Please accept my apologies, hoddlers. But I have to do a second running hoddle this week.
And this is also my third post this summer on running water bottles. It's hot out there, and I bought the Nathan 14oz handheld soft flask to keep me hydrated and fresh on all my runs. I was excited to have something that would get lighter the more I would drink out of it.
After a couple months of running with this bottle, I would like to offer my review. The short answer is: I HATE IT! I HATE THIS WATER BOTTLE. I HATE LOOKING AT IT. I HATE DRINKING OUT OF IT.
Now, please see the reasons below for why I hate this stupid thing.
Sweat: The bottle claims to be moisture wicking, but the sweat actually clings to the fabric that wraps around the bottle itself. Firstly, the fabric makes your hand warmer than it should be. But the sweat becomes a serious problem because you should be washing the outer part after every single use (and by this I mean throwing it in the washing machine). Who has time to run the washing machine every single use for a bottle? You can go a run or two without doing this, but then you have to breath in the stench while you drink out of it.

Next, Ash asked him to picture a character from the Moana world. Johnson settled on Te Kā, the lava demon, and spelled it out mentally. Ash named it.

Australian Vintage has struck a distribution partnership with Australian ready-to-drink brand Fellr.
The owner of McGuigan and Tempus Two wines said it will manage efforts to sell Fellr across all Australian states and territories, "strengthening its own beverage portfolio while positioning Fellr for broader expansion".
The deal will see Australian Vintage handle Fellr's existing range of 4% abv RTDs and ****** ist its move into vodka-based RTDs and full bottled spirits.
Australian Vintage chief commercial officer Aaron Lohrey said there was "significant potential" to build on Fellr's "success through our sales and distribution capabilities".

Former England Test captain Ben Stokes has dismissed suggestions that England alone has a drinking problem, arguing that alcohol has long been embedded in cricket's culture across all levels of the sport.
Speaking on the For The Love of Cricket podcast with former teammates Stuart Broad and Jos **** ler, the 35-year-old reflected on cricket's long-standing relationship with alcohol just weeks after announcing his retirement from international cricket.
During the discussion, Broad put forward a question many fans have been asking in recent years: Does England cricket have a drinking problem? Stokes disagreed with the premise, insisting the issue extends far beyond one national team.
"No, I mean, that's such an extreme thing to put on a team. I think cricket has just a drinking culture and it hasn't changed. We are in 2026 now where the game has gone more professional over the years. One thing that has just stayed within cricket is its relationship with alcohol, from club cricket all the way up," Ben Stokes said.
Stokes added that despite major advances in nutrition, medical support and athlete preparation, cricket's traditional **** ociation with alcohol continues to exist.
"It's been embedded within the sport. The relationship between alcohol and cricket is something that hasn't moved on as the game has become more professional. There's been more science, medicine and nutrition information. So people think England cricket has a culture with alcohol, but I would say no, cricket has a culture **** ociated with alcohol, " he added.
Stokes' remarks come against the backdrop of a recent disciplinary incident that saw him suspended for one Test after breaching team curfew during England's series against New Zealand.

Although an investigation later cleared both players of further wrongdoing and they returned for the third Test, the incident prompted the ECB to introduce stricter alcohol guidelines for England players.

The company's 2-for-1 split, announced July 8, hands each shareholder of record as of July 24 one additional share for every share held. The disclosure comes about three weeks after he apparently injured the ACL and meniscus in his right knee during his comeback fight July 11 at UFC 329 in Las Vegas.

Polish open-water swimmer Bartlomiej Kubkowski has swum across the Baltic Sea from Sweden to Poland. The 160-kilometre journey took him 55 hours.
The 31-year-old started his swim from Kåseberga in Sweden on Friday. On Sunday evening, he staggered ashore, completely exhausted, in Dziwnow, Poland, east of Świnoujście, according to footage that his team took to document the swim.
In between lay more than two days and two nights, during which Kubkowski battled against waves, wind and the cold. He did not touch the support boat, did not go ashore anywhere nor did he rest.
The swimmer, nicknamed 'Robbe', was fed food and drink on skewers by his support team. During the second night, Kubkowski suffered from hallucinations at times, as his team reported on Instagram. Yet, cheered on by his fans, he made it to the finish line.
The extreme crossing, known as the Ultra Baltic Swim, was for a good cause with Kubkowski raising funds for the Cancer Fighter Foundation.

In the wee hours of the morning, the Mets reportedly completed a trade sending right-handed reliever Huascar Brazobán to the Chicago White Sox for a pair of minor league pitchers, Gabe Davis and Zach Franklin.
Brazobán's path to the majors was not a traditional one, as he was drafted in 2011 and toiled in the minor leagues for nine years, with a four year detour to the International League, before finally making the bigs in 2023 as a member of the Miami Marlins. As part of their trade deadline in 2024, the Mets sent Wilfredo Lara to the Fish for Brazobán's services. Although 2024 was not a great season for Brazobán, 2025 and 2026 have both been highly effective. 2026 has been easily his best year in professional baseball thus far, putting up a 162 ERA+, a 2.56 ERA, and a 2.13 K/BB ratio.
The knock on Brazobán, and the likely reason the Mets moved a reliever with three years of team control, is his age. Brazobán is entering his age 37 season in 2027, and with reliever volatility and the general aging curve of baseball, each subsequent season from now on seemed to be more of a roll of a the dice than usual.
The return includes Gabe Davis, Chicago's fifth round draft pick in 2025, currently ranked as the White Sox 18th best prospect via MLB Pipeline and 20th per Baseball America. Davis is a tall (6'9") drink of water who couldn't harness his raw stuff at Oklahoma State. Davis dominated High-A ball in eight starts, but struggled since his Double-A call up. Former NFL quarterback Tony Romo has been put on leave by CBS Sports after he was arrested and cited last week for drunk driving in Wisconsin.
Shortly after news broke of his July 23 arrest in Milwaukee, police released body cam footage showing Romo's interactions with cops.
During the traffic stop, Romo claimed he hadn't been drinking at all and was even willing to take a field sobriety test.
Throughout the exchange, Romo repeatedly said he wanted to get in contact with his lawyer.
Moments later, an officer could heard saying she smelled alcohol in the vehicle and observed multiple unopened bottles inside.

A major scientific review is challenging the idea that more protein is always better.
The review, led by pathologist and biomedical researcher Dudley Lamming and published in the journal Cell Press Blue, examined more than 350 studies involving humans, mice, insects, yeast, and other organisms.
The review found that eating less protein, or less of certain amino acids that make up protein, may turn on body processes linked to healthier aging, as well as metabolism, the process by which the body turns food and drinks into energy.

Mark is a professional development coach at Premier League club Hull City. His brother Matt was a revered women's football coach synonymous with Liverpool, where he won back-to-back Women's Super League ***** les in 2013 and 2014 before returning to guide them back into the top flight in 2022. He also led West Ham Women to an unlikely FA Cup final, was twice voted WSL manager of the season and was posthumously inducted into the league's Hall of Fame this year.
Matt died at the age of 47 last September. The inquest into his death is not concluded, but a coroner's court was told that he took his own life.

128-year-old beer, wine, and spirits distributor, Republic National Distributing Company, was a major company affected as it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, seeking going-concern sales of its remaining ***** ets, a wind down of operations, completion of transition services agreements, and approval of its equity holder settlement.
National Distributing Company Inc. is not a part of the Chapter 11 filing, the company said in a statement on its website.
A company spokesperson was not immediately available for comment.
Republic National Distributing Company filed its petition as its business's financial position deteriorated after the Covid-19 pandemic subsided in late 2022 and demand for off-premises alcohol consumption plummeted.

We have just reached half-time in Real Madrid's second pre-season match against Leganés. Joe Root is set to return as England's Test captain, with his second spell in charge likely to continue through next summer's home Ashes series against Australia, The Athletic reported on Friday.
England's search for a new Test captain following Ben Stokes' retirement from international cricket now appears set to end with Root returning to the role.
The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is expected to announce Root as captain for the three-Test series against Pakistan, starting on August 19, with the appointment likely to extend into next year's Ashes, The Athletic report said.
The move would allow Harry Brook, Stokes' deputy in Tests, to continue as England's white-ball captain ahead of next year's 50-over World Cup, and continue working with the T20 and one-day international coach, Brendon McCullum.
England are still searching for a new Test coach after parting ways with McCullum in the red-ball format. Aa per The Athletic report, ****** istant coach Marcus Trescothick is increasingly expected to take charge on an interim basis for the Pakistan series.
The ECB has faced a difficult month after the end of England's first Test ****** ignment of the summer against New Zealand, which left the team looking for both a new captain and a new Test coach.
Stokes announced his retirement during the third Test of the series, which England lost 2-1. Soon after, the ECB also decided to replace McCullum after four years as Test coach.
Root had already stepped in as captain for the second Test against New Zealand after Stokes was suspended following the late-night drinking session in Chelsea after the first Test, an incident that led to further problems for English cricket.
That experience appears to have convinced the ECB that Root remains its best option for the role.
The only uncertainty was whether Root, England's highest Test run-scorer, wanted to return to captaincy after saying he was done with the job when his first spell ended in 2022. He had stepped down after England managed only one win in 17 Tests.
Now Root, who is currently playing for Welsh Fire in The Hundred, is set to lead England again, beginning with the Pakistan series, as the team looks to recover from a difficult year.
England started 2026 with a 4-1 Ashes defeat in Australia and then suffered its first major home series loss since 2012 against New Zealand.

Jürgen Klopp has signed a deal until 2030 to become Germany coach and told a news conference on Friday he was "delighted" - but warned the press he would quit if they "misbehave."
The former Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool boss was the DFB's immediate first choice to succeed Julian Nagelsmann, who resigned following the World Cup last-32 exit to Paraguay in June.
Klopp has been global head of soccer at the sports arm of drinks maker Red Bull but will now lead Germany into the Nations League, qualifying for Euro 2028 in the British Isles and qualifiers for the 2030 World Cup. His contract will begin on August 15.
"It is a big honour to sit here," Klopp said in Frankfurt. "I had an idea how big the job is but when you are involved, you feel the responsibility even more. It is a very special day for me."
His first match in charge will be against the Netherlands in Amsterdam on September 24 in Germany's opening Nations League fixture.
