LONDON — A British Airways passenger jet flying from London to Chicago descended 28,000 feet in just seven minutes after declaring an emergency due to an unspecified “technical issue,” the airline said Monday.
The Boeing 777 took off at 12:15 p.m. local time (7:15 a.m. ET) but started descending just 30 minutes later while flying over Ireland, according to flight-tracking website FlightAware.
The plane turned around and spent around four hours zigzagging over the Bristol Channel, a waterway to the west of England, before landing back at London Heathrow Airport at 5 p.m. local time (noon ET).
“The aircraft landed safely after our highly-trained pilots returned to Heathrow following a technical issue,” British Airways said in an emailed statement. “Customers disembarked the aircraft normally and our teams are working to get their travel plans back on track as quickly as possible.”
Heathrow did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The winning entry of a prestigious scientific photography competition is being re-evaluated following criticism from other scientists that it was made with AI.
Nikon's annual Small World In Motion contest accepts photos and video taken using powerful microscopes, and has run annually for the last 15 years.
The winner was a short video submitted by Dr Ning Xu, a researcher at Tsinghua University in China, which claims to be footage of tiny, hair-like structures called cilia moving inside the airways of a child with a rare disease.
Xu did not respond to the BBC's request for comment, but has posted online denying he broke the competition rules.
In a response to a post by Nikon on LinkedIn, he did not dispute using AI within the image processing but said he remained within the rules of the contest.

DUBAI, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Abu Dhabi's Etihad Airways said on Monday that its ‌passenger-carrying capacity is running above year-earlier ‌levels as Gulf carriers rebound from disruption caused by the Iran war, with strong demand expected heading into the winter travel season, its chief executive told Reuters.
"We are back on ‌track," CEO Antonoaldo Neves said in an interview, noting that current Available Seat Kilometres - the industry's standard measure of passenger-carrying capacity - was currently 15 to 17% higher than a year ago.
"Flights are full, full, full," he said, ‌adding that load factor, which measures how well an airline is filling available seats, was at 92% in August while the airline is targeting an 87% plus load factor ‌for the remainder of the year.
The Iran war affected travel earlier this year, pushing fuel prices ‌higher and disrupting flights in the Middle East and beyond. Middle Eastern carriers, some of the world's biggest, have seen their networks upended ‌by the conflict, but have gradually resumed their activity.

Turkish Airlines will become Liverpool's new front-of-shirt sponsor from the start of the 2027/28 season, the Premier League giants announced on Tuesday.
No fee was disclosed by the club, but the BBC reported that the five-year deal was worth £300 million ($406 million) in total.
A contract worth more than £60 million a season, would represent an increase on the current £50 million-per-season deal with retail bank Standard Chartered, who have been the Reds' front-of-shirt sponsor since 2010.
Liverpool's new deal is believed to be the most lucrative purely front-of-shirt agreement in Premier League history, with **** nal and Manchester City's agreements with Emirates and Etihad Airways respectively also involving stadium naming rights.
By contrast, six-time European champions Liverpool's home ground is still solely known by its original name of Anfield.

United Airlines Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:UAL) CEO Scott Kirby told CNBC he wants to expand United's presence at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport, returning to the congested airport through a new partnership with JetBlue Airways, American's former partner, as early as next year.
Kirby said he is also preparing for how artificial intelligence will change the airline industry. CNBC reported that Kirby, who was fired by American Airlines a decade ago when he served as its president, has floated megamerger ideas with both Delta and American over the past year but has so far been rebuffed, with antitrust experts skeptical the combinations could happen. He said he remains uninterested in acquiring a smaller carrier. United currently ranks as the second most profitable U.S. airline behind Delta, with American a "distant third."
United Airlines Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ:UAL) has a concrete opportunity to strengthen its position at JFK through its partnership with JetBlue. Re-entering one of the country's most valuable and slot-constrained airports would give United incremental access to a market where it has struggled to compete. The partnership could also weaken American's competitive position by pulling JetBlue away from its previous relationship with American.
United also has the financial strength to pursue an ambitious growth strategy. The airline ranks as the second-most profitable U.S. carrier behind Delta, giving CEO Scott Kirby greater flexibility to invest in network expansion, technology, and other long-term opportunities. That financial position gives United more room to pursue transformative moves without relying solely on defensive strategies.
Kirby's comments on M&A also suggest that United wants to pursue scale selectively rather than chase every available acquisition. He has expressed little interest in buying a smaller carrier while discussing the possibility of much larger combinations with Delta or American. That approach could help United focus its capital and management resources on deals that could materially strengthen its competitive position.

Turkish Airlines will become Liverpool's front-of-shirt sponsor from the start of the 2027-28 season in a £300m deal.
The five-year contract is worth in excess of £60m a season, an increase on the current £50m-per-season deal with Standard Chartered, which has been the club's main partner since 2010 and is the existing front-of-shirt sponsor.
Liverpool believe the agreement with Turkish Airlines is the the most valuable front-of-shirt-only commercial deal in Premier League history.
Both ***** nal and Manchester City have deals with Emirates and Etihad Airways respectively, but those also involve stadium naming rights.
In February, Liverpool announced record revenues of more than £700m for the most recent financial year and were the highest-placed Premier League club in the Deloitte Football Money League.

COUNTY CLARE, Ireland (AP) — British Amateur champion Stuart Grehan didn't flinch when he was 3 down after three holes against the No. 1 amateur in golf. The Irishman rallied to beat Preston Stout on the 18th hole Saturday as Great Britain and Ireland took a one-point lead over the Americans in the Walker Cup.
Luke Poulter of England held off 17-year-old Miles Russell in the last singles match on the course, giving GB&I a 6 1/2-5 1/2 lead going into the final day at Lahinch as it tries to beat the Americans for the first time since 2015.
GB&I had a three-point lead after the opening day its last time on home soil, in 2023 at St. Andrews, only for the Americans to win 10 of the 14 matches on Sunday. The Americans had a one-point lead last year at Cypress Point and lost only one of the 10 singles matches in a 17-9 win.
"We're ahead, but we need to reset for tomorrow," said Poulter, the son of Ryder Cup stalwart Ian Poulter and a senior at Florida. He turned the match in his favor with a 15-foot birdie putt on the 15th hole and a stellar up-and-down on the par-3 16th.
The crowd created a big atmosphere as it walked the fairways behind matches and surrounded the greens on the fabled links along the Atlantic coast in the west of Ireland.

JetBlue Airways (JBLU) is heading into a more significant phase of its comeback without one of the activist investors who helped alter its board.
Carl Icahn sharply cut his JetBlue position, selling roughly 8.13 million shares for about $40.4 million between Aug. 17 and Aug. 20, regulatory filings show. The transactions reduced the Icahn Group's interest to around 3.32%, or about 12.5 million shares, from over 10% when the activist investor initially revealed his position in 2024.
That's more than some spring cleaning.
Icahn's smaller stake fell below the amount needed to retain board presence at JetBlue. Jesse Lynn and Steven Miller, directors supported by Icahn, resigned both effective Aug. 24 after the group's ownership fell below the appropriate level, the airline said in an Aug. 27 filing with the SEC.
It is interesting timing for investors. JetBlue is aiming to show that its JetForward turnaround will restore sustainable profitability after years of strategic missteps, excessive expenses, and a failed attempt to combine with Spirit Airlines.

The professional golf world loses a fierce competitor this weekend. Anna Nordqvist, the three-time major champion, has officially announced her retirement. She will walk inside the ropes for the last time at the FM Championship in Boston. This decision marks the end of a nearly two-decade journey on the LPGA Tour. The 39-year-old Swede made the news public on Wednesday, confirming she will not return to competition after this event. Her final tournament serves as a bookend to a career that started with a simple dream and two suitcases. Fans and fellow players now look back at a legacy built on consistency and grit.
Nordqvist confirmed the news through her own channels before it hit the wider media. According to ESPN Golf, the announcement came on Wednesday, setting the stage for her final competitive week. The outlet reported that she will retire as a player immediately following this weekend's FM Championship. This specific event in Boston becomes the closing chapter of her playing days. The Swede's last major ******* le and final LPGA victory occurred at the Women's British Open in 2021. Since then, she has navigated a challenging path to reclaim her form. Currently ranked 118th in the world, her career earnings stand at more than $14 million, a testament to her longevity. She secured nine wins on the LPGA Tour during her tenure.
Golf Monthly reported that Nordqvist shared a video on her Instagram page showing career highlights while reading her letter. In that video, she explained her reasoning with clarity.
Even as a player, her role in the sport remains significant. Nordqvist is set to captain Team Europe as they play the United States in next month's Solheim Cup. The event takes place in Bernardus, Netherlands. Her record as a player in the team competition stands at 17-15-3. She had previously stated that taking the captaincy job meant she wanted to complete this journey with her teammates. "I think this is my 18th year on Tour," she told reporters, noting that the FM Championship is the last event before the Solheim Cup. She feels she has given her all to the team and the game. Looking ahead, she hinted at personal goals beyond the fairways. "So hopefully be able to join them on a few. And a big dream of mine is to become a mother one day. It's something I'm going to keep dreaming of."
Nordqvist's departure leaves a noticeable gap in the field. She was a player who could win any tournament she entered, a fact proven by her nine career ******* les. Her retirement signals a shift for the LPGA Tour, which loses a veteran presence known for her steady hand and competitive fire. The timing is interesting as she steps away while still serving as a team captain, but highlights her value to the sport even without holding a club for competition. Her focus on health and family reflects a growing trend among athletes who prioritize longevity over endless competition. The golf community will miss her presence, but her legacy remains secure with t

Rory McIlroy fired an impressive six-under par 64 to headline a five-way tie for the lead on Thursday at the BMW Championship, the second event of the PGA Tour's FedEx Cup playoffs.
It was a welcome return to form for second-ranked McIlroy, who admitted he felt "lost" in a 66th-place finish at the St. Jude Championship in Memphis last week -- his first start since he finished tied for 40th in the Open Championship.
The six-time major champion was tied for the lead Thursday at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, with a trio of US Open winners -- Gary Woodland, Wyndham Clark and JJ Spaun -- and Chris Gotterup.
World number one Scottie Scheffler, who was at his imperious best on the way to victory in Memphis last week, was meanwhile far from the logjam at the top.
Scheffler hit just six of 14 fairways and 11 of 18 greens in regulation on the way to a two-over par 72 that featured five bogeys and left him tied for 44th -- just one stroke better than the last-placed trio in the field of 50.

A passenger jet flew for two days and carried hundreds of people after a mechanic's work light was accidentally left inside of its wing, Australian investigators reported Monday.
The Qantas Airways Airbus A380 underwent air-conditioning maintenance on January 7 before flying from Sydney to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, the Australian Transportation Safety Board said. It was only after the aircraft returned to Sydney, two days later, the 13-inch-tall work light was discovered.
"The maintainers did not identify that a work light had remained in the left wing during their foreign object clearance inspections," the ATSB said in the report. "In addition, while returning the tools, the maintainer did not identify that the work light had not been returned and the unreturned tool check at the end of the shift also did not identify the unreturned light."
At the start of the work, a maintenance engineer signed out the light, along with other tools, by scanning its bar code, according to investigators. When two workers were changing an air conditioning sensor, they placed the battery-operated light inside the wing and eventually turned it off but forgot to retrieve it. Another engineer inspected the work and later did a foreign object search but didn't see the light was left behind, the report said.
After the plane had returned from Dallas, an employee reviewing an "unreturned tool report" discovered it was missing.

ARDMORE, Pa. — Andy Whaley couldn't believe his eyes. Standing at the back of Merion East's soaked 15th green, he smiled and laughed as his son, 22-year-old Jack Whaley, raised the Havemeyer Trophy after conquering the best amateur field in the world.
"Did I ever think he could win the U.S. Amateur? No. Did I ever think he'd win it this year? Absolutely not," Andy Whaley told GOLF with a laugh as his son did the post-win media car wash.
Andy and his wife, Kerry, were scheduled to fly home on Saturday night. "That tells you how confident we were," Andy Whaley said with a chuckle. Instead, Andy Whaley, carrying his son's bag for the first time in five or six years, changed his flight and set out to walk Merion for a final day with his son.
This week's U.S. Amateur at Merion was golf watching in its purest form. The famed golf course opened its doors to the world's best amateurs and local crowds flocked by the thousands to walk its fairways, raid the pro shop and watch the best amateur golf has to offer. It was a week for the true, die-in-the-wool golf fans who appreciate and understand what the game has always been about.
It was fitting that, during a week about Merion, the Hugh Wilson design outside Philadelphia remained the main star throughout the week. The world's best amateurs — Preston Stout, Miles Russell, Tyler Watts and others — all either failed to make it out of stroke play or made an early match play exit. This week was about getting to see Merion, one of the game's great cathedrals, without it being overrun by giant buildouts and throngs of fans. It was just the world's best ams and fans who wanted to soak in good golf at a place steeped in history. It was about the magic and mystique of a place we rarely see.

The Buffalo Bills opened their brand new $2.2 billion Highmark Stadium on Saturday. And instead of wowing the NFL world, the stadium has been under the microscope for its shortcomings given the price tag.
And now, one of the lead architects behind the project has spoken out.
In the days since the Bills' Blue & Red practice, photos of obstructed-view seating throughout the 60,108-seat venue have been all over social media. In the photos, portions of the field were blocked by overhangs, sharp angles in the structure and even stairways with plexiglass barriers that led into the aisles.
The Bills released a statement on Monday about the stadium criticism. And at the time, the Kansas City-based architecture firm, Populous, declined comment to For The Win. On Wednesday, though, Jonathan Mallie — the managing director of Populous' Americas practice — called into Buffalo's WGR 550 to explain why the stairways were designed that way at Highmark Stadium.
Mallie said that there had to be a trade-off in order to provide 360-degree stadium views from the concourse:

All our journeys begin with a plane. A flight that takes us far away, to the other side of the world, with one certainty accompanying every departure: wherever we land, we will find an Inter family waiting for us.
That is the strength of being an Inter fan. A bond that knows no boundaries and, if anything, seems to grow stronger the further we are from Milan and San Siro. From Hong Kong to Perth, the affection, passion and unwavering devotion to the Nerazzurri colours never once wavered. Chants, banners, marches: a home away from home.
Ten days on tour that brought together football and people. Three high-level international fixtures against Manchester City, AC Milan and Juventus provided the team with valuable competitive minutes and momentum, with goals, key insights and important playing time ahead of the new season. In Hong Kong came the opening fixture against Manchester City, in a spectacular global setting; in Perth, the historic derby against AC Milan, the first to be played on Australian soil; and finally, the clash with Juventus to bring the tour to a close.
In Hong Kong, Inter built a continuous presence day after day. The team's arrival with partner Qatar Airways, travelling around the city and taking part in various local activities. The visit to BYD's headquarters in Shenzhen, at the heart of one of the world's most advanced technology hubs. In the city, the Fanatics Store at Hysan Place became a meeting point for the Nerazzurri faithful, where Christian Vieri met supporters for photos, autographs and a constant stream of passionate fans.In the stands during Manchester City vs. Inter, the supporters' choreography filled the stadium with colour, transforming an international fixture into a powerful expression of identity. Then, in the evening, the skyline took centre stage: a drone show lit up the Hong Kong sky with Nerazzurri symbols, colours and references, taking the Club beyond the pitch and into the heart of the city.
In Perth, the story became even more tangible and community-focused. Brookfield Place was transformed into the heart of Nerazzurri life: a fan zone, a meeting place and a shared ******* e for anticipation. Supporters and Inter Club members travelling from Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Indonesia, along with youngsters from Inter Academy Sydney, gathered in the same places every day, creating a genuine sense of continuity between the team and the community.

Couto Pereira witnessed a hilarious episode this Saturday (8) involving center-back Jacy during the clash between Coritiba and Chapecoense.
The home team captain found the net from a set piece and, during the celebration, jumped over one of the advertising boards by the side of the pitch.
The problem is that right where he decided to do it, there is one of the stairways leading onto the field.
When he landed on the other side of the advertising board, Jacy went straight into the tunnel, causing concern among his teammates.
To make matters worse, the goal was later disallowed for offside.

It's never great when you show up to play your local public golf course and find that the superintendent just had the fairways or greens punched—or both. Obviously, it's a necessary part of golf-course maintenance, otherwise you'd eventually be playing on dead grass, but it can wreak havoc on everything from putting to chipping to full-swing irons shots.
If you're new to the game, you should know that there are times when you can repair damage to a golf course. Under Rule 13.1c, for example, you can repair things such as spike marks, ball marks, old hole plugs and animal tracks on a putting green. Rule 16.1b allows you to take relief from abnormal course conditions in the general area.
But here's the thing: The definition of abnormal course conditions does not include aeration holes. If the maintenance crew created a hole after removing turf, a tree or to repair drainage pipes, you absolutely get relief. And the plugs created from punching the aeration holes are considered loose impediments and can be removed. However, the hole itself is considered just a normal part of course maintenance. If your putt is ******* py as a result, or your chip takes a sideways bounce on its way into a green, unfortunately, that is just part of the game.

One of Paul McGinley's finest hours in the game of golf came at Gleneagles, when the four-time European Tour winner led a veteran group of mostly thirty-somethings to a sound thumping of the Americans in the 40th playing of the Ryder Cup. The win marked the third straight victory for the European side and the eighth win in 10 tries.
McGinley used data prep like no other previous Ryder Cup captain, yet maintained the heartfelt camaraderie that helped make the side a power. He even drew on world-famous soccer managers in the process.
"Remember, you've got teammates, and like we've said all week, the mantra all week, wave after wave of attack," McGinley said of what he told his team Saturday night. "(If) we don't hit with the first wave, hit with the second; if we don't hit with the second, hit with the third. We're coming. … We're relentless, just like the way Man United used to play," he said, drawing inspiration from the English soccer club, whose legendary former manager Alex Ferguson had been enlisted to counsel the Europeans.
Although it's been a dozen years since that victory, McGinley showed the same comfort around the Scottish course on Thursday, posting an impressive 2 under during the first round of play at the ISPS Handa Senior Open.
"It was great. Obviously made some mistakes which I'm not happy about. My Christmas card [scorecard] is like a Christmas tree with different colors on it. A lot of good golf in there. I played well," he said. "The golf course is suiting me because I can chase it and there's a bit of run in the fairways, and course management was pretty good. And I really enjoyed it.

Hill finished at 1-under-par 215 (67-77-71) across the three-day tournament, which comes with a $700 purse.
He was the tournament's leader after Day 1, when he scored a five-under 67 — the top single-day score of the weekend — but struggled with a 77 on Day 2.
On Day 3, when others on the leaderboard faded, Hill shot one under to regain the lead.

SOUTHPORT, England — David Howard was age 7 when he was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. By the time he was a teenager — well before recent medical advances for this rare genetic condition — he’d found out via internet searches he wasn’t expected to live beyond his mid-20s.
Imagine, then, how blessed this Irishman, now 27, feels to be walking the sun-kissed fairways of Royal Birkdale and about to take on the best golfers in the world at the British Open.
“Here I am, as healthy as ever and playing at the Open. It’s just nuts,” Howard said with a smile at the back of the 18th green after his first practice round, in the company of former champions Padraig Harrington and Shane Lowry. “Yeah, I’d like to think I’m an inspiration.”
Being a qualified mechanic and No. 1,456 in the world amateur rankings ensures Howard, who came through one of four local qualifying events to take his place in golf’s oldest major, is no normal British Open participant.
Also making him different is what he packs in his golf bag for each round: As important as his clubs is his medication, with Howard taking up to 30 tablets a day to prevent infection and help digest food properly.

You might've noticed that this year's World Cup broadcasts have featured a heavy dose of on-screen cameos from celebrities, politicians, and the omnipresent FIFA president Gianni Infantino. And that's by design.
According to a recent report by Adam Crafton in The Athletic, FIFA mandate that its production partner, Host Broadcast Services, the company that produces the so-called "world feed" that every broadcaster across the globe uses for World Cup matches, air what's called a "dignitary shot" in each half of each match that showcases "the highest-ranking officials present at a game, as well as those described by FIFA in its accreditation system as "VVIPs" (Very, Very Important People)."
These VVIPs can include "heads of state, confederation officials, celebrities or members of soccer federations," Crafton reports.
The chief VVIP, it would appear, is Infantino, who reportedly made it a goal of catching two matches per day during the World Cup's group stage. Infantino reportedly used a private jet provided by Qatar Airways, a FIFA sponsor, to zip between multiple matches in a day.
The practice of showing Infantino on the broadcast apparently dates back to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, when emails were sent to television crews mandating the FIFA president be shown during the game. Later guidance would specify Infantino should not be shown while using his cellphone.

Delta Air Lines (DAL) is set to provide investors with their first major hint as to whether higher airfares are still holding.
That's important since airline stocks have been squeezed by two competing pressures in 2026. Unpredictable fuel prices have offset strong travel demand.
Now Bank of America believes the setting appears better than feared.
BofA upped price targets for the airline group in a July 1 research report reviewed by TheStreet, suggesting steady demand, stronger fares and reduced fuel costs may support greater profitability into second-quarter results.
The brokerage boosted its price target for Delta to $100 from $93 and for United Airlines Holdings (UAL) to $150 from $145. It also boosted objectives on American Airlines Group, Southwest Airlines, Alaska Air Group, JetBlue Airways, Frontier Group Holdings and Allegiant Travel.

The U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills gave us a fascinating mix of where golf style is today and where it's headed next. Cashmere cardigans, pop-over shirts, and quiet luxury footwear shared the spotlight with bright World Cup-inspired colors and a new generation of Tour talent eager to make a statement. The week's best looks felt less focused on performance and more focused on personal style. From Tommy Fleetwood's viral knitwear moment to signs that color may finally be creeping back onto the fairways, there was plenty to unpack along the shores of Long Island.
Tommy Fleetwood’s Cardigan
Andrew Redington
Apparel free agent Tommy Fleetwood delivered the biggest style moment of the week.
The Englishman had social media buzzing after stepping to the first tee in a relaxed-fit cardigan with a golf ball motif. Fleetwood has developed a reputation for finding gems in pro shops and merch tents, but this one felt more like the result of a detour through a New York City boutique on the way to Shinnecock.

A Delta Air Lines flight arriving at New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on Tuesday sparked a massive emergency response from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) after initial reports of landing gear trouble.
Delta Flight 1966, an Airbus A321neo traveling from San Juan, was carrying 170 passengers, two pilots and four flight attendants.
At 4:45 p.m. local time, authorities received a call reporting an inbound aircraft with "two flat front tires," FDNY officials told Fox News Digital.

Major championships are going to play harder than your average week on tour. It's not surprising to see players at the U.S. Women's Open missing more fairways and greens at Riviera, the ultimate strategic design. But there's something interesting in Nelly Korda's stats through three rounds that shows a player can miss a lot of greens, while still hitting it great.
Korda is the best ball-striker on the LPGA Tour and has averaged 77 percent greens in regulation during the 2026 season. At the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera C.C., Korda hit 56 percent of greens during the first round, 61 percent in the second round and 56 percent again in the third round. But the greens in regulation stat doesn't tell the entire story.
Strokes gained shows that though she's hit about the same amount of greens during each round, her ball-striking has improved significantly since Thursday. In that first round, Korda lost .65 strokes to the field in approach shots, ranking 101st in the field. The frustration was clear. She talked about a swing issue she'd been working on, where she was having trouble releasing the club, which was resulting in the ball flying off to the right. She went to the range and ultimately her sister, Jessica, told her to strengthen her grip.
The following round, she hit about the same number of greens, but her strokes gained stat changed considerably. In the second round, she gained 1.27 strokes on the field in approach, ranking 35th in the field. In the third round, she missed eight greens again but gained 2.62 strokes on the field, ranking third in strokes gained approach. She finished birdie-birdie-birdie to enter the final round with a share of the lead.
The greens in regulation stats show she's missing greens, but the strokes gained stats in her second and third rounds reveal that she's not missing by much, and she's missing in great places.

DUBAI, June 3 (Reuters) - Gulf hostilities flared again on Wednesday as Iranian attacks on Kuwait damaged its airport and injured dozens while the U.S. military carried out strikes near the Strait of Hormuz, with diplomacy to halt the war showing little sign of progress.
The ‌attacks are the latest to test a shaky ceasefire, sending oil prices up nearly 2%, as the strait remains largely closed more than three months ‌after the U.S. and Israel launched strikes on Iran.
Flights at Kuwait International Airport were suspended after an Iranian drone and missile attack damaged airport facilities and diplomatic missions, killing one person and injuring more than 60 others, Kuwaiti authorities and state media said.
Kuwait Airways and Jazeera Airways later resumed flights after taking safety measures, the civil aviation authority said.
