Iowa State win over Kansas a reminder of Cyclones' Final Four potential
AMES, Iowa – In the attention economy, “What have you done lately?” has been largely replaced by, “What have you done right this second?” There’s no patience nor hardly any memory, but there certainly is an urgency bordering on frantic.
That makes for a tough environment to appreciate what Iowa State basketball has done. The Cyclones (22-3, 9-3 Big 12) are ranked fourth nationally, so it’s not as though they’re being overlooked or undervalued, but they’ve mostly only been in the national college basketball consciousnes

Earlier this week, Robert Griffin III, a former NFL quarterback from 2012 to 2020 (Redskins, Browns and Ravens), posted on X about why BYU had earned its place in the College Football Playoff. Punctuating his remarks, he said at the end: “Stop the persecution of the Christians, man ... come on!”
His commentary became a social media magnet for naysayers ready to recap their theological reasons for objecting to the label. But Robert Griffin III (often called RG3 for short), has heard this pushback before.

A University of Texas professor says AI didn't break college — it revealed how broken teaching was.
Steven Mintz said that mass lectures and formulaic essays dehumanized education long before AI.
He said that schools must automate rote learning so humans can focus on thinking and mentorship.
When Steven Mintz, a history professor at the University of Texas at Austin, opened 400 essays from his students, he noticed something uncanny. The sentences were the same. The structure was the same. Even the conclusions matched.

Boosting One Protein Reawakens Aging Brain Cells in Mice, Study Shows
A discovery by researchers from the Baylor College of Medicine in the US could lead to treatments that clear the troublesome aggregations of protein thought to play a key role in Alzheimer's disease.
Using mice bred to have a condition similar to the neurodegenerative disorder, the team found that elevated levels of a protein called Sox9 triggered specialized brain cells to go into clean-up overdrive, 'vacuuming' up plaques with increased efficiency.
In behavioral and memory tests, the treated mice also performed better
