The Minnesota Vikings beat the Green Bay Packers to start the 2026 season with a win, but 29 of their points came in the final 17 minutes of the game. Plenty of questions surround the Vikings, and they don't solely revolve around the quarterback position.
Brian Flores' defense overwhelmed the Packers in the fourth quarter, but there were far too many wide-open Green Bay receivers throughout the day. Minnesota's offense did enough to win, but it will need more consistency moving forward so it isn't clawing its way back late in games.

(NewsNation) — Two days into their first term at a school in the United Kingdom, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet are already switching schools due to security concerns.
A spokesperson for the Duke and ***** ss of Sussex told People Magazine that the children were being removed from the school in the Cotswolds over security concerns that were unknown until the term began.
Those concerns included heavy traffic in the area, the distance between the school and the family's home, and that the concern was heightened after an incident that, ***** o magazine reports, "made it difficult for their vehicles to stay in convoy."

Jordan Love did his best to overcome the pass protection problems, and mostly succeeded until late in the game, when the floodgates finally opened and he was forced into multiple turnovers which sealed the Packers' fate.
Analyzing the performance is not straightforward, and there is plenty to unpack.
The first thing to note is that until the late-game collapse, the O-line was far from perfect, but was surviving a normal level of struggle one might expect against a maniacal Brian Flores defense on the road in a raucous stadium.
Add in the fact it was Week 1, when most teams are still kicking off the rust, and the Packers starting multiple new and inexperienced players, and it was a perfect storm for a tough afternoon, and yet they were still managing to put up points.

A prisoner's premature baby died in hospital a day after he was born by emergency Caesarean section, an inquest has heard.
Orion Homer was born at 01:06 on 15 October 2023 at Royal Derby Hospital at 34 weeks plus five days gestation and died the following day.
An inquest at Derby Coroner's Court heard his mother Ellen Roberts was a prisoner at HMP Foston Hall and was taken to the hospital on 14 October after she raised concerns about reduced foetal movement.
Orion was "gravely unwell and very pale" when he was born and needed CPR and breathing support, the inquest heard.
Roberts had spent some of her pregnancy in prison in June and July 2023, before she was released at the end of July but recalled back on 10 October, the jury inquest heard.

Major League Soccer has rescheduled FC Cincinnati's match against D.C. United for Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. ET at TQL Stadium.
The match, originally scheduled for Sept. 5, was rescheduled due to pitch conditions and resulting player safety concerns created by heavy rains and inclement weather in the Cincinnati area.
Both teams will then fly to the Washington D.C. area and play again three days later at Audi Field.
The new kickoff date adds to an already congested stretch for FC Cincinnati following an upcoming FIFA international window. They will play seven matches in 21 days from Oct. 10 to Oct. 31. Right before the D.C. doubleheader, Cincinnati will host archrival Columbus Oct. 18, then right after will play at Inter Miami Oct. 28.
Cincinnati dropped to ninth in the MLS Eastern Conference, occupying the last playoff spot, following a 3-3 draw with Charlotte Sept. 12, and now plays its next three games on the road, where the team is 1-6-5 in MLS play. TotalEnergies SE (NYSE:TTE) plans to invest $10 billion alongside its partners in Angola over the next five years, with the goal of maintaining and potentially increasing its oil production in the country. TotalEnergies currently produces around 450,000 barrels per day in Angola, making it the country's largest oil operator and accounting for more than 40% of its total output.
The investment will go toward existing operations, new exploration, and projects aimed at replacing production from Angola's aging offshore fields. Lululemon Athletica Inc. (NASDAQ:LULU) recently issued its second guidance cut of the year, and investors responded immediately by sending shares down roughly 18%. That selloff came despite an EPS beat, but the headline result was heavily supported by a tariff refund rather than underlying business strength. Brand sentiment, traffic, and leggings sales are all weakening across the company's two largest markets. First-half operating cash flow climbed to $589 million, more than double the prior year. Inventory per unit also declined roughly 7% year over year, reducing the risk of a margin-damaging clearance event. Meanwhile, shares have fallen over 50% year-to-date and now trade at a historically depressed valuation, potentially creating an out-of-favor-setup for investors. At the same time, management continued its buyback program, repurchasing $330 million worth of shares during the quarter.
The weakness in traffic and leggings sales cannot be ignored, and both remain serious concerns. However, the company has a debt-free balance sheet, stronger cash generation, and a valuation that already reflects much of the recent bad news. That gives Lululemon room to prove that its current struggles are mainly execution-related rather than signs of a structural decline.

The Colorado Buffaloes entered Saturday needing a more confident passing game after a tight opening win at Georgia Tech, and Julian Lewis supplied it before Weber State even had time to settle into the afternoon at Folsom Field.
On Colorado's first offensive snap, Lewis hit DeAndre Moore Jr. for a 66-yard touchdown. A few minutes later, Lewis found Joseph Williams for a 63-yard score, and Colorado had already put Weber State in a position where it needed to chase the game.
From my seat, the biggest development was how quickly Lewis played. The Buffs came out attacking downfield, trusting Lewis to make the reads and allowing the receivers to use their speed against Weber State's coverage.
Colorado's 52-21 win moved the Buffs to 2-0 for the first time since 2023. Lewis completed 17 of 23 passes for a career-high 366 yards, four touchdown passes and no interceptions. He added a 3-yard rushing touchdown before halftime, accounting for five scores before leaving the game with 5:50 remaining in the third quarter.
The 52-point afternoon came with a few defensive concerns, particularly in the secondary, but Colorado showed far more life offensively than it did a week ago. Conor Benn and Ryan Garcia both comfortably made the welterweight limit for their WBC ****** le fight, despite concerns at how they would fare on the scales.
Briton Benn, 29, weighed in at 10st 6lb (66kg) for Saturday's bout - half a pound heavier than the champion.
The official weigh-in took place behind closed doors at the UFC Apex on Friday, but only 12 hours later, Benn revealed on social media that he had put on 32lbs to reach 12st 10lb (81.65kg).
Speaking at a ceremonial event in front of fans later on Friday, Benn already looked noticeably bigger, his face and shoulders having filled out.
"Did it look hard? How did I look?," he asked. "We'll see tomorrow night how good I really feel."

Instead of securing a victory to take a step toward correcting the early part of the season, the Scarlet Knights came out on the wrong end of a mistake-filled performance.
The questions about the direction of the program this season – and beyond – only continue to increase.
Greg Schiano's team lost to Boston College 28-21 Friday night at Alumni Stadium, its second straight loss to open the season after its embarrassing defeat to UMass that opened the season.
The Scarlet Knights closed the gap in the fourth quarter with a 60-yard touchdown catch by KJ Duff, and they had another chance to get into the end zone with two minutes left but AJ Surace, making his first career start, threw an interception that killed the drive.

Hours before its fourth game of the season, Pasadena High School (California) announced that it is canceling the rest of its 2026 varsity high school football season.
The school hopes to play its remaining games on a junior varsity-only schedule. The Bulldogs — who won the CIF Southern Section football championship for the first time since 1933 in 2024 — cited concerns about player safety as the reason.
Starting with Friday, Sept. 11's, matchup against Monrovia, Pasadena will forfeit the remaining seven games on its varsity schedule. The team lost 21 seniors from a team that went 6-5 in 2025.
The Pasadena Unified School District sent an email to the parents of players on the team on Friday, citing the loss of ten potential starters transferring out of district.
"As you know, we began the football season with a young and enthusiastic varsity team that now has 46 members," the school district said in its statement. "During the off-season, ten potential starters transferred to schools outside the district. These transfers affected the team's collective skill and experience level.
