The New York Mets have agreed to a three-year contract with former Yankees closer and two-time All-Star reliever Devin Williams, Yahoo Sports' Russell Dorsey confirms.
The Athletic and ESPN first reported the news. Per ESPN's Jeff Passan, the contract is worth more than $50 million in guaranteed money.

It’s a battle between two young quarterbacks to close out the NFL’s Week 13 as the Patriots and Drake Maye host the Giants and rookie passer Jaxson Dart.
The Giants are 2-10, finishing out the season after firing head coach Brian Daboll. The Patriots, meanwhile, have returned as one of the top teams in the NFL, sitting at 10-2 with Maye looking like an MVP candidate.
Kickoff is at 8:15 p.m. EST on ESPN.

After the clock ran out on the 49ers' 20-9 win over the Panthers, San Francisco receiver Jauan Jennings went after Panthers safety Tre'Von Moehig, giving him an open right hand to the facemask and anther shove before they were separated.
ESPN then showed what caused it. Moments earlier, Moehrig had punched Jennings in the crotch at the end of a play.

WNBA union reportedly unmoved by league's CBA proposal
With 10 days remaining until the expiration of the WNBA CBA, the league's latest proposal apparently isn't impressing the players.
Per ESPN's Alexa Philippou, the WNBPA does not see a proposal that includes a maximum salary of around $1.1 million and a minimum salary of around $220,000 as something that moves negotiations forward.
The offer, on its face, represented a significant jump from the current CBA, where the supermax was $249,244 and the minimum was $66,079. However, the union reportedly feels the system would not sufficiently

An MRI on Monday confirmed that Wembanyama is dealing with a left calf strain, the team announced. While they did not provide a timeline for his absence, he will reportedly miss “a few weeks” dealing with the injury, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

NEW YORK (AP) — Disney and YouTube TV reached a new deal to bring channels like ABC and ESPN back to the Google-owned livestreaming platform Friday, ending a blackout for customers that dragged on for over two weeks.
