It was a rough night for Kansas City Chiefs fans as they wrapped up a busy NFL Sunday by watching their team get stimied by the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. The Chiefs offense was unable to get anything going and had its worst offensive performance under Patrick Mahomes since 2021.
Luckily for Taylor Swift, she didn't have to sit and watch the destruction at Lumen Field.

SAN FRANCISCO — The Atlanta Dream had a seven-point lead with 8:49 to play in Game 1 of the WNBA Finals. They proceeded to score 6 points the remainder of the way, falling behind 1-0 in the best-of-seven series that resumes Monday night at Golden State.
The Dream boast three all-defense selections, headlined by Angel Reese, this season's Defensive Player of the Year. Despite coach Karl Smesko's postgame lamentations about their defensive breakdowns during the second quarter when the Valkyries scored 28 points, Atlanta was more than good enough defensively to steal homecourt in the finals. In order to head back home tied in the series, the Dream have to score the ball better. That starts with Reese.
Atlanta built an 8-point lead in the first quarter with Reese scoring 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field. She ended the game with 14 points and didn't make another field goal, attempting only two shots in the second half.

SAN FRANCISCO — After dropping Game 1 of the WNBA Finals to the No. 2 seed Golden State Valkyries, the No. 4 seed Atlanta Dream find themselves is unfamiliar territory heading into Game 2 on Monday, Oct. 19.
The Valkyries overcame a nine-point deficit to secure a 68-64 win and take a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The Valkyries' victory snapped the Dream's 10-game win streak dating back to the regular season. It was Atlanta's first loss of the postseason and first defeat since Aug. 28.
"Unfortunately, we had kind of one bad defensive quarter where we had a few breakdowns and then one bad offensive quarter in the fourth," Dream head coach Karl Smesko said. "Now we're just going to have to watch film, make some adjustments and come out as hard as we possibly can, because we obviously want to leave here winning Game 2."
The film from Game 1 shows the Dream conceding 17 points off 12 turnovers, all while shooting 33% from the field and 16% from the 3-point line. Allisha Gray finished with a team-high 19 points and six rebounds in her first game back in the lineup after a left hand injury and "minor procedure" sidelined her two playoff games. Angel Reese recorded 14 points in the first half, but was held scoreless the second half.
"I wasn't aggressive enough with the ball and trying to ... get to my spot," said Reese, who pointed to self-inflicted wounds as the difference in the game. "I think it was all things that we did."

The Biancocelesti extended their superb start to the Serie A campaign by registering their sixth win in seven rounds. Oliver Provstgaard, Gustav Isaksen, and Fisayo Dele-Bashiru all got on the scoresheet as Lazio returned from Turin with a 3-0 victory. This was certainly the team's best result of the season, especially considering the size of the opponent.
In his post-match interviews (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Gattuso expressed his delight with the team, taking great pleasure in their ability to overcome the odds after being tipped to fight for relegation by some observers at the start of the season.
We're not looking at the league table. We have to keep working hard and maintain the right mentality. I've seen a lot in this game, and we have a clear path to follow: work. When you lose a key player in the offseason, the question remains: who fills that production hole? The Boston Celtics do not seem to worry about this conundrum at all. With Jaylen Brown gone, they have filled all the gaps by committee. Hugo Gonzalez and Baylor Scheierman get to play both ends with hustle. Paul George still has that fringe NBA All-Star quality and can shoot the lights out. However, Coach Joe Mazzulla is looking at a key player. It's none other than Payton Pritchard. The Celtics head coach has all the belief in their guard and even noted specific traits that will make him helpful to the squad led by Jayson Tatum.
For a long time, a few monoliths have described Payton Pritchard. He's been seen as the Celtics' offensive spark plug, or the guy you give the ball to in the clutch. Now, he will be up for bigger roles in Coach Joe Mazzulla's system due to the Jaylen Brown trade.
There are obviously a lot of doubts about Pritchard. Much of it stems from the fact that he's an undersized guard and the running belief that he could be a defensive liability. Coach Mazzulla does not think that way at all. In fact, the Celtics head honcho outlined what made their veteran guard special. It could be argued that, after falling to 2-4 and seeing many of the grand plans of this 2026 Dallas Cowboys team sit utterly deflated following a 23-13 loss to the Packers on Sunday night in Green Bay, coach Brian Schottenheimer was in an impossible situation. What to say to your NFL team, after a devastating loss in which you were dominated on both sides of the ball, in which any progress made on the defensive side of the ball in the second half was offset first by the defense's poor play in the first half and the offense's poor play overall?
But Schottenheimer did go to the podium for his press conference on Sunday night and was asked what he said to the team.
His message: "The effort is right, the fight is right, but mistakes are killing us. Repeating mistakes is not what we're about. But we've got to protect the football. Five turnovers in two games, not very good. Got to find the running game. That starts with myself and the offensive staff. Got to get off the field on third down on defense, whether that's penalties or losing 1-on-1s. So, we got to clean it up. Lost two games in a row, not playing well. Got to take a hard look at it. Starts with me."
It is hard to say that, given the level of talent on this team–on the offensive line, in the receiver's room, at quarterback, at running back–that mistakes alone are the problem. The Cowboys did play harder and more aggressively on Sunday in Green Bay, that was obvious. But that also raises the question of where that effort and aggressiveness was in Week 5 against the Buccaneers, as well as at other times this season?

Andy Reid has reassured Kansas City Chiefs fans after wide receiver Jalen Royals was checked for concussion symptoms during the team's 22-6 victory over the Los Angeles Chargers.
The young receiver briefly left the game for ****** sment but was cleared to return, with Reid confirming there was no immediate concern about his condition.

The Dallas Cowboys managed to go out and look awful again as a team, losing to the Green Bay Packers. The worst part has been the offensive decline over the last two weeks as Dak Prescott and Company have been unable to find any kind of offensive rhythm. The overall performance certainly wasn't perfect, but the Green Bay Packers still rolled to a two-score win over the visiting Dallas Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football" from Lambeau Field in Week 6. Brian Schottenheimer's team was well-rested after playing on Thursday night in Week 5 and not lacking motivation after a humbling home defeat in primetime, but the Packers still raced out to a 17-0 lead and ended up leading the game by two scores for most of the night. Matt LaFleur's team has won three straight games and is 4-2 overall, an acceptable record given the ups and downs of the early season.
Three big things from the Packers' win over the Cowboys:
Facing Dak Prescott, Javonte Williams, CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens without Micah Parsons, Edgerrin Cooper and Javon Hargrave provided a big test for Jonathan Gannon's defense, and the group passed it with flying colors. The Cowboys managed only 13 points, of which seven came in garbage time, and Gannon continually had Prescott under pressure and making rushed and confused decisions against the blitz or the pre-snap appearance of a blitz. Prescott averaged only 4.8 yards per attempt, and the Packers got a pair of interceptions inside their own 30-yard line and a pair of fourth down stops on pass attempts in the fourth quarter. Earlier in the season, Angel Reese exclaimed that "Anything that goes up is mine," reflecting her mentality in the paint. Reese is now the WNBA's Defensive Player of the Year. Grabbing 12.1 rebounds per game in the regular season, she is far ahead of any other player in that category, and her gritty style of play has made her a solid anchor for the Atlanta Dream. Calls for Mike McDaniels' job are only getting louder.
This time, though, Jim Harbaugh wasn't as strong in his defense of his offensive coordinator.

John Harbaugh might have made a statement about ball security in the New York Giants' 34-27 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 6. Week 6 wasn't a week of huge unknown shifts, but of incremental gains on the field. Thus, we don't have a lot of clear steps forward, but players who could get there in the near future. We also have a lot of mess for Stock Down. We'll fetch Marie Kondo.
We don't know when Saquon Barkley will return from his hamstring injury. It could very well be Week 7 with an extra recovery day. But what we do know is that Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby are on injured reserve, and Pierce just played a game in which he took 61-of-64 offensive snaps. Even if Barkley comes back at full strength, there's room for Pierce to be on fantasy rosters as the stash bench back.

But I don't know that I'd believe Barkley is especially close to returning after not practicing at all last week, and even if he plays in Week 7, I bet they'll take it at least a little easy on him. Pierce's role could vary wildly depending on how Barkley's week of practice goes. But no matter how it ends up, he probably deserves to be rostered in most leagues at this point. Yes, even with the Eagles offense being run by Tanner McKee.
Leading the Jets with 103 yards and a touchdown in his first game off injured reserve, Cooper is now definitely something. He's probably at the very least deserving of a 12-team roster spot. But beyond that, I'm not entirely sure what to expect from him. Adonai Mitchell could come back at any moment, and Mitchell looked good early in the season before his finger injury sidelined him.

In Week 1, the Browns were embarrassed by the Jaguars. Former Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, quoting JuJu Smith-Schuster, declared on NBC, "The Browns is the Browns."
Since then, the Browns is 4-1.
The biggest win of the season came on Sunday, when the new Browns beat the old Browns to create a three-way tie atop the AFC North. Because the Browns have beaten both the Ravens and the Steelers, both of whom are 4-2, Cleveland is in first place.
And first-year head coach Todd Monken intends to relish it. Until tomorrow.
"I'm going to enjoy tonight," Monken told reporters after the 13-10 win. "And that's what you have to do in the NFL. These are the nights that you don't ever want to end, because tomorrow it's on to the next game. And so, I sit there, I know it sounds really goofy, but you sit there in bed and you don't want the night to end. It's 10:30 and you're tired as **** and you want to be up another 15, 20, 30 minutes to enjoy it, because, **** , tomorrow I've got to look at the offensive tape and then you've got to move on to the next game."

Week 6 in the NFL has come and gone, and what a week it was! We saw some wild games across the league, with plenty of scoring, overtime, upsets- you name it! But what were the biggest fantasy football storylines to come from all that?
Caleb Williams is back! And back in a big way for the Bears, going 305/1/0 on 30 of 36 passes, in a win over the Atlanta Falcons. It also appears that Williams has reinvigorated the fantasy potential of Luther Burden and Colston Loveland, who were both off to mixed starts this season. It's also somewhat good to see that their defense is still terrible, which will only further boost Williams' production. They'll be forced into higher-scoring games, which is great for fantasy production.
So many of us want to believe that Kyle Pitts will be an elite tight end, but the lack of consistent production makes it tough to put him in our lineups every week. He's looked good over the last two weeks, but that's been bolstered by some touchdowns. Drake London still leads the team in target share, but if Michael Penix is willing to look to Pitts in the red zone, the touchdown upside will be there for him. I continue to think that Pitts is a low-end TE1 on most weeks, given the overall offensive potential of the Falcons.
While it was only his second game this season, Omar Cooper Jr. looked great for the Jets. A big 103 yards on 6 receptions and one touchdown pushed him to the top of the box score against the Patriots. It's also nice to see him do this while Garrett Wilson was also playing for the Jets. However, the question becomes: is this sustainable? Once Breece Hall gets back to the Jets offense, their overall dynamic might change, but Cooper Jr. has a role right now.
Is Noel the key to the Texans offense? The run game certainly isn't great; we know how good Nico Collins is, but they are missing another element, and Noel is shaping up to be that answer. Coming into this week, he led the Texans with 17.5 yards per reception and 13.35 yards per target. He brought this into the matchup versus the Jaguars and ended with 4/107/1, which is certainly his ceiling outcome, but this is the third straight week he's had either 80-plus receiving yards or a touchdown.
