Spencer Pratt is seemingly making his feelings known about the Lindsay Clancy case following the mistrial in the Massachusetts mother's murder trial.
Pratt, 43, appeared to reference the case in a post on X on Thursday, September 10, days after a jury was unable to reach a unanimous verdict on whether Clancy, 36, should be held criminally responsible for killing her three children.
"Shout out to my mom for not strangling me to death with an exercise band when I was an infant," the Hills alum, who unsuccessfully ran for mayor of Los Angeles earlier this year, wrote. "You're the best, ma!"
Facebook/Lindsay Marie Clancy
Clancy was charged with murdering her children, Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months, at the family's Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023. Her defense did not dispute that she killed the children but argued that she was suffering from postpartum psychosis and should be found not guilty by reason of insanity. Prosecutors maintained that Clancy understood the wrongfulness of her actions.

One of the highlights in King Charles' calendar is the annual Braemar Gathering, which is traditionally held on the first Saturday in September.
The monarch was joined by his wife, Queen Camilla as he arrived at the event, which is held in the Aberdeenshire village of Braemar. As he arrived, the King was seen using a walking stick, which ***** O! has previously been reassured is his choice of accessory rather than a walking aid.
As is usual when Charles is in Scotland, the monarch wore a tartan kilt, and he also added a pair of knee-high red socks to his ensemble. Meanwhile, Camilla looked radiant in a green overcoat and tartan kilt, completing the look with a green beret.
As she arrived, Camilla was given a sprig of white heather, a traditional emblem of good luck.

Even Hollywood's brightest actors aren't immune to doubts about their biggest career moments. Despite the glitz, fame, and awards, some stars privately took issue with the very roles that made them household names, whether it was the script, the direction, or just how the project was received. Here's a look at the faces behind famous characters, and why these A-listers weren't always thrilled by the performances the world will never forget.
Pierce Brosnan's suave portrayal of James Bond cemented his image in pop culture, but he's been honest about feeling restricted by the role's formulaic demands. Back in 2005, Brosnan told CBS News about how the character "never felt real" for him, and how he felt "shackled by some contracted image," troubled, in particular, by the "stupid one-liners." Despite global fame, Brosnan struggled to inject depth into the iconic source and longed for greater creative freedom. His candidness sheds light on the pressures faced by actors entrenched in blockbuster franchises.
Katherine Heigl's turn as Dr. Izzie Stevens on Grey's Anatomy won her an Emmy and legions of fans, yet she publicly criticized the show's writing and ultimately withdrew her own name from award consideration. Heigl won Best Drama Supporting Actress in 2007 in a shocking upset, per Gold Derby. In 2024, she shared her reasoning, saying she "did not feel that she was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination" and therefore didn't submit her name or work for contention, as reported by TODAY. Heigl's frankness about her frustrations ignited industry debates about actors speaking out against their own work.
Josh Brolin shot to wider fame with roles like Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but he's spoken out about the mixed feelings that come from being recognized mostly for a CGI villain. For Brolin, playing a CGI character for a comic book film presented a unique challenge from an acting standpoint, and he revealed at his spotlight panel at New York Comic Con 2024 that he was able to lock into playing Thanos by channeling Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now, according to Popverse.
Amanda Seyfried became a staple of romantic comedies and musicals, yet her breakout as Karen Smith in Mean Girls left her ambivalent about being typecast as the "dumb blonde." While Seyfried acknowledged that Mean Girls helped her rise to stardom and got her "foot in the door," she noted that fighting against being pigeonholed was a constant battle, noting that without landing her role on Big Love, she was at risk of becoming forever defined as Karen Smith, as reported by Game Rant. Seyfried's journey is emblematic of rising above your own reputation in Hollywood.
