The Cleveland Browns are in the middle of the 2026 offseason, signing new players and shipping off the face of the franchise: Myles Garrett. And in the shadow of this year’s biggest blockbuster trade, the United Football League (UFL) playoffs are set to begin.
There are numerous former Browns players and coaches who are taking their shot at the UFL crown.

The UFL is allowing these athletes and coaches to keep their dream alive of once again playing in the NFL.
This weekend, the UFL playoffs are in full swing with two games slated on Sunday, June 7. The first contest pits the #1 Orlando Storm against the defending league champions, the #4 seed DC Defenders, with kickoff at 3:00 p.m. (Eastern). The game will be nationally televised on ABC. At 6:00 p.m., the #2 seed St. Louis Battlehawks are set to host the #3 Louisville Kings, with the game broadcast by FOX.

Just days after acquiring Myles Garrett from the Cleveland Browns, the Los Angeles Rams are giving their new superstar a raise. According to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk, Garrett and the Rams have agreed to a reworked contract.
Florio doesn’t have the full details of Garrett’s new contract, but it’s a five-year deal and there are options available through 2038. Previously, Garrett was signed through 2030.
The Rams are giving Garrett a $35.7 million signing bonus and his salary will be at least $1.3 million, which means his total pay for 2026 will be at least $37 million. Previously, he was set to make $31.5 million, so that’s a raise of at least $5.5 million.

Upon hearing the news about Myles Garrett, many reacted with a strange combination of fear and relief. There's no other way to put it. For a brief second, thoughts were juggled about how dangerous Garrett and Jared Verse would be as a tandem. Then, we all dug a little deeper.
Verse was part of the trade package that sent Garrett from the Cleveland Browns to the Los Angeles Rams. Whew… That was close. No one was ever going to be able to stop L.A.'s pass rush with those two monsters together. Then came the angle relative to the Baltimore Ravens.
Garrett is finally out of the AFC North! Oh come on! You know you cracked a smile. Following an OTA practice session that was open to the Baltimore media, Zay Flowers took some time to wipe the sweat from his brow.
Most Ravens fans can relate. Something isn't being talked about enough, though. Jared Verse isn't some slouch. Sure, the Browns no longer have the game's best defensive player on their roster, but by moving him, they added the guy who is very capable of taking that ******* le from him at some point.
Cleveland also added draft capital to help them continue building their roster. In addition to Verse, they receive a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick. That's a nice haul. If they hit the target with those choices. They can certainly continue upgrading their roster.

The presence of Schwesinger and others provides reason to believe that will continue to be the case and the hope is that the other **** ets that Cleveland acquired will lead to more victories while Verse is a member of the squad.

The Los Angeles Rams shocked the NFL world on Monday when they acquired two-time Defensive Player of the Year and seven-time All-Pro pass rusher Myles Garrett in a trade from the Cleveland Browns that sent three picks and Jared Verse back to the AFC North.
San Francisco 49ers offensive line coach Chris Foerster was among those stunned by the news, and he explained later on Tuesday why he's not happy about the deal.
"I said to Kyle (Shanahan), it's kind of a little gut punch, at first," Foerster said. "You feel like, 'Oh gosh.' Then you know, I woke up really early this morning, earlier than usual. "I sure did," Foerster said. "I just wanted to remind myself because it feels like it kind of came out of left field... You're sitting there saying, 'Oh, wow. What about this?' Then you remember him, but now we have in division. We'll play all of the time. He made a couple plays, and then you're like, 'Let me go back and look at the tape and see what it really was.'

Myles Garrett was added to the Commanders schedule earlier this week. The Cleveland Browns weren’t suddenly part of Washington’s slate. Garrett became one after being traded to the Los Angeles Rams in a blockbuster deal made official on Monday.
The Rams got Garrett. The Browns got young edge rusher Jared Verse, a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick and a conditional 2029 third-round pick.
That means Garrett will face the Commanders in a Week 9 matchup at Northwest Stadium. He almost exclusively lines up over the left tackle, creating an epic matchup with Washington’s Laremy Tunsil one of the best at his position.

We play the Rams in (Week 9), so it’ll be another fun one.”

As Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio relayed, a large portion of that payment was negotiated while he was still a member of the Buffs, and before he slipped from being a projected first-round pick to an eventual fifth-round draft slide in 2025. Thirty former Ohio State University football players, including ex-team captains and NFL veterans, have come forward to join legal efforts against the university over **** ual abuse by former OSU doctor Richard Strauss. The former players have signed engagement letters to join class action lawsuits, according to Michael DiSabato, a spokesman for the plaintiffs.
The new group of plaintiffs includes three members of the 1980 Rose Bowl team: Ray Ellis, Al Washington, and Keith Ferguson, all of whom played for coach Woody Hayes and went on to play some time in the NFL.
Other OSU athletes have come forward before but these new high-profile plaintiffs could bring increased visibility to survivors.

Washington, who played for the New York Jets for one season, later became an OSU linebacker coach. The Cleveland Browns came into the 2026 NFL offseason with a few very clear needs for their roster, with the offensive line and the wide receiver rooms as clear needs this offseason.
