WOODLAND HILLS, Calif.— The Los Angeles Rams entered the 2026 season with Super Bowl expectations, a star-studded roster and perhaps more overall talent than any team in the NFL.
Things didn't start so well and after their 27-7 season-opening loss to the San Francisco 49ers, one question deserves more attention: Do the Rams have enough game-breaking speed on both sides of the football?
It may seem like a strange question for a roster featuring great talents like Puka Nacua, Kyren Williams, Davante Adams, Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald. But when the Rams were unable to create explosive plays against San Francisco.
Their lack of speed and explosiveness became difficult to ignore.
The offense is built around precision, timing and physicality. Nacua remains one of the NFL's most dangerous playmakers, while Williams has proven capable of producing consistently in the running game. Adams brings Hall of Fame-caliber route running and contested-catch ability.

The Los Angeles Rams, the heavy Super Bowl favorites entering the season, opened the year in the NFL's first-ever game in Melbourne, Australia, against the San Francisco 49ers. The majority of the attention the Rams have gotten this offseason has been centered on the defensive line, which was bolstered by the acquisition of the NFL's single-season sack record holder Myles Garrett and the return of Aaron Donald from retirement.
However, Los Angeles also has one of the most potent offenses in the league, with reigning league MVP Matthew Stafford passing to two of the best wide receivers in the league, Davante Adams and Puka Nacua. Unfortunately for Nacua, he's been caught up in some off-the-field trouble recently.
Ahead of kickoff on Thursday, Nacua sat down with Netflix's Elle Duncan and spoke candidly about his struggles wth alcohol.
"I think I learned that I'm very avoidant of conflict, which is very interesting due to the football nature of… I would like to say I play very physical, just avoidant of the things that I know were causing me stress," Nacua told Duncan.
"Just, I think some of the change in lifestyle that came up to me, becoming a public figure, the stress of performing at a high level," he responded after being asked what was causing him stress. "And then I recently became a father. My son is 10 months old. And navigating that co-parenting relationship with his mother, I would kind of isolate myself to feel like the weight of all the issues and things that I have was stuck on my shoulders, and not being willing to ask for help. I was never one to share my fears and my worries. I was always Finding different ways to escape, I guess, from that tension or that stress."

A former teammate of Aaron Rodgers has called out the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback over his public criticism of Roman Wilson.
On a recent episode of FS1's First Things First, Greg Jennings, a former Green Bay Packers teammate of Rodgers, took aim at the veteran quarterback for comments he made about Wilson making a "repeat mistake" at practice.
"I've never liked this," Jennings said about Rodgers' comments on Wilson. "He's not doing this to DK. He's not doing this to Davante Adams. You don't take something that we can resolve — and I get it, he talked glowingly about Roman. … But Roman is listening to that, and immediately, when you hear 'that's the second time,' it's like a reprimand of like, we didn't even need to know about the first time. This has been the issue that I've always had, when we look at [Rodgers], it's like, do you ever do anything wrong?"
Rodgers has become notorious for calling out teammates publicly, such as the "red line" incident with Mike Williams on the New York Jets.
Hopefully, Rodgers' comments will only motivate Wilson heading into a pivotal Year 3, one in which he's expected to play a huge role on Pittsburgh's Mike McCarthy-led offense.

If you want the most terminally online deep sleeper, Ferguson is your guy. The 2025 second-round pick played in the most absurd role in tight end history last year under coach Sean McVay. Ferguson largely played a vertical receiving role in 2- and 3-TE sets as a downfield receiver in disguise. His average depth of target was 17.9 yards downfield. Only Tyquan Thornton, Alec Pierce and Kyle Williams were targeted more downfield!!! That will boggle the mind. Fast-forward to this year, the Rams need better talent at "WR," and Ferguson could be the answer based on what he provided last season. Davante Adams was dangled in trade discussions open to the public after a down season beyond the goal line, and trading for Tutu Atwell on Aug. 27 is never a great sign for the rest of the room. There's a chance (25%) that Ferguson is viewed as the team's WR3 this season. The loss of a true breakout receiver in Jayden Higgins will have significant ramifications on the Texans' passing attack. Nico Collins is an elite top target, with Jaylin Noel and Kayshon Boutte as quality contributors. However, fantasy managers shouldn't sleep on Dalton Schultz. The veteran tight end seems like a boring pick, but he's quietly coming off a strong fantasy campaign where he averaged the 11th-most points at his position over the final 13 weeks. That included finishing tied for third in receptions among tight ends (82) and sixth in receiving yards (777). With Higgins sidelined for the season, Schultz now has a chance to be C.J. Stroud's No. 2 target once again. You're not going to impress your leaguemates by taking the 30-year-old Texans tight end. The Los Angeles Rams are entering the 2026 season with an unprecedented amount of leadership.
After finishing their initial 53-man roster Sunday, the Rams announced Monday that their players had voted for 11 team captains. That is the largest captain group of the Sean McVay era, surpassing the nine captains selected in 2020. The Rams had seven captains in 2025.
The group is also notable for its balance. Five captains represent the offense, five represent the defense and Joe Cardona represents special teams. It includes six returning Rams captains and three newcomers to Los Angeles, while Davante Adams and Coleman Shelton are first-time Rams captains.
McVay described the group as having as much leadership as the Rams have had during his tenure, and the list certainly backs up that ******* sment.

Since their opening practices of OTAs last season, Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams have been in sync, using their veteran and positional perspectives to dial up the NFL's highest-scoring connection in 2025.
While Stafford and Adams were elite in 2025, their start in the regular season was a bit rocky because they had to adjust to each other after having limited reps. At the same time, they were attempting to figure out the opponent. It didn't help that Stafford missed training camp with a back issue, leading to Adams working with Jimmy Garoppolo during camp and joint practices.
This year, both players have been full participants, with head coach Sean McVay expressing his thoughts on the duo.
"We were literally just [talking about] that," McVay said of their strong connection. "It's awesome because obviously you could see about midway through the season they got really comfortable, but you don't take for granted how important that rapport is. No matter how great you are, you've got two great players. You've got to be able to get those reps, and repetition is the mother of learning.
"They've got a great feel. I think today was a really good day for those guys being able to connect against tight, sticky coverage. It's been awesome, but they're two outstanding people, outstanding players, and it's really fun to watch them take some ownership and even just be a fly on the wall and listen to their dialogue and what they're thinking. I love what I've seen from those guys."

Wide receivers can be a little tricky in fantasy football. While you want to target players who are the No. 1 receiver on their team, it is not advised to draft a receiver who is the only target on the team.
That is why Houston Texans wide receiver Jayden Higgins' season-ending torn ACL may have actually hurt receiver Nico Collins' fantasy stock a little.
The top wide receivers in fantasy generally have another talented receiver paired with them. Ja'Marr Chase with the Cincinnati Bengals has Tee Higgins. Puka Nacua with the Los Angeles Rams has Davante Adams. Justin Jefferson with the Minnesota Vikings has Jordan Addison.
Collins had Higgins, but now there is a bigger gap between the No. 1 and No. 2 receiver on the roster.
Houston still has tight end Dalton Schultz, who was actually second on the Texans in receiving yards last year, so there are other targets defenders will have to deal with. However, since Higgins is now out for the season, it will be easier for opposing defenders to double-team Collins and Schultz since they will feel more comfortable leaving receivers like Xavier Hutchinson and newcomers Zay Jones and Sterling Shepard one-on-one.

Even with the Los Angeles Rams' shift toward more 13 personnel and higher tight end usage, the No. 3 receiver role is critical to the success of the offense. Unfortunately, they don't have a clear-cut WR3 like they have in years past, but there are a few guys competing for that role – including second-year receiver Konata Mumpfield.
Mumpfield and Jordan Whittington are the favorites to operate as co-WR3s for the Rams this year, and it was Mumpfield who drew high praise from Sean McVay after Thursday's joint practice with the Saints. He earned more opportunities with Puka Nacua injured, and it sounds like he's capitalizing on those chances.
"He's stepped up a lot," McVay said of Mumpfield. "He's one of those guys, he's so conscientious, gave him a couple things. Rob Calabrese, 'Yarbs' (Eric Yarber) and Robert Woods, they've talked about some things to be able to take his game to another level, and he's done that. In Puka's absence – obviously, we know how special Puka is, but I think both Mump and Jordan Whittington do a good job of being able to step up and show how valuable they are, but he's a sharp, savvy route-runner. He's wired to be able to separate. He's catching the ball really well and he does a great job of competing without the football, which is super important for us, so I love everything Mump's about."
Mumpfield was a seventh-round pick by the Rams last year, playing all 17 games as a rookie. He was targeted 23 times but caught just 10 passes for 92 yards and one touchdown during the regular season.
Though he and Whittington are vying for more snaps this season, they have very different skill sets. Mumpfield is more of a true outside receiver in the mold of Davante Adams, while Whittington can move all around the formation as a receiver and ball carrier on jet sweeps.

Nothing steals the show quite like two strengths going head-to-head. Puka Nacua and Davante Adams battled every day against Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson. They each had their own victories on certain days, but the Rams won from the competitive bar being raised.

With Matthew Stafford and Davante Adams having the day off, the team was able to take a closer look at their backup situation. Here are five observations from practice.
Kevin Dotson and Warren McClendon once again put on a display. Yes, it was practice, but they were putting their hands on defenders, and taking them for a drive. They were exposed here and there, but nothing beyond the scope of NFL football and considering the talent on the line, Dotson and McClendon did more than enough to get the job done, had this been a real game.
McClendon has a natural, stout presence about him, absorbing pressure, without surrendering his placement. Dotson's ability to advance to the second level and rake out linebackers continues to impress, with one rep earning Dotson some congratulations from offensive coordinator Nate Scheelhaase.
The talk revolving around Garrett and his impact has been mauled over. However, it the impact of others than I'm excited about. Braden Fiske has grown as an every-down player, who constantly got into the backfield and blew up plays all day long.

Over the course of Sean McVay's coaching career, one part of his operation that rarely gets the praise is the medical team. At the forefront of sports medicine, not only are players exposed to the top medical minds and concepts, but the team has also put together individualized practice schedules to maintain the health of their roster.
A key to their approach is the instillation of rest days. Regardless of status, the Rams have used off-days to manage a variety of issues, including Matthew Stafford's back, Byron Young's knee and Alaric Jackson's battle with blood clots. The Rams are even taking extra precautions with Myles Garrett.
Recently, veteran receiver Davante Adams spoke about those health days and the impact that they have.
"It keeps you healthier," Adams said. "You can come out here, it's a grind. We all know that. It's a mental grind. It's a combination of mental and physical. It's not supposed to come out here and tear your body down to separate the boys from the men. That's the old school way of doing things. There are ways of separating the boys from the men, but I don't think it's through just trying to callous us coming out here and killing us on the field."
"When we go, we go. The type of people that we have, **** ody's taking advantage of the fact that he'll look out for us a little bit in the schedule or notice if the volume is a little high for certain players, he'll have certain off-days. It took me 12 years to even have an off day. Coming here and I told them, 'If you want me to have an off day, you all are going to have to manipulate the schedule for that.'

Along with his league-leading production, Adams goes above and beyond to help his teammates become their best selves.

"I can honestly say I don't know if I'll get a better look than what I get from Trent out there," Adams said this week. "I don't like putting big expectations, bulletin board material or any of that but at the end of the day, I can't remember the last time I felt about another corner the way I feel about him. I say that because certain guys make plays because they fall into them. They have a certain feel for the ball, but Trent's out there doing something every single play. I don't know if you understand what I'm saying when I say that, but some guys, things happen and you end up with the ball in your hand on defense and that's how it happens."
Adams, who loves to play golf in the offseason, used an ******* ogy comparing himself to two-time major champion Collin Morikawa to explain how McDuffie makes plays instead of lucking into them.

While not all of these stars will see extended time in the preseason, these games could be a sign of things to come for the Rams in 2026.

It's hard to get off of Jahmyr Gibbs as the 1.01 in half PPR, but Nacua has a case and is definitely in the mix for 1.01 in full PPR. He has the most receptions through a WR's first three seasons in NFL history, and he's also the career leader in receiving yards per game. Last year, he led the NFL in both categories on a per-game basis (8.1 receptions for 107.7 yards).
Already a fantasy football legend, Nacua has a very obvious area to explode further: red zone TDs. Last year, Davante Adams had a 27% target share in the red zone compared to Nacua's 17%. Adams scored 13 RZ TDs to Nacua's 6. That could change at any point, especially if Adams' hammy acts up. If that gets close to even or flips to Nacua, then we're talking about a ceiling that only Cooper Kupp, Jerry Rice, CeeDee Lamb and Ja'Marr Chase have ever had in a single season.

Davante Adams led the NFL with 0.76 touchdowns per game inside the 20-yard line on a 27% target share. Only Amon-Ra St. Brown and Drake London came close to matching, but his role outside the red zone was just as fascinating. He had an 18% target share with a 0% screen rate outside of the red zone with an average depth of target 15.6 yards downfield, which was the third highest at WR. Adams' role is completely big-play dependent with his easy targets evaporating.
Josh Allen has finished as the QB1 (24.6 points per game), QB3 (23.7), QB1 (25.8), and QB1 (26.4) in recent seasons. The last two years were his worst fantasy years in a long time, and he still separated from the mid- and low-end fantasy QB1s. In terms of overall finishes using fantasy points over replacement per game in half-PPR, Allen has been 30th, 18th, 30th and 19th. The only downside with him is how deep the QB group is this season, so I'd understand waiting until late Round 3 to grab Allen.
Over the past two seasons when Lamar Jackson has over five passes in a game, Zay Flowers is the WR13 in yards and the WR47 in touchdowns per game. His target share in the red zone is 15.7% versus 27.5% outside of the red zone. If he scores some long touchdowns or gets more chances in the red zone, then Flowers is an upside WR2 as he heads into his prime. Unfortunately, there's about 10 other receivers in this exact tier.

The Los Angeles Rams lit up the scoreboard last season as the No. 1 offense in the NFL, and they're returning all of their key players. Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and Kyren Williams are the primary skill players around Matthew Stafford, but second-year tight end Terrance Ferguson should not be forgotten.
Ferguson made the most of his limited opportunities last season, averaging 21 yards per catch on 11 receptions, with three of those catches going for touchdowns. Entering Year 2, Ferguson's stock is trending up.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated recently visited Rams training camp and from what he's heard, Ferguson has had a "fantastic offseason" and the Rams "now believe he could grow into one of the NFL's best tight ends.
On offense, Davante Adams, Puka Nacua and Kyren Williams are where you'd expect them to be, and Colby Parkinson is leading a deep, versatile tight end group. The second layer of skill talent is where the offense could look a little different than it did a year ago. Terrance Ferguson has had a fantastic offseason. He is now proving to be a guy who can play all over the formation and looks like he could be a force after the catch, showing why the Rams coveted him in the 2025 draft and now believe he could grow into one of the NFL's best tight ends. Blake Corum has also worked to earn carries alongside Williams, seeing the game faster, and looking like a guy who could add a big-play element to the Rams' physical run game. If there's a question on offense, it's at tackle, where Alaric Jackson is facing potential discipline from the NFL, and Rob Havenstein retired.
Considering how much talent there is at the tight end position across the NFL right now, those are some seriously high expectations. If he were to somehow develop into a player of Trey McBride or Brock Bowers' caliber, it would completely change the complexion of the offense.

Newly acquired star Myles Garrett is set to miss his fourth-consecutive practice in his first training camp with the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams are likely taking a precautionary approach with Garrett. Splash offseason moves only matter if the star player is healthy enough to contribute in the regular season and into the playoffs. McVay and the Rams don't need Garrett for training camp. They need him ready for Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers in Melbourne, Australia.
Garrett isn't the only player whose workload is being managed by the team. Matthew Stafford, Davante Adams, and Byron Young have all received lighter-than-usual workloads in the early going of training camp.

The Los Angeles Rams could not have expected Davante Adams to have the impact he's had on the franchise when they signed him last offseason. Not only did he lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns, but he also became a mentor and the undisputed leader of the wide receiver room.
Puka Nacua has credited Adams for taking charge and being the ultimate example, while Konata Mumpfield has become sort of an apprentice, rapidly growing his role within the offensive scheme. In 2026, it appears that CJ Daniels has become the latest to seek Adams' advice.
During a recent press conference, Adams told reporters that he's developed a rapport with Daniels during OTAs, helping the rookie with elements of his game that need improvement. Daniels sought Adams' advice before the break before camp.

Generally speaking, when a headline asks a yes or no question, the answer is "no." It's called Betteridge's law of headlines, and it's a consistent guide in the journalism world.
If we apply it here, the law tells us that no, Davante Adams won't recreate his 2025 production in 2026.
OK, so it's unlikely that Adams leads the NFL in receiving touchdowns in his age-34 season. But what can we expect from the veteran receiver?
It's not impossible, but it would be somewhat shocking to see him completely fall off a cliff. Adams's game is built to last, as it's based far more on technique and precision than it is on raw, physical gifts. He's been an elite route runner with a top-tier release for the balance of his career, and it's a career with legitimate Hall of Fame credentials. Those kinds of players generally age more gracefully at the position.
That said, his transformation last year into the best red zone weapon in the league probably won't continue. It could, certainly, but the odds don't favor it. Again, he'll turn 34 this season (albeit quite late in the year) and individual red zone production can be a volatile statistic. Even if he's able to separate at nearly the same clip as 2025 near the goal line, there are numerous reasons why he might not score at the same level as he did a year ago.

From an unbiased point of view, there really was no reason for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford to have the best season of his career in 2025. The MVP winner was clearly the NFL's best quarterback and decision-maker, but he entered the season with a schedule that put him against the league's top defenses, while being 37 years old with a back issue that forced him to miss training camp and almost put him on injured reserve to start the season.
Despite those looming hurdles, Stafford was simply brilliant, leading the NFL in passing yards and touchdowns. A primary reason is the players around him. While star receivers Davante Adams and Puka Nacua continue to dominate headlines, the Rams' offensive line has quietly been one of the league's best, which comes as a surprise due to how it was ******* embled.
Recently, Stafford spoke on The Athletic Football Show about a variety of topics, with the quarterback praising his line's ability to pick up pressure, especially on blitzes.
"You can't do anything if you're not protected and you got to find ways to get those protections done," Stafford said. "There was a great play—a great job of communicating from our entire group up front—relaying a call out, getting a back out in Carolina.
"I hit Davante on my left on like an in-cut versus a crazy overload blitz that we did a great job using the cadence. We got it shown, we flipped over the whole [protection], slid the line, did the whole thing, and it takes everybody. You know, that's what you realize. You can't sit there and go, 'Man, Matthew, great throw.' I was like, 'Yeah, well, I was able to stand in there and throw it.'"

The "NFL Top 100 Players" is an annual NFL offseason tradition. There are a few names from the Kansas City Chiefs expected to make the cut, but there are also many opponents featured in this year's rankings. Player No. 53 is a player they are scheduled to see across from them this coming season.
No. 53 is Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Davante Adams.
Adams started all 14 games he played for the Rams in 2025; he finished the regular season with 60 receptions for 789 yards and an NFL-high 14 receiving touchdowns. In Week 15, Adams aggravated an injury to his left hamstring and was held out for the remainder of the regular season.
Adams and the Rams will host the Chiefs in Week 13 of the 2026 season on Thursday Night Football, December 3, at SoFi Stadium.

Even though the pads aren't on yet, the competition in training camp is heating up. The Los Angeles Rams held their second practice at LMU on Monday and a handful of players stood out in a positive way – including two young guys who are trying to make their mark on the 53-man roster.
Based on reports from camp, here are four players who performed well in Monday's practice.
The Rams traded up for Daniels in the sixth round of the draft this year and they may have found their latest Day 3 gem. The former Miami receiver drew high praise from reporters in attendance, as well as his head coach Sean McVay. Stu Jackson of TheRams.com noted that Daniels "caught just about every target thrown his way on Monday" while working with the second-team offense.
McVay said Daniels has "done a good job and called him a "mature rookie" with a "no-nonsense mentality." And with guys like Puka Nacua and Davante Adams to learn from, McVay likes the potential of the rookie wideout.
"So it's a great group, but I'm excited about CJ and he'll be another guy when you talk about the importance of the preseason, he'll be a guy I'm looking forward to watching play and obviously in these practice settings as well," McVay said.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Matthew Stafford looked across the Los Angeles Rams ' line in his first practice of training camp Monday and saw both the NFL Defensive Player of the Year and the highest-paid cornerback in the league. When he dropped back, he could throw to last season's NFL leader in yards receiving last season or touchdown receptions.
Stafford is the reigning NFL MVP and a Super Bowl champion himself, but he also spent enough seasons of his career on mediocre teams to recognize just how good he has it here in his 18th year.
"It was a blast to be out here today," Stafford said. "I'm surrounded by so many great players, and I don't take that for granted, both on our side of the football and on the defensive side. It's a blessing to come out here every single day and compete against these guys and play with the guys on the offensive side. Just an exciting time."
After sitting out of Sunday's opening practice as part of the Rams' plan to keep their franchise quarterback in top shape for the season ahead, Stafford looked remarkably sharp in his first workout of training camp. He repeatedly found All-Pro Puka Nacua and Davante Adams in solid coverage with long, precise throws that had the crowd at Loyola Marymount cheering.
The Rams made a handful of bold personnel moves in the past four months to maximize the size of their remaining championship window with their 38-year-old quarterback, but coach Sean McVay said on the opening day of camp that he won't measure his team's success or failure "by whether or not we win a Super Bowl."

As we pass the midway point of the 2020s, it's worth looking back at which players made the biggest impact on the NFL over the past five season.
The Los Angeles Rams were one of three teams to have at least three players listed on Fox Sports' "Half-Decade Team," with Davante Adams, Myles Garrett and Aaron Donald all earning spots on the star-studded roster. Los Angeles tied with the Kansas City Chiefs for the second-most representatives of any franchise, behind only the Baltimore Ravens' four. And if you're wondering where Matthew Stafford is, Fox Sports only picked one quarterback, and it was hard to leave Patrick Mahomes off this list.
But the Rams' total comes with an asterisk the Chiefs and Ravens don't share: two of the three honorees have spent a combined one season in Los Angeles so far. Adams arrived via trade in 2025 and just completed his first year with the team. Garrett only just joined this offseason after being dealt from Cleveland in a blockbuster move, and has yet to play a single snap in a Rams uniform. Only Donald's Rams tenure predates the recent roster overhaul — and he's been retired the past two seasons.
Adams made the cut at wide receiver alongside Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase. The 33-year-old is one of two receivers with three first-team All-Pro nods since 2020, alongside Tyreek Hill, and led the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns in his first season with the Rams.
Garrett headlines the edge rusher spot after setting a single-season NFL record with 23 sacks last season — while still a Brown. No edge rusher in the league has more first-team All-Pro selections since 2020 than his five, a total he shares the position slot with Pittsburgh's T.J. Watt.

With Cooper Kupp on the decline, the Los Angeles Rams decided to part ways with the former Super Bowl MVP and bring in another veteran, Davante Adams. They signed Adams after he was cut by the New York Jets, bringing him back to California and pairing him with Puka Nacua to create one of the best receiver duos in football.
Though it took some time for him to develop chemistry with Matthew Stafford, especially after the veteran QB dealt with back issues in camp, Adams went on to lead the NFL with 14 touchdown catches in only 14 games.
The Rams considered trading him away for A.J. Brown this offseason but decided to keep him for the final year of his contract, hoping to get Adams that elusive Super Bowl ring. He nearly cracked the top five of our most important players list, coming in at No. 6.
Just before the start of 2025 free agency, the Rams made a big splash by signing Adams to a two-year, $44 million contract. He was still considered a premier player despite his production slipping with the Raiders and Jets, so the Rams brought him aboard and gave Stafford yet another weapon on the outside.
Adams is entering the final year of his contract, so it's possible he'll hit free agency in 2027 if the Rams don't extend him beforehand.

The Los Angeles Rams have a stellar offense that is being commanded by one of the best quarterbacks in football. Despite their elite scheme and the play of Matthew Stafford, the team still needs playmakers and these three are in position to be that difference.
Here are three Rams who should exceed expectations in 2026, even as high as they might be.
Nacua is already one of the best receivers in football and yet he's still grossly underrated compared to his counterparts. Entering last season, there were some divided opinions about whether he was a top-10 wide receiver. His response was to continuously shine against the top defenses in 2025. Entering 2026, Nacua is considered one of the best but his current career track makes this the season where he goes from being among the NFL's top playmakers to being the best.
With Davante Adams being a year older and the Rams evolving their tight end usage, their only consistent receiving threat is Nacua. Naturally, he will see the majority of targets and with a scheme that can attack a variety of defenses, Nacua is the tip of the spear to the NFL's best passing offense. Even at Pro Bowl status, there's still another level Nacua could reach and 2026 is the perfect opportunity to reach it.
At some point, Trost has to see the field. He's essentially the Rams' main backup lineman. He will likely serve as the swing tackle and could challenge Justin Dedich and Beaux Limmer for the top backup role on the interior.

Part of what makes the Los Angeles Rams offense so dangerous is their receiving corps. Though they're lacking a true WR3, they have two of the best wideouts in the game atop the depth chart.
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler polled NFL executives, coaches and scouts from around the league to get their thoughts on the 10 best wide receivers in football, and both Puka Nacua and Davante Adams made the list.
Nacua was predictably ranked higher, making a huge jump from being an honorable mention last year to No. 4 this season. Still, no voter ranked him in the top two, and one had him ranked outside the top 10 altogether, somehow.
One NFL coordinator called him and Ja'Marr Chase, who ranked No. 1, the hardest receivers to tackle, also praising his ability to "play any spot."
Last year, Nacua was on the fringe of the top 10. He wasn't to be denied this year, appearing on all but one ballot.
