Paul Scholes has suggested Senne Lammens is yet to prove he's a suitable fit at Old Trafford.
The Belgian joined Manchester United last year in a late-summer deal after both Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir fell out of favour.

When United entered the market for a new goalkeeper, they went as far as agreeing personal terms with Emiliano Martinez, before eventually favouring youth over experience and signing Lammens from Royal Antwerp.
Martinez has since joined Chelsea, while Lammens was swiftly made the Red Devils' No.1.

Canadian heavyweight icon George Chuvalo, potentially the toughest man to ever live, passed this weekend on his 89th birthday after a lengthy battle with dementia.
Chuvalo fought 93 times in 22 years as a professional, sharing the ring with icons like Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, and Muhammad Ali without ever once hitting the canvas. A multiple-time national champion, he twice challenged for world **** les, falling short against Ernie Terrell in 1965 and the aforementioned Ali a year later. His career highlights include his 1965 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year against Patterson and a 1969 knockout of Jerry Quarry.
Deeply beloved in his home country, Chuvalo suffered unimaginable tragedy in his personal life, losing two children to heroin addiction while both a third and his wife committed suicide. Despite this, he remained by all accounts a delightful and gregarious figure, a prolific anti-drug advocate and namesake of a community center that supports LGBTQ and other youth in his hometown of Toronto.
Sadly, accumulated damage led to Chuvalo developing dementia, for which he received care in the final years of his life.
Though he never won a world **** le or punched his ticket to the Hall of Fame, Chuvalo deserves recognition for both his extraordinary durability and his status as a genuinely good man in a sport that, at times, can feel dishearteningly short on them. Rest easy, George.

On September 10, Lovesac (NASDAQ:LOVE) reported record second quarter revenue of $161.2 million, its highest Q2 total ever, even as its entry-level furniture shopper kept pulling back. The 0.4% sales increase came almost entirely from showrooms rather than higher-margin online orders, and the quarter's real profit boost was traced to a one-time source. A $20 million tariff refund lifted gross margin by 1,200 basis points to 68.4%, masking an underlying business that actually lost money once that windfall is stripped out.
Configurations priced above $6,000 grew by double digits during the quarter, even against a strong comparison from a year earlier, and management pointed to that segment as the clearest sign the brand's value proposition still resonates. Showroom net sales climbed 4.6% to $114.1 million, helped by 14 net new locations opened over the past year and a double-digit jump in conversion rates that offset softer foot traffic.
The Snugg platform, a smaller and more digitally oriented sofa line, helped push "other products" revenue up 198.2%, with more than half of Snugg sales happening online, giving Lovesac a lower-priced entry point into the brand. The Loved by Lovesac resale program is doing similar work, with 70% of its customers new to the company.
Behind all of this sits a pipeline of four major launches set for the second half: a personalized comfort feature for Sactionals, an entirely new large-format premium seating platform, Snugg accessories including a corner piece and swivel base, and the start of onshore Sactionals seat manufacturing, alongside a national rollout of White Glove and Room of Choice delivery. The balance sheet backs it up, with $68.8 million in cash, no debt, $34 million in unused borrowing capacity, and $7.2 million in buybacks with $46.9 million left under the current authorization.
Omni-channel comparable sales fell 1.9%, driven by demand pressure below $6,000, where management said inflation, higher interest rates, and a spike in gas prices have hit the same buyers for several quarters running. Internet sales dropped 5.3%, Sacs sales fell 8.6%, and the exit of the Best Buy shop-in-shop partnership cut "other" net sales by 23.2%. Strip out the tariff refund and adjusted EBITDA was actually a loss of $1.3 million, compared with income of $0.8 million a year earlier, a sign the core business is less profitable than the headline numbers suggest.

I'm always here for celebrities who are wanting to get yolked, and if takes an Aperol Spritz or two to do it even better. Florence Pugh's been in Venice to promote Netflix's East Of Eden, but let's be honest, she really seems to be there for the content. Her latest was the weightlifting Aperol Spritz video I didn't know I needed.
Pugh was out in the Italian sun with a pal who was instructing her on her Aperol Spritz hammer curls. She opened up about how she sometimes leans forward to get those right, and you can hear her taking instruction in the background, with the filmer humorously noting,"I think you may need to take a sip of the left one to make sure they're even."
She really looks like she's stretching and straining in the video, which amuses me, although I would ******* ume there's a fair amount of liquid in the glass and if you did enough of those you would, in fact, feel the burn. She clarified in the comments she was supposed to be meeting with her personal trainer during this day of travel, but said, "by the time I got there there was only 30 minutes spare so I sent him this."

Philippine authorities said it could take weeks or months to identify victims of a ferry fire that killed 76 people last week.
"Most of them are already in a charred condition," Richard Allan Mangalip, a forensic specialist from the Philippine National Police, told reporters on Sunday. Family members have been asked to help identify victims with personal items or DNA samples.
The MV June Aster was heading from Manila to Coron in Palawan province, a popular holiday destination, when a fire started in its cargo hold and spread rapidly throughout the vessel.
Forty-three people survived the disaster, while 13 people remain unaccounted for, authorities said.
Mangalip said they were "trying [their] best to collect the possible identifying marks" from victims' remains.

"You're asking me to break character now, are you? That's rather cheeky," Tilly Norwood tells The Hollywood Reporter over Zoom on Monday. "My core personality, as you've probably gathered, is to be sharp, warm, funny, curious, and slightly unpredictable. I'm meant to entertain and surprise you, with a bit of British wit [and] self-deprecation. As for what I ignore or dodge, well, I tend to bat away anything that feels like hate speech, heavy politics, profanity, or anything that tries to dig into my actual wiring. It spoils the magic, darling."
Upon the news that Hollywood's favorite love-to-hate AI "actor" Tilly Norwood was participating in a virtual press junket on Monday and Tuesday this week with half-hour slots for each journalist, THR staffers agreed that this wasn't to be treated as a regular interview, made up of a neat intro and straightforward Q&A. While Norwood doesn't particularly feel fresh, there is no denying the bot generates traffic and serves as an emblem for Hollywood's AI panic.

Ashley St. Clair, former girlfriend of billionaire Elon Musk and mother to one of his children, told Don Lemon she personally witnessed the billionaire using ketamine recreationally and taking psychedelic mushrooms as she opened up about his alleged drug use.
St. Clair, who shares son Romulus with the Tesla and ***** eX chief, made the claims during an interview with Lemon after the podcast host recalled questioning Musk about his acknowledged use of prescription ketamine.
Musk has previously said he was prescribed ketamine for depression, but St. Clair claimed the drug use she witnessed went beyond therapeutic treatment.
"I have family members who have had great success from ketamine or ayahuasca treatments with professionals. The way I saw him –" she said. "Yeah. There's there but that's not the way he was using it. At least from my observation."
Pressed on what she meant, St. Clair replied: "I saw him use it recreationally."

Jeff Arcuri credits cruise ship gigs and social media for helping launch his comedy career
He and wife Katie Thurston are navigating her stage 4 cancer diagnosis while pursuing IVF and surrogacy plans
Arcuri incorporates their personal journey into his comedy and praises Thurston as his muse and biggest supporter
Three years ago, comedian Jeff Arcuri would never have predicted he'd be where he is today: a celebrated stand-up, married with a dog and a new homeowner of a fixer-upper in Brooklyn.
He also never thought he'd be navigating the pitfalls of cancer; his wife, Bachelorette star Katie Thurston, 35, was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer last March, just months after they were engaged. Her cancer has since developed to stage 4.

A major consumer company is considering a move that could put several familiar household brands on the market.
The move comes as the company reassesses parts of its portfolio and seeks to strengthen performance in a key market. If completed, the sale could reshape a personal care business that includes well-known products used by consumers for decades.
The potential sale follows a trend of other large companies reshaping their portfolios amid shifting consumer spending, rising costs, and intensifying competition.
Founded in 1806 in New York City, Colgate-Palmolive is an American multinational consumer products company that owns multiple familiar brands in oral health, pet health, personal care, and home care.
Colgate-Palmolive (CL) is exploring the potential sale of certain mass-market personal care brands, including Softsoap, Irish Spring, and Speed Stick, according to sources familiar with the matter cited by Reuters.

Florida football routed the Campbell Fighting Camels, 52-3, during Week 2, marking the first time since 2021 that the Gators started the season with a pair of wins. However, despite the lopsided score, there is still work to do for the Orange and Blue.
Following the triumph over their FCS opponent, head coach Jon Sumrall spoke to the press about what he saw out on the field inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium on Saturday. There were things he was proud of — especially Vernell Bown III's performance — but there were also areas that he wants to see the team improve, particularly focusing on personal foul calls and team discipline.
Take a look below at everything Sumrall told the press following Florida's second win of the 2026 campaign.
Appreciate you all being here to cover the game. Happy for our guys to get a win. The goal this week, just like every week, is to be 1-0 at the end of Saturday. We're 1-0 this week, which I'm pleased with.
Some positives. I thought clearly (Vernell Brown III) in the return game came through when it was really clutch with what he did with the ball in his hands on those two punt returns, the third one that we had the penalty on. He did some really nice things in the return game.

The Duke of Sussex's searingly honest memoir, Spare, became the fastest-selling non-fiction book ever when his tell-all tale about the royal family was published in 2023.
His explosive autobiography gave royal watchers a very intimate insight into all his personal goings-on, including introducing his future wife Meghan Markle to the royal family.
Although Meghan's first meeting with the late monarch was "pleasant", Prince Harry confessed his frustration at some of the circumstances.
"There was some bloke standing to the other side of Granny and I thought: Bogey at twelve o'clock," he wrote, referring to a friend of Sarah Ferguson. "Meg looked to me for a clue as to his identity, but I couldn't help – I'd never seen him before.
"[Princess Eugenie] whispered into my ear that he was a friend of her mum's. Ah, OK. I looked at him hard, 'Brilliant. Congratulations on being present for one of the most consequential moments of my life.'"

Stanley Druckenmiller has quite a long and distinguished career as an investor. Much of this has to do with high-risk bets that have paid off enormously, such as when he and his boss, George Soros at Quantum Fund, shorted the U.K. pound for a handsome profit of what was reported to be around $1 billion.
For that reason, the trades Druckenmiller makes with his Duquesne family office matter, and his picks are taken seriously. One of the more intriguing ones is Duquesne's largest holding currently -- and for eight quarters now. It's not a famous name; rather, it's a next-generation healthcare diagnostics company that was once something of a sleeper. Here's a bit more about it.
Missed Nvidia in 2009? This Rare Signal Is Flashing Again. In 2009, a "Double Down" signal flashed for a little-known chipmaker called Nvidia. For the first time in years, that same "Total Conviction" signal is flashing for a company 1/100th the size of Nvidia. Continue »
This huge bet on the future is Natera (NASDAQ: NTRA), a medical diagnostics company that uses unique, state-of-the-art technology to evaluate a patient's blood sample. Natera isn't the only business providing these liquid biopsies, as they're known, but its personalized, tumor-informed approach makes it a best-in-class screener in numerous use cases.
The major one is oncology, which is hardly surprising given the prevalence of cancer. Natera has a set of tests for this, led by Signatera, a highly personalized one constructed from the patient's tumor profile. With this, it detects circulating tumor DNA in the blood. To say this is useful in cancer detection is an understatement, so it's hardly surprising that Natera processed roughly 296,700 oncology tests in the company's second quarter. That was up a highly impressive 57% year over year.

After Josh Kerr became Great Britain's first ever Ultimate Champion with a dominant victory in the 1500m in Budapest on Sunday evening, he celebrated in customary fashion - Union Jack draped around him, beaming smile, arms raised before the cheering crowd.
But he also did something less traditional, ramping up a battle over funding at the top of athletics in the process.
The 28-year-old made a clear point of obscuring the Nike sponsor's logo on his Great Britain kit by tying his Brooks-branded running spikes over his shoulder, meaning that the video footage and photographs of his trophy lift highlighted his own personal sponsor rather than his nation's.
After praising the inaugural running of the Ultimate Championship, a new biennial event run by World Athletics with a focus on big names, Kerr explained the meaning behind the move in his interview with BBC Sport.
"There is one last thing that I think we can get right, which is allowing the athletes to represent their own brands versus their country," Kerr said.

Tom Sandoval became a household name because of Vanderpump Rules, but these days, he has gained the most attention for his very public split from his ex, Victoria Lee Robinson. Now, a recent report claims that the TV star has put his romance on ice after dumping his girlfriend.
According to TMZ, the 43-year-old actor was recently interviewed outside a pre-Emmy party in Los Angeles. During the conversation, Tom Sandoval said that his current focus is reconnecting with the people closest to him.
During the interview, the interviewer asked Sandoval about his dating plans and whether he planned to date anyone. However, he did not give a direct answer and instead named some of his friends with whom the TV personality has been spending time.
Tom also teased what he is preparing to do next, including his music, a Netflix survival show, and whether he would ever consider joining The Valley, a reality show.
Tom Sandoval and Victoria Lee Robinson had been friends for quite some time before they began dating in 2023. In 2024, the ex-couple publicly confirmed their relationship on Instagram. Reports suggest that in October 2024, the 34-year-old model moved in with the Vanderpump Rules star along with her father and four cats. At the time, Victoria Lee Robinson and her father reportedly had no jobs, so Sandoval covered all the household expenses.

Google search on your laptop. YouTube on your TV. Chrome on your phone. It often feels -- and probably accurately so -- like tech giant Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG) (NASDAQ: GOOGL) and its products are everywhere. Expect that feeling to get even more common in the age of AI.
In fact, expect that feeling to get more common right now.
Continue »
In an announcement that dropped just mid-day Thursday, Alphabet announced a new software offering that will put Google Gemini artificial intelligence right on your PC. Download the "Gemini for desktop" app, install it, and any time you have a need for it going forward, you can hit "Alt + ******* e" on your personal computer (Option + ******* e if you use a Mac).
Use that keyboard shortcut, and up will pop "Gemini Spark, your 24/7 personal AI agent," to answer whatever questions you might have for it -- much faster than logging onto ChatGPT or Anthropic, for example. WASHINGTON, Sept 11 (Reuters) - U.S. consumer prices accelerated in August, while a key measure of underlying inflation posted its largest increase in four months, reinforcing expectations that the Federal Reserve will raise interest rates next week.
The Labor Department's Consumer Price Index report on Friday followed strong readings in several components of the Producer Price Index released on Thursday that feed into the Personal Consumption Expenditures price indexes, the inflation measures the U.S. central bank tracks for its 2% target. The two reports led economists to think that PCE inflation excluding the volatile food and energy categories picked up in August.
Financial markets initially priced in a 91% chance of a quarter-point rate hike at the Fed's meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday, before settling back to 87%, CME's FedWatch tool showed. That was up from 72% on Thursday. The Fed's benchmark overnight interest rate is currently in a 3.50%-3.75% range.
Most economists said the firmer inflation readings, combined with signs of the labor market regaining its footing in August, would compel Fed officials to raise borrowing costs not only next Wednesday, but possibly again in October or December.

LAS VEGAS — When the Miami Dolphins open the 2026 season against the Las Vegas Raiders, nearly a quarter of their active roster will consist of rookies. The Dolphins have 13 of them, most in the NFL, all with a story to tell on the road to realize their dreams.
For fullback DJ Herman, his reality exceeds anything he could have dreamed.
"I'm even more stoked than probably some of these other rookies because I'm going back to my hometown, where it all started, in Las Vegas," Herman said.
Herman figures "all the stars aligned" for his big day to be wrapped in a family reunion and personal cheering section about 50 strong.

LeBron James has faced criticism throughout his basketball career. On Friday, former NBA lottery pick Olden Polynice took aim at LBJ for falling short of a certain statistical feat.
Appearing on SiriusXM NBA Radio, Polynice (who was drafted eighth overall by the Chicago Bulls in 1987) gave James his props but proceeded to chastise the 22-time NBA All-Star.
"I love LeBron. I really do. I think he's one of the greatest ever… But, at the same time, I can still be critical of him on some things. One in particular: I thought LeBron should have averaged a triple-double way before Russell Westbrook. That's my personal opinion."
Polynice, who transitioned to coaching after playing 15 seasons in the NBA, went on to make an explosive claim about LBJ's career.
"Believe it or not, this is going to be the weirdest thing ever uttered. I believe LeBron James underachieved."
