into training camp, he looked to be Oklahoma's starting right guard, but flipped to left tackle to fill in for Michael Fasusi, who was limited with an injury. While Fodje was at left tackle, true freshman Noah Best stepped in at right guard and received rave reviews.
Best is locked in as an "or" starter with veteran guard Heath Ozaeta. But the rest of the offensive line is set with Fasusi at left tackle, Eddy Pierre-Louis at left guard, Fodje at center, and E'Marion Harris at right tackle. It's a veteran group that will set the tone for the Oklahoma Sooners' offense in 2026.

Brandon Staley is heading into his second season as the Saints' defensive coordinator, but his previous experience as an NFL head coach has him thinking about what a second chance in that spot might look like.
Staley earned a reputation for being ultra-aggressive while going 19-15 in his first two seasons as the head coach of the Chargers, but the weight of some of those decisions misfiring and a blown 27-point lead against the Jaguars in the playoffs put him on the hot seat when the 2023 season started badly. The Chargers wound up firing him after Week 15 and Staley spent the 2024 season with the 49ers before joining Kellen Moore in New Orleans.
Staley said "as tough and impossible as it was at the end" of his time with the Chargers, he feels he has to use them the right way to grow as a coach. He shared what he thinks he would do differently if given another opportunity to run a team.
"I would have a lot more poise and composure in terms of knowing when to push and when to pull," Staley said, via Jeff Howe of TheAthletic.com. "I was trying to push it, and I was trying to get us there as fast as we could. When you have more experience, you know when to do both of those things. You just have a better feel and understanding, and that's in all aspects of being a leader. That's why the next time, I just have so much more experience now — I didn't have any back then. I could have done a better job. I know for a fact I would do a better job just with more turns at it, living through more — little decisions and big decisions."
There's high hopes for the Saints heading into this season thanks to a strong finish to last year after handing the offensive reins to quarterback Tyler Shough. If Staley's defense can help push the team even further this fall, he could get a chance to expand on his new coaching philosophies with teams looking for a new head coach.

The product recall is tied to the company's ENROUTE Transcarotid Neuroprotection System (NPS) following the FDA's concerns about the potential separation of the product's arterial sheath tip.
Making matters worse, the company also disclosed a cybersecurity incident that disrupted its global operations, potentially disrupting the processing and shipping of customers' orders. Management noted that it was working to restore lost functions but couldn't yet determine whether the event would have a material impact on BSX shares.
Following several quarters of weaker-than-expected earnings results, disappointing Watchman sales, slashed guidance, and a major acquisition now weighing on Boston Scientific's balance sheet, the stock has shifted from a steady compounder to more of a turnaround or value type of stock -- especially after today's news. While BSX stock is on my watch list, I'd need to see some type of positive developments before I consider buying.

Royal fans were quick to point out the burned yellowing grass, with one simply writing: "I see drought..." and another adding: "Aside from everything being horribly dry, it really looks amazing from above." Luckily, some of the trees and decorative hedges have retained their verdant nature, but the grass is clearly blanched.

Despite ever-growing food and fuel prices, an ailing health care system, and violent conflicts in the U.S. and abroad, the far right has decided to continue to wage war on transgender student-athletes. And while politicians debate the topic within our nation's highest offices, many forget about the real human beings who are affected.
When West Virginia House Bill 3293, also known as the Save Women's Sports Act, became law in 2021, Becky Pepper-Jackson, a track-and-field athlete who identifies as trans, and her family challenged the bill in court.
Since then, the battle over whether schools should allow trans student athletes to play on sports teams that align with their gender identity has continued in West Virginia and other red states throughout the nation. On June 30 of this year, the Supreme Court ruled to uphold state bans on transgender girls and women competing in girls' and women's school sports.
"My 16-year-old daughter, Becky Pepper-Jackson, wants what most kids want: to be herself and play the sport she loves with her friends," Becky's mother, Heather Jackson, wrote in an op-ed for USA Today after the ruling. "I always knew that no matter what the court decided, Becky would be a winner because she has shown all of us how to love, accept, and be ourselves no matter the outcome."
Parker Tirrell, a lifelong soccer player, and fellow New Hampshire trans student-athlete Iris Turmelle were the first to challenge President Donald Trump's executive order, Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports, which was signed into law in February of 2025.

Teofimo Lopez officially joined the exclusive club of three-division boxing world champions on Saturday night in Las Vegas, though his WBA ******* le win over Rolando "Rolly" Romero didn't come without its share of critics and controversy.
Lopez (23-2, 13 KOs) appeared to soundly outbox a sleepy Romero (17-3, 13 KOs) inside the T-Mobile Arena to capture the WBA welterweight ******* le in a fight that never really got out of first gear. The tepid nature of the bout perhaps shouldn't have come as a surprise, considering the well-documented friendship the two fighters have shared for more than a decade, yet it was a baffling 114-114 scorecard from judge Glenn Feldman that drew just as much — if not more — condemnation as Lopez and Romero's performances Saturday.
In a fight that many observers viewed as a rout, which saw Lopez out-punch Romero 124-73 in total punches and 62-49 in power punches, Feldman improbably scored the bout a draw — meaning if judges Max DeLuca (115-113 Lopez) and Tim Cheatham (116-112 Lopez) had agreed, Romero would've controversially left Las Vegas with the WBA world ******* le still wrapped around his waist.
Fortunately, yet another boxing judging crisis was averted this time. But Lopez's win still invited a healthy mix of aspersions and praise from his fellow fighters, ranging from former opponent George Kambosos Jr. panning the bout as a "glorified sparring session," to recent foe Shakur Stevenson giving both Lopez and Romero their due credit.

Zscaler (ZS) stock inched higher on Friday after KeyBanc lifted its price target on the cybersecurity company, citing its leadership in the SASE market.
