Prince William has said giving Sir Kevin Sinfield his knighthood, is "probably one of the easiest decisions anyone's ever had to make".
The future King has appeared in an exclusive interview with BBC Breakfast to share his personal admiration for Sir Kevin, who recently completed seven ultra marathons in seven days.
Sir Kevin took part in the extreme endurance challenge to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) charities following the death of his best friend and former rugby team-mate, Rob Burrow from the condition in 2024.
"I think frankly he should have been Sir Kevin years ago," said Prince William.
"What Kevin does, is he can bind and glue communities together by being that leader. The more Kevs we have in this country the better."

In an episode of the Frankly Hockey podcast featuring NHL ****** ysts John Buccigross and Frank Seravalli published on Friday, Oct. 16, Buccigross said he had information that indicated the Red Wings will soon be making a blockbuster deal.
"I think there's going to be a trade within seven to 10 days in Detroit," he said.
Seravalli then asked Buccigross to confirm that he was talking about disgruntled star Dylan Larkin, to which Buccigross said yes, "that's coming."
Larkin's trade request became public knowledge on June 4, with the native Michigander having played a big role on the Red Wings since his rookie season in 2015-16. About a month after the news broke, the Red Wings parted ways with longtime general manager Steve Yzerman and named Shawn Horcoff the interim GM on Sept. 15.

President Trump was photographed this week on board Air Force One examining a large poster with the words "Kennedy Center DEMOLISHED" printed above a rendering of a construction site, heightening concerns that his administration wants to raze Washington, D.C.'s iconic performing arts venue if his name is not added to its facade.

WASHINGTON, Sept 17 (Reuters) - A federal judge ordered President Donald Trump's administration on Thursday to provide at least 30 days' notice before taking any steps to demolish the Kennedy Center, the landmark performing arts venue ‌that has become a flashpoint in his efforts to reshape the U.S. capital.
U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper issued the order after ‌lawyers for a Democratic congresswoman who is suing to keep the venue open and Trump's name off its facade submitted new evidence citing the Republican president's comments on Wednesday referring to demolishing the Kennedy Center.
"I think that the Trump administration should certainly have recognition. Because frankly, if we don't do that, it's going to close. It'll end up being ripped down," Trump told reporters in North Carolina, referring to putting his name on the facility established by Congress and opened in 1971 as a memorial to slain President John Kennedy.
Matt Floca, the Kennedy Center's Trump-backed executive director, said in a court filing earlier on Thursday that ‌the building was being temporarily closed to ****** s safety ⁠risks in areas "exhibiting severe structural deterioration."

Browns' head coach Todd Monken channeled his inner Dan Hurley in today's postgame press conference. After the Browns were thoroughly beaten and flat-out embarrassed by the Jacksonville Jaguars, Monken sent out a warning to the rest of the league.
In his opening statement, Monken said, "You better get us now," in reference to the Browns potentially not having much skill on their roster this year. Now, I am usually all for a coach having confidence and, more importantly, being vocal about it, but this may not have been the time or place for this.
The Browns were zero percent competitive on Sunday.
They showed a little bit of life for four plays on offense before they were totally incompetent on that side of the football, only to be coupled with a horrific performance on defense to boot.
If that game today were played 100 times, the Jaguars would win 99 of them, and that's simply thanks to the law of averages. The Browns were horrible today, and frankly, there is not all that much to be optimistic about going forward.

Wide receiver Hollywood Brown was active for Sunday's game, but the veteran never got on the field during the Eagles' 24-22 win over the Commanders.
DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks started for the Eagles with first-round pick Makai Lemon and Darius Cooper also seeing time on offense. At a Monday press conference, head coach Nick Sirianni was asked about how Brown fits into the team's plans.

"We obviously want to get him into the football game because his speed is real. It just didn't work out that way yesterday. There are games like that. The Eagles' offense looked like a work in progress for considerable portions of Sunday's game, which was their first with offensive coordinator Sean Mannion. Quarterback Jalen Hurts engineered enough big plays to overcome the rough spots and we'll see if Brown fits into the Week 2 plan to create more of them.

"Well, we've done so much that frankly, it kinda gets lost in a lot of the noise," Roy told Fox News Digital during an interview on Wednesday, pointing to issues such as tax provisions in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act signed by President Donald Trump last year.

Generally, expectations for a player fresh off ACL surgery are pretty low, but Mahomes continues to prove that he is no ordinary human. If there is one thing we've learned about the two-time MVP, it's that he plays with a chip on his shoulder. Expect another superhuman season from Mahomes, which will start with a marvelous performance against Denver in primetime.

Marcus Rashford looked set for a permanent move to Barcelona. The outline was there, the numbers were manageable and his loan spell had gone well. Then Barcelona walked away and spent £69m on Anthony Gordon instead. That tells you everything about what they think they need.
Rashford, now 28, had done his part. After leaving Manchester United on loan following his breakdown in relationship with Ruben Amorim, he delivered 14 goals and 14 **** ists in Catalonia. That is solid production by any measure. He also forced his way back into Thomas Tuchel's England plans for the World Cup and capped his season by scoring in the win over Real Madrid that sealed La Liga.
Ordinarily, that would be enough to trigger a £26m purchase option. Barcelona decided otherwise.
The explanation from sporting director Deco was direct and, frankly, sensible. Barcelona were grateful for Rashford's contribution, but they wanted a different profile. In his words for RAC1, "We are extremely grateful to Rashford. He contributed a lot last season, but our idea of play is much more linked to Anthony.

While there's a chance, it's growing more slim to play October baseball and frankly, their playoff chances are not completely in their own hands. The New York Jets have made their quarterback hierarchy clear.
Geno Smith is the starter, rookie Cade Klubnik is the backup. Evaluations could continue as we navigate the NFL's regular season.
New York head coach Aaron Glenn confirmed as much after the Jets unveiled their initial 53-man roster, ending any lingering questions about where the rookie fourth-round QB stood heading into Week 1. That doesn't mean questions about Klubnik's future have disappeared.
In ESPN's 2026 rookie guide, insider Dan Graziano identified a scenario in which the former Clemson quarterback could eventually find himself in the starting lineup.
The formula wasn't particularly complicated. Frankly, it was pretty straightforward, a theory most who are paying attention would agree with.

Just seven days from now, the 2026 NFL season will officially begin for our Minnesota Vikings, as they will host the Green Bay Packers at U.S. Bank Stadium. That means the offseason is officially over, and we asked you as part of our SB Nation Reacts survey for this week exactly what you thought about it. We have those results, and for the most part it appears that folks were relatively happy with how things went.
Of those who took the time to respond to our survey, 45% gave the offseason a "B" grade, which is pretty good. Combine that with the 7% that graded it as an "A," and over half of our respondents think that the purple had a better-than-average offseason overall. Another 34% thought that the moves the team made merited a "C" grade, which is an average mark. So, the overwhelming majority of you seem to think that the offseason in Minnesota wasn't anything approaching a disaster or anything like that.
Still, a few of the people who responded were more on the "gloom and doom" end of the spectrum. There were 11% of the people who responded to the poll that gave the Vikings a "D" for their offseason moves, while the remaining 3% went as negative as possible and slapped a big ol' "F" on what the Vikings have done since the 2025 season came to an end. That seems a little harsh, but everyone is free to have their own perspective on things.
Frankly, I think a "B" is just about right. I think the Vikings addressed a lot of the things they needed to address. Hopefully the quarterback issue is solved, and if it is this team has a lot of potential to do some damage in 2026. The defense should continue to be a menace as long as there aren't too many injuries. Will it be enough to make a run in what should still be the most competitive division in the NFL? We'll have to see.

Western Michigan isn't blaming Big Ten officials for their decision to add a second back to the clock ahead of Michigan's Hail Mary.
Broncos head coach Lance Taylor and school president Russ Kavalhuna had a news conference Sunday afternoon to explain their school's side of Michigan's improbable 13-12 win. After the Wolverines' first Hail Mary attempt fell incomplete with seemingly no time remaining, the Big Ten's replay review officials added a second back to the clock as they determined that WMU defensive back Micah Davis jumped from out of bounds and touched the ball before time expired.
On UM's second try, Bryce Underwood hit JJ Buchanan for the game-winning touchdown.
Kavalhuna admitted Sunday that he wanted to appeal the decision in the moment, but realized that there was no way to do so. And he said that after further investigations and discussions with Big Ten commissioner Tony Pettitti and the conference's replay staff, there was a slight difference between the clock on NBC's broadcast and the official game clock used by the Big Ten.
"It is just a discrepancy," Kavalhuna said. "I would say what the viewing public see and the officials see are different. And that's clear. I will say, I've looked into this pretty closely and I used to be a federal prosecutor — I don't discern anything unfair or untoward in this process. Can the process be improved by having what the viewing public see as what the reviewing officials see? Maybe. Frankly that's not for me to decide.

For those unversed, as per multiple reports, the Sussexes flew privately from California to Birmingham on August 26. Harry and Meghan are reportedly staying in a private, non-royal home while retaining their Montecito and Portugal homes.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly refused accommodation offered by Princess Diana's brother, Charles Spencer. As per Rob Shuter's sources, Spencer proposed to the Sussexes the possibility of using The Falconry. Notably, it is the iconic 17th-century lodge on the Spencer family's Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire. However, Harry and Meghan reportedly rejected the offer from Spencer as it was too remote and not grand enough for their liking.
The source dished: "Harry was genuinely moved because Althorp will always be sacred ground to him. But Meghan took one look at the reality and knew it wouldn't work. Too remote, too far from London and, frankly, not nearly grand enough."

The Duke and ***** ss of Sussex returned to Britain for an extended stay on August 26. Their children, Archie and Lilibet, are also expected to start school in the UK soon. As of now, the Sussexes are reportedly staying in the Cotswolds. However, their permanent home has not yet been finalized. While Spencer offered them his "old lodge home," Markle reportedly felt that it was not luxurious enough for their needs.

Earlier, there were reports saying that Harry and Markle wanted nine bedrooms, a film studio, and plenty of private land for their UK residence. Amid this, a new report by Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice suggests that the couple were offered the chance to reside at The Falconry, an early 17th-century lodge located at the back of the deer park on the Althorp estate in Northamptonshire. Spencer used it as his home before inheriting the main house in 1992.
While Harry was reportedly deeply moved by the offer, as Althorp is "sacred ground" to him, Markle allegedly refused. A source claimed that she felt the property was "too remote, too far from London and, frankly, not nearly grand enough."
The insider explained that Markle wants privacy and security. But at the same time, she also expects "serious luxury, substantial ***** e and easy access to London." The source added, "Meghan isn't moving back to Britain to hide away in an old lodge in Northamptonshire." Hence, because the property reportedly did not meet her requirements, she rejected the offer.

With 99 career punt returns in the NFL, which includes a hefty 11.6 yards-per-return average in 2025, Dortch's presence on the Bills (practice squad) roster does in fact mean Buffalo now has an experienced punt returner.
And for as much as this signing feels like a savvy move born from special-teams desperation, I'm sneaky into Dortch as a supplemental receiving weapon within the Bills offense this season.
The first move of the Joe Brady era was trading for D.J. Moore. Clearly, the new regime deemed it most vital to upgrade a receiver room that, frankly, was one of the least dynamic in football last year. Couple the original relative lack of premier talent with an unusually high amount of injuries… and the Bills were forced to lean on Tyrell Shavers, Gabe Davis, Mecole Hardman, and Brandin Cooks, the latter two signed in November, down the stretch. And it just so happened that Josh Allen's final two targeted throws of Buffalo's 2025 season were to Hardman and Cooks, neither of which were completed, of course.
Because Moore and fourth-round pick Skyler Bell were the only two receivers of genuine importance added to the Bills receiver contingent this offseason… heck yeah I'm intrigued by the possibilities of a newly signed veteran wideout with 145 career catches on his NFL resume to date.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's move back to the U.K. was a big decision, so finding a perfect place to settle down is key.
According to a Wednesday, September 2, report in journalist Rob Shuter's Naughty But Nice Substack, Princess Diana's younger brother, Charles Spencer, offered the Sussexes the possibility of living at the Spencer family's Althorp Estate in Northamptonshire.
However, the former Suits star apparently wasn't too keen on the idea.
"Meghan took one look at the reality and knew it wouldn't work," a Naughty But Nice source claimed. "Too remote, too far from London and, frankly, not nearly grand enough."
According to the Substack, Harry's uncle, 62, offered up The Falconry, a 17th-century lodge on his family's historic grounds that was reportedly built in the early 1600s.
