Three head coaches and three defensive coordinators in three seasons means Stanford won't be taking a lot of continuity into its 2026 opener against visiting Hawaii on Aug. 29.
But the Cardinal players are taking a change-can-be-good approach as they prepare for their first game under head coach Tavita Pritchard and defensive coordinator Kris Richard (pronounced Ri-shard).
"Obviously, it's not always ideal, learning a new scheme every single year," redshirt senior linebacker Matt Rose said after practice Thursday morning, "but I try to look at the positives out of it. I've learned so much about football.
"Everyone has their scheme, but at the end of the day, football is football."
Junior cornerback Brandon Nicholson said, "I think every year - no matter what the case is - our group comes in determined. And we come in receptive to whoever is our defensive coordinator and we listen."

The New England Patriots wrapped up Day 6 of training camp practice on Friday with another impressive showing by the offense.
Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and company won the day through the air, even managing to finally push the ball downfield at points. It was an impressive showing when throwing into the teeth of one of the best secondary units in the NFL.
The ongoing training camp battles between star receiver A.J. Brown and cornerback Christian Gonzalez also continued to heat up on the field. In only two practices in pads, it's clear that the Patriots' offense has taken another step ahead of the 2026 season. Only time will tell how far that takes them.
Here were the eight standouts from Day 6:
It's crazy how quickly things can change. It was only a few days ago that people were worrying themselves over the shaky connection between A.J. Brown and Drake Maye.

The disrespect for the reigning Super Bowl LX champions Seattle Seahawks continues to grow. At this point, the growth is a daily feature. I'm talking specifically about the disrespect leveled at the Seahawks by the popular Madden video game franchise.
In the latest edition of the game, Madden 27, the team at EA Sports have been releasing their top 10 rankings for various positions, units and even teams. Seattle's elite defense was mightily disrespected earlier in the week, as Madden 27 had them as only the 10th best unit in the game. Out of the position rankings (defensive tackle, edge, linebacker, cornerback and safety) only one Seahawk - Devon Witherspoon - cracked the top 10 in any of those lists. Players like Leonard Williams, Byron Murphy II, Ernest Jones IV, Julian Love and Nick Emmanwori were nowhere to be seen.
Now, the disrespect continues to an equally insulting degree. On Friday, Madden 27 released their top 10 rankings for teams overall. Yes, Seattle did make the cut... but only barely. According to Madden 27, the Seahawks are only the 10th best team in the game. As for those ahead of them, well, just take a look for yourselves.
The Seahawks obliterated the 49ers in the Divisional Round, outlasted the Rams in the NFCCG (one missed field goal from going 3-0 against them last year) and humiliated the Patriots in Super Bowl LX.

Aside from the three teams I have listed in the tweet above (all with good reasons I laid out, of course) the other two insulting placements come in the form of the Detroit Lions and the Baltimore Ravens. The No. 3 and No. 4 ranked teams, really? Detroit finished 9-8 last season and weren't particularly good at anything, at least when compared to the Seahawks of course. As for the Ravens, they were 8-9 and missed the playoffs like the Lions did as well. I know Baltimore had injuries they dealt with, but they always have injuries! Not to mention they will be rolling with a first year head coach in 2026.

With the MLB trade deadline just around the corner, Cincinnati Reds ace Hunter Greene has been one of the most frequently discussed names in trade speculation. Given his electric stuff and front-of-the-rotation potential, it wasn't surprising that contending teams reportedly reached out to the Reds to gauge his availability.
However, it now appears that one of the deadline's biggest rumored blockbusters is unlikely to happen. MLB insider Ken Rosenthal has cast significant doubt on the possibility of Greene being dealt, suggesting Cincinnati has little interest in moving its ace despite the growing number of inquiries from around the league.

For weeks, rumors suggested the Reds could consider moving Greene if presented with the right offer. Those reports fueled speculation that several contenders were preparing blockbuster packages in hopes of landing one of baseball's premier young pitchers.

Early on, most vibes coming out of the Kansas City Chiefs' training camp at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph have been positive through three full-squad workouts.
One unfortunate exception has been the status of rookie cornerback Mansoor Delane, the sixth overall selection in April's draft. Delane suffered a shoulder injury earlier this summer in organized team activities (OTAs). He was reportedly just cleared for practice as rookies arrived to St. Joseph last week.
Delane has participated in every practice dating to the rookie portion last weekend. He has worn a yellow, non-contact jersey each time.
Speaking after Friday's session, head coach Andy Reid described Delane as in an unusual position of practicing while still recovering from injury.
"He's a tough kid," the coach remarked. "He was a state wrestling champ and all that stuff. Tough kid. He wants to be out there. He wants to do everything. We're not allowing him to use that arm. He's out there playing kind of one-handed. Until he's completely clear, we're going to keep an eye on him."

There were fans on hand for training camp practice for the first time. And they were treated to the direct sun side of the field. The players, on the other hand, see the direct sun every day, and the 95 degree morning heat that comes with it. That didn't stop them from putting some good looking product on the field, though.
Here are a few standouts from today.
He was absolutely dealing. Perfect passes perfectly placed all day, leading to some great catches that seemed near impossible for defenders to get to. This included dime ***** in the back left corner of the end zone to Brock Bowers and the back right corner to Tre Tucker. Then a tight fit ball to Jack Bech in the back of the end zone.
Two days in a row now Brock has been among the standouts. His first great catch came on a deep crossing route from right to left, leaving Isaiah Pola-Mao with no chance at it. Later Brock gave rookie Zeke Masses a welcome to the NFL moment, beating him on a corner route for a touchdown.
The first play Bech made was a nice block on a run out to the left. Then in red zone sessions, he beat Eric Stokes in the back of the end zone for the score.

Ohio State is known for its long list of standout wide receivers, and this year's roster will have no shortage of talent. But there's a name that may not be at the top of the list of potential x-factors that could raise the Buckeyes' ceiling even more. According to ESPN, Ohio State freshman wide receiver Chris Henry is labeled as the key x-factor for the Buckeyes' success in 2026.
"Can Henry make an impact as a true freshman, alongside All-American Jeremiah Smith and veteran Brandon Inniss? At 6-foot-5, Henry has the tools to become a dangerous downfield and red zone weapon for quarterback Julian Sayin," ESPN's Jake Trotter wrote. "Defenses will be loading up to slow Smith, which figures to give Henry plenty of favorable opportunities to show he can be Ohio State's next great wide receiver."
Henry was a consensus five-star prospect in the 2026 class and enters his true freshman season as a pivotal part of the offense for Ohio State. While Smith and Innis will be one of the top 1-2 combos at wideout across the entire country, adding the skill and size that Henry brings to the field would be another addition to an already explosive offense.
Ohio State has always had two stars on the outside, but what has made its offense so dependable and effective year after year is the ability to have 3-4 wideouts consistently on the field and producing. Whether it was Smith, Emeka Egbuka, Innis and Carnell Tate or the years of Marvin Harrison Jr, Julian Fleming, Egbuka or the dating back to the early 2020's of Chris Olave, Garrett Wilson and Jaxon Smith-Njigba -- the talent level at wideout has made it nearly impossible for opposing defenses to slow down Ohio State's offense.
With the 2026 season right around the corner, though there's still a competition and other veterans in the room, Henry appears to be the guy that Ohio State is looking at to step up and be impactful from day one.

The Minnesota Vikings quarterback competition is heating up, and no one is backing down on social media from defending who they think should win the job. Through it all, the coaching staff has remained steadfast in their execution of this quarterback competition, while some on the outside consider it already Kyler Murray's job to lose.
However, based on early notes from the first two days of training camp, it seems McCarthy is lacking some early explosiveness in his passing.
ESPN's Kevin Seifert shared his notes from practice on Thursday, July 30, and he hinted that McCarthy is being more conservative while Murray is pushing the ball down the field.
Seifert shared, "Perhaps the biggest takeaway Thursday from the competition between quarterbacks Kyler Murray and J.J. McCarthy is that Murray is more often pushing the ball downfield. He threw an accurate floater about 45 yards downfield to receiver Dontae Fleming, as well as a deep corner to receiver Justin Jefferson. He also missed tight end T.J. Hockenson down the right sideline."
Reports from others in camp are mixed, but the reports of Murray pushing the ball down the field are consistent. Some do have McCarthy ahead in the race, but it's just two days in, plenty of things and momentum will change. It will be interesting to see how they come out in a few days following their first break after three consecutive practice days.

Ex-PFL fighter Logan Storley had the charges against him dropped after he was arrested on **** ual **** ault allegations back in May in Key West, Fla.
Online records in Monroe County show that prosecutors closed the case while canceling the next court hearing, which was originally scheduled for Aug. 3. No further details were made available, but the case is now closed and Storley is cleared from the charges.
"We are pleased that the criminal case involving Logan Storley has been resolved through a pretrial diversion program, after which the State has agreed to dismiss the charges," Storley's manager and attorney David Martin said in a statement sent to MMA Fighting.
"We want to thank attorneys Jeff and Diego Weiner for their exceptional representation and most importantly, we want to thank everyone who refused to rush to judgment. The presumption of innocence remains a cornerstone of our criminal justice system, and every person deserves fairness, due process, and the opportunity to have their case decided based on the facts, not public opinion.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — As if two-way player Travis Hunter doesn't already have enough on his plate.
The week before the Jacksonville Jaguars opened training camp, Hunter was photographed wearing a police vest posing with Sheriff T.K. Waters and members of the Jacksonville Fire Rescue Department. It had the look of a ride-along, though Hunter wasn't saying.
"I was just out there just having fun with Sheriff T.K.," Hunter said Friday.
Hunter, the Heisman Trophy winner out of Colorado whom the Jaguars made the No. 2 pick in last year's draft, has enough to keep him occupied in training camp. Hunter is returning from injury, his rookie year ending two months into the season when he tore knee ligaments during noncontact drills.
In seven games, he played 324 snaps at receiver and 162 snaps at cornerback. The plan to use him on both sides of the ball has not changed, especially after the Jaguars shored up the core of their secondary by re-signing Montaric "Buster" Brown in March.

EA Sports unveiled Madden NFL 27 ratings for top-rated players earlier this week, leading up to the full ratings reveal on Friday. We now know the ratings for every Denver Broncos player in this year's version of the NFL's popular video game.
Notably, star cornerback Pat Surtain was snubbed from the "99 Club," reserved for the only players in the game with a perfect 99 overall rating. Surtain also dropped from being the No. 1-rated cornerback in last year's game (97 OVR) to now ranking second (97 OVR), trailing Christian Gonzalez (98 OVR).
Elsewhere on the defense, outside linebacker Nik Bonitto (91 OVR) is the ninth-best pass rusher in the game, and left tackle Garett Bolles (96 OVR) and guard Quinn Meinerz (95 OVR) are the third- and sixth-best offensive linemen in the game, respectively.

The Denver Broncos are bringing in veteran Sam Webb and parting ways with an injured rookie to make room for him.
Denver officially designated undrafted cornerback Blake Cotton as waived/injured on Friday. He will revert to injured reserve after clearing waivers.
However, after news broke on Thursday evening that the Broncos planned to sign Webb, Cotton told the Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson that Denver planned to waive him with an injury settlement. So he will presumably be released from IR with a settlement in the coming days.
Cotton (6-2, 195 pounds) totaled 30 tackles and seven pass breakups in 13 games at Utah last fall. He told Tomasson that he suffered a hamstring injury on the first day of training camp acclimation. The Broncos have not ruled out the possibility of bringing Cotton back at some point down the road, according to Tomasson.

The Chicago Bears were back for the third practice of training camp on Friday, which welcomed fans to Halas Hall for the first open workout of the summer.
The Bears put on a show for the fans on Day 3, which was dominated by the offense and featured several standout performances. Quarterback Caleb Williams is off to a hot start this training camp, and his connection continues to grow with his returning cast of weapons in Colston Loveland, Rome Odunze and Luther Burden III. There was also an interesting left tackle battle update, where for the first time this summer it wasn't Braxton Jones running with the first team. Meanwhile, the defense put up a bit of a fight during red zone drills, where Williams threw his first interception of camp.
Here's what we learned from the third practice of training camp:
The Bears offense has overwhelmingly dominated the first three practices of training camp, although the defense has had a few moments. On Friday, it was quarterbacks Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent putting on a show for fans leading Chicago's explosive passing attack that's remained mostly unstoppable. According to Chris Kwiecinski, "Caleb Williams and Tyson Bagent stole the show. They were in command, deadly accurate and anticipated routes so well." Williams' connection with Colston Loveland and Rome Odunze thrived while Bagent developed a nice rapport with Jahdae Walker, per Michal Dwojak. Even after Williams threw his first interception of the summer to Jaylon Johnson during red zone work, he "regrouped and made positive plays after."
The Bears offense had another impressive showing, but their one flaw came during the first red zone period, which was dominated by the defense. According to Courtney Cronin, both Montez Sweat and Austin Booker had sacks on back-to-back plays. Williams was picked off by cornerback Jaylon Johnson during a 7-on-7 red-zone drill, but he was able to bounce back later. Mark Carman noted that there was "some sloppiness in the red zone" where "Caleb showed some frustration and leadership." But the offense closed things out on a strong note with a successful two-minute drill, where there was 1:37 left, two timeouts, on own 39 with game tied at 10-10, per Adam Jahns. They went sox plays before Williams connected with Loveland for a 14-yard touchdown. But the best part according to Jahns? "Williams and Bears offense overcame a sack halfway through the drill. Williams-Loveland connection came through."

New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez stands alone at his position Madden NFL 27.
EA Sports revealed on Thursday that Gonzalez is the top rated cornerback in Madden 27 with a 98 overall rating.
Gonzalez was rated above Denver Broncos former AP Defensive Player of the Year Pat Surtain (97), Los Angeles Rams CB Trent McDuffie (94), Cleveland Browns CB Denzel Ward (93) and Houston Texans CB Derek Stingley Jr. (92).
The 24-year-old Gonzalez had a great year in 2025. He recorded 10 passes defensed on the year and furthered his status as one of the best cover corners in the NFL with many big plays, most notably in the playoffs for New England.
While Gonzalez was not named an All-Pro last season over the likes of Surtain, Stingley Jr., Devon Witherspoon or Quinyon Mitchell, the latter two of whom he also received a higher rating than, the Patriots star wowed with his ability to lock down opposing wide receivers in the biggest of moments, which was a distinguishing factor for the season that he had in 2025.

The San Francisco 49ers on Friday made a handful of roster moves to bring in tight end Josiah Deguara and wide receiver Trenton Irwin.
In a pair of corresponding moves the 49ers waived cornerback Derrick Canteen and waived recently-signed TE Tanner McLachlan with an injury designation.
Deguara is a Santa Rosa native who entered the NFL in 2020 as a third-round pick of the Green Bay Packers. He spent four seasons in Green Bay, one in Jacksonville and one in Arizona. In six NFL seasons he has 12 starts in 77 games. Deguara has 53 receptions for 473 yards and three touchdowns as a pro. He has a real chance to stick on the back end of the roster depending on how many TEs the 49ers keep.
Irwin figures to be more of a camp body than an actual candidate to make the final roster. He was part of a workout that featured three veteran wide receivers earlier in the week. Irwin last played in the NFL in 2024 when he was with the Cincinnati Bengals where he spent his entire six-year career. During his Bengals tenure he hauled in 46 passes for 601 yards and five touchdowns.
The 49ers badly need WRs who can take reps in training camp and the preseason. As a seasoned pro it wouldn't be a surprise if Irwin does enough in camp to land a spot on the 49ers' practice squad.

The NFC South has become one of the NFL's most competitive divisions in recent years, but Bleacher Report isn't convinced it's one of the league's best.
In a preseason ranking of every NFL division, Kristopher Knox placed the NFC South eighth, making it the lowest-ranked division heading into the 2026 campaign. The ranking factored in last season's results, offseason additions and departures, and each team's placement in Bleacher Report's latest power rankings.
Knox acknowledged that every team in the division has reasons for optimism. He pointed to Atlanta's additions of head coach Kevin Stefanski and quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, New Orleans continuing to build around young quarterback Tyler Shough, and the Buccaneers addressing their pass rush by signing Al-Quadin Muhammad and drafting Rueben Bain Jr.
Tampa Bay also found itself on the list of the division's biggest offseason losses. Knox highlighted the departures of longtime franchise cornerstones Lavonte David, who retired, and Mike Evans, who left in free agency, as significant changes for a team looking to reclaim the NFC South crown after its four-year run at the top of the division came to an end.
Despite ranking the NFC South last overall, Knox doesn't believe the race will lack intrigue. He noted that Carolina, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and New Orleans all have a realistic path to contention if their quarterback situations develop as hoped. He also pointed out that the Buccaneers looked like one of the NFL's hottest teams before injuries derailed their season, leaving them with an opportunity to win the division until the final week of the year.

Arguably the best part of training camp starting, outside the obvious sight of an oasis in the all-too-long football desert of summertime, is that we finally start to get real stories and storylines to discuss. We largely get to move on from the never-ending narratives of the true offseason.
Which is what makes Joe Buck's recent comments on ESPN's Get Up that much funnier.
We know all about the hype the Los Angeles Rams are getting this offseason. They're the Super Bowl favorites according to all the major sportsbooks, reigning MVP Matthew Stafford is being placed near the top of nearly every preseason quarterback ranking, they improved their weaker side of the ball by adding the best defensive player in the league and a multi-time All-Pro at cornerback. The good news has almost been overwhelming, and the Rams are justly being placed on a pedestal for all of it.

After working on the practice fields at their Baptist Health Training Complex on Wednesday and Thursday, the Miami Dolphins were back out their Friday morning for their final training camp session of the week.
Miami will be off on Saturday before returning to action on Sunday, with fans in attendance. However, before we get there, let's talk about everything that happened at Day 3 of Dolphins training camp, according to the beat writers on the scene.
The Dolphins had perfect attendance on Friday again, as their only absences were wide receiver Chris Bell (NFI) and cornerbacks Darrell Baker Jr. (PUP) and Storm Duck (PUP), per the South Florida Sun-Sentinel's David Furones.
After the offense struggled on Day 2, they bounced back a bit on Friday. Multiple reporters noted that rookie wide receiver Caleb Douglas made multiple impressive plays, including a one-handed grab for a touchdown. That may be very important, especially with Tutu Atwell's hands popping up as an issue on Thursday.
Speaking of problems catching the ball, rookie tight end Will Kacmarek had a ball bounce of his hands into the arms of a waiting defender, according to the Palm Beach Post's Joe Schad. This has been an issue for a few players early on.

PHILADELPHIA — Jalen Carter's record-setting contract pays him like the NFL's best defensive tackle without immediately placing a record burden on the Eagles' salary cap. Carter signed a four-year, $152 million extension that includes $40.8 million guaranteed at signing, according to Spotrac. Another $30 million becomes guaranteed next March, while the practical guarantee reaches approximately $106.8 million over four years.
The extension, which reportedly includes $160 million in incentives, keeps Carter under contract through the 2031 season. His $38 million average annual salary makes him the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history.
Philadelphia included five option bonuses and four void years in the structure. The option bonuses allow the Eagles to spread charges across multiple salary-cap seasons rather than absorbing the money immediately. The void years are accounting mechanisms and do not place Carter under contract beyond 2031. Carter's cap charge rises to $9.1 million in 2026, costing Philadelphia approximately $2.1 million in additional ****** e. The larger benefit arrives in 2027, when his $9.5 million charge represents approximately $17.6 million in savings compared with his previous fifth-year option figure.
His cap numbers then rise gradually: $15.5 million in 2028, $22.2 million in 2029, $29.4 million in 2030 and $26.2 million in 2031. The structure currently leaves a projected $68.1 million charge in 2032, the first void year. That figure is not likely to remain untouched. Philadelphia could extend Carter again, restructure later portions of the deal or manage the remaining charge through future cap transactions.
The contract reflects Howie Roseman's preference for securing cornerstone players early while pushing larger accounting costs into seasons when the NFL salary cap is expected to be higher.

The Bills announced a pair of roster moves on Friday morning.
They have signed cornerback D.J. Miller to their active roster. Safety Wande Owens was waived in a corresponding move.
Miller was undrafted in 2024 and spent time with the Lions and Chiefs before moving on to the UFL the last two seasons. He played for Columbus in 2026 and had 24 tackles, a tackle for loss and three interceptions. He also had two interceptions for Michigan during the 2025 season.
Owens was waived with an injury by the Bills ahead of the 2025 season and returned to the team this year.

The wide receiver position is absolutely loaded in both fantasy football and reality. It's so hard to put together any sort of position ranking list without feeling like you left someone off or slighted a really good player or two. And yet, I'm going to give it a shot for yet another season in this annual exercise … and I'll absolutely feel the aforementioned regret, shame, etc.
After pouring hours into charting a ton of the guys drafted the last few years for Reception Perception, I decided to sit down and rank the top-15 wide receivers who are currently 25 years old or younger heading into the 2026 NFL season (not including rookies).

Note: These are not simply fantasy rankings. Instead, this is how I view these guys as pure individual NFL players removed from the context of their situations. One player I did not include here was Travis Hunter, who is quite likely to play more cornerback than wide receiver this season (key distinction) for the Jaguars. As a wide receiver only, however, I'm a big fan and think he could compete for a top-10 spot if he got the developmental reps he needs.
Since he entered the league in 2023, Puka Nacua leads all wide receivers with 600 or more routes in yards, first downs and successful targets per route run. Every season he gets a little bit better, with 2025 being the year he added more vertical separation to his bag.

Defensive back Sam Webb tried out for the Broncos on Thursday and he'll be sticking around Denver for a while.
According to multiple reports, the Broncos will sign Webb to their 90-man roster. The team has not announced the move or a corresponding cut, but rookie cornerback Blake Cotton told Chris Tomasson of the Colorado Springs Gazette that he is being waived with an injury settlement.
Webb had eight tackles and a 47-yard fumble return for a touchdown in seven games for the Browns last season. He played in 28 games for the Raiders over the 2022 and 2024 seasons — he played one game for the Panthers in 2023 — and had 37 tackles for Las Vegas.
Cornerback Ricardo Hallman also tried out for the Broncos on Thursday.

Kicking off the news cycle on Wednesday was word that Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson and Lions' Jahmyr Gibbs are sitting out their team's respective practices as they seek long-term extensions. And on Thursday, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield expressed disappointment at the team not coming to an agreement on a contract extension. Late Thursday, one team did come to a deal with an old friend, as the San Francisco 49ers brought back Deebo Samuel on a reported one-year deal.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are full steam ahead as training camp continues to roll on, with several player performances offering excitement — and concern — through two days of practice.
From two players putting together back-to-back standout performances to a second-year quarterback ending practice on a low point, here are the biggest winners and losers from Day 2 of training camp.
Wilson was already garnering buzz as one of Aaron Rodgers' top targets on Day 1, and the young receiver looked even more impressive on Day 2. The Rodgers-to-Wilson connection looks incredible through two days of practice, and it's definitely one to keep an eye on over the next month.
It was another standout day for Samuel, who made some great plays in his first practice in Latrobe. Samuel made a beautiful pass defense on a deep ball intended for Pat Freiermuth and is steadily emerging as one of Pittsburgh's top cornerbacks.
Chris Boswell looked in midseason form, and Cameron Johnston was punting bombs on the second day of practice. The veterans of the group delivered two standout special teams performances. Oh, and as an added bonus, Travis Homer was playing a big role on special teams that was last held by former All-Pro Steeler Miles Killebrew. Homer's special teams versatility could land him a spot on the 53-man roster.

With media and fans in attendance, there's plenty to keep an eye on during Friday's practice, which marks the first open workout of the summer.
Quarterback Caleb Williams is entering his third season with high expectations after a breakout sophomore campaign. He'll lead what was one of the NFL's best offenses from a season ago, where weapons Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, Colston Loveland and Zavion Thomas present unlimited opportunities in the passing game. There are also a number of position battles underway, including at nickel cornerback, left tackle and long snapper.

Under former head coach Jimbo Fisher, Texas A&M's wide receiver rotations struggled to find any consistency, no matter who was throwing the ball, and even after landing five-star Evan Stewart and four-star Noah Thomas in the historic 2022 recruiting class, injuries, a lack of development, and poor usage derailed both players' careers in College Station.
Stewart, who transferred to Oregon after the 2023 season, is currently a redshirt senior with the Ducks, while Noah Thomas transferred to Georgia after three seasons with the Aggies, appearing in 35 games and recording 73 receptions for 934 yards and 15 touchdowns, serving as A&M's starting X receiver during his final season, which was by far his most productive.
Why Thomas decided to transfer to Georgia is still surprising to this day, appearing in 10 games with the Bulldogs and recorded just 16 receptions for 264 yards and four touchdowns. Even after landing transfer wide receivers Mario Craver and KC Concepcion, Thomas would have still seen extensive playing time as the X receiver, especially after Jerome Myles' injury before the 2025 season.
The Aggies lacked size, which became an issue late in the year after starting 11-0, but after adding Alabama transfer WR Isaiah Horton this offseason, who is 6'4" and 215 pounds, A&M has likely solved its size issue, while Noah Thomas, who went undrafted in the 2026 NFL Draft, is looking to stand out with the Cincinnati Bengals during NFL Training Camp.
On Thursday, Thomas made the "catch of the day," which was captured by local Bengals media, as the rookie's physicality and concentration were on full display, pulling down the catch against veteran cornerback D.J Ivey. Thomas certainly possesses the traits to make an NFL roster.

Everyone was talking about the training camp scuffle from Day 1 of camp for the Cincinnati Bengals. Some people were concerned that Zac Taylor was letting too much go.
In reality, it was just players going out and competing against one another to get better.
Ja'Marr Chase talked to the media after Day 2 of camp. When asked if he liked seeing that type of fire from the defensive back,
"A lot of competitiveness going on, and getting each other better. That's what I want, exactly what I want. I never seen JD like that. It's new. I like it. I think it makes them guys practice a little harder," he said.
The JD he was referring to is expected nickel corner starter Jalen Davis. It isn't surprising that a former undrafted free agent who has had to scratch and claw his way on the practice squad and roster would be out there with a bit of a chip on his shoulder. Davis mixed it up with Chase, but also with Mike Gesicki during day one of training camp.

Most tickets to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics cost hundreds of dollars, and the most coveted seats at dozens of high-profile events cost more than $1,000, according to fans who won the opportunity to purchase tickets in LA28 presales.
LA28 organizers have not publicly released a full price catalog, but fans have compiled spreadsheets with a complete list of prices for all 800-plus ticketed events. The Athletic, via screenshots and screen recordings, has independently confirmed many of the prices, which range from $28 (for the least desirable seats at lower-profile events) to $5,519 (for a lower-level seat at the opening ceremony).
The prices, across the board, are by far the highest in Olympic history. In many cases, tickets to LA28 are more than twice as expensive as an equivalent ticket at the 2024 Paris Olympics — whose prices sparked controversy in France.
The L.A. organizing committee's justification is similar to the one that guided FIFA's 2026 World Cup approach. "Pricing is rooted in heavy ****** ytics and extensive market demand research around entertainment and live sports in the U.S.," an LA28 spokesperson told The Athletic. In other words, Americans are accustomed to paying a lot for sports tickets.
Beyond the opening and closing ceremonies, the single most expensive sporting event at the 2028 Games is the men's basketball final. The top two ticket categories are reserved entirely for hospitality package buyers, who get courtside seats. A Category C seat — in the lower bowl along the sideline or in a corner — costs $3,350.

Indianapolis Colts' cornerback Charvarius Ward said after the 2025 season that retirement was on his mind, but how close was he to making that decision?
"Probably 85% sure I was going to retire," Ward said via Stephen Holder after Thursday's training camp practice.
Ward sustained three separate concussions last season. He also lost his daughter in 2024.
"I found a different why, a different purpose," Ward said. "Doing it for Junior, doing it for Amani, my daughter. They bring me joy. They bring a smile to my face."
On the practice field, Ward -- as well as Sauce Gardner -- are off to very strong starts.
