PHILADELPHIA − The start of training camp brings about hope for the coming season. It also brings about competition.
That competition is something the Eagles want at every position, whether it's for starting jobs, backup roles, or even coveted spots on the 53-man roster.
For the Eagles, that competition begins with the first training camp practice on July 29. For many, that competition will continue throughout camp, the joint practices with the Patriots (and ex-Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown) and the three preseason games.

The 10-12 Maryland Little League Baseball State Championship was held last week in Hagerstown, Maryland, as teams from across Maryland competed for the state ***** le and a spot at the Mid-Atlantic Regionals. But only one team could walk away with that honor, and that team would be the Berlin Little League team.
After winning the District 8 Championship over local rivals, Berlin Little League arrived at the Maryland State Championship Tournament as one of seven teams hoping to take one step closer towards an appearance at the Little League World Series. NBA insider Shams Charania recently revealed details of the package that was offered from Golden State to Milwaukee for Giannis Antetokounmpo before he landed with the Miami Heat. According to Charania, the Warriors offered four first-round picks to land Antetokounmpo, an offer that was ultimately rebuffed by the Bucks.
Charania also revealed that Golden State was in talks to land Jaylen Brown from the Boston Celtics but wasn't comfortable giving up the same amount of draft capital that they offered for Giannis.
All in all, both Brown and Antetokounmpo wound up with other contenders, leaving the Warriors searching for another true star to pair with Stephen Curry.

NEW YORK, July 27 (Reuters) - The former JPMorgan Chase banker whose lurid **** ual harassment lawsuit went viral added new claims and defendants on Monday, saying the largest U.S. bank's acceptance of racism and **** ual coercion irreparably destroyed his career.
Chirayu Rana said racism was ingrained in the culture of his otherwise all-white leveraged finance team, where his South Asian heritage "became the punchline for a stream of degrading jokes," including calling him a "monkey" and "brown boy."
JPMorgan has said it believed Rana's allegations were meritless. Neither the bank nor its lawyers had an immediate comment.
In an 82-page complaint, Rana, who is of Nepali descent, added allegations that colleagues suggested he transact in rupees, and one texted that he should "run before we call ICEE {sic} on your family," referring to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

In case one lives under a rock, the Philadelphia 76ers landed LeBron James in free agency. The future Hall of Famer, 41, is set to enter his 24th season in the league, but he is still one of the game's best after averaging 20.9 points, 7.2 ****** ists, and 6.1 rebounds in the 2025-26 season. His presence immediately transforms the Sixers in so many ways.
Let's just start with his versatility. James can play all five positions on the floor and can still stuff a box score no matter where he's placed in terms of his position and whoever is on the floor with him. The way James can just grab a rebound and immediately take it the other way and start a transition opportunity is going to be important for this group to take advantage of Tyrese Maxey and VJ Edgecombe for easy buckets.
Another thing that stands out is when Joel Embiid inevitably has to miss games. The presence of James makes it easy at the center spot now. James can now slide to the 5 in some lineups to replace Embiid as he can help Adem Bona and Ariel Hukporti fill the void. James will be able to play that spot and continue to play at a high level as there will be plenty of nights when he will have the mismatch, even at this stage of his career.
Shooting will be somewhat of an issue as it isn't like James lights it up from 3-point range, and Embiid isn't a knockdown shooter, but Maxey, Edgecombe, and, at times, Jaylen Brown can pick up the slack from there. The Sixers should still be able to have enough ****** ing with the lineup thanks to those three and they should be able to find efficiency and a groove with those lineups.
James is the ultimate player to have on the floor as he is the Queen piece on the chessboard. Coach Nick Nurse and his staff will have plenty of ways to use him on the floor and in different lineup combinations. It finally happened: LeBron James has decided where he wants to play next, and he's pairing up with former Wildcats Tyrese Maxey and Justin Edwards with the Philadelphia 76ers.
If you're a LeBron fan, like me, you have to be on cloud 9.
If you're not, but you're a Kentucky fan, you should still be very excited. The last time LeBron teamed up with a former Cat, it resulted in a championship. LeBron and AD were unstoppable when they first teamed up with the Los Angeles Lakers; I wish we could've seen them healthier together.
Nonetheless, it looks like this will be LeBron's last stop before retirement, and what better way to finish it than with Maxey, Edwards, V.J. Edgecombe, Jaylen Brown, and Joel Embiid.

Whether Kayshon Boutte remains a New England Patriot or not, the 24-year-old wide receiver was present and accounted for at the start of training camp.
Boutte is entering the final year of his rookie contract, and there's still a chance that he winds up on the trade block at some point. His presence on the roster makes the team better, but it won't benefit him in the long run with his future contract tied to this season's production.
The best opportunity for Boutte would come in an offense where he'd see significant snaps and maximize his stat output. He won't have an opportunity to do that in New England, where A.J. Brown and Romeo Doubs are expected to be the top receivers.
With that said, the Patriots aren't going to give Boutte away, either. NFL insider Albert Breer noted that he believed that the former LSU standout could have been had for a fifth-round draft pick during the 2026 NFL Draft. If that remains the case, a receiver-needy team could float the Patriots an offer at some point.
Until that happens, it looks like Boutte is in New England to stay.

The New England Patriots are set to begin training camp on Saturday. Gates open at 9:15 a.m. ET, and practice starts at 10:15 a.m. ET.
Practices will be located on the upper grass fields directly behind Gillette Stadium. Attendance is completely free to the public, and general parking is also free during the public practice days. There will be 13 training camp dates in total for fans to watch live.

LeBron James certainly took his time when it came to choosing his next NBA team in free agency after the Los Angeles Lakers were informed on June 30 that he wouldn't be staying with them. On Friday, July 23, he finally decided to join the Philadelphia 76ers on a two-year, $8 million contract with a player option on the second year.

The Philadelphia 76ers landed LeBron James in free agency as they were able to land the future Hall of Famer on a 2-year $8 million deal with the second year being a player option. On Friday, July 24, 2026, New Orleans Saints defensive end Cameron Jordan hosted his 8th annual C3 Youth Football Camp at the Ochsner Sports Performance Center in Metairie.
Jordan's teammate Saints wide receiver Barion Brown was also in attendance.
The annual event was held for over 200 local area children from ages 5 to 12. As a part his foundation, Jordan's 3C Football Camp helps to promote "character, confidence and courage" by challenging every kid, at every level, every day with football, and life skills.
