WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has agreed to a significant portion of a stringent ethics proposal that is part of broader cryptocurrency legislation headed for a key vote this week, according to three of the bill's main Republican authors.
The sweeping bill initially had just a provision included that would bar all federally elected officials and their spouses, as well as federal judges, from issuing digital ***** ets.
A core group of Democrats, as well as Sen. Thom Tillis, R-N.C., said that didn't go far enough to address conflict-of-interest issues they had with Trump's crypto wealth. Their votes would be needed to advance the bill in a key vote this Tuesday.
Tillis and Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz., along with several other Democrats, had demanded language that would allow state attorneys general to step in and enforce the law in addition to the Justice Department.
In announcing Trump's agreement, Republican Sens. Cynthia Lummis of Wyoming, Tim Scott of South Carolina and John Boozman of Arkansas said it includes a "meaningful role" for state attorneys general to play in enforcing the crypto measure should it become law.

Calls to repeal women's rights to vote are emerging from the online firestorm over the Lindsay Clancy trial, prompting Republican women to warn that the intraparty rhetoric could hurt the GOP.
"I think there's definitely a threat in the Republican Party right now," political and legal strategist Mehek Cooke told Fox News Digital.
The online calls to repeal the 19th Amendment come after Clancy's high-profile murder trial ended in a mistrial, with 11 of the 12 jurors favoring a verdict of not guilty by reason of insanity. Clancy admitted to killing her three children, but her defense argued she was not criminally responsible because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT) is expanding its restaurant-delivery business through a partnership with Papa John's, allowing customers in select U.S. markets to order pizzas, sides, and desserts through Walmart's app and website. The service is expected to launch this fall before expanding to thousands of participating Papa John's locations nationwide. Customers will be able to order restaurant food either separately or alongside Walmart groceries and household products, with Walmart's delivery network handling fulfillment.
The move builds on Walmart's broader push into fast delivery. The company recently reported that U.S. e-commerce sales increased 24% in its latest quarter, while fast-delivery services for groceries and general merchandise grew 48%. Walmart also said 30-minute-or-less delivery was available in 38 U.S. markets, highlighting the infrastructure it can potentially leverage for restaurant orders.
The Papa John's partnership could strengthen Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT)'s position as a broader consumer-delivery platform rather than simply a retailer. Adding restaurant meals gives shoppers another reason to open Walmart's app, while the ability to combine a pizza order with groceries and household products creates an opportunity to increase basket sizes and order frequency. This is particularly attractive because Walmart already has a large store network that increasingly functions as a last-mile fulfillment system; roughly 80% of its e-commerce orders are fulfilled from stores.
The deal could also improve the economics of Walmart's existing delivery infrastructure. Instead of building a completely separate restaurant-delivery network, Walmart can utilize its established fulfillment capabilities and Spark driver network to serve incremental demand. The Papa John's relationship also expands Walmart's restaurant offering beyond earlier partnerships, helping the company build a more comprehensive alternative to dedicated delivery platforms such as DoorDash and Uber Eats.
More importantly, restaurant delivery could become another engagement tool for Walmart Inc. (NASDAQ:WMT)'s increasingly digital customer base. With e-commerce approaching a quarter of Walmart's overall sales and growing substantially faster than traditional store sales, initiatives that increase digital traffic could support Walmart's broader ecosystem of e-commerce, memberships and advertising.

Coinbase (NASDAQ: COIN), one of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchanges, recently partnered with Moov, a payments infrastructure provider, to bring stablecoin payments and settlements to more than 1,000 U.S. community banks and credit unions. By integrating Coinbase's digital ******* et infrastructure into Moov's payments platform, the two companies will enable those financial institutions to accept stablecoins without building their own blockchains.
Let's see how this partnership could help Coinbase, why everyone is talking about stablecoins right now, and how the upcoming vote on the CLARITY Act could impact those plans.

Stablecoins are cryptocurrencies pegged to a stable fiat currency, such as the U.S. dollar or the euro, and can be held without a bank account. Their payments can be settled 24/7, enabling faster, cheaper money transfers than fiat currencies. They can be deposited in third-party lending platforms and liquidity pools to earn higher yields than traditional bank accounts.
Stablecoins can also allow people in countries with hyperinflation to preserve their savings without buying the underlying fiat currencies. They can also be used to accelerate cross-border transfers by acting as a "bridge currency" between the two fiat currencies.

The fashion-forward influencer was honored with the Virgil Abloh Award at Harlem's Fashion Row's 19th Annual Awards Show.
If you've been deep in Black fashion over the past few years, you've likely seen Wisdom Kaye.
The Nigerian-American model has essentially redefined digital fashion, taking on requests from fans to essentially style everything from flags to even piecing together outfits based on a set financial amount. In sum, the Houston native emerged as one of the more daring men on social media, amassing more than two million TikTok followers in 2020 alone and curating various looks from whatever inspires him for more than nine million followers on Instagram.
That hard work was rewarded during New York Fashion Week as Kaye was presented with the Virgil Abloh Award at Harlem's Fashion Row's 19th Annual Awards Show.
"I never thought that with an iPhone and the corner of my room that I would inspire people all over the world," Kaye said. "I never thought that my ideas were really that great… I'm incredibly fortunate."

Fundstrat's Tom Lee took the Future Proof Citywide stage earlier this year with CNBC's Scott Wapner for a session that landed in the middle of a jittery tape that included geopolitical conflict, oil spiking, private credit cracking, and fresh doubts about AI spending. Not too far off where we find ourselves currently, but with an awful lot of volatility and shifting, uncertain outlooks between these six months. While their conversation was a snapshot in time, you can expect more of this kind of sharp, thoughtful ****** ysis next week.
The contrarian take of the session was oil. High crude, Lee argued, is actually constructive for U.S. equities. With the U.S. as a net exporter, our economic competitors are importers, and stalled global growth pushes investors toward growth stocks, which is about 80% of the U.S. market. On AI CapEx, he pushed back on the sticker shock, claiming roughly $700 billion a year is a fraction of the $60 trillion global labor market and small change against daily moves in gold.
Lee also made the case that software had bottomed at the time, that enterprises building their own tools inherit the maintenance burden software companies exist to carry, and that private credit is genuinely bad but not a GFC repeat, with the real fix being taking private companies public rather than pushing private product into retail portfolios. On crypto, his argument shifted from a perspective of digital gold to one of plumbing whereby Wall Street tokenizes ****** ets, and AI agents needing a settlement rail that handles fractions of a penny.
His parting advice was the oldest one in the book, dressed in new clothes: miss the 10 best days of each year and a 16% average return goes to roughly nothing. Danger and opportunity show up together. Staying invested is the perpetual drumbeat of advisors to their clients, but one that needs banging louder when markets feel much less certain.
Future Proof Festival is September 14–17 in Huntington Beach and includes four days on the boardwalk with advisors, ****** et managers, and fintechs building the modern wealth management industry. Find us at the ETF Oasis and don't miss the stellar agenda we've got lined up.

Investors seeking exposure to artificial intelligence infrastructure must weigh the explosive growth of Astera Labs Inc (NASDAQ:ALAB) against the established scale and diverse portfolio of Marvell Technology Inc(NASDAQ:MRVL) to determine the better buy.
Both companies focus on the plumbing of the digital world, ensuring data moves quickly between processors and memory. While Astera Labs focuses on specialized connectivity for AI racks, Marvell offers a broader range of networking, storage, and custom compute solutions. This comparison explores which strategy offers more potential for long-term investors.
Astera Labs designs connectivity solutions that integrate various protocols to support rack-scale AI infrastructure, a high-growth niche among semiconductor stocks. The company serves major hyperscalers and equipment manufacturers who need to overcome data bottlenecks in massive data centers, though its revenue is highly concentrated. In 2025, one end customer -- Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN) -- accounted for over 70% of revenue, which adds a significant layer of risk to the business model.
According to its latest annual report, filed for the fiscal year ended Dec. 31, 2025, revenue reached close to $853 million, representing a significant jump of 115% compared with the prior fiscal year. This growth trajectory helped the company transition to a net income of just over $219 million after recording losses in the previous two years. The net margin for the latest year was close to 26%.
As of its December 2025 balance sheet, the debt-to-equity ratio was 0.0x, meaning the company carries no debt relative to its shareholder equity, while the so-called current ratio was 10.2x. Free cash flow for the period reached nearly $282 million. Note that stock-based compensation (SBC) represented roughly 50.1% of operating cash flow, which inflates reported cash generation since SBC is a non-cash expense added back in the cash flow statement.

Bitcoin (CRYPTO: $BTC) and other cryptocurrencies were down to end the trading week on Sept. 11 as the odds of an interest rate hike in the U.S. continued to rise. Futures markets now see a greater than 70% chance that the U.S. Federal Reserve raises interest rates by 25-basis points at its meeting on Sept. 16.
Markets ratcheted up their expectations for higher interest rates following a hot U.S. inflation report for August, and as crude oil hovers near $100 U.S. a barrel for the first time since May of this year. Higher interest rates are negative for risk **** ets such as crypto. As a result, Bitcoin was trading at $77,500 U.S. at week's end, down from a recent high of $82,000 U.S.
Other digital **** ets were also under pressure, with Ethereum's (CRYPTO: $ETH) price right around $2,500 U.S. Despite the pullback, crypto prices remain sharply higher than where they were a month ago, when Bitcoin was trading below $65,000 U.S. BTC peaked at an all-time high of $126,198.07 U.S. on Oct. 6 of last year.

Block, Inc. (NYSE:XYZ) is taking another step toward consolidating its digital **** et operations under a federal regulatory framework. On September 8, it filed an application with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to charter Builders Bank & Trust, N.A.
If chartered, the Builders Bank & Trust could become an important part of Block's digital **** et custody infrastructure, giving the company a federally supervised framework for custody and related services involving bitcoin and stablecoins.
Builders Bank & Trust would be an uninsured national trust bank, meaning it would not accept deposits or make traditional loans. Instead, its focus would be on fiduciary and custody services, allowing Block to build specialized infrastructure for safeguarding digital **** ets.
The structure could be particularly valuable as Block, Inc. (NYSE:XYZ) seeks to expand its institutional customer base. A federally supervised custody operation could give larger financial institutions greater confidence in Block's ability to safeguard Bitcoin and other digital **** ets.
Stablecoins represent a potentially important opportunity for Block, particularly through its Cash App ecosystem. A regulated custody infrastructure could eventually support broader stablecoin-related products and payments if Block chooses to expand further in this area.

Your replacement for Saturday morning cartoons or that warm cup of coffee has arrived. Or you can just enjoy those things on top of what I'm about to bring to your digital doorstep.
Yes, it's Madden Sim season again.
For the uninitiated, every Saturday morning before a Sunday Detroit Lions game, I'll hop on our YouTube and Twitch channels and fire up a game of Madden 27. I will do my best to adjust the roster as closely as they will be during the actual game, but then I let the computer take over the rest. I do not grab the sticks, I do not call the plays or take over for a specific player. I let the game simulate the result completely, all while providing my own live commentary.
It's also an opportunity for live viewers to do a Q&A. I like to answer any questions you may have about the upcoming game, the Lions' season, or anything else that's on your mind.

Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:DLR) announced the opening of its 6.4-megawatt NBO2 data center in Nairobi on September 7, expanding the campus alongside NBO1. The opening coincides with subsidiary iColo's transition to the parent's brand in Kenya and Mozambique.
The attraction extends beyond additional server ****** e. Customers can access the campus's community of more than 100 networks, two internet exchanges and a satellite teleport, which connects terrestrial networks with satellite services. These are connectivity options, not a disclosure of NBO2's leased capacity or customer count.
For Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:DLR), the opportunity is to turn that concentration of networks into recurring customer relationships. The opening announcement did not disclose development cost, pre-leasing, occupancy, or expected revenue, leaving the financial payoff unresolved.
Interconnection can give customers a reason to choose a facility beyond price. Physical connections between customers and network providers can reduce latency and support more reliable data exchange. For businesses serving several markets, having carriers and partners close together can simplify how traffic moves between them.
That creates a potential network effect for Digital Realty Trust, Inc. (NYSE:DLR). More useful connections can attract additional customers, making the location more valuable to others. Once customers build several connections into their operations, relocating can become more disruptive. The resulting retention advantage could support recurring revenue, although it remains an investment thesis rather than a demonstrated NBO2 result.

But first, what's optoelectronics?
Computers speak in electrons. Fiber in fiber optic cable speaks photons. Connect the two and that's optoelectronics.
Lasers provide the light and modulators encode digital information to be transmitted:
Optoelectronics technology is efficient and solving a data transmission problem that's been an AI bottleneck recently.
Recent pullbacks in two great optoelectronics companies have provided potentially attractive opportunities. The first company is Ciena (CIEN), a $50 billion market capitalization firm that makes high-speed optical network equipment.

Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas — who lost the Lone Star State GOP attorney general primary runoff in May and will depart the U.S. House of Representatives when his current term expires — said Republicans have "delivered significantly" but "need to finish the job."
"Well, we've done so much that frankly, it kinda gets lost in a lot of the noise," Roy told Fox News Digital during an interview on Wednesday, pointing to issues such as tax provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act signed by President Donald Trump last year.
The Texan pointed to the nation's border as the "biggest example" of Republicans' achievements, saying that "we've literally shut down the flow across the border" through enforcing the law.
He also pointed to the passage of the "Laken Riley Act," a measure named after the 22-year-old woman murdered in 2024 by Jose Ibarra, a man who, according to a 2024 statement by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), had previously been "arrested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)" after illegally entering the U.S., but was "paroled and released for further processing."
Roy said Republicans "need to unite with a singular vision about where we wanna take the country if we wanna be... rewarded in November... and then frankly looking ahead to 2028."

FIRST ON FOX: Roy Cooper, the former North Carolina governor and a Democratic candidate for the Senate, believes his party should incorporate a big-tent approach to an emerging wave of socialist candidates backed by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA).
When asked if he would sign the Promise to America, a repudiation of socialist stances put out by moderate Democrats, Cooper said he wouldn't.
"I don't see any need to," Cooper said in video footage obtained by Fox News Digital.
"I think the party needs a wide spectrum, particularly at a time when the Republican Party is shrinking and having all kinds of loyalty tests. I think we need to have all kinds of folks to be a part of our party."

Management attributes the sequential improvement in comparable sales to enhanced digital conversion and the successful scaling of private brand franchises like THERMACHILL.
The company is navigating a structural shift in customer behavior driven by GLP-1 medication adoption, which has led to temporary pauses in apparel purchasing during weight loss journeys.
Performance was significantly bolstered by a $4.6 million IEEPA tariff refund, which masked a 70 basis point decline in underlying merchandise margins caused by higher markdowns and shipping surcharges.
Strategic focus has shifted toward 'Fit Authority' through the FITMAP initiative, which has scanned 150,000 customers and resulted in higher average order values and lower return rates.

Chinese e-commerce giants such as Shein and Temu have reshaped the retail landscape amid economic uncertainty, higher prices, and cautious consumer spending by offering shoppers a wide range of products at extremely low prices.
Their growth has prompted established companies such as Amazon, Target, and Walmart to invest in strategies like third-party marketplaces, supply chain infrastructure, and digital tools to keep pace with changing consumer habits.
Now, one online-first fashion retailer is taking a different approach. While many established brands have been reassessing their physical footprints and closing underperforming stores, this e-commerce fashion company is moving in the opposite direction by expanding its brick-and-mortar presence in the U.S.
Founded in 2020 as an online-first womenswear brand, Cider has built its business around affordable, trend-driven fashion and a digital-focused shopping experience.

Crypto advocates and community bankers are taking their fight over the Clarity Act to senators' home states ahead of a key vote next week.
The Senate is scheduled to hold a procedural vote on the Clarity Act on September 15. The legislation would establish federal rules for digital ******* ets and divide oversight between the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
According to a report by Reuters, during the August recess, both sides targeted senators with meetings, local events, op-eds, calls, emails, and advertising.

In Georgia, chapter president Tia Williams met with staff for Democratic Senator Raphael Warnock, who voted against advancing the bill out of the Senate Banking Committee.
Crypto groups have already spent at least $190 million ahead of the November midterm elections.

Iran is increasingly using cryptocurrencies to settle cross-border trade as the country faces intensifying U.S. sanctions and a naval blockade, the Financial Times reported on Sep. 8.
A cryptocurrency is a digital currency that runs on a blockchain, a shared public ledger, allowing money to move across borders without passing through the traditional banking system.
The country's central bank has in recent months quietly eased its strict foreign currency controls, encouraging businesses to bring funds back into the country through whatever channels are available, including crypto exchanges that handle Tether's USDT and Bitcoin (BTC), citing regime insiders, business executives and **** ysts, the report said.
Tether's USDT is a stablecoin, a type of cryptocurrency designed to hold a steady value against the U.S. dollar, making it useful for trade settlements.
Bitcoin is the world's first and largest decentralized cryptocurrency which has seen a wild appreciation in its value since its launch in 2009.

A cryptocurrency ETF is an exchange-traded fund that gives investors exposure to cryptocurrency through a regular brokerage account with no crypto wallet, exchange, or private keys required. The most important type is the spot ETF, which holds the actual cryptocurrency (Bitcoin, Ether, etc.) in secure custody, so the fund's price tracks the real-time price of the coin. When you buy a share, you're getting direct exposure to the underlying **** et, wrapped in the familiar, regulated ETF structure. One technical note: U.S. spot crypto funds are structured as exchange-traded products — grantor trusts registered under the Securities Act of 1933 — rather than as 1940 Act ETFs, so they trade just like ETFs but do not carry all of the same investor protections.
This is a big deal because it removes the biggest barriers to crypto investing: custody risk, exchange hacks, and technical complexity. It also brings crypto into tax-advantaged accounts and lets investors hold it alongside their stocks and bonds in one place.
Spot Bitcoin ETFs launched in the U.S. in January 2024 and have become the fastest-growing ETF category ever. In 2026 they dominate the crypto ETF landscape.
IBIT (iShares Bitcoin Trust) was one of the first to market and is the runaway leader, with roughly $71 billion in **** ets — well over half of the entire spot Bitcoin ETF market. BlackRock's fund has become the default vehicle for institutional and retail Bitcoin exposure alike, prized for its deep liquidity and low cost. FBTC (Fidelity Wise Origin Bitcoin Fund) is second with about $18 billion, and GBTC (Grayscale Bitcoin Trust), the converted legacy fund, holds around $15 billion despite its higher fee. For most investors seeking Bitcoin exposure, IBIT and FBTC are the go-to, low-cost choices.
Spot Ethereum ETFs followed in July 2024 and form the second pillar of the crypto ETF world. ETHA (iShares Ethereum Trust) leads with roughly $11 billion in **** ets, followed by FETH (Fidelity Ethereum Fund) at about $2.3 billion. Ethereum offers a different investment thesis than Bitcoin as it's the backbone of decentralized applications, smart contracts, and much of the tokenization trend. This means ether ETFs give investors exposure to a distinct part of the digital-asset ecosystem.
