The New England Patriots officially revealed on Tuesday that they will wear their 'Nor'easter' uniforms on December 6 against the Buffalo Bills.
The Patriots debuted their rivalry uniforms during the Thursday Night Football game against the New York Jets last November. The theme was inspired by New England's coastal weather and maritime history. The uniforms were a big hit with Patriots fans, and now the team will don them once again in a pivotal AFC East clash with the rival Bills.
It could be a game with serious playoff implications given the timing. The rivalry was brought back to life with the Patriots' emergence as Super Bowl contenders last season. Both teams tied the regular season series at one game apiece.
The Patriots blew a 21-point lead in a loss to the Bills at Gillette Stadium last season. So they'll clearly be looking for revenge at home later this year.
However, the two teams will meet for the first time in Week 4 of the 2026 season at the new Highmark Stadium at Orchard Park.

New England did not simply sneak into the playoffs during Vrabel's first season. The Patriots won 14 games, captured their first AFC East **** le since 2019 and advanced through three postseason rounds. They defeated the Los Angeles Chargers and Houston Texans at Gillette Stadium before earning a 10-7 road victory over the Denver Broncos in the AFC Championship Game.

Trotter may not get the opportunity, but he deserves more playing time. He proved as much against the Patriots, shooting through the A-gap in the first quarter to sack quarterback Tommy DeVito.

As I mulled over which of the Eagles developmental offensive linemen I should begin with on my stock report, the conversation from a few months ago surrounding the potential drop-off in development for those exact players because of Jeff Stoutland's departure came to mind.
For as loud as the concerns about the Eagles continuing to bring along unusual offensive linemen in a post-Stoutland world were after the longtime **** istant coach's resignation in February, it feels fitting to begin tonight's stock report with Kuper, who has done a nice job in his first summer as offensive line coach with the likes of Markel Bell, Drew Kendall, and Willie Lampkin.
Each member of that trio had highlight moments in the early going of a resurgent night from the Eagles offense. Bell carved out a massive running lane for Will Shipley on the Eagles' first scoring drive of the night and, on the next play, Lampkin and Kendall combined for a combo block that washed two Patriots defenders five yards off the line of scrimmage as Will Shipley ran in for a touchdown.

Deion Sanders was recently deposed as part of a federal lawsuit accusing the Colorado football coach of defrauding the graphic designer who created his "Prime" logo.
In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Nebraska, Omaha–based graphic designer Alan Tipp alleges that Sanders and his representatives fraudulently induced him into signing away his rights to a pair of logos he first created for the Hall of Fame cornerback in 2011. The two logos—stylized text of the words "Prime" and "Truth"—have since become staples of Sanders's branding during his tenures as the head coach at Jackson State and Colorado.
According to the complaint, Sanders began using the logos around the same time he co-founded Prime Prep Academy in 2011. The design has also appeared in a wide range of commercial partnerships tied to Sanders, the lawsuit says, including Under Armour, Gillette, Jeep, Lamborghini, Aflac, Boost Mobile, and Motorola.
While Tipp initially filed the lawsuit in January 2025, the case's docket was updated on July 30, 2026, to reflect that Sanders was scheduled to be deposed. Front Office Sports has since confirmed that deposition has already taken place. Sanders, merchandise company Prime Time Enterprises, and talent/brand management firm SMAC Entertainment are all listed as defendants in the suit.
Tipp alleges he was approached by Sanders's brand manager and a SMAC Entertainment representative, Sam Morini, shortly after Colorado hired the former Cowboys star in December 2022. According to the claim, Morini sought to have Tipp sign all past, present, and future rights to the logos over to Sanders, who had just been hired by Colorado.

But the Indianapolis special teams coordinator waved off the cart and walked off the field at Gillette Stadium, and he immediately returned to practice when the Colts were back on the field Saturday. From the sounds of it, Mason is not planning to have surgery on the joint.
"He's pretty tough," Steichen said. "Obviously, he's back out here in a brace. I think, right now, he's going to let that thing heal. He has some serious injuries, which is wild, but he's going to be up in the box for these next two preseason games, just for precautionary reasons."
Mason has coached from the field the last two days, wearing a sizable brace on his left leg.

The New England Patriots made four roster moves Saturday as Mike Vrabel's team continued adjusting its depth following its preseason opener. New England signed offensive linemen Darrian Dalcourt and Joe Michalski, adding two versatile interior options to the training camp roster. The Patriots also released long snapper Niko Lalos and placed guard Andrew Rupcich on injured reserve.
The moves come two days after New England opened its preseason schedule against the Indianapolis Colts at Gillette Stadium. With roster decisions approaching, the Patriots are using the remaining weeks of camp to evaluate potential depth pieces throughout the offensive line.
Dalcourt entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens in 2024. The New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts tied 13-apiece in their Week 1 preseason matchup on Thursday.
There were highlights and lowlights on the offensive side of the ball for the Patriots. Keep in mind that none of the starters played in the game. As a result, the offensive unit was led at different points by backup quarterbacks Tommy DeVito and Behren Morton.
The unit itself accumulated 275 total yards on 69 plays, including 192 passing yards. The ground game wasn't as much of a factor as the Patriots probably would have hoped.
Wideout Kyle Williams scored the only touchdown for New England by hauling in a reception on a 12-yard pass from DeVito. Beyond that, the Patriots were only able to scrape by with a couple of field goals off the foot of Andy Borregales, who also had three misses on the night.
The Patriots led the time of possession well with a 32:07-27:53 advantage over the Colts. Yet, despite extra time and more possessions, the Patriots were not able to get anything going consistently on offense. That led to a stalemate with the visiting Colts at Gillette Stadium.

When the New England Patriots took the Gillette Stadium fields on Tuesday for their joint session with the Indianapolis Colts, Christian Gonzalez was nowhere to be seen. The star cornerback did not make a late entry either; for the first time this training camp, he missed practice.
Gonzalez's absence comes in light of his ongoing contract negotiation with the Patriots. Naturally, it raised questions whether or not the two were related.
According to a report by Greg Bedard of the Boston Sports Journal, they were not. Gonzalez apparently sat out the session due to a "minor injury sustained at the end of Monday's practice."
The 24-year-old appeared to hurt his ankle during that particular session, trying to defend a touchdown pass from Drake Maye to Romeo Doubs. He did not receive any medical attention on the field and left the session with no obvious limitation.
Speculation nonetheless ran high on Tuesday, especially with Gonzalez seemingly throwing oil on the fire on social media later during the day:

According to head coach Shane Steichen, the Indianapolis Colts will rotate their two primary backup quarterbacks, Anthony Richardson and Riley Leonard, during the team's upcoming Thursday night preseason opener on the road against the New England Patriots (via The Athletic's James Boyd):
Rather unsurprisingly, Colts starting quarterback Daniel Jones, who's seemingly shown no signs of his torn Achilles suffered last year so far during team training camp, will not play in the team's Preseason Week 1 game—especially on newly installed turf that the Patriots field crew is rushing to get down in Gillette Stadium by Thursday night.
Both Richardson and Leonard have shown inconsistency so far throughout training camp, with neither quarterback arguably clearly separating from the other competitor for the Colts' QB2 job behind Jones.
That means it could come down to their respective preseason performances, as well as their work behind-the-scenes, which is the key reason why Jones bested out Richardson for the Colts' QB1 job last year after rather even on-the-field performances throughout last year's training camp and preseason games.
If Richardson doesn't clearly separate himself through all three facets: training camp, preseason, and off-the-field work, then the default to me, would be Leonard ultimately winning the QB2 job for the Colts going forward.

According to ESPN NFL reporter Mike Reiss, the New England Patriots are 'all hands on deck' this week to replace the freshly installed World Cup turf at Gillette Stadium ahead of their Thursday night preseason opening game against the Indianapolis Colts:
The post-World Cup field turf passed general tests, but failed separate laboratory testing protocols because it lacked a rubber shock pad (E-layer) that is apparently required under lab specifications for concrete bases—and apparently Gillette Stadium uses a stone-dust base.
Reportedly, the replacement turf will be one that the Patriots used last for their Divisional Round win against the Colts' AFC South rival Houston Texans on January 18th, 2026.
At any rate, the Colts are no strangers to preseason turf issues, as the 2016 Hall of Fame game between the Colts and Green Bay Packers was infamously called off hours before the 'kickoff to preseason' game because the stadium crew accidentally applied the wrong type of paint during touchups, causing it to fail to dry properly.
Specifically, the paint used on the midfield logo and end zones congealed and turned rubbery, creating slippery footing and unsafe conditions for potential participating players.

After one day without an audience, the New England Patriots returned to the fields behind Gillette Stadium on Tuesday for their ninth practice of training camp. The fans were treated to an entertaining session.

The deep passing game: Kayshon Boutte, A.J. Brown and Mack Hollins, the biggest top-level receivers on New England's roster, made several big plays on Tuesday. Their stat lines show how involved they were: Boutte caught a team-leading five passes in team drills, followed by Brown and Hollins hauling in four receptions each.
Boutte did most of his damage against the second-string defense, and remains the factual WR4 behind Brown, Romeo Doubs and DeMario Douglas, but it is clear just how much trust both Drake Maye and Tommy DeVito have in him. He rewarded that trust with multiple downfield receptions on Tuesday — including in both QB's two-minute drill situations.
The same was true for Hollins, whose most notable play was a deep sideline shot from DeVito for what would have been a 40-plus-yard touchdown in a true game setting. Overall, the veteran has been productive the last two days and continues to be a key target in select situations.

Former New England Patriots second-round pick Ja'Lynn Polk has decided to retire from football. His new team, the New Orleans Saints, placed him on the Reserve/Retired list over the weekend.

The Patriots traded Polk to the Saints last year after he suffered a season-ending shoulder injury. The deal sent Polk and a 2028 seventh-round pick to New Orleans in exchange for a sixth-round pick. Now, the former Patriots receiver has chosen to end his playing career.

While the pads remained on for the New England Patriots on Saturday, the practice scripts were thrown away as Mike Vrabel and the coaching staff instead simulated in-game drives.
"There is no script, so the players won't have what the play is or what the situation is, which we always like to do here, and give them an opportunity to go play, get into a little bit of rhythm, get into a little bit of conditioning, create a drive," Vrabel explained.
